10 days about unemployment? What a joke! FREE MICHIGAN! Sign the petition everyone who would like to earn money again! No stimulus yet? In Detroit Michigan there are more people asking for change that I’ve seen in my 36 years on this earth. Why isn’t the Governors asking Nancy to help already anything is better then no money and your scared to walk down the streets because it’s no longer safe in big city’s! Sad days in America! : )

Almost a personal tour on the day we visited. We were here collecting another stamp for the boys passports (all State capitals). We arrived just before the tour started and were the only ones when it started (late afternoon on a Friday).Always like the tours as you get more info and history about the capital and state. For instance, its easy to b forget that Michigan was once on a border with an enemy (war of 1812) and the capital was Detroit at that time and had been captured. We had a good time moving about the capital building and learning as we moved along.

I enjoyed a self guided tour of the Michigan State Capitol building yesterday and cannot wait to go back!! This building is a treasure within Lansing that should be seen by everyone! It is free to tour and an incredible experience in itself!! The pictures will not do this building justice!! Go see it as soon as you can!!!

A beautiful building and complex! Its open to the public and has free tours (check out their social media for virtual tours due to covid-19). Look at the beautiful flowerbeds around the complex and enjoy some shade under a tree on the lawn. Entrance is in the front, under the main steps. Pay close attention to the details like fossils in the floor tiles, 19th century Michigan made furniture, and meaningful paintings around the dome.

They have forgotten their oath of office under Michigan Constitution article 11 section 1, that they swore to uphold both the US and Michigan constitutions...It is not a time to simply blame the governor, but to realize all who are to blame for what is happening.

As history teachers a trip to the capital was a fun day trip for the two of us. The laws are well kept and touring the inside was a very cool experience. The structure of the building is magnificent and quite stunning. There are a couple of streets that give you really neat views of the building from farther away too. There are many restaurants in walking distance and the Michigan History museum is also close by!

The Michigan State Capital building is a definite destination when in Lansing, especially if youre a state capital aficionado. First, the support services are one of, if not the best, Ive encountered. If you cannot take the time for a guided tour (which I do recommend you make time to take) there are two excellent brochures guides. If you find yourself in between the hourly tours, us the guide for the Capital grounds and architectural details. The grounds numerous monuments, and their historical context are explained as well of an outstanding review of the many architectural features of the Capitals exterior features. I kept the architectural vocabulary page for future reference since it was so complete yet small.Another activity to do while waiting for a tour to begin, is to read the some of the many exhibition panels in the comfortable public waiting room.

Walking up to the Capitol, you are immersed in its stately elegance, all the striking attention to detail and beauty are right there for you to behold. The grounds are well manicured as well. Once inside, you proceed to the Rotunda, and prepare to be overloaded with the sheer majesty of it. Definitely go see both legislative chambers. The intricate details throughout are exhilarating. The place is also incredibly clean, not a speck of dust to be found. Bravo.

Google “Michigan seizes properties”. They will seize your property for minuscule missed tax payments and sell it and keep all profits. Even denying to take payment when the mistake is caught. And apparently they enjoy doing it. Live in another state. This one does not look out for the best interests of its citizens. Very very sad.
