Its a pretty little urban park, with a fishing pond, walking path, plenty of benches and a nice pavilion with an adjacent restroom. It was very clean and well kept up. The only downside is the location right next an electric power station, hence only 4 stars, but still a very nice little park! The power station doesnt hurt the park any, just asthetically, not very pretty to look at.
City of Lafayette has made a wonderful park for walking and running. Asphalt trails provide smooth surface and good elevation change.
What a wonderful park! Its very clean, and so peaceful. The paths are well maintained, and easy to walk. Families were fishing in the ponds; frogs were croaking in the reeds. A thoroughly enjoyable few hours to spend walking with my Son. The entrance is almost hidden on Greenbush. Find it! I hope youll enjoy the park as much as I!
Beautiful place to stop and just rewind you might say. Quiet place, nice place to walk and talk. You can take your animals there for walks to.
Nice park to walk in. Paved path around a pond . in-town location so it was a convenient spot to get a little stretch if the legs. Has a restroom if you really need it but was not a pleasant experience.
Great to see the colors change! Got a great walk in.
Neat park with a pond and some ducks and fish. Didnt like the view of nearby high tension electric lines and the constant hum of corona discharge from the lines and the transformer.
Really pretty park with great walking trails. Only complaint is the goose droppings on the trail, but thats nature for you! Overall, love the park!
Lovely and quiet. Trails are well maintained. People are respectful and friendly.
Really pretty place but the power plant being so close is a little bit of a downer
Loved this park!! Very quiet and very clean!! A gem in the middle of the city....hidden away!!! We had a great time!! Even found a couple Tippecanoe Rocks and rehid them!!!
Be nice to the duckies. Wish the pond wasnt a drainage runoff
THIS PARK IS ALWAYS CLEAN.. QUIET.. AND THE SCENERY IS A PLUS
Always a pleasant trip to Munger Park. The ground keepers at all of Lafayette parks deserve a pat on the back. They do an outstanding job.
Very open space, just wish the picnic area had more trash cans.
It was nice and calm on the backside, the entrance off of greenbush was to full to get into they were having a massive baby shower
Peaceful place to bring whole family. Pond has lunker bass in it also.:)
Nice place, nice trails ok. No public WiFi access. Fishing pond. Nice bathrooms and covered tables and power outlets.
The showpiece here is the large pond and walking path. Lots of ducks and geese, a nice shelter for picnicking.
I like that it feels secluded. The landscaping is really pretty. There’s a nice selection of playground equipment for kids too.
We love this park! Usually the playground is not too busy.
Perfect place to take the baby on a stroller ride!
Had a great time catching fish with my granddaughter! :)
Good walking trail with a shallow pond available for fishing (with a license)
Very nice!! Tge pond is gorgeous!!
Nice place to take the kids fishing and enjoy the day
Beautiful scenery great walking path
Its a small quiet park. There is a walking track that had hills so you get in that extra cardio. The childrens play area is well maintained as well as the rest of the park. Plenty of spots to picnic. Well worth the visit.
Great park to go for walk.
Great fun visiting the ducks here, playing on the playground, and using this as part of the Munger 5k jogging loop on the Strava app.
Good fishing place, nice park.
A nice short and scenic walking trail. There are restrooms, child play area, and paved parking area. This place is medium size and great for a picnic at the park. Its not too gigantic. There are large transmission power towers that traverse through the park and to a nearby large substation.
Great place to take kids to the small park or to go walking on the trails
Great little park with a shelter and paved walking trails. The DNR stocks the pond with channel catfish that are great to catch for dinner. You may even catch a larger flathead catfish that have been put in clandestinely by local anglers. You’ll need a fishing license unless it’s one of the free weekends the DNR has a few times a year.
This park is small but there is a great walking path and its very scenic. However, the downside is the nearby power station and overhead transformers. I am not sure its healthy to be around that kind of equipment so while we enjoyed our walk, we wont be returning very often for that reason. If power lines dont bother you then check out this pretty little park.
I love the little Park and the fishing pound I love what Lafayette made this Park back to in the early 80s this used to be Woods
Very nice walking trail. Easy wheelchair access as well. Park is well maintained
Nice park, pretty well kept up. Has a nice walking path, small play area for kids, and a small pond you could use for fishing.
Small but nice parl with trails both paved and rough. Also has good fishing for blue hill and channel cat.
It was a little flooded which actually made it perfect. The water went up on the concrete surrounding the pond, and turned it into a lil splash park for the kids to play on while we fished.
Munger Park is, of all the Lafayette, Indiana Parks, by far the nicest and most private and peaceful . It also the cleanest. Bathrooms are very kept at them all. Those that have a bathrooms. Sadly irresponsible people, as well as disrespectful people loiter and trash the parks, as well as other locations. City hasnt done much to clean up the city, as far as trash. It isnt just the homeless.
A nice little park with a fiahing hole. Have not had any luck here yet...
Did not feel safe walking the path.
Nice place to take your children to play at playground. Nice walking paths, restrooms, picnic shelter and pond fishing.
Its nice and kinda exclusive so dont have 2 worry bout others intropping u and ur family
Loved the walk and great place for the kiddos to play half way
Love munger trail and park. Ive made a lot of sweat there.
Nice park. Theres no shade over the playground equipment, but thats the only downside. Theres a walking trail, bathrooms and water fountain.
Really nice park but it floods often. City needs to add some drains to a couple spots that are nearly always impassable due to standing water
Beautiful park!!
Love the park, bathrooms in both ends. Just wish there was a tad bit more shade/trees.
Long walks. Fun playground
Need to stock more fish. But still fun.
Its an okay place for a leisurely stroll. Not a whole lot to do here, but if youre looking for a change of scenery and a fairly quiet place to walk, think, or get away for a little while, it might be worth a visit.
My kids love walking here.
Fishing could be a lot better if they stocked once in a while
Very nice walking park. BeautifulWell maintained
Typical neighborhood park and restrooms it was clean we enjoyed ourselves and the kids had a great time
Munger Park is a great place for a quiet walk on a sidewalk around a nice po
Perfect for a small park
Go fishing very relaxing
This is a beautiful park and its great for families.
This is a really nice elegant park. You may ride your bike or just simply walk around. Theres also a small shed area where you can sit down, eat and relax.
Good park for walking/running. They have a small playground for the kids. There were also some picnic tables where we had lunch.
I went for a stroll for 30 minutes and no one was there. Only me.
This park is nice--i walked on, and really enjoyed, the trails. Its a lot bigger than i thought it would be. One thing i didnt like were the medians in the trails. I was walking with friends, and the medians were really annoying to maneuver with multiple people. Other than that it was a good experience.
Its a park and its well maintained. I wouldnt recommend reading there because of the constant hum off the transformers. There is an exercise station by the playground which Im sure would be ideal for advice parents.
Great walking paths! Quiet.
Great place to walk!!
Nice little park
Great pond to catch 4+lb largemouth for the experienced fishermen willing to climb through a jungle to get to the other side.
BARK GRRRR
Peaceful place.
Peaceful quiet place to visit
We met my mom halfway for a kid swap here. The pond is lovely, the shade is plentiful and the breeze was delightful! We will definitely be coming back to picnic again!
Had a great time fishing
Would be nicer without the giant electrical substation.
Small bet a good place for a walk or to take the little ones.
I just went for a short walk to clear my head. Very peaceful, and calming
Nice place to have lunch and then take your dog on a walk. Also if you are into fishing great place to go.
This is the neatest park in the area. Come for a quiet walk, or watch the geese come and go. Relax
Good spot to go fishing
Bathrooms closed for the winter.
Great walk track small park but mainly geared towards younger children
My best place to take a walk
Best park. Simple. Peaceful. Easy to keep eye on kids.
Good small park with a great view. Good for walks runs and even bird watching.
Small park, but enough for little kids. Nice walking path.
Great place to fish
This park features a long walking/biking path around a pond and an open-sided picnic pavilion. The scenery is a bit blemishes by the power station next door and the power lines running overhead.
Its a great place for a long walk
I love to fish..and can take my dog to enjoy a complete day at the park.
Its a great little park with ponds to walk around the equipment is kept in fair shape and has pavilion places for bbqs, birthdays, etc.
Beautiful wooded park
There are nice accessable paved trails, a good playground, some prairie and a pond.
