A great place for young kids my 3.5yo spent 4 hours there without getting bored for a moment. To us parents it may look somewhat outdated, but the kids just dont care, plus we liked the fact that the different rooms and corners are sponsored by small, local businesses. Just wonderful. Cost us $21 entrance to both parents and 1 child, and it was very worth it. Also, coolest restroom ceiling ever (see photos).

Lovely place to spend a rainy afternoon with young children.Not very big, but a lot of cute details - enough to keep the kids busy for a couple of hours.Ours (aged 2, 4 and 6) loved the make-believe veterinarian, supermarket (with working cash registers) and restaurant. Also area with dinosaur toys, soap bubble factory etc.Nice museum store as well with cool toys.

Great rainy day fun. My autistic nephew loved it! Expecically the bubbles and blocks.

We visited the Childrens Museum of Acadiana not long after moving here Spring 2019. We immediately decided to join the yearly membership and are so glad we did. We have been probably 15-20 times this year with our 3 and 5 year olds. They love it every single time!! New, the small playground outside is a lot of fun and has artificial grass so it will hold up better when it rains! We will definitely be renewing our membership this year! The staff is always nice and accommodating. All of the exhibits are fun; Veterinarians office, supermarket, restaurant, ambulance, bubbles, news station, dinosaurs, barnyard and more!

This place is great! My 2yr old played nonstop for hours & had to bribed to leave. I will say, the adults should probably be well caffeinated because its probably going to be a long day. The admission is good for all day so youre able to leave (especially good if your little one still takes naps) and return later. The staff is so friendly & helpful. Well definitely be returning soon.

My kids love coming here. Its a great place to bring the little ones to escape the heat or rain. Its really awesome, so many things to do but ir would be nice to see newer stuff.

Great place for kids!! The cafe setup was so amazing! They have a huge fun bubble station. Arts & crafts. I place the can play pretend vet and bank. An ambulance for the kids to go it. It isnt to costly at all definitely worth it!!

Wonderful experience for young kids. Plenty to do. Had a good time playing even as a parent. Definitely worth going whether youve been there before or not.

Our family loves the childrens museum. Its a great place to visit for a while and let them explore in a safe environment. Theyre also updating their exhibits so that every couple of months you get to experience something new. The staff is always kind and helpful. This is also a great location to have a birthday party. Not only is it fun for the kids but they make it so easy for the parents. Very happy that we decided to purchase the membership so that we can go as often as our little ones want.

Great place for kids. Only problem was that everything felt sticky/dirty. I think the place needs a good long wipedown scrub type cleaning.

We bring our church kids group here every year and they always have a blast. Its even nicer now since theyve updated alot of their areas.

I want to give this museum a better review really I do but its so much smaller than your lead to believe. Its pretty affordable, but I truly expected more. Theres alot of pretend centers but only a one STEM activity. Its essentially a large play room.

The Easter hunt was great! So many kids get to run around and look for the eggs. With all the other activities for egg dying and slim making our kid had a blast. Super thank you to all the staff and volunteers there to help with event.

Check hours before going, according to sticker on door they are closed on Sunday. Im leaving 5 stars because I know its hard updating times everywhere. We will come back another day!! Have made edit in Google database for times.

The updates and maintenance definitely show. Theyve done alot of improvements. Our visit today was supremely organized and all staff were professional and helpful. Lots of hands on experiences and so many details everywhere you look.

Had amazing time with my little brother... Tbh me and 27yr old sister probably had more fun than my 10yr old brother! Were fortunate enough to have went on a day they had a Valentine workshop, the arts of craft lady was friendly and sweet! Definitely would come back!

They got my 10 year old daughter interested in the Rasberry Pi. Was wonderful to see the little things she would come up with writing programs. A great place to stimulate the young mind. Thanks keep up the great work.

A wonderful place to bring you kid for a fun day indoors. There are various activites and stations for the kids to play and explore. One of the best places to let a childs imagination soar.

Best birthday party we have had. Staff is friendly and prices are reasonable compared to the other available venues.

Lots to see and do at this museum. You could spend hours here and not have enough time for the kids to play with everything. This is a very hands on experience. Parking can be difficult with a small lot.

My kids LOVE the museum. They have been a lot and still light up when I tell them were going. My 3 year olds favorite thing is the mock Super One. My 10 year old is a big fan of the bubble factory.

The museum is clean and safe with lots of fun games and activities for children of all ages to enjoy. The staff is very helpful and always going above and beyond to help members and guests.

Love this place. You are always greeted with a smile and the kids just take off running in different directions. Theres so much for them to do,learn,and experience. From a veterinary center to a doctors office, puppeteering,grocery store diner,dentist, real ambulance that they can sit and drive or ride along in the back, there is an art room with new crafts everytime, newsroom,outerspace,and then they have leggos and blocks, magnetic table and felt board and lets not forget the awesome bubble area. Its so fun and the adults get to be kids again. They host birthdays and even clean up the mess.

For a city the size of Lafayette it’s pretty good. Nothing incredible, but has all your classic children museum exhibits.

It was cool and had some fun things but did not keep my 7 year old Daughters interest very well. The dino section was a disappointment!

Great place to tAke my 5 y/o gdgtr., on a hot summer day. There is lots of play time, arts & crafts activity games & interaction with other kids their age. Staff & volunteers are friendly & helpful too.

Nice for a quick visit, don’t make a day out of it because it’s a quick outing. You’ll see and do everything within an hour, I’d still recommend a visit.

The museum was excellent. I just wish it was even bigger!

A little disappointed with how small it was considering its in a two story building. 20 dollars for two adults and my daughter is expensive for what is offered. Wont be going back.
