The paved trail circles around the reservoir and it has very nice views. There are also trails going up to the hills. Very nice and well maintained area. Good for family weekend excursion.

Great location, looks like recent maintenance has taken place. Lots of clear signs about wearing masks and keeping distance. Unfortunately, many adults were not wearing masks, or had them pulled down, and made no attempt to distance.

A little bit of everything for everyone. A special spot in CCC to go and get away from it all. Last time I was here was with a Christian singles meet up group. We had a great spot over in the picnic area. They only have one real restroom here. Go for a walk around the reservoir. Or, take a hike on the trails up above. Dont remember how much it costs to park here. Great place to get out.

Fun hike with a good deal of hills and a few very steep parts. The Rim Trail is a bulldozed fire road, so there is little vegetation where you walk, but lots of trees and bushes all around it.There are at least 3 separate pods of wild turkeys that inhabit this area and youll find them on the path as well as near the bottom of the earthen dam.Bring at least a liter of water on cool days and considerably more on hotter days. You can fill up at the dam entrance, but once on the Rim Trail, there is no water.

No matter what time of day or time of year, its really beautiful. The trails are wonderful and the picnic areas are great. The kids love the playground. Plus there is a place to rent boats. Its a great place to get a great workout, hike some beautiful trails, spend time with family and friends, or just enjoy the day.

I drove a group of friends to this place as i was curious. Very pretty spot... Great for so many things such as dog walking and walking as there are paved paths all around the reservoir. Theres also paddle boating on the reservoir. If you want a family picnic this is a truly gorgeous and magical spot.

Enjoyable 3 mile paved walking trail. My friends informed me this paved hiking trail mustve been recently repaved, as it looked new. You have beautiful scenic views everywhere, and you can see occasional wildlife as you walk along the trails, such as wild turkeys, squirrels, and deer. Paddle boats, and flat bottom boats are available for rental here to ride across the reservoir. Day camp areas, pavilions, and barbecue pits are available. Toilets are readily available about every 100 yards or so. This is a good thing. Overall, it was an enjoyable afternoon/evening. Memberships are available for this place as well. You get a great parking place, and I believe you get discounts on boat rentals/facilities as well. Great place for famiilies to go and enjoy, and the kids can learn about nature and wildlife. Two thumbs up, along with 5-stars.

Nice place to go for a walk around the reservoir. Plenty of parking but you do have to pay per hour Not a huge park so won’t spend too much time there. Fishing pier area for $5 daily fee unless you have license already then it is free. Wish there were other fishing spots around the lake as the pier is usually packed.

I started taking my kid to the little park here recently, very scenic and nice trails around the reservoir. Ive only come here on weekday mornings and parked in the 2 hour parking lot for $3, usually a bunch of cars but a lot of spots available. The day pass ($7) lot is way bigger and usually pretty empty.

For those interested in getting some exercise, this area has two areas to go for a walk or hike. The Rim Trail is about 5 miles long and has quite a few steep ascents and descents. The trail is very scenic. The second place to go for a walk is far more level so with some gradual ascents and descents and is about 2.5 miles long. Both trails are partially shaded and partially uncovered. If its hot bring plenty of water!

Beautiful. We come here to fish. We mostly pull out Bass. I dont know how often they clean there bc we went on a Monday n the garbage can on one of the docks was knocked over. When we came back that Wednesday, it still wasnt cleaned up. Also one of the shores had an obscene amount of poop. The smell was overwhelming, we had to move. However, the hike trail is well kept n clean from what we hiked.
