Plenty of parking, great areas to park yourself, beach access, great renovations to make the place look nice. Beautiful views, especially when you walk out into the water on the walkway that encircles the swimming area. Plus, its a short walk to tons of restaurants - any kind of food you want. This is a great place to chill
I really enjoyed my first experience doing Paddleboarding in Juanita Beach. We bought the tickets in Groupon, and we reserved a time in their website. Everything was ready for us. The staff was very enthusiastic and friendly. They explained the basic instructions for us, and helped us on the way to the water. The beach/lake was cold, but very refreshing. There was a lot of people, but most of them were keeping social distancing and wearing masks. It was fun to see the wildlife (mostly ducks) and enjoy the sun, breeze and cold water. Remember to use sunscreen . I will recommend this experience 100%.
Stay away because this is a great place to walk and I want to keep it to myself . Nice view of Lake Washington, Seattle and a natural preserve from the dock which forms a long looping walkway. New restrooms, new childs playground and other park buildings are nearly complete. Plenty of parking with overflow parking in the park across the street.
It was a fun place to stop when we had an hour to spare. There was a nice sandy beach and the water was shallow for quite a ways so my kids could wade and cool off. I really like the board walk around the water. We have gone during cooler weather and still were able to enjoy the views and walking over the water way. During normal times the kids were also able to enjoy the playground there.
Beautiful view. Lots of space and tables to sit at. Sand on the beach. Sandy under the water. Very shallow swim area for kids. Long dock to walk in. Grass open for passing a soccer ball back and forth or playing Frisbee. Lots of parking even an extra lot across the street. Volleyball nets. Nice little creek nature area. Kids play area. Fairly clean restrooms. One of our favorite places.
Well kept, soft grass, ample shade, pet friendly. These are the most attractive features I value in this location. Perfect spot to kick off the shoes, lay down and stare at the beautiful blue sky, sun glinting thru the trees. A great place for a picnic with loved ones or a frisbee toss with a buddy (2 or 4 legged).
The place would have been beautiful if its maintained well. You can see a lot of people wandering there without face covering.Nobody has bothered about Covid 19 and no Cops in that premises too.Even though the beach area is spacius you feel it is over crowded. Remember you can swim at your own risk because life guards are not on duty during pandemic.
A beautiful beach so very close to the road and if you are a South India foodie, the famous Katdhakali restaurant is just two minutes away. Talking about the beach there is amble parking space, which directly opens to the kids play area. The play area has a number of swings and other kids outdoor playing stuff. The long walk way at the side of the beach is very well maintained. During summer time it would be a perfect place for family to have some fun swimming time.
Super nice place for a walk... Took a stroll on the beach on a full moon night... the place was peaceful, limited people (likely due to Covid). Highly recommend for a evening walk with family and kids.
Just a great park with the beach and boardwalk. Parking can get tight especially on days with warm weather.
They have this really cool dock that goes way out and back around. They have completely change since I grew up around there..its a very popular park...
Went floating here and will say that its the best lake spot i have ever been to. Massive open space of shallow water, surrounded by a loop boardwalk. Kayak rental shop right nearby. Definitely stop by and see all you can!
I love this place we use to go here all the time when I was a kid. Great memories! Im happy that it is still here and open
Love this place! Its a nice little escape right by home. The park has seating areas and play areas and its currently being renovated to include new bathrooms. Its also right by a number of restaurants so you can pretty spend most of the day in the area if you want.
Well reserved and not overly crowded. Perfect getaway to go paddle boarding and boat riding. Felt safe on these waters definitely recommend it for those adventurers out there.
Kind of scummy. Lots of affluence. The board walk is so so. Seems like the future construction would do some good. Perhaps make the entire space between the beach and the village pedestrian friendly and you could have a Venice Beach vibe.
Occasion: was with wife, nature walking.Pros: beautiful, quiet, scenic, natural, beautiful. Lots of wildlife. Very relaxing. Easy parking.Cons: lots of dogs. Some aren’t as friendly as others. Little isolated. The whole trip wil last no more than 90 minutes.Bottomline: worth visiting. But not. Day trip, just a walk. Would I go back, yes!
I have been there to visit the farmer market which is usually held July through September on Fridays. The market features variety of freshly grown vegetables, fruits etc from the local vendors. Also there is usually few stalls with fast foods like crepes, tacos etc.The park itself is beautiful with access to get into water. They have kayak rentals on site if you are interested. Parking is available in the park and if it gets full during the events, extra parking is available across street.
On a rainy or sunny or any day, this beach is just awesome for the ramp walk overall the water. Pretty scenic to visit around sunset time.
A good place to come and let the kids play. Lots of parking, a decent little strip of sand, and the water never gets too deep. The water is pretty gross sometimes though
Beautiful park, Very up kept, Always be cautious of algae blooms with the fowl there. You can see space needle from there if you know where to look.
This park is great for a quick walk, its very easy to go around and not cross back over your path if youd like. Theres a path that goes out through the lake a bit that people have fished off of that is nice to go out on. Theres a maintained beach that the park staff regularly test the water content for and post warnings if you shouldnt be out in the water. Currently the playground and restrooms are undergoing a major construction, but will be very nice and updated this Fall (2020). I love living near this park and encourage others to visit it if they can!
Very nice park in downtown Juanita. Ample amount of parking plus theres a spillover lot across the street. It can get a bit crowded on weekends during the summer, but theres still room to roam around. Covered picnic area with grills Etc. Nice playground area for kids to play. Theres a walk-around dock in the marina, so good place to go for a walk after youve eaten. They also rent kayak and paddle boards here too.
Nice walking path. Two volleyball courts where teams can play. Little playground area for kids. Very good area to visit. Would definitely come here again.
If you just want to sit in your car with a quaint view of nature and watch lots and lots of people walking, this can be a pretty great option.I figured that if we make 5-6 rounds of the circular trail over the lake, I am able to achieve my daily step goal.
This is the best place to take my toddler to play in the sand and paddleboard. We love it!
Good beach but the playground was closed when I was there.
Since the construction, theyve been dumping this into the water..... Oily orange stuff that wasnt there before and as you can see its coming straight from the construction guys area/trucks. Pictures dont even do it justice, come see! Awful!
I love this park for walking laps and just getting out on the waterfront and enjoying fresh air. The park seems to be under some construction, so I am excited to see what they do. I only gave it 4 stars for a reason that is big to me. That was 2 places where there seems to be road runoff being dumped. One in the swim area, and the other in the natural habitat area. Looking down and seeing ducks swimming in swallow water with oil shimmering surface was discouraging to see. It definitely underlines the bigger issue that we face with combustion engines.
A beautiful spot by the lake. A pleasant spot for a picnic or just a sunset view.
I loved playing pool at this hall. I felt welcomed, the pizza was good and I had lots of fun!
Great place on the lake to relax. Lots of activities and some good food options. Between the toxic algae and the fecal matter count I would personally avoid the the water although many seem fine with it.
Beautiful lakefront park, wheelchair accessable with places to eat within walking distance.
Free! Clean, quiet atmosphere. Sand volleyball, playground for the kids, trails, lots of grassy spots for picnics and places to set out blankets whether in shade or sun. There is a large shallow area for swimming (no lifeguard), surrounded by a large dock-like platform thats great for walkers and joggers. Theres also kayak and paddleboard rentals.
This is an amazing park. Theres a nice walking trail through the woods, three different crosswalks to get to it, and a well-maintained beach to swim and play in the sand at. Theres also a playground for kids. The farmers market on Fridays from June through September is a big draw as well, featuring local businesses and farms that you might not have met before. I love this park and visit regularly. This is the perfect place to relax if you ever get the chance to visit.
When I first moved here 25 years this is one of the first places we really started to frequent now its so crowded people are nice but theyre not with their dogs they get upset if your dog barks I mean thats how dogs communicate wed rather go somewhere else and also the toxic blue algae our dog got so sick its nice but its really not for families to go walking or hiking or for your animals it used to be really nice now its too crowded. Kirkland Parks and Recreation needs to put up signs of toxic blue algae everywhere where we can see them. we were at a spot where there were no signs and thats just not okay our dogs almost died. Its also under construction for the longest time so its just a construction zone itll be finished sometime but in the meantime its still a construction zone with a whole bunch of people too many people.
Its a wonderful place to enjoy sunsets!!!!
Its under development and so much nicer than it used to be. There will soon be bathrooms and a concession stand. There is a walkway that does a loop out over the water, and a beautiful path through the wetlands. At night you can see the lights of downtown Seattle and the 520 bridge.
Nice place to relax down by the water, you have options to rent paddle boards and I think kayaks. theres a nice boardwalk on the water for a short distance.
Beautiful, great to walk around and play volleyball or read and relax, there is alot of options to do at this beach... the only thing I dont necessarily like is the water, many times the beach is closed off due to water pollution or toxins in the water. Just be aware of the signs when trying to go swimming.
Beautiful park with amazing views. Try not to miss the sunset so plan your timings accordingly.
Great place for whole family to enjoy some evening time after dinner!
Great beach for a nice summer day. Good place to launch your SUPs, kayaks.
Beautiful park with a selection of trails and walk ways. Most of the park is currently under construction but they have it blocked off from the rest of the park well. Plenty of park benches and tables for the perfect picnic. Easy parking as well as handicap friendly parking and walkways.
Well maintained park. Has a nice loop bridge on a water. Its a good place to spent couple hours.
Short trek from paradise. Could not hike down to the falls because of the snow in the ground. Love mount Rainier and surrounding beauties.
This place will be incredible once construction is over. I love that this Beach is great for kids (shallow for many 60 meters), Beach volleyball, sun bathing, and eating!
The boardwalk here is real cool. This park is being updated and always looks great. I ride my bike through here a lot.
Nice place to take a walk. Really long deck. Small beach area and not good for swimming . Very shallow water
Nice place but is under construction and not enough parking spaces.
I love it there and so close. It would be perfect if not for seaweed in the lake
Pretty park, with a cool water bridge to walk on.
This is a beautiful place. I like to walk out to the water and just see water for what it is and how it contributed to life. The best thing about this beach park is its a friendly, safe place to bring your kids during the summer weather. To see kids interact with nature is awe inspiring. Adults( big kids) also can just chill, lay out, read, meet with friends. They offer rentals for paddle boards,so if you want a different experience with the water than just admiring or wading, they got what you need!!!
Nice areas to walk with your dog
Overall nice space to walk. Currently under construction, but still plenty of room and open areas. Looks well maintained, with no trash or overflowing waste bins. Has portable toilets.
Lovely beach, wish the sand went back further but great view
They have a good firework show here no 4th of July.
Everyone that comes here is very respectful, and clean. Great swimming area for kids. Kayak rentals are very reasonable.
One of the best places to be when in Kirkland. If you love nature, water, sunsets or is looking for a peaceful place, this is The Heaven on Earth! One of my favorite time to take a stroll here is during Fall to see the sunset! There are great places to eat nearby in walking distance. There is park for children to play as well as for adults to play sports like volleyball. During summer you can hire canoe here. This is my familys favorite place to be.
This is a nice place to walk and relax.
We had a terrific time. Everything was great except the ridiculous decision to close the dock because of COVID-19. Apparently the virus is more dangerous on the dock.
Lovely free park. Great scenery. Love the availability of kayaks, the swing, slide cool atmosphere for kids and adults. Love this place
My girlfriend and I have never been here before, so we spontaneously planned to stop at the park named after her aunt. It was one of the nicest places weve ever been.
While its under construction, its still a convenient, enjoyable spot with some great shade areas. Just know there is limited space.
This is a beautiful place to enjoy with friend and family, or even by yourself. You can go for a run, enjoy some time just relaxing by the lake, a barbecue or picnic with friends and family, and aquatic activists as paddle boarding. Also, they have activities as the lanterns evening which is really beautiful. The only downside is that obviously it gets crowded and parking might be not so easy, but if you prepared ahead or are willing to accept that, then it should be a great experience.
Interesting Stroll Through Time Despite A Warp. Quite A Show. The Flesh-Eating Disease In Florida I Read About Earlier Today Was Quite A Horror. Someone Must Be Comfortably Numb...
The beaches were so pretty and clean, everything was well kept. They just dont have public bathrooms only portal-pottys
Well maintained. Kayaking was fun
It is peaceful. There is a walking path, in case you go for a walk. There is a bridge which has a nice view.
Lovely place to play beach volleyball!
Great quite place. My kids love it.
Really loved it! Fabulous boardwalk. Great place to get your feet wet!!
What a beautiful park! It can be a bit busy but parking isnt so bad. Overall wonderful experience.
Good for kayaking and kids swimming spaceSmall beach sizeRent boatsGood parking nearby
Very spacious, long beach and boardwalk to walk along. There is also a volleyball area and playground.
Lots of space so it never seems crowded on the beach and good food at the Indian restaurant across the street
Love this beach. Cutest little town to spend the evening in
This park had a lot going for it - great city views, a volleyball court, a playground, a nice dock for doing laps, etc. - but there have been cleanliness issues at times. Its been shut down due to bacteria in the past, and Ive seen glass in the sand and oil in the water. The thing that bothers me the most is the smell. My wife likes to walk down there but when she comes back the smell has penetrated her clothes. I dont know why its so strong but its pretty bad and doesnt go away for at least an hour.
A nice area, and also a great place to play Pokemon Go!
Beautiful beach and park. Has been under construction and remodeling for month. CAUTION to be use at beach areas due to Algae.
Beautiful ️. The water is closed due to bacteria levels but kids having lots of fun playing in the sand
This is a nice park getting nicer. Work now underway on the new amenities. Lots of ducks.
Decent amount of parking and usually there’s a spot to sit down and hangout with the family or friends! Water access is also always a blast!
We went here over the weekend around almost 6 PM with my daughter. My bf mentioned this place to me, we decided to check it out and good thing we did. My daughter enjoyed the playground set albeit it only had about 3 to 4 things to do not counting the swings. The main attraction that the kids went to was that one light gray slide. I’m giving this place 4 stars based on my experience that day. Finding a parking was easy (I didn’t expect it to be since the weather was nice and thought that this place would be crowded, maybe because we went there a little late already). I didn’t get the chance to walk around because I was watching my daughter but overall the place was peaceful, the people were nice and not rowdy, and the view was fantastic. One pet peeve; the kids’ playground set I feel should have been bigger with more activity instead of having 2 different/separate swing set. I would rate the playground itself a 2.75 but the park as its’ entirety again would be 4 stars especially because I didn’t go around except the playground area.
Such a nice place! Not big but good enough to spend some time with the family
My kids love this park. They have play area with lot of swings. Its wheelchair accessible and has public restrooms.
Green quiet and clean very little people lots of open space will look after no trash no garbage no needle doesnt look anything like that in town Seattle
It will be great when the play area is finished, walking trails and horse shoes!! Beautiful!
Love this local spot but so its SO dirty! Glass and garbage everywhere in the sand. Couldnt let my kids play and will never let my kids swim there.
The lifeguards were super friendly and helpful. The park had great visualization and was well maintained. Theres ample things for visitors to do and plenty of parking if you get there just a littlw early. I took a small field trip group with me and the kids loved it. The water isnt too deep so swimming wasnt as stressful as it is other places, there were enough loaner life jackets for my whole group of kiddos, and there was plenty of seating. The bathrooms could have been a little better in repair but they were still clean and well stocked.
Really great clean park, will be better when construction is done.
Great location with potential but the city and locals dont take care of it. Trash is a major issue, along with dog poo and the annual bacteria outbreak from the build up of duck feces. This Beach and the surrounding area needs a major infrastructure overhaul and moreso, the city needs to stop approving projects that contribute to the increasing population density. The roadways cant support it and neither can the local environment.
Great place to enjoy a little PNW summer sunshine.
Great dog park and people watching place, far long walk around the pier built recently a few years ago, sandy beaches and plenty of accommodations, a volley ball court, and on certain weekends, food trucks and ice cream. My dog and I often walk here for the fresh air and natural surroundings. PEACE!
Great experience. Loved the view from bridge and took lot of candid photos. Best for a short walk near the busy roads. Also saw people playing volley ball near the bay.
What more can be said Juanita Beach Park incredible views
