A great little adventure out of the city limits. The perfect toddler trail walk. Wide, clearly marked trails. You might even get to see or pet a horse along your way!I didnt see any bathrooms near the parking lot. After our hike, we ate at Burgermaster in our car not far away...the perfect social-distancing trip for two going crazy sitting at home girls!

Loved Bridle Trails State Park! Such a great urban forest with tons of trail options to choose from. I really enjoyed encountering horses, I feel like them running in the wind. While there is horse dung on the trails it is not overbearing and easy to walk around. Every human I encountered was friendly but for the most part it felt I was alone in the forest to get lost in the natural beauty.Pro tip: there is free parking east of the entrance that only adds a couple minutes to get in the park.

This was a pretty and easy wander with a couple of toddlers. Just nice for a wander in the woods to check out some mushrooms and be amongst the trees.Cant stay super long as there doesnt seem to be much access for water or restrooms, but ok for a short walk.

A decent walk - no, make that about 50 decent walks! There are so many criss-crossing routes that you could go 50 times and not take the exact same route. The downside of that is that youre never quite sure where you are. Lol

Would hundred percent recommend as a good trail. It has three different trails - 1 mile, 1.6 mile and about 3.2 miles. Excellent place for a run or a walk. Would definitely go again. Take care to not get off trail as there are a lot of diverging paths in each trail. Even if you get lost, after walking awhile you will reach the trail markers and can get back on to a trail plus lots of people moving about routinely.

A little monotonous but worth a visit. It gets pretty muddy in a few places (atleast on the coyote loop which is the only one I did) so make sure you wear waterproof shoes. The hike itself is pretty easy, moderate elevation gain but nothing crazy. My knees were recovering from an injury and I still did not have trouble doing a 5 mile.Mountain biking is not allowed. Theres only one restroom in the entire park I believe which is a bummer. Highly recommend making that your first stop.

A beautiful place to ride your horse, hike, mushroom hunt, watch a horse show. The trails range from wide and easy, well maintained to off the beaten path rustic. The parking lot is large, great arenas and facilities. Ive seen reviews where people have complained about the horse poop, well its an equestrian park so, yeah there is that. If you dont like horse poop go somewhere else.

The PNW is one of the few places in the country where you can be near a major city but still find places like this to get away for a peaceful hike. Love bringing my kids here. They are 4 years old and always love seeing all the different kinds of mushrooms growing on nurse logs, Birds, and mud puddles (with appropriate footwear of course). Get off the couch and go out for a hike today!

It is a nice park with dense growth and multiple, well marked trails that should be easily accessible to most people. If can be a nice change off pace for a couple laps trail running if you are looking for something more local. Be warned though that horses also use these trails and there can sometimes be quite the buildup of manure.

Large park with tons of large and small trails winding through it. Bring your phone so you can navigate with Google maps, otherwise you might get lost if you arent paying close attention to which side trail you took. There are some trail signs at intersections, but not all have signs. You need a discover pass to park in the parking lot, but can buy a one day pass for $11 online if needed. You will need paper and pen to write the one day pass number on a sheet of paper to put on dashboard of car if you do that.

This trip to Bridle Trails State Park was arranged to have volunteer park staff members working as docents to manage our walk in this wery large park of several hundred forested acres. As a UW forestry major prior to changing to civil engineering it was exciting to remember the scientific names of the firs and cedars I had to know. The review of how this forest was saved for public use, rather than for homes is a story in itself. A very good place to hike. While there we made room for the horse and rider to pass. So the park is properly named.

We stumbled upon this beautiful park and equestrian facility. Also a lovely place to walk around. Everyone was so respectful and kind and seemed to take pride in the property. There are places to sit and even picnic tables for dining. Good to read the board before hiking on one of the trails, lots of helpful information posted there. They have a website that lists all the horse events throughout the year. A beautiful little oasis right outside the city.

I regularly walk through this park as I live nearby. Wonderful place! So quiet (save the natural noises) and you quickly forget youre in a town, not far from fairly busy roads. The miles of trails are great! I enjoy looking for different fungi and fauna. I try to attend the walks that the Bridle Trails Park Foundation hosts to learn more about plants, animals, and mushrooms in the park.Watch where you step due to the horses on the trail. Im used to it, plus it is just herbivore poop. Nothing too crazy... if you step in a little its basically just compost. Likely you will wipe it off on your hike. Grab some Western hazelnut leaves to wipe it off.Be aware that you will likely lose cell service as you get deeper into the park. It can be a surprise since youre not really in a remote area, but it happens. If you are concerned, carry a whistle and a flare.

What an awesome hidden gem! Ive driven by there a few times but never explored. We checked it out on July 4th on a sunny day and the park is empty and super quiet. Signage is great, parking lot is big, trails well maintained. Some horse poop on the trails. Lots of room. Such a great park especially with being so close to the highway. 3 main trails as I could tell with different lengths so definitely something for everyone. Great for families as well.

This is a large space in Kirkland Washington that is specifically focused for horses. The large parking lot is easy for horse trailers and there are corrals available. Many of the local homeowners with horses will ride through the park so be aware of the etiquette of hiking with horses. We hike here frequently without horses because it is such a beautiful forested park. Its large enough that you need to pay attention or else theres a good chance you will wander a bit within the park. Note that these are not paved trails so you should be comfortable with with unpaved and uneven surfaces

So underrated. It was like walking back in time to see the pacific northwest before it was torn apart. Native salmon and black berries creep over massive ferns and fallen logs. 5 minutes into the pristine nature of this park and the cars, people and noise of the city disappeared. I love taking my dog for a lap on the coyote trail. That being said, I hope this review doesnt bring more traffic on this perfect spot.

Absolutely beautiful place. There are three trails to take, 1 mile, 1.5 miles and 3.5 miles. We took the middle one and it was pretty flat and very pretty. There are some educational displays on the trails. As guessed by the name, you share the trail with horses so please read the right of way rules sign at the trailhead. The sign is not kidding about needing a park pass for the parking lot. We forgot to put our pass on the dashboard and got a $99 ticket in less than an hour. Completely our fault. There is an iron ranger there to buy a pass and pay with, so dont be us. This beautiful place is worth contributing the donation for the upkeep.
