Very nice place they pretty much have all the the extra perks. So there sort of tiny houses. But very cool they have little beach docks very nice restaurant the food is great must eat. They have a great bar with live music all night till 10 p.m. they have a beautiful scenery, Tiki houses all over the place nice hammocks.They also have free kayaking and paddle boarding with stay. And a great staff. When you go there its just another day in paradise beautiful.

First time staying here. Liked it a lot. Family themed and guests seemed genuinely happy and content. Staff was virtually invisible. Didn’t see them a single moment after checking in the afternoon. Well manicure landscaping and the dock and beach were clean. New beds and linens. Rooms were very clean. Easy parking as you had a designated spot just for your room. No complaints. We’ve already booked again for the end of summer. Oh and we recommend tower pizza. Fantastic food for the family and affordable.

AC was not working properly. 3 nights stayed there and couldnt sleep due the weird noises coming from the AC.Place is clean and cuteOcean has a very limited space. Gets crowd very easily.Honestly if you have the budget to pay $160 up per night, you can sure find a better place to stay. Like Lime tree bay resort. It has pool, a way larger space to appreciate and enjoy the ocean, with lot of chairs, kayaks and paddles available . You can bike there. Anyway... Just an idea. This place is absolutely not worth to what they ask for.

Nice clean facility, and pet friendly! Staff was friendly and helpful. The waterfront was modest size but very pretty. The cottage we were in was perhaps too small for a family of four plus our 70lb lab. Nonetheless very nice stay.

Quaint little place right on the bay. Paddle boards and kayaks you can take out for free. Could use a few more chairs on the beach for all the guests.

I had a great time this past weekend! The service was great and my room was comfy and clean. I will say that the walls are very thin, so if you have someone noisy next to you you will notice. I was next to a family with children. The family was nice and I told them that the noise doesnt bother me (which it doesnt), so we got along fine. I only mention it because if noise is important to you then you are better off making sure that you are in one of the individual cottages that they have. I stayed in the Divers Den which has three separate private rooms. The beach and dock were great places to hang out and perfect for my friends and I to launch our kayaks from and there is a small ramp that is great for jet skis and small watercraft. I cannot wait to go back again!

It was amazing! Will definitely be the place we stay every time we come to the islands. Magnificent! The staff was friendly and the layout was gorgeous. This will be our vacation destination for many years to come.

After checking in, we were immediately impressed. While not fancy, the cottage was clean and adorable. The cottage was not big but more than adequate for our family of 3. Unfortunately the hot water heater was not working in our unit, so they quickly moved us to a different cottage so we did not have to wait on the repair. The 2nd cottage was even nicer than the first and had been remodeled. The property is well kept and convenient to many places/restaurants and the staff is friendly. The beach area is nice and the free kayaks/paddle boards were a blast! The only downsides were the beds were OK at best, and the A/C unit was a bit noisy even for a wall unit (squeaky), but it was at least cold. Overall, we had a WONDERFUL stay and look forward to visiting again.

This place was such a pleasant surprise! We booked our stay very last minute but could not have been happier. The property was adorable, clean, safe and so much fun! Staying here made our vacation absolutely perfect!

Cottage 6 was very nice and very clean. The resort is very well maintained. The beach is bit small but its shallow and makes for great snorkeling. The beach is also great for little kids. The area has decent places to eat, and a win Dixie close by for groceries.Over all this place was a great experience.

I am a frequent traveler . I recently called Sunset Cove resort to make a reservation for me and my wife . I was completely floored with the outstanding customer service i received . Casandra was the nicest sweetest person i have ever dealt with . I have never in my life have had such a nice accommodating person in the hospitality business. She went over and above her job and because of her me and my wife will be staying there from now on when we visit Key Largo . We normally go 2 times a month . thank you Casandra

Ive come 5 times in the last 2 months because of the great location. However the manager is EXTREMELY RUDE! No customer accommodation whatsoever. I had to wait longer than expected to check in and no apologies and on top I was told I couldnt use the kayaks because it was 4pm! When it was their fault my room was not ready at 4pm! I asked for an exception asn was denied it by the manager herself. Unfortunately I wont be back because of her.

Extremely relaxing, very clean, free rental of kayaks and paddle boards. Super cute cottages, has cabanas on private beach, a dock, and at night it is beautifully lit up. Breakfast is basic packaged muffins/pastries, coffee, and juice- but it’s free. Good location to many different beaches and activities and great restaurants in vicinity. I’m already planning our next trip there and hope to stay longer.

I have yet to stay here but Id love to have to whole resort which is walking distance to snooks...I could hear the live music-- Id love to get all my friends on board and have everyone rent a cottage and have a block party. The property is fun and whimsy with all kinds of fake wildlife ... zebras, dinosaurs, Panthers and bears to name a few! It looks very well maintained as well. Has a lovely dock to see the beautiful sunset

Its a must stay if visiting the upper keys. Wonderful place to really relax and enjoy the sunshine and water . Accommodations and staff make this a 5 star place.

We came across this resort by accident when leaving a really bad resort we booked nearby. They attracted us by their great pricing and fantastic online reviews. As soon as we made our first call to see if we could get in at the last minute (on a Friday night)we saw why they had great ratings. The lady on the phone and at the front desk was so accommodating, especially after we shared with her what we just went through at a nearby competitor. We stayed in a trailer that was clean, well equipped and very private. The beach area made this resort the perfect getaway, offering paddle boards, kayaks, lounge chairs, hammocks and so much more. Having a bar/restaurant at the south end of the beach made this a great experience. We never left the resort until check out time on Sunday afternoon. To top off the excellent stay and service, they gave us a coupon for a return visit that does not expire. We will be using this coupon again sometime this year. See you soon Sunset Cove.

This could be about the best 3 nights in my life. The rooms are more than ok. But everything about the location and the resort is amazing. It’s amazing that you can hire paddle boards and kayaks for free, you can have a free coffee and bun in the morning and the beautiful statues and huts all around.I can more than recommend this place:)Wish I could have stayed here for longer

Nice clean, very pleasant staff, we stayed in a cottage for 2 and we had three, and they were great about it . kind of tight even with two but we enjoyed our stay .Parking for a full size truck is tight also but if you can maneuver you to can get through over all a nice clean and enjoyable stay loved seeing the manitee

We just came back from this place and cannot enough great things about Sunset Cove! Everything was really clean, the staff was really friendly, and it has its own beach. The entire place really feels like a community, everyone was hanging out together and just having fun.

People are friendly, easy to social distance. Staff is amazing.

My family and I had a great time. We were supposed to stay in the Islander but were informed upon check-in we had to be placed somewhere else so we chose the Eagle instead of a cottage. I wasnt happy because it was smaller living quarters but we made do. Will I return? Most definitely!!! Were already considering Christmas or Spring Break 2020!!!!

This was the first time vacationing with our pets, it was much easier then we expected. The staff at Sunset Cove was the epitome of professionalism. The resort is well kept and clean. The unit we stayed in was old, but had been completely renovated not too long ago. Beds were comfortable, sheets were bright white, bathroom clean, WIFI was strong. Close to our favorite dive charter, and restaurants. We find ourselves in the keys 4-5 times a year, Sunset Cove has become our favorite.

My husband and i love this property We booked pelican room facing the beach. They have beautiful sunset and I woke up early to see the sunrise. The room is little small but cozy. Bathroom is very small especially inside the shower. I am 53 weight 125 lbs. I will definitely go back to this location one more time and try to stay in suite 7 for more space which is right next to pelican. Hope this cover enough information. Have fun!

I really liked the old 1950s vibe of this non-chain mom-and-pop resort. Although the price was expensive by my standards for what it was, It was the least expensive option in this expensive tourist area. and it was fine, very humble and simple but clean, and no bugs (that was a big one for us in this tropical place.)

Im very happy we chose to stay at Sunset Cove Beach Resort! Despite its size, its a beautiful escape!! I happened to find myself located only 10 steps to the Gulf of Mexico, 44 steps to happy hour (4-7pm every day btw) next door at Bayside grille and 213 steps to a fabulous Italian restaurant - DiGiorgos who could ask for more! We reserved the Pelican cottage. Clean and comfortable. Excellent view!!!! This is definitely a go to place in Key Largo!! We had 1 night here after a cruise and now driving back home to Maine. Thank you for a great stay!

It is a really nice Hotel. The staff onsite was super nice. All the different rooms are colorful and different. The Beach was 10 feet away and has free to use Kayaks and Stand Up Paddelboards. And the Beach has enough places to sit and lay down. You can even come with your own boat.

We had a great time at Sunset Cove Beach resort The rooms were clean and the grounds are well kept, Love the fact that they have a boat ramp for a little boat and we were able to dock it right there on the dock! The beach was nice and clean and of course the water was warm!

This place is awesome. Get here. Park. Walk to everything you need (well, you may need to drive for groceries). Ms. Macs Kitchen- right here. Conch chowder!!!Want a nice dinner? Snooks, right here. Woke up a little over served? CVS across the street. What? You love sushi? Best sushi at Maki next door. Love the Sopranos? DiGiorgios I-talian within walking.There are grills all over the property. A great view of the sunset every night! Hammocks!!!!! Dog friendly. Nuff said.

My wife and I enjoyed staying at this hotel.The room was well maintained, although a bit small (We had the smaller of the 2 units facing the bay).Price was reasonable for an off-season booking.Sunsets and sunrises were beautiful, plus the proximity to the waters edge made it that much nicer.Theres a restaurant/bar next door where we enjoyed the live band performance on Saturday night. The band stopped at 9pm, which was perfect for those who rest early (Like me).Will be booking here again next year, when we bring the kids.

We stayed at the WA the night before at $650 and it was a beautiful place but this place had so much charm and was so closed to everything. When we first arrived I thought we made a mistake because it looked like a pay by the hour motel. This will be where we stay every time we are in Key west. The rooms are super clean and they dont have any of that mildew mold smell that you find in nicer hotels on the coast. Wonderful place

It is on the gulf so can sit on the beach. Can hear music from next resort, and walk to eat.Parking spaces are tight. No view from actual room. Ice for sale only. But they def did do a nice job with landscaping and were thoughtful in the room.

My husband surprised me for a getaway here. This place was great! I was so happy. Clean rooms and our villa [Divers Den 3] had a full kitchen. Awesome tiki huts, hammocks, benches for hanging out. Kayak, bicycle, paddle boards included with room. Friendly staff on site. We had an awesome time here. We even did a late night bbq on site. Great family atmosphere or also for couples looking for a getaway. Theres lots to do within 1-7 miles of the resort. Great food and restaurants around. This place was relaxing! I will definitely visit again!

This place is excellent if you like older, but well kept and campy (but in the best way possible). You cant beat the vibe, the sunsets and the live music next door. I might just need to live here.

Deliciouse morning coffee, awesome dusk sunsets. From start to finish, our stay was just wonderful. Pet friendly, too. This is our third year back. Will be back again next year too! Walking distance restaurants offer variety as well.

Very cool retro-style place...room was a mini-cabin and just too freakin cool!Latest stay...spent more time here this year and the place and facility was as good as ever after Irma passed through....love the retro-style of the whole place!

Everything was just nice, property very nice, I had a very small cottage for 2 people, but thats my fault for booking late. No hot water for shower, I didnt complain. I enjoyed the beach, wished I stayed a little longer to enjoy the kayaks.

The grounds are fun, great restaurant next door, everything was very neat and clean and check in was smooth. Just be aware some of the cabins are extremely small.

My friends and I stayed here for a girls trip and we had a blast! We loved this place- the room was super cute and clean, the staff were awesome and the property is so kitschy and fun. As a former local this was my first stay for a local wedding, was very happy with the staff, room and of course the location! Mom and Pop feel, neat and clean and very comfortable! Highly recommended!

It was just what we needed for our quick trip through Key Largo. Great for a short stay (if selecting any of the divers dens) The cabanas/cabins looked pretty awesome.

Absolutely amazing property and super friendly staff. The private beach area was so peaceful and relaxing. The cottages were a bit older, but being able to walk out your front door directly to the beach was heavenly. We will definitely be back to stay in suite 7!!!

Sunset Cove is not fancy -- but for the money, this is the place to stay in Key Largo. Cabin 7 is located on the water, affording a 24/7 view of the water and western skyline. The cabin itself is cozy and provides a full kitchen and comfortable living area. The staff is courteous and professional, and help maintain a cute outdoor tiki breakfast hut. Several restaurants (and CVS) are within walking distance -- including one that is open for breakfast and another that is right on the water. I can afford to stay in any hotel or motel when I travel, but I love mom and pop establishments (restaurants too), and Sunset Cove is a perfect mom and pop resort.

Very nice grounds. They put a lot of work into the gardens. The beach area is clean and groomed every morning. The rooms are very clean and the staff is is very nice. For dog lovers this place is perfect. They treated my dog as nicely as me and my wife.

Small town Route 66 VIBE! This place is CLEAN, cleaner than luxury hotels, clean. We found it by accident and are glad we did! Its defines RELAXATION.Simple little cottages, most tenants are regulars that are super friendly and welcome you like family. The tikis by the bay are amazing, grills are charcoal and well maintained.Robin at the desk is friendly and informative...thanks for the referral to Bayside Grille and The Fish House.When Im done w this review, we are booking next year!LOVE, LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE !!!

Pet friendly. Great location. Cottages were cozy. Perfect for two people. You can launch small craft directly from the BEACH. Pier to sit or fish from. Tiki huts and BBQ grills all over the place, with TVs and hammocks. Moderate prices. Friendly staff. We will go again.

We stayed for 3days thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our cottage was newly renovated and super clean. There is a small beach right outside our door. We had a very peaceful stay. Well be back!

We loved the throwback feel of this hotel! The property is easy to find and has lots to offer in a quaint way ie small individual bungalows, outside gathering areas to get together with other guests, a small ocean front beach. It is super well maintained EXCEPT the mattress could be replaced. It was past its prime and if you had serious back issues you would not be able to enjoy the other amenities. Still, we would stay here again.

Nice place right on the water. They supply lounge chairs and a nice beach area to hang out on. Old rooms but the one we stayed in was nicely remodeled. Bar/restaurant right next door that was good. Had a band the night we were there that was playing a blues/jazz/rock mix, sounded really good. Wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.

I live in Key Largo and had family come in to visit. They rented a cottage here. It was great. Nice, clean, convenient location, dog friendly, great friendly staff, bbq avail. large rooms, full kitchen, blender, toaster, coffee maker, etc. etc. etc. Everything was great. I cant say enough.

Quite nice but did not rent the paddle border first day dew to poor weather.

Great Place in Key Largo for family vacations. Sun, fun and the beach paddle boards and kayaks included with room rental great fishing from pier nice cottages and trailers to stay in. we go every year this year it was about 30 of us. we had so much fun.
