Lots of wild life, mainly birds-geese, duck, cranes, frog, turtles, rabbits, and ocassional amradillo, oh yea and snakes! Signs posted ..no petting or feeding the animals. Great park and trail for bike riding, jogging, and picnics at the park.

Omg this place is amazing. I was looking for a nice place to ride to prevent having to ride on the roadway. And this park works perfectly for me.The reviews had me sold the minute I read all the positive remarks. Trust me they are were accurate. If you have a chance go check it out. I can guarantee you will not be dissatisfied.

One of my favorite places to get some good cardio in! It can be as long or as short as you want, with paved trail that includes the Campion Trail, Sam Houston Trail, and Keenan Crossing. You get beautiful scenes of tranquil water and some of the prettiest houses in Las Colinas. Bird watching is always eventful. The only terrible thing is that this area floods quite a but in the winter. The parking barricades dont stop anyone, theyre mostly just inconvenient.Walk your dog here or just enjoy good weather with your family. Its a outdoor treasure of Irving!

Excellent park to do some exercise, its always clean and there are water fountains, benches and tables. Only downside is that its located next to a shooting range so it gets loud with shoot during the weekend. Highly recommended during weekdays.

Nice park with some beautiful old trees. Clean and very well maintained except that the canoe/kayak launch was damaged during flooding last year and has never been rebuilt. Amazingly quiet considering LBJ/635 is practically right on top of it.

Campion has smooth trails perfect for inline skaters and wide enough it isnt too onerous to share with the occasional cyclist. But heres the main thing DO NOT LET ANDROID GIVE YOU DIRECTIONS!. It will put you in an endless circle.Take 635 west to MacArthur and do a u-turn. Stay on the access road, which turns hard to the south under the highways. Just as it turns into Riverside, take a left onto the 161 access road. Then stay right at the Y to go onto the 635 access road. The 635 access road forces you to turn left, back under 635, and the park is on your right, immediately on the other side of the highway.Got it?
