Beautiful park!! There was one swan and many ducks in different areas... Really peaceful and pretty! Several families playing with their children at the playground, people jogging around the park getting fit and even families posting up for a game of volleyball! Looks like a great place to picnic. I came here to walk my dogs! Really really pretty Park! I loved the bridge.

First time here the other day and it was very enjoyable. The paved walk path around the park was nice. The memorial was something cool to see. The playground seemed fun enough for a child to enjoy. Loved seeing all the birds and ducks by the pong. Parking is a little weird to me though. They should create a better and safer parking section.

I love this park. Its very fun to play here, you can bring your food, kids, and sports equipment to play here! There are benches to sit on and those picnic tables where you can eat. They also have a statue of Mahatma Gandhi as a memorial place for him. There is also a great river crossing this place and if you are lucky, then you might also see a beaver by the river!

OK park and the grass has been recently cut so therefore well maintained but the path is a pretty narrow. And there are several locations where the slope is steep and the cement has settled so the path angles towards the lake. Be careful if you have a disability or need a wheelchair as your ability to loop is likely to be restricted.

Nice city park for running, walking or just taking a stroll. The paved trail is to narrow for bicycles, and there are no bathrooms, so its a good idea to make preparations ahead of time.

It was a very pleasant day in this park. There is a playground area for children and shade with tables for people to sit as well as a long sidewalk loop around a lake that has a Gandhi memorial on the other side. I walked the loop and saw 20+ turtles and some rodent-like animals (they would jump in the water once they saw people coming close). There is also a nice bridge you cross along the way. There isnt a trail or a whole lot other things but its a nice place to take your kids, chill out or take a walk around.

Its a nice little park to enjoy on a sunny day. Good walking path although nowhere did I see any signage about the length of the path. Although I do not doubt the worthiness of Mahatma Gandhi to be memorialized I wonder where are the memorials to the many worthy Americans? There is only one, pitifully small memorial to a Great American: a Memorial Tree Grove dedicated to JFK. They didnt even spell out his name!

Pretty little neighborhood park with a playground, paved walking trails, a series of ponds, water fountains and basketball hoops. I lived for a couple of months in the area around this park, and I visited it more or less everyday. It was always pretty busy, but everyone was polite and it had a really nice vibe. There is abundant wildlife, for so small a park, with white and blue herons, turtles, nutria, ducks and geese. It has a statue of Thomas Jefferson on one end, and a statue and memorial of Mahatma Gandhi on the other. The memorials are lit at night, but the rest of the park isnt.

There were two play areas here. One for smaller children very nice with three slides. The play area for bigger children, maybe four and up, plenty of play space and slides. The playground had a tree-house theme! Super unique tree house like steps and stumps to hop on. There was a swing set and trail. Very clean, by the water and convenient portable potty close by. My children enjoyed their visit.

This place is very lively with lots of kids and residents from apartment communities surrounding it as it is is nestled in the middle of the communities. It’s popularity known as Gandhi Park as there is a statue of Mahatma Gandhi and this place is more frequented by Indians as most of them work for Verizon which is at a walking distance across the street.

Great park nearby lots of apartment complexes and homes. I love doing evening walks here. I only wish they could make the water that runs through the park be less stagnant so there will be fewer gnats or mosquitos ‐ although there arent many mosquitoes luckily and we doing get bit often so they must treat the park which is great!

It has a very big lake full of duck, fishes, turtles etc.Jefferson Park Trail is a 1.2 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Irving, Texas that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking and trail running and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

It is a nice park, with lots of space for parking, walking or even playing. There are 3 covered sitting areas, useful for picnics and other such gatherings. Vehicle parking is limited to the inner most lane of the residential road; the road isnt busy so it shouldnt be much of a hassle to find a space. Last note on the parking: Please be aware of your surroundings. There are signs in place for certain parts of the lane that are unavailable for occupation. There is a paved trail for walking, jogging and/or running; as well as multiple benches for resting. For the kiddos, there are a basketball goal, two playgrounds, a swing set and a bench swing.

Love this park, such a nice trail to walk, pets are welcome but not at the actual playground. Even with the signs, people still take their pets onto the playground area despite the fact that some children are afraid...if they ignore that sign you know they dont pick up after. The park is still fairly clean except for a few very rude and inconsiderate pet people who make it bad for responsible pet owners. The playground is covered too, thats a huge plus. This park is great to walk around and spend time taking a peaceful breath. The park has children playarea as well. It has a broad area that surrounds a big water pond. Walking paths have been nicely built. One thing I always complain about Texas parks is they lack restrooms. This park has a same problem. Even though there is a temporary toilet near children playarea, I would suggest the city and park management to build a permanent restroom that would be very helpful in many regards. The place where the Gandhi statue has been built would have been better if it had restroom near by. I am not opposed to the statue but the folks who pressed for Gandhi statue should have focused more on building the restrooms. Coz that would make sense for thousands of folks like me who would be looking for that kind of facilities in a public park. Also, the park lacks big and medium-sized trees. As an environment-lover, I would love to see a number of big and medium-sized trees that could be the valuable assets mostly during hard, rough and hot summer time. The city and park management and a bunch of companies or organizations who wanna work on creating pleasant environment and extending green area should focus on that part. The park is not so pleasant because it lacks big and medium-sized trees. Its kind of a barren land that needs attention of the city and park management. We can really turn this area into a more green and pleasant place with our combined effort.
