This isnt a conventional park; its a historic park. Today, (8/12/2020) the historic buildings are closed. The grounds are beautiful, there are some picnic tables, a couple of grills and even a horseshoe pitch.

It was fun to walk around and see the pretty flower.

Irvine Ranch Historic Park is a very rare place that brought back 150 + years history of Irvine and preserving the legacy we can appreciate and learn today. It is one of the most significant areas in Orange conty, it is so amazing to see the area evolving from one of the greatest cultivated farms in the world (1910 Los Angeles Time) to be the one of most dynamic, safe and creativity modern city in the US.

Really interesting little area that most people dont know about, but it was the headquarters for the massive Irvine Ranch once upon a time. The Irvine family home is now a branch library, and there are also a bunkhouse, restored foremans homes, and other buildings from the early days of the Irvine operation.My dad lived on the Irvine Ranch when he was very young, as his dad was a foreman. He only recalled the name of the street where they lived, and lo and behold, thats the street where this museum is located. We assume he lived in one of the houses there, but I guess theres no real way to know. Sadly, my dad passed away last year before I was able to take him there to see it.Dont miss this little slice of OC history. You can walk around the entire place in less than an hour, and its all free.

Omygosh. Its great to hear about the past here and maybe just a little bit sad. I do love the old buildings. The layout and all of the native trees. Its just a little sad to see the growth around it

Nice place for kids and a nice library..

Irvine is over built-in over sprawl but in the middle of it all is this acre or two of throwback to what it must have all been a ranch. It is a nice Retreat from the traffic and there is a small Orange Grove and some avocados. All in all and unexpected Sylvan moment in the traffic confusion that has become Southern California

A piece of historical knowledge is always good to gain. They have yearly events where multiple museums get together to teach you about our history

Stopped by the library, and strolled around to look at the interpretive signs. Pleasant, quick bit of local history.

Irvine the way it was in 1978 when we first came to The (South) OC and fell in love with the natural beauty and rural character. Shocking in a way to see how much it has changed since then.

Very peaceful with tons of history. Great spot to sit and have lunch soaking it all in.

I am bus driver for transportation service, I picked up a customer working for Irvine Ranch Historical office. I was told all homes, a barn, and serveral citrus and a vocado trees remain on the land to a century ago.
