I did a walk-through tour and was highly impressed. The staff and visitors are generally nice and highly entertained. Kids are well supervised and there is a lot going on.Good place for church events or birthdays.
I always have such a fun time with my little one. I feel like its a safe and clean environment which is a good feeling when little fingers are touching everything!
Nice little place for the kids to spend hours playing all different kinds of roles. Even if I prefer close by Adventure land with our 2.5 year old this is a great alternative when the weather is bad.
Nice clean place great for kids who like to run around and try different things
Nice place.. Children under 6 can really enjoy this place.. They have something to learn from here.. It is a neatly organized play area..Kids safety is the most ensured.. Staffs were very responsive (though, not much friendly)The entrance was very magnificent and we started expecting more.. But stuffs in there are very minimal.. My kiddo covered it up in 1 and half hours.. She got bored after that..Near and clean.. Worthy enough for one time visit.. A restaurant area would be a nice add on..
Great place!! Our son loves going here. Great cleaning procedures in place!
If you want to come for a photoshoot, I would recommend coming at a later time. I was here at 9pm and tons of people were everywhere. It was hard to get a photo with no photo bombers. Now that selfie sticks are invented,. youll see a lot of that as well. I AM GUILTY!
Probably the most interactive place I have been able to take my kids for not a whole lot of money. They had a great time. We will definitely becoming back soon. We went on a rainy day where there was two school field trips and it still was big enough to let feel to over crowded. The only issue was the parking. It is limited but we went on a very busy day.
Our first time here was mostly a success.Total cost for 2 adults and 1 child was $46. The staff at check in was friendly but the staff at the pretend medical offices and the pretend restaurant were nowhere to be found. We hope that there will be more people who guide the children in how to interact with the exhibition and how to clean up next time?
Had a wonderful time with my family, great fun!
My son has been going since he was 6m old, to baby steps, we loved so much that we became members. Recommend for anyone with young kids!
This place is great for young kids. There are a ton of different activities laid out over a tiny mock-city tabbing from to grocery shopping, to an art studio, to a restaurant kitchen. Two things to know: 1) parking is not great (they have a small front lot that expands to included some adjacent business parking bit ONLY on weekends and their satellite lot that is pretty far back in the business complex) and 2) admission is half off at the end of the day (~last hour, after 4pm) so a late visit is still a reasonable idea (but this also seems to be a popular time to visit). Other details: they have a sort of play economy wherein the kids work at each business they visit (collecting stamps) and get paid faux money when they finish. It would be great if they had some obvious way for the kids to learn about spending/saving that money but I didnt see anything like that. Other highlights include a play farm, construction site, water play area, library with books to read, a system of sidewalks and streets with little push cars and working lights/crosswalk, and some other interesting hands on learning activities. There is also a gift shop and a small Cafe with real snacks (in addition to the play Cafe).
Excellent place learning about jobs and occupations. Also we can bring babies and infants. They have the room only for infants and toddlers.
I want to compliment this place About the restroom stool for children. I could see that they considered the children as well.Lots of children’s places we visit all over the world, they don’t have stool or low sink for children. so, children and parents have to both struggle. So I am giving 4 stars for this place because of this matter.
Pretend City offers so much as an educational experience. My niece enjoyed the exhibits and we had a blast playing with her. The facility is clean and well staff. The price is less than the cost of a movie ticket which is only good for an hour and a half!! Its a great place to go and you support a good cause.
Nice museum for young kids. They also have rooms for birthday parties. The volunteering opportunities exist. The location is convenient but in a business district.
Pretend city is all about educational fun while playing indoors. There are many events throughout the year that keep us returning and you can also buy a membership and since its a non-profit you can use it as a write off at tax time. With all sorts of different real-life Hands-On experiences, kids of all ages get to participate in a day-to-day active fun challenging themselves with grocery store shopping, dress up play, post office, pretend restaurant, baby chicks, and so much more. We love Pretend City!
Not only is this place very inexpensive, it kept us and our children entertained. We were there for almost 4 hours and didnt realize it! We had a blast and would love to come back if we get back to the area
Perfect place for young ones with plenty to do...and learnPrice is Right as well
My son loves playing here! He would stay all day if we let him.The best way to go is to get the membership because members get access an hour before everyone else, which makes it much less crowded.
This place seems like a childs dream come true. There are so many different sections of a town for kids to play pretend in.The building is pretty huge but feels a lot smaller once it is filled with hundreds of adults and kids. It was very easy to lose sight of your own child if they are the type to be distracted and walk off at a moments notice. The employees that work the play area are friendly and engaging (when they feel appropriate). I feel for them a little - it seems the majority of the time theyre returning props to their correct area I will definitely be purchasing a membership here. I hope to use it as a place for my two toddlers to express themselves and grow in a way they cant do just at home.
Pretend city is fantastic! Our whole family had a great time. Highly recommended for the young ones. It gives them a chance to act like adults and learn real life things in a scaled-down size.
Unique experience for children under the age of 9. Membership is tax deductible if you plan on going more than a few times a year. This is very worth it for the ability to arrive one hour before general admission. By 11am, it can get very crowded.
Great place for kids to spent the whole day. They have snacks, drinks, but no child toilet. And maybe because if summer, it was a bit cold inside.Staff here are all very nice.
Took a small 2 yr old and her parents visiting from another country along with my daughter and my 16month old grandson a few weeks ago.We went during the week so there was a school field trip there as well. My grandson loved it there especially all the different “cozy cars” just their size! It’s an excellent educational experience where children can actually role pay in a city environment from the beach, construction site, to a farm, theater, UPS and even a Trader Joe’s. Interact with your little ones to develop language skills as they play.Pros: 1. Excellent experience to foster language and social skill development inviting parents to be actively engaged with their child while visiting Pretend City. It’s not Daycare!2. staff is present in some areas to pick up and straighten up items left about. Unfortunately many older children are not taught to pick up after playing. Good use of staff3. Hand sanitizers on walls so keep wiping kids hands as the areas are probably only sanitized at the end of the day.4. Sitting areas available for parents nearby5. Well thought out experience for all ages under 10 even toddlers.Cons: 1) Is expensive ($30 for 2 people) especially if you don’t live near by to take advantage of membership or families & friends in a group2). Suggest more staff to monitor non staffed areas especially the 0-2 area! Again there are parents who do not monitor their kids!3). Can get very crowded with excited older kids running around so be aware if bringing little onesI would definitely recommend this place. This coming from a former teacher/ district administrator.
It was WONDERFUL!! This kiddos really liked it especially the 3 yr old. He loved the cars and the water table the most! Well be back. I use to bring my now 14yr old when he was 3.
Pretend city is family fun for parents who are not glued to their phones. This interactive location allows children 2 to 12 run, imagine, and learn. From the Trader Joes inspired grocery store, farm, construction site, house, beach, and a full restaurant Pretend City has areas for your little one to come alive and be who they want to be. My son loves role playing dad as chef in the restaurant and emulating mom as chief story teller in the library. Get an annual membership for added savings
My sons favorite place in the universe
Really great but quite expensive if you take two children and two adults. They have annual memberships that give you unlimited entry for only about the cost of 5 visits, so thats well worth it.Inside, small kids can enjoy some things to climb on and explore and larger kids can try out a variety of jobs, activities, and dress up outfits in the pretend city.
Awesome place... My son really enjoyed a lot during all day. Recommend to spend a thousand hours with the kids... :-)
Pretend city is so cute, I wish I was a child. It has a grocery store, bookstore, bank, garden, equipment for building things. There is a theater stage, kitchen, restaurant, beach, cars, coloring station, house, eating area, big chair to take a picture with and a fountain. I will definitely be bringing my child back here more often. It is an awesome place.
My grandson had Sooo Much Fun!
My neices love coming to pretend city. Theres a lot of fun jobs for them to do and a lot of activities for them to stay busy with. When its busy it can get very crowded and a little hectic with kids running around everywhere. Just come with the right energy and a playful spirit and its a lot of fun playing and pretending with the kids.
Great place for the littles! Only thing it needed was an eatery. They have vending machines with a surprisingly large assortment, but I prefer made to order. Other than that its amazing!
Awesome place where toddlers are free to explore and pretend, a great experience for them! We went during the week and it was not crowded at all.
Awesome place for interactive play with the kids. Our 19 month old did great running around doing all the activities.
Great place for kids 2-10, however there are kids older in daily attendance. They do have specific areas for 0-2 year olds, but its not enforced. My 2 year old grandson loved every minute.
This place was pretty fun. My kids had a great time and enjoyed running around to all the different areas trying things out.
May be better for older children, one small spot for 2 and under, no shoes allowed, was overrun with older kids and everyone had shoes on. Wish they would attempt to enforce their own rules. Beyond that lots of broken buttons/screens and was generally dirty. Not worth the entrance fee
This place is great. We spent several hours here and my 4yo had a blast. All of the different activities were very fun for him. Several stations earn a stamp and the stamp card earns pretend money when it is filled in and exchanged.Among many activities, there is water play, a sand box, an art room, firefighter and police area, a stage with instruments and dress up for performing, a grocery, a farm with real chicks, a construction zone, a mechanic shop, vehicles and a boat to play on, an area for 2yo and younger, a restaurant, and a dentist and doctor office. Each area has the relevant play tools and dress up supplies. There is also a music room with real instruments and a stage, with music- I think they call it the instrument petting zoo.The people who work there are friendly and helpful, and are constantly keeping everything clean and close to where it belongs. There is a real cafeteria to eat food. There are a few vending machines, but if you plan on staying a while, its a good idea to bring some food, there are tables and chairs for eating.
Great place to come and check out for the younger kids.Staff - Employees here are very nice to the kids, they also make sure they keep other kids playing fair, and do a great job in the arts and crafts room.Prices - Avg pricing for admission but they offer a lot of different activities.Venue - Place is kept clean, lots of play areas, they even have performances in the back music room.Parking - Got here early so wasnt bad but can see it getting busy.Overall great experience and will be back.
My boys got the biggest kick out of pretend city being able to work at the store and go to the bank and earn money. We cant wait to go again.
Great rainy day fun.
Great place for exploring and learning
Came with my 6yr old daughter and niece and they had such a fun time. Really cute place to bring the family and kill 2-3 hrs. Theres a lot of people and was a bit crowded, but the kids had a blast.
Really fun place for kids... good learning experience
Its an awesome place to take your children or grandchildren. A bright, happy and fun wonderworld. So many different ways to teach children so many things. Playing, sharing, interaction, imagination, role playing and much more. Your child can be a police officer, firefighter or a farmer harvesting his crops. Tons of activities that are fun and educational. You can bring your own lunch or snacks or purchase something from the many vending machines which provide many healthy choices. I would highly recommend a membership.
I loved coming here with my family for the first time.a great place for kids to have a big imagination
I love it my son and hes Friends were all so happy they couldnt stay in one place for too Long... I will love to come back soon
Its good place to play for 3years but i think adult entrance fee isn’t fair.its the same as kids.most of parents are just watching their kids for safe. we don’t enjoy anything there.right?
Great for kids. Kinda chaotic but in a good way. Plenty of employees.
Great place for little kids. Getting a lityle too crowded during weekend.
Fun experience and basically a huge playground with educational components for kids. There could be some better maintenance of some of the pieces as well as replenishing of activity materials such as that of the floating boat construction area. However the art area had great staff who were constantly monitoring arts and craft material availability throughout the kids activity.
Great place, lotsa bathrooms and a real Cafe for us adults, best watch em while near the sailing area, it gets really outta hand with all the water splashing about, the farming and Beach area plus the pretend theatre is a hoot.
Loved this took care of both of my kids attention I have a nine year old and two year old..awesome place I highly recommend it
Nice place, lots of things for the kids to play with. Set up like a little town for kids to explore real world scenarios. They can play as a librarian, grocery store clerk, dentist, doctor, fisherman, firefighter, and so much more. My daughter loved it. Bit pricey though, as a stay home mom I wouldnt be able to take her often. But look forward to the next visit, I know shell enjoy herself.
My grandson said it was better then Disneyland. We cant wait to go again.
This is a great place to bring little ones! Very fun and interactive. My only complaint is that it gets too crowded, not really something they can control and Im sure its great for business! But of they were able to limit the number of guests in and maybe have time slots? 2-4 hours of play so every kid gets a chance to experience each exhibit.Older kids can be a little more assertive and my 2.5 year old doesnt get to use everything when its busy
This is a good place for kids 3+ who really like dressing up and playing house, etc. it’s a bit small, but packed with a few stations of stuff for kids to do. Shopping, library, music, water play, sand play, doctors, dentist, fire station, police, house, cars you push kids around in. I’d go during the week when maybe it’s less crowded than the weekend. The price was ‘ok but charged for a 2yr old .. They have vending machines with snacks for kids. The staff seemed helpful too.
Awesome place to take your young children. The arts and craft were awesome. If you love it, get a membership. Its 150$ right now but youll want to use it over and over again
Bring your own lunch, or buy a sandwich or lunchable from the vending machines. The new year celebration was fun for my 5 year old girl. It is a bit pricey, but they have staff and volunteers in every room to assist and reset exhibits. There is a lot of work to do for the staff, so the cost is understandable.
Staff was on point and always cleaning and organizing. Kids had a great time.
Its amazing.
Wide variety of things for young children. Took a 3-year old boy and he really enjoyed it. Very imaginative. Admission fee but free parking. Some snacks available on site. Many play stations are both fun and educational.
First time doing a birthday party here! Very fun for the kids!
Took two year old grandson. It was pretty crowded, so it took him a little while to get going. He had a great time.
My grandchildren ages 4 and 2 loved it. Varied activities to stimulate physical and intellectual growth. Can bring food in for snacks or meals. Vending machines and tables also available for snacking.
First time here. They charge $12.50 regardless of the kids age over 12 months..we paid $37 for mostly pretend toys and not much educational toys. And parking is really limited, so expect to wait 5-10min to find a parking. Not sure if we will be back soon, until our 2nd is born.I understand its a NON PROFIT but definitely not reasonable charges for children. Also the toys and the environment smelled like Clorox...which wasnt pleasant at all!
Great place to take the kids! It is an entire city insode of a warehouse; from the beach to the dental office they can play and dress up in a variety of professions. They also have a price deal for those on EBT. Definitely a suggested place to check out.
Good for small kids
Great place to explore with the grandkids. They never get tired of all the fun things to do here. I just wish they had more than 2 shopping carts for the many children playing in the pretend Trader Joes grocery store.
Such a fun experience. My daughter loved every second!
Such a fun place for kiddos to play! We were gifted a membership and finally used it for the first time. My daughter had a blast!
Kids love this place and I get exhausted when I go. Great place for kids with autism or special needs. They highlight different cultures, have autism day, and activities. The yearly pass will save you loads of money and you can have your kids therapist on the yearly pass as a free addition and have lessons there. They have better than the typical vending machines in the back with coffee, ice cream, etc.
A fantastic place for toddlers to play and learn. After our first visit we became annual members.
Nice place to take your kids here on weekends.Helpful and nice staff.
My son who is 2 1/2 spent 3 hours here and even then, he didnt want to go. Our new place I think! ;)
Great place for the kids must check out take your hand sanitizer thou lol
The reason for my 2 stars is to bring the rating down to reality. This place is O.K. I dont know what the hype is. Pretend play isnt some novel idea and you dont necessarily need to be at a specific place to have an imagination. Yeah the idea is totally cool. The buildings are miniature and they can play with water and other hands on activities. However, they can do all this at home, school, and should be doing so! Imagination is innate in the minds of children so I dont see the need to pay $13 for my child, especially an additional $13 for myself. Not worth it. My 4 year old never found this place that fun and she has a pretty wild imagination. Maybe Im doing a better job with pretend play at home. Not coming back.
Great place for kids 9 and under!
Great place to go with little kids. (7yr + 4.5yr)
Great day with friends, keeps the little one entertained
Absolutely love Pretend City!! Our band played here to open for their Kidstock Music Festival and it was just a great experience top to bottom. Staff was very friendly and helpful tome and the team and made us feel so welcome. Its a great place to send your kids to let their creativity out and just have fun!
Great place for kids!! Loved being there for our grandsons birthday party!
It was something different for kids to do that they had fun. Little pricey though
If you want to make the most out of your time at NightLife, save the Planetarium show for a day trip. We always start at the Rainforest which takes us into the Aquarium.
There is just so much to do here for the kids. Its best to get a gang of them together and hang out for several hours. The adults will probably get tired before the kids do.
Pretend City museum is a fun, loving places for kids. My kid loved this place a lot; though parents may get bore while chasing kids from one place to other. Children over the age of 5yrs, may not feel that much excited; but upto 5 its an awesome place.Children love all the places within museum. Before going check the Pretend city website for any upcoming event; and you would like to choose that day
My 3 year old loved it so much, it was difficult to leave
Such a fun place to see your childs imagination in action. Great for preschoolers and school aged kids. It can get a little crowded, but still very manageable even with a crowd. If you have a membership the early member hour is awesome, allowing you to start playing an hour before the museum opens. My kids love spending most of their time in the pretend Trader Joes and the artist studio. We especially love the rotating exhibits. Currently, its the music room which is so awesome, allowing kids to touch and play with so many different instruments. We love Pretend City!
I really love this place and so do my kids. We try to visit often. Its by far the best indoor play place for young kids that I have been too. We held both our kids first birthdays there. The event staff is amazing.
My toddler daughter had soo much fun!
Great place for kids to dive into a world of imagination. I quite enjoy going myself.
I went here when I was 3 years old, now 10 years later I still have many memories from this place and every time I look back to my fondest childhood memories, pretend city is all I can really remember. I 100% recommend!!
My granddaughter loves to play here, it is a challenge to get her to leave! And on every second Friday they have the good to go program.
