Came to Indianapolis from Edmonton Alberta on a business trip. Figured I must stop by to see the Speedway. Unfortunately my visit was during the off season, so there were no races. You dont really realize the size of the track until youre standing in the middle of it. Museum was cool. Gift shop was ridiculously overpriced, but that didnt stop me from picking up a couple souvenirs.

The Speedway has been a wonderful old friend since the mid-70s. We persuaded my Mom that coming to the track in 1976 for time trials would be an excellent Mothers Day outing. 2020, my brother and I sat in the white stoned parking lot across from the short shoot and watched the race...still a good time. The double flyover by the Air Force Thunderbirds always inspires...thank you for your service. Now Passing the Passion to my adopted daughter who is now a 2 race veteran...waiting for #3 in 2021. Thank you Mr. Penske for your love and service to The Greatest Spectacle in Racing. God Bless America.

Visiting from out of town with very little exposure to racing in general, I really enjoyed our visit. I loved the tour of the track, hearing about the traditions of the Indy 500, and exploring the museum with all of the history it contains. If you enjoy auto racing, or are interested in learning about something new, this would be a fun activity. We were there for two hours (including the track tour) and it felt like a good amount of time for someone who knows so little about racing. If you have more knowledge going in, you could easily spend way more time in the museum. There’s so much to read and learn.4 stars because for me, it was fun, but not an absolute must.

Really nice night in a very nice facility for a racetrack lights at the Brickyard was amazing on January 5th. I just hope next year I can be there when its snowing and a lot darker. Besides the lights at the brickyard in the summertime the racetrack is amazing while you see all the people walking and driving their motorcycles and music playing its a nice time to bring your friends or family to enjoy your moments. I will say it does get overcrowded and what I mean by that is a lot of people do come there to walk and drink and at times I can get pretty hectic but other than that if you just mind your own and enjoy your time then you have no problems there.

Its Indianapolis Motor Speedway for crying out loud! Whats not to like. The only issue I ran into is all of the rules they have that are not posted. I was talked to several times about being in areas I was not allowed, even though there was no indication the areas were closed. For the most part I believe they were areas normally open to the public, but were closed for this event. There were no ropes, signs, tape, or even signs stating these areas were not open. Security was friendly about it but its still embarrassing to be that guy who is flouting the rules, even if you are unaware they exist. These talking toos made me uncomfortable and didnt really make me feel welcome. Mind you, I was a racer and during the races in the paddock itself, all was well. Their protocols were well communicated. When I wasnt racing and not in the paddock it was a different story. Its still Indianapolis though and a wonderful and historic race track.

I recommend taking the VIP Tour. The tour was amazing and Isaac our tour guide was very knowledgeable. The whole staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. On the VIP tour you get the track tour, stop at the bricks and able to get out, to the media center, to the 10th floor of the Pagoda, through the infield, through the garage area, and all the time that you need in the museum. A must for a racing fan and also a historical buff. I just wish that Id asked or a stop so I could have gotten my picture made with the Gasoline Alley sign.

A great facility that I was lucky enough to tour this Fall. The most fascinating thing is the City within the infield - all the activity, buildings, etc., is amazing. We were able to tour the pit lane, luxury boxes, and victory lane - all of which was amazing. It was also great to see the winner of the BC39 midget race displayed next to the Indy 500 and Brickyard 400 winners - that was really special to a dirt track racing fan.

We attended the Harvest GP Race 2 on Saturday. We arrived early and enjoyed watching qualifications for both IndyCar and GT along with a TC America race. The track and stands looked amazing. I would have given the whole experience a 5 but there were a few disappointments. Although there were COVID-19 protocols in place they were not enforced. One problem could have been solved if tickets were checked when entering the stands. We had a group of 6 without masks sit in the row in front of us with the Do Not Use sticker. There was even an unmasked man who was smoking and pulling off seat stickers for souvenirs. Another inconvenience were the broken latches in several of the womens restrooms because they were installed incorrectly. I would still not hesitate to return to this marvelous facility.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is a versatile, dynamic, thrilling gem of a facility in Speedway, Indiana. Ive been witness to some sort of racing action there since 1992. This past weekend, I saw a demonstration of off the ground racing that, once I figured out the ground rules (no pun intended), was as exciting as the good old time trials for the 500. Watching a race, or several races from the grandstands of this iconic tribute to speed and technology should be on any race fans bucket list. The website is easy to navigate and the guest relation people have always been friendly and helpful.

The Indy 500 is truly the greatest spectacle in racing. Nothing beats the sound of cars driving by at over 200 mph. The Speedway can feel cramped at times, but what do you expect when the are an estimated 235,000 seats plus space in the infield where, on race day, there could be over 400,000 total fans in attendance. The bathroom facilities in some areas are a little outdated. The race day traditions and the race experience itself make up for any flaws that the track may have.
