My family and I have been going there for a very long time. We always had a nice wonderful experience open environment and friendly customer service. They recently upholstered chairs make them much more comfortable than they were previously. We visit before and we visit for many years to come.

Nice theater! It was clean, nicely staffed w/ friendly approachable employees. The seats were very comfortable. Were very BLESSED to have this high quality type of theater in our community, so lets patronage it & keep it in the fabrics of our society! Ill definitely be back AGAIN.

They have done an amazing remodel. Super clean, staff was very pleasant. Friendly management. And those seats! Lets talk about these seats. Brand new recliners with lower back warmers. Not gonna lie I kept mine on the entire time. I will absolutely return many times and make this my go to theater. Better prices then the local competition and surrounding areas. CINEMARK hit this one out of the park!

Very comfortable since remodeled with new recliners & reserved seating. Though not as bargain priced as before, still priced a bit below other major movie chains. Saw a matinee today for $6 - all in all a good experience. Will definitely return.

I used to love this theater when it was a discount one and was apprehensive when they switched over to a first run type. Let me tell you: give Cinemark a chance! The seats are comfortable and has a built in heated option if you get cold, they are spaced nicely and not cramped, and the price is very competitive with other theaters. The best part was the outstanding customer service! Everyone was really polite and we had a problem with a broken seat that Dale got right on resolving. He went out of his way to make sure it was a good experience. One of the other staff ran ahead of me to get the door when my hands were full without me asking...THAT is the kind of service you never see in a theater. I will definitely go back and choose this theater before others in the area. Give it a chance...youll be happy you did!

Seats are great. Movie screen was great. Sound quality was great. Feet didnt stick to the floor. Will come back here for our next movie viewing experience.

I was a loyal customer and continually brought friends and family with me to this location. I always made sure to tell my friends and coworkers about how great Cinemark was. Now that you changed to be like every other movie theater out there you have lost me. I dont need to waste my time going to your theater with reclining leather heated seats. Ill just go to AMC down the street from me that has reclining leather heated seats. You should have remodeled and kept your market of customer base instead of being like all the other theaters and have the same movies. I will make sure to go to any other theater besides yours now.

Never been in a more comfortable chair at a movie theatre. They are power and fully recline while still providing enough room for people to walk in front of you if they need to leave. Plus theyre heated and I think cooling as well. I dont remember them ever showing the newest released movies, but they do now and still for the lowest price Ive ever seen. I moved away a year ago and stopped in while I needed to kill a few hours. I wish there was something close to as comfortable and as competitively priced as this place is where I live now.

Why would they change to be a regular movie theatre. There is one just a few blocks away that is just fine for people who want to spend an arm and a leg but this was great to be able to go see movies no longer in theaters for $1. I would never tell the artcraft to become a regular theatre because they aren’t!!! It’s a different customer base and sadly I think Cinemark has lost a lot of their customer base

Used to love this theater due to cheap prices. Now price is high like everywhere else. Awesome new reclining seats and you can buy beer here now if you like.

Very nice renovations just wish it would have been the dollar fifty movies like it use to be. But pizza hut pizzas good popcorn great seats .

I am a home-based case worker for a DCS provider, and much of my job involves supervised visitation of at-risk families. Most of my clients live below the poverty line, so when they are looking for things to do together in the community during their visits, discount theaters have always been near the top of the list. Sadly, Movies 8 is no longer a discount theater, but I took a family to the newly opened/remodeled Cinemark this week and found out the Matinee is only $6.00 before noon. I also spoke to the manager who allowed me to supervise the family while they watched their movie together without having to purchase a ticket for myself (I just had to show her my provider badge). This kind of compassionate service to low-income patrons and community civil servants is one of the things that made Movies 8 great, and I am glad Cinemark is still keeping that spirit alive in some small way. As mentioned in the other comments, the seating is very comfortable, and the service is outstanding.

Checked it out today for the first time since the remodel...it really is nice and clean and the seats are comfortable and cozy since they are heated. The only thing I didnt like was that we could hear the movie playing in the theater next to us through our whole movie!

I am so disappointed that they quit showing second run movies! My daughter and I loved movie nights here, and I loved the prices. There’s plenty of first run overrated and overpriced movie theatres in Greenwood that I wouldn’t ever think to even give this one a chance.

Staff very friendly. Nice place to bring the kids. Very nice quality movies. I love the fact we are able to watch the movies at a fair price and also get to get concession snacks without putting a dent in my bank account. Something fun to so without high prices.

Nice leather reclining seats and they even heat! Not as cheap as the dollar movies were but worth the money. We enjoyed it.

It has a smell that can soak into your cloths from the seats. The seats also seemed damp that i first sat in thankfully they do not have reserved seating, and we were able to move. I had to jump after the movie to get my shoes unstuck from the flooring. Concessions were great pleasant employees. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Its the seats and floors that need much attention.

I dont like the switch to a first run theater. there is a first run theater just down the road. I went to a movie there once. it qas very nice. but since then always opted for Movies 8. I guess this way Greenwood Corner could make more money. I wonder if the owners where faced with a choice, become first run or close down. Maybe Movies 8 just isnt very popular.

So disappointed that the new updates simply means that this movie theater is the same as all the others. Sure the seats have been upgraded and it looks nicer, but families - including ours - went to this specific location because it was the only theater that made it affordable for the whole family to go. We were able to take our kids and even their friends to go to the movies because it was affordable. On top of purchasing tickets, we’d buy drinks, popcorn and candy because the price of the tickets to the movie weren’t outrageous. Again, it was affordable.There are so many theaters around the Indianapolis location that has the reclining, reserved seating. There was something so special and unique about this theater when the prices were affordable. We live about twenty minutes away and we have four movie theaters much closer to us, but we always went to the Greenwood location. We’d go for the summer movie program as well as the Christmas movies. It didn’t bother us that the new movies weren’t being played - we went as a family and had a great time.My son had a basketball game last night and the conversation started about going to the movies. This specific theater was mentioned. It’s crazy how many families went to this location for the reason that tickets were affordable. If my family goes we will be spending over $50 per movie and then add on popcorn and a drink... yikes! We’d go see a movie or two each month and buy food/drinks there... not any more.You lost customers over this change. What a shame!

Great deal as always! New seats so its nice to see they put some money in the place. Not sure how they can afford to do that when they charge such low prices. In many ways its just the same as it was in my childhood. Now I take my kids there! I hope theyre always around for good family fun!

Just went and seen sonic. Great movie. The theater is so much cleaner than it used to be. The arcade area is way smaller but who goes to the movies to play games? The new seats are so comfy and have an option for heating your buns(and Im not talking hotdogs). Large slushie is reasonably priced at about 6.50 sobits about on par, if not cheaper than other theaters in the area. Didnt try much of anything else on the menu but did notice they have alcoholic drinks now which will have to be tried on the next visit (fingers crossed for a rum and coke option).

Always a pleasant experience. A good cheap way to go to the movies, no new releases but theyre recent enough. Usually $2.50 but its $2 on Tuesday which is discount day. More of a discount if youre a senior, student or military.

This is a comfy place for budget minded cinema goers. You get to watch movies that have been out for awhile but only pay $2.50! On Tuesday, you pay $2! It is great! The cinemas are clean and cozy. I love this place.

Being from Plano Texas where Cinemark is based this “shameful” renovation is no we’re near Cinemark standards. Time for Cinemark to stop kidding themselves and open a new theater. Fishers Indiana would be a great start.

One of my favorite cheap movie theaters! The seats aren’t the most comfortable but the theater is normally very clean. I don’t purchase any concessions, just pay $3.50 for my ticket and enjoy the show!

I am so disappointed that Movies 8 is no longer a discount theater. I feel that they have made a huge mistake in making this theater a first run theater. Their prices are about the same as other area theaters but they dont offer as big of discounts as AMC. Its hard to neat AMCs Tuesday discount day at $5 for the movie and $5 for the popcorn and soda snack pack. My husband and I are on a fixed income and we love watching movies. We used to go to Movies 8 many times a week with their new pricing we wont be able to go to the movies near as often. They have made these changes but they arent near as nice as nice as Regal and AMC. I would have much rather had them stay a discount theater. I dont think we will be going back very often at all. I am so sad.

The staff here is AWESOME!!! Everyone here is really friendly and helpful. The prices for the movies are fantastic!! The concessions are a bit pricey, but I guess the have to make their money somewhere. They have a good variety of movies, and you could probably do a double feature for the price of one regular movie! #winning

I absolutely loved it! This one of the cheapest movie theaters I have been to. Staff is friendly and does a great job of keeping the place clean. Food and drinks are cheap too compared to other theaters. I would recommend this theater to anyone

I heard a few weeks ago that your theater has opted for the upgrade of seating and film presentation. I must say that i was saddened by this news as the older seating was the draw for me. Unfortunately the large reclining seats are made for large or tall people. If your short and have back and leg issues the new recliners hits in the wrong place of the lower back and when watching films without breaks that last 2 plus hrs these days there is no confortable position after about 45 mins in. I would have paid more just for the confort of older seats. Many of my family and friends have had this discussion about recliners installed in other theaters and they stated the same. The only exception was my son in law that is 6 4 and he said they fit him so not a issue with him. Guess i can go to AMC 17 since it appears that i am going to be uncomfortable anyway and it is closer to home. I would have been ecstatic to have heard the old seats had been refurbished instead of replaced with the back breakers. I would have given you a five star and all the recommendation that i use to give about your business. I still wish your business the best. Thank you for being my theatre of choice while it lasted.

There is a theater just a few blocks away that has first run showings. completely eliminateing 2nd run showings is such a bummer. It was nice to see films on the big screen sometimes at a cheeper rate if you didnt mind waiting. im not sure we will go back. we never went to the other theater down which is near by and im guessing our theater visits will go back down to what they where before we lived near a second chance theater which was about once a year. No big loss for anyone. But I still feel disappointed.

Although I came prepared with a little throw blanket to keep me warm. This is for Senate it was actually warm enough to enjoy movie without shivering. Thank you so much

The only good part of our visit here was the movie. This place is FILTHY!! ALL the floors are sticky. The boosters for small kids are disgusting. There was even a huge bin full of trash just sitting next to the ladies bathroom. It was there when we arrived and still there when we left, 2 hours later. The staff isnt friendly at all and the guy taking our tickets acted like it was a task to hold his hand out. The only reason I go here is its a cheap night out with 3 kids. Bring your own snacks unless you want to pay an arm and leg for popcorn. Wish theyd just scrub the place down!

Inexpensive date night. This was the only theater still playing a movie I didnt have a chance to see when it first came out. I used to go to this theater all the time as a teenager. The best popcorn and snacks.

The heated seats are nice. I think the screens are the same as before the remodel.

Easy parking. Low priced movies. High priced concessions. Clean restrooms.

The theater is very nice. It has low prices, but the movies come out at a later date. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is trying to see a important, popular movie. The consessions are nice and if you are early for your movie you can play games at the arcade (if you pay, of course). I would reccomend this theater for children who have the patience to wait. Overall, I would give this theater 4 out of 5 .

Updates were great. It was a little annoying hearing the movie playing in the theater next to us though.

No frills movie theater, but the tickets are cheap and we love that they show Bollywood movies too!

I always feel the need to shower when I leave because the seats feel so grimey...but other than that...

I don’t understand why this place is not PACKED. Great movies for $2.50 popcorn and drinks are good. I live in Carmel so only come when I have to be on the south side for other reasons, but if I were closer I think I might come every week:) I think if I were the manager I would run a rewards program and send out the movie list to members each week. I think people just forget.

We have been watching movies at this theater for probably 30 years. Its actually gotten better through the years. With the high cost of seeing movies in a theater, we spent $7.00 for two of us. The movies they show have been out for several months, but that makes absolutely no difference to me.

You get what you pay for. We love coming here because the movies are so cheap. That being said, I wish it felt a little cleaner.

Its cool. Theater needs a deep cleaning or an upgrade to get rid of smell.

Nicest discount theater Ive ever been too. Fairly new, comfortable seats that have arm rests that go all the way up and extra padding between the seats so it can act as a sort of couch. Great for taking children so you can sit right next to them.

This is a great place to enjoy a cheap movie. Now that east Washington st. location closed down, and for good reason it was in an obnoxious neighborhood with kids that their parents did not watch them and leave them to harass the other movie goers as well as the employees. Greenwood location is a much nicer and a MUCH brighter location.

They show new movies regular price and they also show an older movie for $3. Awesome!!! Employees are nice and attentive even when we couldnt get a correct count 10+ group lol.

Good place as always. Ive been going to the movie place sense i was a little girl. Place is clean. Bathrooms stay clean for the most part. Show rooms never look bad. But I wish they would get new chairs.

Been going here since I was a kid and not much has changed over the years (this place is like a portal into the late 80s, early 90’s!). Just a classic all-American movie theater: no fancy recliner-seats, touch-screen ticket kiosks, and self-serve fountain drinks like the other theaters. Great ticket prices ( these are older, 1-3 month old movies ) and the best popcorn. Hope this place never closes!

You sure cant call it the $1.50 movies anymore ! Why does a 32 oz medium drink need to cost $4.80 if the movies arent $1.50 anymore should be making plenty of money just from ticket sells? Wont be back will go to regular theaters!

It old but has that 80s and 90s old looking chairs!!Popcorn is unexpectedly delightful I love movies 8 so much! Staff are great and fast the only thing is its dirty they need to clean more often. But its nice.

This place is absolutely amazing when you realize what you are paying for. Most of the movie tickets are a buck a piece and you get some great audio and visuals to follow. Concessions prices are a bit high but that is always to be expected of for a business who needs to make money. As for the movies they are great as well and are cheaper to see because they have been out for a bit already in major theaters. So if there is a movie you want to see I would absolutely wait until they have it showing here! Besides that everything was fantastic.

The modern equivalent to the dollar theater, ticket prices are two or three dollars today. Concession prices are full price so lose the savings there. Interesting that they also play Bollywood movies. We had a vegan friend visit so we knew there would be Indian restaurants in the area and there were. Venue was clean so we will visit again.

We go every week . I love the popcorn and drink refill and the price for these is a little less than other movie cinemas. I think that the price you pay for the movie offsets all of this. My husband and I can go on a date night for around $20.00. Great prices for families and they have a variety of movies (usually something for all ages). It is a little dated, but, still fun !

The staff was very nice & the place wa clean. However the heat was not on & I froze the entire movie. The staff did they will see what they can do but it didnt warm up. Bring a cover...lol

Not even kidding, been coming here all my life. And I dont mind waiting a little longer for the newer movies to come to this screen! Used to be the dollar theater. But my family and I still affectionately refer to movies 8 this way. ;) Even if its a couple bucks now. Also! I appreciate that they have movies for the Muslim community. And I apologize to that community if I refered to them incorrecrly. Im not persinally Arabic, Hindu, Muslim, or any combination of the 3 or more. Lol. But I value the community I live in, and the people here with us all. Its great to have options for the increasingly diverse Indiana populous. I support Movies 8!
