Have enjoyed several plays over the years at the Phoenix Theater. I liked the old church they used to use. The new facility is nice. I dont think I will be attending anymore plays there. Its too LGBTQ for me.

Went tor a fundraiser event for IYG

I would have given it a zero stars but couldn’t. First time at the new place but had been to the old one several times. We left at intermission. Actors were great, but the play itself was worse than lame. And the brunch....I’ve had better food at a continental breakfast at a Days Inn. Sooooo disappointing.

Great shows for a great price. Very professional. Excellent for a family outing or a date night, depending on the show.

Such an awesome space

This is a lovely facility. We were in the black box theater. We are both 62 and I am very heavy but the seats and the rows were wide enough that we did not fee cramped.

More people need to spread the word on this amazing theater! We volunteer here and get to see so many fabulous plays. Great actors, great management, friendly ushers. You dont want to miss the new Phoenix Theatre or its season of plays on two stages - one large, one small. Plus they can host any event with their extra space. They also feature local artists in their gallery space. You wont regret your experience!

This is one of our favorite theaters in Indianapolis. Their plays are like SNL meets the theater. As a result, they arent your usual theater productions. They are wacky, funny, offbeat, depending on the production a little dark.

Expertly performed and yet interactive with the audience. Kudos big time!!

We had a ball. So funny. Good story. Theater is neat. Restrooms are so big, clean, and many of them. Staff and actors had a question answer after the show. Informative and lets you see the actors as they really are. They gave my granddaughter a 16th Birthday shell alwYs remember. This show deserves to play to packed houses for the rest of their run. Thank you all.

Beautifully constructed venue!!! It has the capacity to multiple events simultaneously, and one does not disrupt the other, and the staff is excellent!

Entertaining productions at a very nice modern facility

Fairly recent Theatre. We were in the smaller performance area, with bleacher style seating, but every seat was excellent and it was nice being so close to the performers and stage. Seems to be a good venue!

Small parking lot across the street on West side of Illinois. Unisex restroom closets. Two stages. Brand new building 2018.

This new location is very nice. And they have unisex restrooms, a nice and innovative concept. Ill be back!

The Phoenix theatre is a new facility located downtown Indianapolis. The theatre has 2 stages. The building is very modern. Beverages, including wine, Sunking beer, and soft drinks. Parking is available across the street and is free.

The.intimacy of this theater is part of its appeal. Maybe because it reminds me of the theater fromy hometown, or maybe because in a theater this size, there is not a bad seat in the house. The smaller, cabaret style room downstairs can be a challenging view for a short person, and is still well worth it because you are even closer to the action. I am always impressed by the caliber of the sets, costumes and acting. Phoenix tackles emotionally charged topics beautifully. I always leave feeling better for having been there.

CHRISTMAS BE WARNED!! This years (2018) Christmas show is horrible. Last 3 years have been funny and witty. This year was very interpretive. And I do not mean artistic fun. It was just plain nonsense. Save your cash this year and try another show at this great new venue in 2019.

Shows are edgier than other local theaters. They sell a flex package which allows you to pick your shows.

My wife and I have been attending the Very Phoenix Xmas for the past 9 years, and based on this we must really like it right? Well, we have loved the show up until this year (#11). We have always enjoyed the show with its humor, song and dance, and a few soft Christmas moments. But this year was very different. They choose to go a more political route this year. We love to attend the shows each year to kind of kick off the season and relax and have a good time. And get away from all the stress of the day, the work week, and the world issues that we are bombarded with every day. So to attend what was typically to be a relaxing and light hearted event was not as it was before. We did not feel this was the right place to platform ones political views. At least not for what this show is suppose to be and has been for the many years we have attended....

I was lucky enough to be part of a tour last night showing off this lovely old theater. Our guide could not have been friendlier and his love for the space was easy to understand.There are two theater spaces that are small, intimate, and nicely maintained.You will want to get there a bit early to find parking but I easily found a free spot a few blocks away.

Had a great time

Went and saw the play Sweat. Parking was nonexistent but found a lot close that cost $5. The venue was nice and the theatre area was as well. Sat in the back and the sound at times was hard to hear. I would return here to see another play.

Fantastic place for new theatre. They only perform works that have not been produced in the area. A Very Phoenix Xmas is now a holiday tradition for us, its different and hilarious and heartwarming every year.

I have gone to the theater for the past 5 years to the Phoenix Xmas and it was fun upbeat.This year was huge disappointment! We left during the intermission. Very disappointed !Hope they figure it out.

Nice Community Theater. It is a beautiful old building that could use some updates. I believe they are planing on doing so. I have never been disappointed in any show I have seen. It is a valuable addition to the arts in Indianapolis.

I thought the actors were good. But I was appalled at the language!!!! This should have been rated R. The f*** word was used appropriately 40-50 times and they spoke of jacking off and other references to genitalia. The refreshments were outrageous $5 for a can of pop! These shows should be rated, there where kids in the audience around the age of 8. I would not recommend this place due to know ratings.

This was the second time Ive gone to see a Christmas show here and it was absolutely amazing. Im definitely going to keep coming back.

Halftime with Don is a great show whether youre interested in CTE, family relationships, or the premiere of a new play. Fantastic cast, superb physical and emotional acting.

We saw the last performance at this location. They are moving to a new home. A fine cast and a bright insightful play Fairfield made for a wonderful evening.

We have an awesome time every time that we watch a play here. The Xmas show especially is a true display of the talent of the theatre!
