The play structure in the park is unique. There are levels on a tarp like material that go high up held together by stretchy bungee cords. There is a little thing kids can pretend to surf or skate on and balance on,it is usually quite muddy and unusable. There is a few small slides. There is a bench, and picnic tables and plenty of places to sitIt is a very small park. Its quite clean and bathrooms are always open. However, one month a pole had fallen. From winds which just knocked it over. There is a nice little walk which is dedicated to a fallen officer. It is a very very short walk through a few tall trees and some nice flower bushes. There are some volleyball nets closer to the road and not much of a grassy area at all. Its not a wide open space. There is no view of anything except for some tall trees and a road and houses on the other side. You think there would be more trails by the boat ramp but its not public friendly and just goes straight through some housing built there. Also its pretty close to the nuclear station.

Beautiful area. Even the parking lot is nice during this time of year. There is a building on the water to do nice events with.

We only really go for the marina, but its definitely a nice one. The park itself looks really nice as we drive through it, too, but the Marina has an amazing view, clear water and plenty of parking.

Went for a private paddleboarding class. We had so much fun. The paddleboards were in good condition and there was easy access to the beach.

Great place to fish and launch your boat. Because when you launch as each ramp is about the width of a truck. The ramps DONT connect so too far to the middle and onto the water goes the boat, trailer and vehicle. They have pot-a-pottys and a small marina of docks to land on for quick stops. It currently says they will charge but Ive never seen anyone at the gate before. Please dont fish from the docks. I see people often try but its a safety problem. If you make it so staff is required then they will start charging again for entry.

Tucked away, good playground, but being right on Lake Norman, we expected to be able to go and see the lake. It is not visible from the playground, and a fence blocks you from walking to the waters edge.

This park is great! It has a playground for kids, volleyball, lake access and picnic tables. Probably has more, but we didnt explore it all. Its the perfect place to take your family, hammock and picnic while enjoying the view.

The ramps have docks unlike Ramsey Creek. It is a little steeper but in all nicer. And you dont have little kids from the beach running everywhere and asking you if you will take them out for a ride.

This park is very close to our house and we regularly visit it on our way back home from errands. The playground is compact, but my kids love the climbing structure and tall slide. Its usually very quiet and not busy. Sometimes the volleyball area is busy, but it doesnt impact parking enough to be a problem for the playground area. There are a few picnic tables around the playground. Only complaint is that the bathrooms are not ill-kept- theyre usually pretty dirty and Ive seen the toilets clogged on more than one occasion.

Best boat launch Ive ever been too. A lot of ramps, easy access to temporary slips. Parking is designed well to pull into and out of. No backing up to park your trailer. Right near the main channel with no crazy long no wake zone.

I LOVE going here, even if you dont have a boat..take your family here, let the kids play on the playground, go around the corner and watch the boats and Sea-Doos launch, while you sit at the picnic table..its very relaxing and fun to be by/on the water.

Cute park with fun playground equipment. Lots to climb! Picnic tables are available. However, it seems like someone somewhere could design a slide that doesnt get so hot that kids have trouble sliding on it. Beware of poison ivy around and about and near the picnic tables. Leaflets three, let them be.

They put a new gate up that prevents early morning access. Early rising boaters can’t access the ramp. So much for being a public boat ramp....

This used to be such a beautiful well-kept park by the lake. I had lunch at a picnic bench today and there was overflowing garbage cans garbage all over the grass into the water beat up picnic benches one was so dilapidated you couldnt even sit on it. So disappointing. Im not sure if its county/ town but they really need to get someone in there and maintain it

Found this place on Google by just trying to find a place for fun for my kids so my mother and myself decided to go there. As seen by these beautiful pics this place is def beautifully amazing. The view and everything is mesmorizing. Cant wait to get on a boat or canoeing. Only down part on my end is I had to hurry back to work so I wasnt able to finish walking around to find the play area for my kids. Can anyone give me an idea of where it may be so I can go back when I have more time to enjoy with my family?

Nice park with several sand volleyball courts, playground for the kids. There are some picinic tables by the water if you want to have lunch at the waters edge. There are 6 boat ramps, but the docks along the ramps are a bit short on 4 of the 6 ramps. If you have a small boat, use the small dock ramps please! There are bathrooms as well as several boat docks for those who need to park their boat. The even have a few jet ski docks. Free admission for people, but there is a small launch fee for those wanting to launch their boat. We get the season pass for $50 to launch ours.

Nice Park& Boat Launch Ramps !I saw 5 volleyball courts here (byob ?)There is also a bathroom facility, a NICE climbing gym structure & a number of full view shaded picnic tables with grill sites surrounding the play area.* THIS would be a perfect spot for a small kid romp & grill some hotdogs kinda place WITH a fence between this play area & LKNormanAROUND THE CORNER is a nice boat launch area. Structure has bathrooms & what looks like a concession area window(see pictures)* This is also the access for the Lake Norman Community Sailing group.** If you spoke with the sailing guys at the midatlantic boat show this is their home basin
