The Holyoke Childrens Museum is a staple within the city, and is simply a great, fun, and entertaining place to bring young children. The museum is located in the lower lever of the building, you an take the elevator or stairs down. The cost for children and adults is $8 each, $5 for seniors, and free to children 1 year or younger. If you live in the area the best value is a yearly pass. There are many different play areas which include a make believe restaurant, grocery store, dog grooming truck, large bubble making area, flowing water area with boats, two story climbing and crawling area, shadow room, hand puppet theater, pneumatic tube area, toddler play area, and many many more. Everything is geared towards childrens playing, learning, and role playing. There are two large birthday rooms with refrigerators, tables, and chairs. One is animal themed, and the other is barnyard themed. The Childrens Museum has a lot to offer young children, and no matter how many times I bring my own children they never get tired or bored of it.

I enjoy coming here with my toddler. It’s great in colder days but lots more to do in the summer. Lots of activities to do. I go on weekends so parking on the street at a meter is no issue. I do not recommend parking in the garage across from it as it is not clean and seems abandoned.

A great place for fun! This is a small museum, but has loads of fun activities for children. Theres a water station, air maze for seeing how air moves, post office, ambulance, fire truck, police department. Holyoke being a mill town as part of its history they have a station for weaving, so they teach history and they have a real granite slab with dinosaur track fossils. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They help make the museum fun. My grandson is 3 and had a wonderful time.

This place is a dream come true for 4-6 year olds. Most things are geared towards younger children and theres a wide variety of activities. Its a testament to the team that so many stations are sponsored by community businesses and organizations. My daughter and I visited from Wisconsin and we werent sure what to expect, but 4+ hours later, I had to drag her away; she loved it that much.

We really enjoy the Holyoke Childrens Museum. We have been going here him for about seven years. We all got a membership each year. I have three kids and live in Holyoke. Sometimes I find it difficult to see all three of my daughter at once while I am there. I feel like theres an expectation that I need to be able to visualize all three of my children at the same time in order for us to be there which feels relatively undoable so from time to time I have taken breaks from going. I wish that you enter the museum I got him stamped and then there were bathrooms. I dont like that children leave the main entrance to use the bathroom. I dont want strangers going out there with children in the bathrooms. So of course I accompanied all three of my children to the bathroom on the right there. Which usually means all 4 of us In one stall. My kids really love the climbing thing in the water table. Can definitely stay there for entire day without getting bored.

I have been going here since I was a kid so I’m always super excited to bring my little one. There are so many things to do to keep the little ones occupied and every activity is a learning experience which I love. New exhibits make their way in frequently so children don’t get bored of doing the same thing. Beware of times when they are hosting events or when kids are out of school, I would not recommend bringing toddlers around those times!

This place is sick. I fit all 195 lbs and 73 of myself in the tumbler. Whether its allowed or not idk. Theres plenty to do and you can easily plan for two hours of fun just roaming around. Unique museum that is more about having fun playing at an exhibit. I use the activities as talking points with my son. So wait what causes the handkerchief to move in the tube????

We are Free Fun Friday veterans. We have gone to A LOT of childrens museums. Weve been to so many the kids seemed to be getting bored with them and I was thinking about not going to them anymore. Im so glad we decided to do one more. This is by far the BEST IN THE STATE! It has the best attractions of every other childrens combined under one roof. And for good measure they added in even more. We were there for hours and I dont think we really got to see and experience everything. Afterwards the kids compared notes and each had favorites that their siblings didnt even see. It was such a good time that even my 11 year old who groaned and complained she was too old for baby stuff didnt want to leave. Everyone wants to go back!

Weve now taken our 2-year-old here to play 4 times and just love it. She constantly asks to go back. We bought a 13 month family pass which was very reasonable! There Is so much here to stimulate her very curious mind and keep her active and running and playing for hours. I especially love the giant hanging carpeted Jungle Gym! She could literally play on that all day long and just exhaust yourself! Thank you! We will be going again tomorrow and I suspect we will get quite a bit of use out of this pass. I couldnt give it a higher recommendation. The staff are very very friendly and theyre all smiling and some even join in playing with the kids; its obvious they enjoy working with them.

I suggest checking out your local library for passes, many have 1/2 off admissions. Also, there are places outside to eat a lunch, you just cant bring food into the museum. I highly suggest that idea! The snacks and water prices are insane! Kids have a variety of activities to do for all ages, the Merry Go Round and a play area is right outside the museum too. Its 2.00 a ride so we only did 2 rides for the kids. The Birthday parties can be a little annoying coming in and going out because of all the chaos and other little kids upset there is a party there and they are not going. Lol. Use a LOT of hand sanitizer around cold and flu season!

The building doesnt have a parking for visitors but theres plenty on the streets around. I will call it a park more than a museum because most exhibits are interactive. Its more toddler and little children oriented but bigger kids can have lots of fun too if they keep it open minded. Mi one-year-old was having a blast and my 10-year-old had plenty of entertainment too. Its a place I will visit regularly mainly because provides a safe, estimulating environment for my toddler and also a time-away-from-screens for my pre-teen son.
