If you want to take a look at beautiful wildlife in this area, this is the place to go. Very nice path laid out to the reservoir through the woods. It has trash and recycling cans where you could dispose of your trash. Thats a nice touch. Very well taken take of. Good for a quick family trip.

No dogs allowed. unfortunately dogs are prohibited, according to a very straightforward sign in the front and one of the parking lot folks told me before I went in. Luckily I was with other company, so we all rotated seeing the reservoir while someone watched my dog. Theres a long path right when you get in, take that all the way to the end. I say this because there are also little paths on the sides of the long path, and some of my group went to the first path on the left, which they said was pretty but nothing over the top. Take the long path towards the end and you will see a gorgeous huge panoramic view of two separate bodies of water with a small pathway down the middle, you can walk around both. Definitely gorgeous and highly recommend!!

Nice and flat gravel covered paths that range from a mile loop to about 4.5 miles all the way around. Very peaceful and quiet walking, with just the sound of the crunching gravel under foot and the nature around. Canadian Geese were around, and lots of droppings cover the pathways, so watch your step! You can also bring your bike for a nice bike ride.

Wonderful views of flora & fauna! Peaceful & serene, not crowded but enough people to feel safe. some wearing masks but most arent due to there being enough space to social distance safely. Earlier or later in the day, i havent been in the middle of tbe day.

Very beautiful reservoir to walk around in.. however the parking is abysmal. No more parking allowed on the side of the road leading into the reservoir and the lodge of elks nearby has signs threatening tows if cars are parked there without authorization that doesnt stop people from parking there but Im not taking any chances. Very very bad parking in this otherwise gorgeous place.

Four miles of flat roads and trails that loop around this reservoir make for an enjoyable time. If your walk around the Holyoke Mall bores you, hop in the car and drive two minutes up the road. Youll enjoy the fresh breeze and the beautiful waterscape, full of nature and friendly people. Take a walk for your health or just the pure enjoyment of it. You can also ride a bike around the loop. Leave the dog and the fishing equipment at home because theyre not allowed, understandably...its a drinking water reserve. I very often find a great heron wading the waters edge. Youll see turtles sunning themselves on a log, and big red-tailed hawks circling above. Youll be glad you you spent some time here. Bring a camera too. If you liked my review please give me a thumbs up. Thanks and enjoy!

Absolutely gorgeous place. One of my favorite places in all of Massachusetts. The path goes all the way around Ashley Pond and the water towers are something else. Been here when its sunny, when its threatening to rain, when its cold and windy, even at night, and each is its own experience and a half. If youre ever in Holyoke, come here! Its worth your while.

Absolutely beautiful place to take a walk. Abundant wildlife, you will see plenty of herons, ducks, and geese and various songbirds here. Very clean and well kept. Being able to walk some of the paths with the water surrounding you from both sides is one of the most relaxing experiences. The trails are well travelled but never feels too busy here. Very easy trails for people of all ages too. If you stay on the open trails away from the woods it isnt too buggy.
