We were here on a trip to Portland and nearby area. We signed up to participate in the sidewalk chalk festival. We had an awesome time. We also walked around downtown. Parking was easy. The shops are cool and lots of places to eat. We really enjoyed walking around downtown.

Family went to the car show today. So much fun, so much joy, so many great cars! And all in the backdrop of one of the best downtowns in the Portland metro. Cute shops, great look, safe area. What else can you ask for a family outing on a Saturday morning?

Cool busy place during day

A great place to wander on a nice day. Lots of great little shops to wander in and a Park area as well as a large Park across Powell Boulevard. theres also on several small bistros and restaurants located throughout.

Love this area to just walk around, grab a coffee or bite to eat, browse through stores, etc.

Love it! Highly recommend it!!. Usually mellow place to go, not a lot of people, just the right amount.. Excellent restaurants, ( my favorite being the Greek restaurant right in front of a coffee shop that has the best if not almost the best coffee in Portland. It has a friendly vibe unless you walk towards the max.. which is usually not a good idea regardless of where you are at. Historical downtown Gresham also has Main park which is not my favorite park to go but I love their little Japanese garden.. and if you got kids they can play there since its designed for kids. Never walk behind the park, ( right where the lake is) specially at night.. I have seen tons of homeless people ( not the nice kind but the ones that probably got in trouble with the cops) as well as police constantly riding their bikes through that area. Not my idea of a good time.. I would say that besides that area downtown is mostly safe. Never seen nothing go wrong, and I have been there a lot. There is a also a lot of stores, and by this I mean enough to entretain you for a while since there is two outdoor malls ( Ulta, Ross, Rue 21, worlds market, PetSmart are some of the names that come to mind, but there is a lot more..). Downtown Gresham has a really great vibe to it!!! I love the murals, and just the energy the place has. If you never seen it what are you waiting for?

Best place EVER to get candy and popcorn...and little knick knacks too

Nice area, lively and safe feeling. Small Town feel with live music, small restaurants and yummy dessert bars. Stick to Main St though.

II gave it five stars because my brother my brother does taekwondo down there and he does really good in there u.s. world class taekwondo and I hope send

Ive always liked downtown gresham for its city like feeling and the social place it it. I highly recommend getting goods from around here.

Walking around the farmers market was fun and a great way to start the day. Lots of shops and places to eat in the downtown area.

Relaxed and has a small tourist town vibe.

Several places to eat of a wide variety. A few shops/stores/boutiques. What struck me most about area was the architecture & apparent age of the bldgs. What a surprise! There was an obvious former church that is now a bar & grill advertising live music. The bldgs are really neat, ages vary.

I love downtown Gresham! So many good shops! And I always see Mr. Gresham.

I cannot get enough of downtown Gresham. From their tree lighting ceremony to their antique shop I am hooked. They have about two clothing stores, one child clothing store, several amazing food locations, game shop, furniture shop, candy shop and beer gardens. I highly recommend walking down main street and experiencing this area.

Great little area, lots to see and do. Great little candy store with good popcorn.

Best one day fair in Portland.

My husband had an accident and it was really hard to get help from passersby. A couple of people did come to his aid finally. That was before ambulance and the fire department got there.Some gentlemen came to help get his wheelchair back onto the sidewalk. And, then they went on their way. I want to thank them for what they did.
