Beautiful historic St Marys in Fredericksburg Texas. The original smaller church is now more of a chapel and sits next to large new church. See Historical marker. Across from the church are the Catholic School and other buildings. So beautiful.

This is one of the most beautiful places I have seen. If you are a fan of old churches you need to see this. We found it by accident just as the sun was going down. It was a breathtaking experience. The entire church was constructed without modern tools like we have today. This fact adds to its charm and inspiration.

This is one of the most beautiful Catholic Churches in the US. The attention to detail is just so exquisite. The wood carvings, railings and spiral tower are breath taking. The stain glass windows, statues, Stations of the Crosses so memorizing. The church has been maintained really well. It seems so hard to believe such a gorgeous church was built in the early 1900s by hand.

During a girls weekend we wanted to do something other than eat or shop. Visited on Sunday afternoon. We went into the old church while waiting for Mass to end, then did the self-guided tour. We were in awe and inspired to visit other painted churches.

Beautiful painted church with lovely stained glass. Ornate marble work altar. There was a wedding starting soon so we didnt get to visit long but they had a binder that you could use for a self guided tour. They had a La Pieta replica at the back of the church. We did not go upstairs. Even the organ was beautifully painted.

Beautiful ️! The congregation was welcoming and friendly. It was nice to see such a vital and thriving parish with such active participation, particularly among the young people in attendance. Oh, and the architecture of the old and new churches is gorgeous and meticulously maintained. **Thank you for living out the Catholic faith.**

I recently had the privilege of visiting Fredericksburg and St Mary’s Catholic Church. It is an exquisitely beautiful church. I greatly enjoyed the service. The people were very friendly. We meandered through some of the shops in town after attending mass. I would definitely go again if the opportunity arose. It was a very welcoming community of God’s people.
