This place holds deep seeded sentimental memories of my childhood, so I am rather partial.My parents purchased a time share here in 1983. Every year, once a year, we would come down for the week and a splendid week it always was!! Mind you I am 42 years old now, 40 years of summer visits, with my now grown 3 siblings, and of course mom and dad. I much prefer this part of Fort Myers Beach (at the north end of the island) as it is quiet. Most people that come here to party will do so at the famed Lani Kai hotel, that is right along the strip, bar after bar, sprinkled with maybe a half dozen restaurants.The Royal Beach Club isnt real fancy, it is turn-key, with most of the decor a tad out dated. But hey, were here for the beach right? Time spent in the room is for breakfast, lunch and or snacks, dinner and sleep. The beds are too firm for me but a small price to pay for a week full of beach and pool play. The pool is very large and clean. There are tables with umbrellas surrounding as well as a spa/jacuzzi. I love this place. It will always hold special in my heart. Especially now. My daddy passed away in April this year unexpectedly. While we were missing one main element of our trip, the memories here will last forever.

We stayed at the royal beach club in townhome 1 and couldn’t have been happier. The townhome has 2 levels with kitchen and living room on first and 2 bedrooms upstairs. Very nice place to stay with guests or kids as they have 2 bathrooms as well. If staying for extended stay they also have a laundry machine in the unit! Private pool and hot tub if you don’t like swimming in the ocean. Lots of fun activities to do at this place and it’s also very close to town square where the pier and all the restaurants are. We will definitely book here again and ask for unit 1.

Great location with wonderful amenities. Great beach access with proximity to the pier. On a busy island location is everything and Royal Beach club offers quick access off of the bridge.

Great location. One of the nicest stretch of beach in Florida. Within walking distance to everything you need for your stay. Resort pool bathrooms and hot tub need to be updated. The condos were clean. Biggest complaint would be how rude the staff is. Every phone call made to confirm our stay or ask questions entailed arrogant and rude replies. The women running the front desk are nothing but mean. They need to go. Most resorts have happy smiling faces that greet you and are happy to have you return for future stays. Im glad to see Im not the only reviewer who feels this way.

I won a week stay at the Royal Beach Club Resort. I was very impressed with the accommodations. The office staff were wonderful to work with. Always pleasant & eager to please. Wonderful people. This place is pretty from the outside, but, if you have a problem with your room, be ready!! It probably wont be fixed!! The 2 woman that run this property are terrible!! Very mean and nasty. If you have a problem, they will make you feel like its your fault!! Certainly not customer service oriented! We made the best of it! The other folks that stay were nice! Didnt feel safe as a mother and female. We made make shift bed every night in front of our patio door that didnt lock. Just not ideal for a young family!!!

We love the Royal Beach Club. We have been coming here for the past 10 years. The staff of Linda and Barb are wonderful. Always helpful and making sure that you have what you need. Close to the pier and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. We wouldnt stay any where else in FMB!

Excellent location, right on the beach! Staff is friendly and resort is kid friendly. Staff have two parrots that come during the week, Jack and Logan that the kids get excited about.

Everything broke or not working. WIFI terrible. Staff is very unfriendly & not helpful at all. Beautiful location if building was being taken care of.

Great location. Rooms need upgrades

Not impressed with this room. Its old, small and the beds are as hard as a rock. No dresser in the bedroom. The bathroom is sad, shower is very small and there is mold on the walls. Its good point is its right on the beach. Pool is ok and the hot tub seats about 4 people. very little shade areas by the pool. There are 2 buildings. T1 appears to be newer, so if you plan to stay here, ask for the newer side. Not coming back.

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience at this location. The staff was rude and condescending. The rooms were claustrophobic and dingy. The walls are super thin. Our upstairs neighbors kept us up all night!!! We had to leave after three nights after booking for the week.

I cannot say enough about the warm hearted staff at RBC. Barbara is a great hostess. The grounds and pool area are immaculate. I started staying at RBC 8 years ago we visited for my then 4 year old daughters birthday. Barbara was so accommodating to us she allowed us to bring in a mermaid.. YES mermaid to swim in the pool with my daughter at her birthday party. 8 years later and the pictures are still hanging in the lobby! We have stayed several times since and every time is better than the last. Security is top notch and beach roamers are kept off the property with due diligence. Very family oriented but not so much so that moms and dads can let there hair down and blow off some steam. I have shopped around and the prices are more than reasonable by comparison to the rest of Fort Myers Beach. They are one of the only clubs to offer beach volleyball. (Family style, not a bunch of drunk kids playing like elsewhere on the beach). Thank you so much Barbara and the rest of the staff. I look forward to my next stay at Royal Beach Club). Great views and a great place to vacation. It comes with a private beach as well as a private pool if you need a change from soaking in the gulf.

Clean, close to the ocean, restaurants and things to do. The major complaint was the amount of people smoking around the pool at all times of the day.

Horrible experience! Front office staff is incredibly rude! Windows broken in condo, dirty floors making our feet black, out dated old kitchen ...... TVs didnt work in any room and remotes didnt have batteries. The downstairs toilet was sunk appearing to be falling through the floor with broken tiles caving in around it. Worst of all - we believe we got bed bugs from this place!!!!!! Bites all over! DO NOT GO HERE!

Havent been there in several years, but when we were there it was fantastic! Miss being there!

Rooms were fairly comfortable, though very small. There was between 1-2 feet on either side of the king bed in the master, and the bathroom is tiny as well. My main issue with the place was the courtesy of the staff (or lack thereof). Linda was friendly, but everyone else we talked to was incredibly rude.The day we arrived we were not told that they would be closing the office early, so when we showed up an hour later than we anticipated (due to waiting in traffic for over an hour because of a traffic jam), so we had to flag down one of the maintenance guys to help us get checked in. No one answered any of the phone numbers posted on the door, even the emergency numbers. When the maintenance guy called for his supervisor to help us check in, we noticed that he smelled like alcohol, way more than a sober person would, and actually hit another car in the parking lot as he was leaving. That guys supervisor yelled at our small children to shut up because they were being noisy (you know, acting like children) while he was helping us get the keys to the room.Speaking of parking, we were also not told that we were only allowed one vehicle parking pass per room.We finally spoke to the assistant manager the next day to ask about the parking situation, and she told us that theres paid parking across the street you can use. She was combative at every turn and constantly interrupted us demanding that we let her talk, even if we were the ones speaking when she interrupted.The walls are also apparently made of paper. We walked back into our room the first night and were preparing for bed when we received a phone call from the people in the room below us asking us to please stop stomping around because Im trying to sleep. Our two young kids were walking around normally (we dont have stompers), but the lady made it sound like there was a herd of elephants running around.Luckily we were only in the room to sleep, and visited the rest of our family during the day at a different resort. I would much rather have stayed at the other place.Royal Beach Club was a spot of tarnish on an otherwise brilliant vacation. Try somewhere else on the island if at all possible.
