The staff and crew were excellent the restaurant Flippers food was great. My stay was too short I really enjoyed myself the rooms were neat and clean. This is the second review I am giving them due to the fact that some of my pictures were attached to the wrong address.

We had a great experience here at Lovers Key. Staff were amazing, room was great and the view was amazing!! Short walk to the beach for a nice walk along the shore line. We will be back for sure!

Very nice condo with a great view. We really enjoyed our stay and would do it again. We saw dolphins from the window! The bed is rock hard, fortunately we brought a foam mattress topper. Flippers next door was convenient and fast for carry out meals. The pool was great. Could use more towels since pool towels are not available for this rental. A-

For my daughter’s Birthday we enjoyed the resort to celebrate for 2 nights, it was so much FUN and so incredibly Beautiful! The staff was extremely accommodating and hospitable. I want to shout out the “front desk staff” for leaving an amazing Birthday Surprise of chocolate covered strawberries in the room and to Eric in Maintenance who was helpful around the property and very friendly. We were at the resort for 9 days in Penthouse 6.The view was spectacular but the room was quite a disappointment! You would expect the penthouse to be a cut above the regular rooms but it was not!!! We were surprised that we did not have ANY housekeeping services for the entire stay.The staff was very accommodating and friendly and the public areas were clean.Would we stay again? If we did, we would not spend the extra money for a penthouse.

The jacuzzi did not work.

The resort is amazing. I had a high floor with an amazing view. Very comfortable, clean. The thing that I thought was weird was the fact that I arrived after 8pm, so the front desk is closed, so they leave a envelope with your last name on it and the room key, which I find it weird, what if someone else get it or something? And the only problem I had in the room was the bathroom sink was clogged, so after washing your hands or brushing your teeth the water wouldn’t go down, u had to just wait a while. Oh and they had only one elevator working, so it takes a long time for the elevador to come, I took the stairs few times. Would definitely stay here again.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Lovers Key. However, the rooms need better maintenance and cleanliness. The sofa and recliner were absolutely disgusting. The room was missing a light bulb. The refrigerator was old and dirty. If it wasnt for those things this stay would have been 100% perfect. The pool was great and we loved it.

Great vacation spot with tons to do if you like doing outdoor activities, cayaking, hiking, bicycling, beachis aceoss the street but there are several with public access and beautiful island beaches within 30 mins to an hour away

Disapointed with the smells of the resort. When you first walked in it smelled like extreme cleaning agents. Overpowering. Yvonne the clerk was very nice.We have been wanting to come here for quite a while. But we were not pleased. Will not com back.

We (family and Friends), love this place. Flippers restaurant is the best, we go almost every weekend by water (jet-ski or boat). Yesterday we received the best service (as always). Alejandro was our server, the service is exceptional, as is the food! Never ever disappointed!

Beautiful place. Very peaceful but close to all the towns

Our stay in general was quite lovely. On the third day we were able to move into a better suite with a water view, which increased our pleasure tremendously. Our maid service was excellent. People at the front desk usually were very helpful. Our suite was quite nice, though the carpeting showed sign of wear. Only the quality of the linens and the kitchen utensils left a little to be desired. The location requires that you drive a considerable distance in heavy beach traffic in order to get groceries. Now that we are acclimated to the local, we would consider staying there again. Flippers on the Bay was an excellent restaurant and very convenient. Prices were as high as at a very high end place where we had dined far up the beach, and we felt it was much better.

Had a wonderful time at Lovers Key! Would love to return sometime soon!

Nice lodging and restaurant with private beach and just across from the state park.

This place was awesome! Our view was breathtaking. The kitchen was fully stocked of all the things you could think of or need. And the AC was ice cold. The jetted two person bathtub was also a very nice surprise too! Parking is easy, and a Lyft to the pier was only 11 bucks. I am definitely going back.

What a great view.. very nice,quiet place. The only improvements would have been if the hot water flowed enough to be able to use the jacuzzi tub in the room and if bath robes were provided. Loved the regular size coffe pot with very good coffee. Very nice room decor. Not on the beach but that was fine for me. Wanted a view of the waterways. Saw a dolphin in the morning while sipping coffee on the patio. Want to return in the summer.

Had a PH room. A bit out dated where as family had a regular rm that was beautiful. Our outside furniture not appealing at all.View was exceptional. Couch bit lumpy but all in all it was ok. Not worth the cost . Unless it would get updated.

The location and ammentaties are very nice! The unit was nice with a wonderful balcony where we could watch the sunrise. The owners even had beach chairs & an umbrella for us to use! However, the kitchen was pretty limited in cooking utensils & counter space. I noticed that some of the other units have kitchen islands that would have really helped were we were. So if you do much of your own cooking, you may want to check out the kitchen ahead of time.

Ive been to Lovers Key Resort many times before with my family. This time I drove over with my fiancee to get away from our noisy, busy lifestyle. Looks like we were dead wrong. We got there on a Wednesday afternoon and it was great, but by time night came it became apparent how poor the room was kept. Not only that, but we were woken up by kids who snuck into the pool at midnight and were drinking beer and being extremely loud. I went to call the front desk and low and behold, the line was busy and nobody could answer. The next day we started our day off at the pool (Which was supposed to have a limit of 10 people) with social distancing guidelines in place. Turns out THAT was a lie, there were far more people that just kept coming into the pool and nobody turned them away. I understand its a resort and they have to try and accommodate everybody, but seriously the first few parties that are in the pool area should be able to stay, and later parties denied access.My fiancee left the pool and went to dinner, when we came back later that night, we couldnt sit on the patio because of grown adults screaming CANNON BALL along with children screaming at the top of their lungs. This was a Thursday night, and again we came to Lovers key for a relaxing getaway. The only time we were relaxed was when we were OFF property. When there are drunk adults acting like children and kids screaming, at what should be an adults getaway, it takes away from the allure of a vacation. My fiancee and I are extremely disappointed in how things were handled (or should I say NOT handled), basically NO customer service, NO ROOM MAINTENANCE, and just straight trashy people because the prices were so cheap. It was absolutely disgusting and heartbreaking after staying there so many times before.THE BEST PART OF OUR TRIP was eating at FLIPPERS ON THE BAY. The food never ever disappoints, and we had a great time just eating and watching the dolphins in the bay. After that, I cant truly say one good thing about the resort. What I will say is that it was not my first time there, but it is definitely our last.DISGUSTED. UPSET. DISAPPOINTED.

I recommend this resort. It is far enough from the crowds, yet close enough to get to all the shops and restaurants. The area has a local trolley that stops in front of the resort (on the main road).The views are fantastic as the resort is located on Lovers Key.If you are staying a while, you have a full kitchen available. We ate out most of the time we were there; including a dinner at the adjacent restaurant, Flippers. The name does not reflect the level of cuisine offered here. It also overlooks the water.The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and come stocked with all the basic needs (dishes, soaps, towels, extra sheets, etc.).

Everything was fairly good, very peaceful relaxing time, I loved the morning dolphins passing by every day... only complaint is that the air filter should have been changed before bc there was dust everywhere.. my husband was sneezing the whole trip.. but overall good and peaceful view.

Such a nice place to get away too. The staff is especially accommodating and were eager to upgrade us to a much larger suite when we had a small issue with our original room. The restaurant is open for business and just asks that you call ahead first to reserve a time.

We had a beautiful weekend here and really enjoyed the view, the balcony, and our room was perfect. We had everything we needed to cook and relax. The staff was helpful. Flippers was a great restaurant right on the property basically. The hot tub and pool area were clean and basic, could have used a few more umbrellas and shaded areas.

Resort was beautiful, right on the Gulf. Great pool with plenty of chairs that were spaced out so no one was on top of each other. Restaurant on property was pricey, but well worth it. Kitchen in the room was nice to have and well stocked with pots and pans. The hallways off the elevator make the place look like its in desperate need of renovation, but the rooms themselves are beautiful. Would absolutely stay again!

Beautifully landscaped. 11th floor, amazing view of the water. Beautiful pool area. Love the privacy of when you first walk in. You actually have to take the elevator to the front desk. A restaurant on the premises that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.When we got of the elevator and off on the 11th floor, you can smell the old stinky carpets which are desperate need of a shampoo. The curtains in our room were falling apart. The room was clean and the resort was nice and quiet. We had a very relaxing weekend at Lovers Key

We live locally and enjoy our weekend getaways. This was our first time to Lovers Key Resort. We loved and will return!

Pros: Beautiful resort. Very friendly staff. Free wifi. Enjoyed my stay. Great rooms. Loved having a kitchen area. The restaurant flippers was great. Best eggs benedict Ive had in a long time. This Is a random, but the vending machines on the ground level had some of the cheapest items Ive ever purchased from a vending machine which was quite refreshing to be honest.Cons: My room phone didnt work. Had to call the front desk with my cell phone every time. 4 of the 6 lights over the table in the living room were out. One lamp in the bed room didnt work. Tried taking a bath but the water wouldnt get hot. Had to call for a maintenance worker to try and fix it.Overall, its a beautiful place to stay for sure. Im sure in most of the rooms everything probably works just fine. I seem to have the worst luck in history, and got a room that needed a lot of things that needed fixing.I would still recommend this place despite my room needing a lot of love and attention. Im guessing the other rooms probably just fine.

This resort is pretty dated. We paid over $400 for one night and the carpet was stained, the white bathroom had rusty spots, and the kitchenette was out of the 50’s. The bed creaked at the slightest movement so kept us up at night. If I had it to do again, I would have paid $200 for a room in Fort Myers at a new hotel chain where you knew what you were getting and had breakfast for free.

This is a beautiful place. Rooms are all suites. The staff is professional and friendly. Room is immaculate. Even smells fresh. The bay windows and balcony open up to a stunning view of the pool and the gulf. The restaurant served a meal that was both delicious AND perfectly executed. Special shout outs to Robert at the front desk and Michelle in the restaurant for making us feel welcome. This ones a keeper!

A quiet and well managed, smaller resort on Lovers Key.

These condo owners should look at these condos and put some money into them. Beautiful pieces of investment. I have no problem paying for something worth the price, but my last experience was simply not fun or exceptable. I called at least 3 times to make sure everything was good and the accommodations were accurate, got there and up to 3 hrs of unnecessary aggravation. In the end didn’t get the room, didn’t get the view we asked for.

This resort was an excellent get away for my husband and I . We loved the view every morning of dolphins and manatee swimming in front of our window. Beautiful views of the bay. The staff was friendly and willing to help out in any way. Flippers is a great place to eat- food is super!! There is no beach here but it is right across the street!We loved walking everyday at Lovers Key State Park!I would highly recommend this resort!!! Great vacation- we will be back....

We enjoyed this resort so much. It was right on the water and the views were amazing! The rooms were spacious and the restaurant on site Flippers on the Bay was delicious. We were with our two small children and they enjoyed the pool. Fort Myers beach is just a five minute drive away and then you can return back to Lovers Key for a beautiful sunset. We will be back again!

My husband and I just went for a quick birthday weekend getaway, but was perfect. Room was spacious and clean. Great view. I love that the pool and Jacuzzi is open 24 hrs. Enjoyed a late night swim after a night out. Would highly recommend this resort and will be going back soon.

We had the deluxe suite with an amazing view of the bay. The entire living room was windows with a nice balcony, large bathroom and a well equipped kitchen. GF enjoyed the hot tub in the room and the bathroom was huge. Not a lot of immenities at this location; flippers restaurant was right next door but waits were 45 min to an hour to get a table in the evening. Breakfast was great there though. Fairly close to state park and other restaurants. On the trolly line but the trolly was only running about 1.5 hours between pick ups so we utilized Uber more. There were a lot of seniors at this hotel- very quiet and clean but maybe a little quieter than we would have wanted.

Overall, was an excellent property. Very clean and well maintained. Pool is real nice. Flippers restaurant had great ambiance. However, prices is real high and selection limited. We ordered shrimp scampi for $28 and it game with only 4 shrimp and no pasta. Front desk was very helpful and friendly.

It was mostly a good stay. First the negatives. Our room wasnt made up when we got to our rooms. The building is definitely dated. The was a bad smell in the ground floor lobby the whole time. When they made our room, they were in and out in three minutes. Only the toilet was actually cleaned. The kitchen and the kitchenette table were not touched. Our room didnt have kitchen soap or a sponge to clean the dishes. The garbage disposal didnt work until we called maintenance to have it fixed.The positives: The staff was really friendly and responsive. The rooms are spacious and really charming and comfortable. You never feel cramped or uncomfortable in the mini suite. The pool is really nice and the hot tub/spa was really relaxing. We saw a pod of dolphins from the pool area. The view from our room, and from the pool is beautiful.Overall I would call this a hotel, not a resort. There are no activities or entertainment. The restaurant next door is very expensive and unimpressive.

We stayed at Lovers Key Resort the second week in May. We had a wonderful time. We found it to be very relaxing and quiet. Our room was clean and comfortable, although it could use some updating. I know that some of the rooms had been recently updated. It was great because we could see the bay side and the Gulf as well! There are several good restaurants within a couple of miles in each direction. We enjoyed our stay very much and would return!!!

Amazing hotel with great location great views, full kitchen in the rooms and the decor is great, the front desk ladies ware great but the best one Adrienne what an amazing top notch service. Only one big spoiler for my amazing weekend was one of the worst beds i ever slept on. Seems the bed which we had the king one had way better days, as a person with really bad back i chose my hotel carefully and with as much as everything else was amazing after a night of sleep on the bed i woke up 4 times in middle of the night with hugh pain in my back and so my wife. The 2nd night i couldnt take it no more so i actually went to sleep on the couch which didnt help me much with completely enjoying my vacation. I am far from being spoiled and didnt expect for no foam bed but hands down i slept in hotel with $79 a night with way better beds. As much as by far the over all room and view and staff was A+ it will be impossible for me to go back as the pains i was enduring cut my trip short and had to take lots of pain killers to tolerate the run down bed. Hope the ownership will do something about it as the rooms are not cheap and the potential is amazing. Over all i love the place but until the beds will not change i cant see myself back.

Do not stay at Lovers Key Resort. We have found multiple bugs in our room since arriving. Not bed bugs, but other bugs of some sort. One looked like a baby roach. I pulled out the pull out couch and there was food all in the couch. There was fruit loops and finger nail clippings under the couch when we moved it to look for something. The bed was super comfortable but the comforter and pillow had humongous yellow stains on them. Basically, the place was not clean at all. We loved Fort Myers but, we both agreed that we would not be staying here again.

We booked a room for our 5 year anniversary 3 months prior and asked if you had to be a certain age, they said 21. We showed up last night on our anniversary ready to celebrate and they said we had to be 25. Now we have to wait for a check to get our refund. Thankfully Pink Shell Beach Resort and Marina had a room available and took very good care of us.

We were in Room 604... The sofa bed was horrible!! The staff speaks no english.... when we asked for towels because they did not leave enough for 3 people, they did not leave washcloths. The front desk was little help. The decor in the room was nice... service was not. Whatever you do, dont pay to sleep on the sofa bed.... nothing but bars and springs... my back is still in a bad way. Dont expect to be at the beach... not a good one there.

The property was right on the water and had direct access to Flippers Restaurant next door which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lovers Key was extremely accommodating to us during our check-in and check-out.

Stayed here on vacation. A bit removed from Fort Myers Beach proper, but this is what we desired. Adjacent to Lovers Key State Park on Estero Bay. Could see manatees and dolphins daily, swimming immediately below our room. Very clean and well maintained premises was noted. Flippers restaurant next door has awesome food.

The beauty of the location. Friendly staff and very accommodating. The size of our suite was incredible. All the amenities we could possibly need. Close driving to restaurants, sites, boating. It was incredible. Met all our expectations. Hope to return someday!!

Positive: When we arrived, I found we had been placed in a low level room with no jacuzzi. The last time we were there we were in a 7th floor room with a jacuzzi. When I mentioned it the next day, the clerk was able to put us in the 17th floor. What a view! Negative: Having to change rooms after the first night was a bit disruptive, but it was worth it!

Great views from every room!! Immaculate building and grounds! Staff is warm and courteous! Gourmet food right on site with a world class chef at Flippers! Ive been here many times and love it! No obstruction from the pool to the very alive Estero bay so you can see dolphins from your lounge chairs! Centrally located between Ft. Myers Beach and Bonita springs/Naples. They even have a small beach at low tide with sandy shores. About 200 yards long. Coming back soon and cant wait.

NEVER COMING BACK!!I would never stay at this resort and here is why:1) Absolutely outdated and dingy. Rooms and furniture are from 19202) Only restaurant is flippers and is extremely expensive for dinner.3) They give you free coffee in the morning but not any other time. You have to pay for it if it’s not the morning. There is no tea at all on the resort or the restaurant4) They run out of coffee at the lobby in 30min and then they make you go pay for it at the restaurant5) Everything is far from this place and the traffic in this area is terrible most of the time6) Overall just a normal old motel and nothing special. No reason to come back7) the rooms, lobby, hallways and service are motel rated.8) Price is way too high for not getting anything here. Just the pool and view (which you can get anywhere else)I have no idea how this place has 4.5 stars I am really shocked. But there is no reason for me to come back here at all over anywhere else.

Forth year coming here and it was a great stay as usual

The only thing we loved about the resort was every morning we saw dolphins right from the room. The place honestly didnt look like the pictures that were highly filtered. Honestly would never go back to the island. Traffic was horrible... review for another post. The room we stayed in was mediocre at best. Toilet ran every 30 seconds. The check out procedure check list was more complicated than flying a plane. Hudge cleaning fees that ends up being someone vacuuming. For the price you pay, find a Hilton or Marriott.

There were slot of noise from construction machines from outside and the lifter were painting we couldn’t have a privacy time and the front desk were not helpful some of them don’t speak good English they asked asked to change the room because we have to reservation it to them until 3 pm until we got the new keys and they don’t have any kind of breakfast buy or food to purchase We couldn’t swim in the beach we went across the street and swimming was not allow we did not enjoy our vacation it was our anniversary’s they did not do anything to welcome us welcome us the price was really hi coparing to the service
