The family that runs the place is Amazing we got the room and boat package for my sons 13 th birthday and he had a blast they were very accommodating the rooms were nice reminded me of my childhood renting at the waterfront

This place has become completely run down. The floors in the room felt dirty. The shower had no water pressure and the shower curtain had mold growing on it.

Good boats 4 hours. Great time. Cruise into a few restaurants.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Tip Top, including pontoon rental, free kayak use, fishing off the dock, outdoor grilling with seating and the clean heated pool. The price was very reasonable for what you get. It’s nothing fancy but vacations are what you make of them. We stayed in a 2 bedroom which was very clean and everything seemed to work just fine. Daily housekeeping was a perk! Enterprise rental car was a block down the road along with a Trolley stop where we jumped on to take us to the beach. Restaurant next door was good too. Bait/tackle store on the other side where we rented a fishing pole along with bait/shrimp for fishing, highlight of my sons stay. Owners were pleasant and accommodating.

Is right next to the highway and is very noisy. Shower was in bad need for repair. Wouldn’t stay here again

The pool was the best part. The room had a musty smell. It was ok for a one night stay but it definitely needs work Only a few minutes from the beach was also a plus.

Enjoyed our 3 night stay....bar/restaurant next door is an Ohio bar so beings were from Ohio that was a bonus:) Rooms were clean, staff was friendly....not a big luxury resort by any means, but your not paying big fancy prices to stay here either. Great value for your buck. Fridge, microwave, hair dryer, cable and the ac worked well!!! Would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay. We left and forgot our chargers and they were nice enough to call. You cant beat it for the price.

Right on the main road to the beaches, this place was a great location to enjoy the beaches without paying beach prices. That said, it is a motel and the furnishings are serviceable, not posh in any way. It was clean. Our 2 bedroom unit was actually one real bedroom with a door for privacy and one bed in the main room with a kitchenette one foot away from it and a dining table.

Lots of nice features, but our room had a letting ceiling and was not especially clean. Long black hairs on the sheets gave the impression they werent changed.

Outside seating area was nice and they do have a grill to use. Not well maintained but nice to have. Staff was friendly. Room was filthy, not well maintained. Dirty floors, cobwebs, dust. Paint is chipped, doors, baseboards dirty. Blankets were stained. Upon arrival, lights were out or missing, shower curtain was mold and blow dryer stuffed with dirt and hair couldnt touch cord. Vent in bathroom was completely blocked with dust. Door mat is an old rubber car mat. I went to the store and got lysol to clean floors ( they do not mop) Its sad to see a place with a great location so dirty and unkept. They do as little as possible to keep it going.

A great location especially if you are planning a ferry boat trip to Key West as it is 4 or 5 minutes from the port. Staff /owners are extremely pleasant and helpful. Appears they are working very hard to transform a tired, old motel into a pleasant destination on a very limited budget and we appreciate their hard work and dedication. There were somethings in our room which need immediate attention (extremely use of extension cords including one with exposed, bare wires, burned out light bulbs, cigarette burns on the bedding). We hope the transformation is successful and will stay again when taking the Key West Express again.

We stayed here one night after getting off the ferry. Owners stayed late for us to check in. Also allowed us to keep bags in their office since we had a late flight. Super clean hotel. Friendly and accommodating owners

Was first given a room that was not cleaned. The new room smelled funny. These are the list of negative stuff: towels were rough like sandpaper and with stains; shower had poor pressure and bottom was all cracked; night table was barely hanging from the wall; coffee was horrible; pool area had a garbage can with a smelly fish remains; ashtrays full of butts throughout property; TV could’ve been bigger.Positive item include large & clean room, good a/c; nice swimming pool, great price, smoking on outside of room.

Nothing special but the place is pretty clean. Its close to Fort Meyers Beach. There is no water front. For the money its ok and convenient.

Excellent place; They were very accommodating when we had to check in & check out later than the scheduled times. They held the office open for over an hour later than supposed to waiting for us to make sure we had our key and everything was good to go before they closed! Would highly recommend

For the price it was wonderful! Staff was very friendly! Only cons was water pressure (wasn’t terrible), not many plugs to charge phones (but managed), needed more bath towels (I like one for hair and one for my body, but I managed to use 1 for both). very very clean... I would definitely stay again.

This place is a small piece of paradise!!

This place does not live up to their name noisy road, and so bad internet. We have been in many places on this trip without any problems with the internet, but right here it seems very bad, falling off all the time. The barbecue looked significantly better on the pictures than it was, but we used it the days we were there, it was nice to look at the water and the boats.

Reasonably priced and easy to get on trolley to go to beach.

Rooms had lots of space. Great for a quick stay. Rooms werent the cleanest. A little maintenance would make a big difference. The boat rental option was super convenient and great for a short day on the water.

This place is absolutely petrifying. There should be an option for 0 stars because it was simply the worst place Ive stayed at so far in the Fort Myers area. I came to stay with my family for a weekend and to our surprise, the rooms we booked were full of COCKROACHES. It was hard to sleep because everywhere we looked they would show up so we had to leave the lights on; even then, they were still showing up everywhere. There were even a few in the fridge. Due to the horrible night we spent here, we were finally able to speak to the owner the next morning. We even called him to the room so he could take a look for himself and sure enough, he already knew what we were talking about. He told us he would be able to refund the two nights for one hotel room since we were already leaving before the end of the day. When we went to his office, he ended up only refunding us one night for one of the rooms when he had told us otherwise. He lied to us and refused to give us our money back. The management is clearly a mess. Dont let the price fool you, get your moneys worth. Save yourself from spending a horrible weekend here at Tip Top Isles.

Stayed in the area for a couple of days after a cruise before flying back.Good place to stay.Few minutes drive to the various beaches, restaurants, etc. in the area.Nothing fancy but the property is well cared for and the owners are friendly.Rooms are clean and comfortable.The water quality and pressure are great.Reasonable rates.Wouldve liked to stay a little longer and take advantage of their boat rental package...Maybe next time.

Exited to return a year after a good stay. Wow things have changed. I happily paid for two nights and was shown to my room. The room had a horrible oder. I tried to air it out finding no success.Then tried to tuff it out and became physically ill.I immediately went to the office to explain. I had to leave even trying a different room, no luck. I only asked for one night credit, trying to be fair.After agreeing with me he still charged my card for both nights.Please avoid this please at all costs. Absolutely Horrible Experience.I

The manager here was rude from the minute we got here. They only clean the room every other day. They do not tell you that upfront. We asked our third day here why our room wasnt cleaned and the manager actually burst into our room before we entered and said you guys dirtied the toilet and we used it improperly. My wife and i are retired and were really upset by the treatment here. STAY AT YOUR OWN PERIL !!!!

Dirty...murky pool...bandaid in pool...chairs falling apart...refused to refund money...cancelled anyway and paid the 1 night fee... beds not made... I was afraid to stay there.

For the least expensive hotel I could find in the area my expectations were low. Turns out i was plessantly surprised. The loft style apartment room was very nice and clean. For the price you cant beat it. I would definitely stay here again

I have stayed at this motel now 3 times. The third time was NOT a charm. They put us on the back part of the motel with a loft upstairs with no bathroom. We are not in our teens. The TV upstairs did not work however that was fixed from the staff. Upstairs in the loft there were no lights plugged in the lighting issue was horrible, and with 15 stairs to go down lights were definitely needed. The room for the most part was clean, however filthy if you look close. Vase of flowers completely filled with dust. I was not happy with my entire experience this time. Will not be going back to this hotel, ever again!

Very disappointed. The motel was nothing like the pictures. We were given a handicapped room (which wasnt requested by us). The railing in bathroom was full of rust, the bathroom sink water was a dribble. The floors arent mopped so you have to walk around with shoes on or your feet will be black. We stayed 6 nights and housekeeping only came 3 times. Unfortunately, we will not return, which is a shame it was a very convenient to beaches and such.

They only had a 2nd floor loft available, I opened the door & was stunned! It was amazing, way more than I needed or expected. I meant to take a quick nap to go watch the sunset (I think I was there 9/21/19) & woke up at 5 AM instead! Best night sleep I have had in years; I have Fibro & CRPS & I woke up feeling rested & I never do! I peeled back 4 or 5 layers of protective coverings to try & find the name of the mattress but never could get to it; I think the final one was built around the mattress! Megha was an absolute doll & needs a raise. I will be back as much as possible, actually the motel, The Mariner, suggested it after he turned me away due to my Registered Service Dog (with papers & legit vest) & kept barking at me No Dogs as he held one.

I give the resort a 4-star rating primarily because I knew going into it that I was not looking at five star accommodations however everything that I expected was, the staff was pleasant boat rental was cheap the accommodations were great for what we paid

Staff / owners were absolutely wonderful. The facility was clean but needed both cosmetic and functional updates. For example on the night stand by the bed, which was a loft design, was a lamp and an alarm clock.... But there wasnt an Outlet to plug them in. Power to the loft seem to be pulled through a cable and hole in the plaster.The small Marina attached to the facility was pretty cool...rented a pontoon... Had a great time

The gentleman at check-in was very friendly and helpful. We were at least a couple hours early. No problem, We had our room within a half hour. We spent the time next door getting a lunch and beer. The room was very clean and offered everything we needed without paying a premium price. The hotel is close to many restaurants and beaches. This was a good place to stay for the price paid.

Had an absolutley wonderful experience. We had to cancel our second night because of unexpected circumstances on our end. Owners easily accommodated the change with no charges. When the room we requested was not available they also updated us to a 2 bedroom suite with no extra charge. When they checked us in we were given lots of tips on where to go and what to do. Room was updated, clean and well maintained. There is a bit of noise from the highway, but for the price this place cannot be beat! Far above our expectations from two sisters, 60 and 70 we felt totally safe. Would stay again and again!

Love this place, cant get enough of it. Its not a 5 star hotel but if you like outdoor quite places its for you. They have lofts that are like apartments for a very good price. The manager is great, they also rent out boats for you to enjoy, yes they are by the water

Tip Top Isles is way overrated. We reserved a room for two nights, but, upon inspection, we found the room, pool area and lounge area quite shabby, in our opinion. The 2 night stay was paid for using cc points so no refund possible, per their staff. We did not stay. Upon returning home, I found a $50 charge to my credit card? After a couple of phone calls, staff reports that was for a broken light fixture. We didnt do it, didnt stay there more than 30 mins. total inspecting the property. After discussing this with staff, she eventually hung up, twice. So add rude.

Cigarette butts all over property? One of our rooms smelled musty. Great location too hot to rent the poonton. Visited 2 beaches and enjoyed our stay. The mgr Mike was great and moved our kids to a better non musty room.

My husband and I spent several days here and our children and grandchildren joined us for the weekend. We had a wonderful time. This hotel is quirky. The rooms, I was in several, are VERY clean. The king rooms are a good size. There is a table with 2 kitchen chairs, a good size dresser and a desk. The king beds are platform beds so instead of a box spring the mattress sits on wood. It is still very comfortable but be careful of the corners. I put the luggage rack at the foot of the bed after the first time I walked into the corner and had no problem with the corner again. That could be me. A little clumsy. The floors are tile and clean. I like that. No dirty carpet. There are tables and chairs outside every room and we even made friends with the neighbors. The outside is not pretty and it surely could be. The walkways need painting and get rid of the ugly pieces of patio furniture. There are plenty of comfortable chairs and tables without them. Some blinds or contact paper on the store room windows would go a long way. The pool area could use some new umbrellas but the pool is wonderful. It was clean and warm. The owners are on site and very sweet and helpful. I upgraded one of the rooms I reserved from the double queen to the loft. I am so happy I did. The grandkids loved it. There was room for everyone to spread out. We had no problem with the wifi connection the way we do with most hotels. And the TV had at least 100 channels. There is a TV in the patio area and plenty of nice tables and chairs. Please get rid of the old recliner. There are charcoal grills, kayaks and bicycles on site to use and of course, the marina. We did not rent a boat but if we had one more day, we would have. Maybe next time. And then, of course, there is the price. This is the best place for the money that we have stayed in and we take get-a-way weekends several times a year.

Its not a Hilton! A little pricey but convenient and friendly. Boat rentals with a bait shop next door for the fisherman, two miles from Ft. Myers Beach and a canal to the open ocean in the back. If I were to do it all over again, I would.

Very nice stay! We drove in late after checkin, but they put our key in our room and kept the door unlocked for us. They upgraded us to a suite with a bedroom for free. Worked out great since we had two couples! The suite was updated and was pretty clean. It was a nice stay and we would definitely stay again when in the area!

Not a resort at all. Its a motel. Good for 1 night if youre needing a place to stay. Tvs didnt work, linens are heavily used and our plumbing was backed up prior to us arriving.

Everyone that worked at Tip Top were so nice and friendly! I had a ton of fun with my boyfriend there! We are from chicago and were nervous because you couldnt tell what the rooms would be like. We loved it and felt comfortable. Mike let us go fishing on the pier and we had the time of our life!!!

I was very impressed when I went into my room. Hard floors throughout, kitchen, large beds, clean. This location has pontoon boat rental as well. The motel is 2 miles from Fort Myers Beach and about 20 minutes from Sanibel Island. Id definitely stay here again!

Really nice, quiet place that is very close to the beaches. Rooms are clean and they have a hose to wash off your boards or boat when youre done enjoying the day at the beach.

Really nice place my son and his girlfriend stayed here for vacation from Michigan. He was even able to rent pontoon boat for a day right on the property!

Basic accommodations for a good price

It was really great stay, they gave us an upgrade, the room was amazing. Pricing was very reasonable. Location was good too, minimal distance from Sanibel/captivaandalso fort Myers.

Really enjoyed staying here. Clean and the staff is friendly. Lots of things to do; kayaking, boating, bicycles on site for riding. Bait store next door and also a restauraunt within walking distance.Near the beach and shopping. Cable and internet and grills and outdoor seating with TV and a swimming pool.
