What an incredible place! One of Denver is best kept secrets! Great trails, great bridges, great views, my grandson often tells me about times that he loves to ride his bike and go on his trails and just see the true heart of Denver through the trail system! Always sees and feels great here! Thank you for making this place possible again thank you for Denver parks and Rex thank you to anyone it is making these parks available and clean and kept for the general public like us to enjoy
Situated in the very heart of the city where the Cherry Creek joins the South Platt River, this little park is an ideal place to start an exploration of the city. While its close to Union Station and Downtown Denver, its usually fairly quiet. You can take any of the long river trails to run or cycle for miles (10+ if you wish); or spend a few hours in the LoHi area, where shopping and dining options are abundant.
Dec 5. 2020. Beautiful afternoon. Lots of people for a covid. Winter day. Temp. 50 Deg. And sunny. Bike path was a nice ride to this downtown location.
Its very sad to see low water level of South Platte. This summer was dry. I saw people swimming there, but the water doesnt seem to be clean. I would not take risks to swim. Nature around the river is pretty nice.
Very nice and beautiful park. Ideal for walking (by yourself or with a dog). Quite clean, and there is a pretty beautiful river and overall beautiful nature. It is very pleasant to walk here in the morning.
Fun park and it’s a nice walk if you’re staying in a downtown hotel.
Some of the best urban green space in the city! Great place to spot wildlife like muskrats, night herons and other marsh birds.
Really cool park and a great place to bring dogs. Sometimes youll even see some kayakers go through the rapids. Personally, I wouldnt get in the water there because of the very high levels of E Coli, however there are always people playing there. Great views of Denver as well.
This magnificent park includes walkways, bridges, trails and rapids. Easily enjoyed by foot or bike, solo or with dogs and/or your loved ones. The sound of the South Platte is most soothing and the people watching is second only to an airport. The graffiti alone is worth a walk. There are plenty of shady spots and nearby parking is good. I enjoy the mix of local flavors that gather here continually, much like the waters do.
Great place to unwind get a good sweat going or jus relax by da water
This spot is Great for walks, roller blades, biking, picnics, coffee etc. And the people keep it fairly clean. Some people are unaware that there are families there so you will catch some risque behavior in public. But overall very happy to go there and walk 5 days out of the week.
Getting better all the time. The architecture creates a serene scene.
Very nice and relaxing trail/ pitstop. Starbucks and Rei close by
We spent a few hours here waiting for one of our friends planes to come in. It was a nice relaxing a little spot that was quiet and you were able to successfully socially distance while enjoying the outdoors for a bit.
Whitewater, Bridges, Murals, Easy like Sunday morning coffee on the lawn with Endless Views and 21st Century Mews.
A beautiful park where u can walk, ride bikes, or roller skate. There was also people cooling off in the river with an awesome view of the downtown Denver buildings.
Drum circle and dancing is always necessary for balance. Fire spinning is also welcome
Theres consistently a lot of trash. It breaks my heart to see that in such a gorgeous park.
I love this park. I was visiting from California.
Dont get in the water! is dirty and its been dirty for years! 15 years of research has proven high levels of contamination especially e.coli. The park itself is nice, there is plenty space for walking, bike riding and skateboarding. There are also grass areas to have your picnic. The only issue i had was the bathrooms were nowhere to be found, have to walk a block or two for access to a bathroom.
One of the most active well planned park I have ever visited. The park was nice clean and people just navigate easily. Kids were playing all over, water activities was a hit. I like the different connection channels to the park. The real estate development were up to scale and so fitting to the place. My only reservation was seeing people openly smoking marijuana and other stuff. Personally that was a turn off. But overall confluence park is one of the most exciting places in Denver and it is a must see for anyone who is interested in park and open space creation and development.
I always enjoy the Riverwalk when I come to visit Colorado just a nice place to enjoy a good walk and plenty of places to sit and listen to the water slow down stream
One of the most well used and beautiful parks in the city. You can sit on one of the many grassy knolls and watch folks play in the water below, or, you can join on in! Of you get hungry or thirsty, check out the stand that sets up on the south east corner and sells water, sports drinks, and snacks.
Great park!!! So pretty late at night, the perfect date place
Love this place great spot to come with your kids on a very hot day spend some time in the cherry creek/platte river beach and when your hungry your local hotdog stand is their as well
Beautiful better since they remodeled it beautiful area by the river and is a great place for romantic dinners. It is a shame that you cant get in the water anymore because of the E coli outbreak.
Great place to take the kids. Just remember to where foot protection. Theres glass in the river.
This park is awesome and connects to Commons park which is also amazing. The waterfalls are beautiful and the grass is soo green! Park benches galore! There are several places you can even dip your toes in the water, as well as let your dogs swim. Beautiful graffiti as well
I sat here for an hour, feeling the breeze and enjoying the sound of the creek. It’s a cool down place to lay back and relax during hot summer days
Free family fun. The kiddos love it here. We can spend all day down there picnicking and building sand castles.
Me & my family loved it!!! We bought some tubes and it was like we were at a water park!!! We went two different days while on our mini 4 day vacation.
Its a cool park right by the city. People watching here is fun. Im usually just stopped here in the middle of a bike ride on all the connecting trails. Youve got REI and Starbucks right nearby and people play in the water with their dogs. Nice and relaxing.
This park has plenty of running, walking and biking trails, and its a nice place to come and relax by the river. I had to come and see it, and I was appreciative of the fact that this small waterway is a humble beginning that slowly crosses the country and becomes part of the Mississippi.
...other than the homeless folk living under the bridges and smoking bongs in front of chidren, its a beautiful place.
Nice park to sit and have a picnic. Enjoy the view of the small waterfalls.
Nice big open area with plenty of places to hang out with family and friends. My wife and I really enjoy this place. Dont let the location fool you this is a great downtown park. Maybe the nicest of the downtown parks. Be safe.
Such a beautiful place to go relax,Wonderful people.
Pretty interesting spot. Space for everyone, walkers, bikers, families. Be careful getting to close to the water there was a small amount of trash floating in water. Current was strong. Lots of artwork to see. Good vibes.
Love to come here on the weekends.
Lovely at sunset. Just a cool place to hang out.
Beautiful park on the edge of downtown. The city did a great job with the latest renovation. Although its not marked, it is a very historic location.
My kids love this placeYou can spend a couple hours,
Beautiful park at the end of the 16th street mall! Walk along the river. Chill on top of stoner hill! I even got baptized in the river here in August 2018! Hallelujah
Always a good time with the little ones
The park and its associated running paths are a spectacular addition to downtown Denver. You may have to dodge a tipped scooter here and there but its a peaceful place to picnic or stop for a breather while on a jog. Theres practically no city noise and it seems fairly safe, at least in daylight.
One of my favorite places to visit during the week when I cant make it to the mountains. Great place to meet friends or enjoy running/biking on the nearby trail.
Definitely recommend.Beautiful walking area by the river also kids can really enjoy the river....
Love cycling here and listening to the water over the rapids.
Even in the winter months it never ceases to amaze me. The sound of the water drowns the fast traffic right above. Plenty of people here biking, skating, runners and even a few practicing their rafting skills. A great place to visit anytime.
This is a great space in Denver to relax and listen to two rivers converging. Its clean and quiet. If you go at night there isnt much lighting but it still has a safe feeling to it.
My girls loved it they had fun in the water def going every weekend
Confluence Park is th convergence of th South Platte & Cherry Creek. A beautiful place for a picnic while in downtown Denver. Many local attractions nearby. An excellent walking, biking skating park. Do enjoy#rydsafe️
Its always nice to see ppl out with their kids enjoying this part of the platte
Very nice park clean water, there is an area where your kids can play, take a river tube if you want to have fun.
Its beautiful and gritty and the same time.
Really nice, well designed, and well maintained park on the banks of the river. Great for leisurely strolls, dog walking, and picnics. Not sure if you can canoe, didnt seem like it. Also has a good view of the Denver skyline.
Its beautiful and peaceful, my husband and I had lunch out there very peaceful.
Great spot to drink coffee and people watch.
How I didnt even know about this hidden gem eludes me, make sure to check it out!
Beautiful trails and water, I loved to ride the scooters with my darling and friends
Love this relaxing place. Usually theres lots of people riding bikes and skating but just so happened not today.
Great Denver Park. Perfect for parties picnics drumming and chilling. One of my favorite Denver parks!
There was so much to do here, and we didnt even see everything. Great place for the kids to play in there water and just have a good time. We also did the train ride, Wich was neat as well. That was the only thing we paid for, which was $5 for adults and$2 for children. Overall it was a pretty cheap family fun day
My favorite place to go but I shouldnt tell you this. Fresh stream, good rafting and nice beaches to sit
Nice trail close to city.
This my new happy place!
Awesome place, went on scooter ride thru platt river area,
Such a great park to watch the sunset and smoke a blunt. Love to see the vast amount of characters here because it ranges from all types of people
A beautiful place to spend the afternoon hanging out by the water
Beautiful place in the heart of Denver. This park was redone about two years ago and is much nicer than it was before. It can be sketchy after dark though.
Great to sit by the water, take pics, and ride the trolley
We loved it! Great place to spend time with the family .
Nice walking area, people seem to have fun by the little beach and falls.
Needs work. Plants overgrown, plants are ether missing or dieing, fountain non functional.
For those not familiar with the beauty of Colorado, this is a great place to start.
Busy, but great little walk and atmosphere
Beautiful place for shared evening time.
Really well maintained space. Dogs are allowed off-leash it seems. So far nothing but friendly dogs. Nice walk down to the river. Please do pick up your dog poop or trash if you see it. this Earth is everyones home and we all must do our best to pitch in and keep it clean. The Earth provides us with so much the best we can do is give back.
Beautiful. Very busy during the weekend but enjoyable nonetheless.
It a good place to go on bike rides with the kids and go for a swim
Lots of great people watching at CP. It was the turnaround point for the bike ride along the Cherry Creek. See Spoke-32 on Facebook for additional photos of the ride.
Great place for a stroll and to dip your feet on the rushing currents.
Nice place to to chill out and get your feet we
Great place to ride! You can ride up the Platte south, go north, or go south-east up the Cherry Creek Trail..
Great little urban park at the confluence of the South Platte River and Cherry Creek. Perfect for picnics, exercises, or just sitting on the grass and enjoying the views of downtown Denver.Last summer I went kayaking and now it is something I cannot imagine my life without. It wasnt easy at first, but when I gained some skills, I felt like the kayak is the safest and the most maneuver boat in the world.Just a beautiful place to relax and have a good time!
Beautiful and right on the middle of the city you get to enjoy Colorados beauty
Wonderful walk by the rivera
If you havent been there since all work was completed it is truly a center point of the city. Great end or start to your bike ride. It should bring a real boost to the local businesses. The locals should be protective and proud to have this beautiful place.
Great river to take dog to but has alot of trsh
Nice place the river was rushing through, people were actually Fly Fishing too. It was cool. I was blessed with fantastic weather too
This is a nice urban park right where the South Platte River and Cherry Creek converge, hence the name. The cascading water and the city skyline make for a postcard perfect scene. This place is quite historic too - its around this spot where early prospectors started looking for gold, triggering a gold rush that would mark the beginning of Denver as we know it. Really neat when you learn something new as you discover new places.
