Beautiful city park located right next to the Denver Zoo. Definitely recommend coming here for a nice long walk! Plenty of thing to do as well, the ponds are also nice to sit by and relax. It can definitely get busy on the weekends, but otherwise it’s not too bad. It’s also a blast to ride the scooters through the park as there are no cars allowed on the bigger roads. It’s fun! Also, almost everyone was wearing a mask! So bring one and stay safe!

Amazingly beautiful historical park that features Mr. Martin Luther King Jr!! Beautiful sunrises & sunsets! They rent all the various paddle boats & bikes you would expect at large park. Restrooms can use a little work but overall park is great for long walk, jog, picnic, paddle boating, biking, etc & if u got some extra cash; museum of nature & science is next door.

Review №3

A nice, multifunctional park in the geographic center of the city with a lot to offer. There is the Museum of Nature and Science taking up the west side of the park, there is a beautiful lake for the walkers and runners, a zoo for the young families and some tennis courts at the northwest corner. Lots of green spaces for people to enjoy.

Social Distancing at its Finest! I love the great outdoors and any day playing on the water is a great day for us! They have amazing rentals of paddleboards, kayaks, pedal swan boats and for the landlubbers you can rent multi-person bikes! All this and more is located in front of the boat house. For those of you with your own equipment, head to Denver. Gov Parks and rec and think about purchasing a season man powered boat craft permit for $20! You get access to five local park lakes around the City and county of Denver. Either way, its a great deal and a whole lot of fun to get outside!

This place is awesome. We loved all the open spaces and all the things to do. The sculptures by the denver history museum are a blast to play on while the baseball field are well maintained. And the views are are really amazing with some epic sunsets. We really loved this park and will go back as much as we can!!!!!

Simply amazing views. The pavilion peripheral had undesirable collateral debris from its apparent popularity at night: 3 left over beer bottles/cans, a straight edge razor blade, an empty plastic syringe, and questionable fluids in a corner. This activity could have been cleaned up for a safer experience, but with common sense curiosity, the view was worth it! The sidewalks, exterior gardens, and fountains were clean, and inviting. We had a great squatter pavilion and saw lots of Denverites enjoying the same !

I love City Park. I wish I still lived in Denver so I could visit more often. Spacious grassy areas/fields and paved paths. Most recently, I came to City Park to workout with Camp Gladiator. (Dont let the name scare you; they cater to all fitness levels.) The available space was plenty adequate which is a consideration for me during this time of social distancing. Not much shade where we were (off 23rd St, across from the back of the Museum), so wear sunscreen and bring your water.Do come for City Park Jazz events through the summer! Even if you dont think youll like the band, the food trucks and people watching are second to none. You can pack a picnic!

I love walking at City Park. There are many paths I can take, making every walk feel like an adventure. The lakes and ponds make it peaceful enough to contemplate and meditate. Next to the National Arboretum in Washington D.C., its my favorite city outdoor space. I am, however, concerned that many of the trees appear to be dying. I hope thats not the case.

I also enjoyed the employees that walked around with props so that you could feel the fur and skin of some of the animals.I just wish they would let you know when a display or pen is empty. That would have saved me time searching for animals that were not in their habitat.Loved the free parking.

This vast, beautiful park is an oasis in the city. There is a fountain for kids to splash in, and multiple lakes, playgrounds, and paths for walking and biking. Expansive lawns and mature trees are great for picnicking or playing games. There is even a lakesode pavilion you can rent for special occasions. The zoo and science museum border the park, and in summer City Park Jazz happens here! The only drawback is that for several months a year, the geese pollute the grass.
