Their annual holiday decorations and lightshow are magical. From the moment you enter the path, you’re transported onto a winter wonderland filled with colorful, sparkling lights with lots of nooks and crannies to take pictures. Every year, the massive display is tweaked to perfection and it’s such a treat to see the new exhibits they’ve set up. It’s truly a five-star experience with so much to take in. My favorites are the colorful glowing balls on the water. The water adds another beautiful dimension to the art. I also love the “light tunnel” synchronized to music as we stroll through it and the large field of synchronized lights to music near the entrance. It’s fun for all ages. This year, it was a very welcomed relief from the stress of the pandemic. For the hour I was there, I could smile again and have my heart filled with gratitude.

This is one of my favorite places in Denver, all seasons! Four of us went to Blossoms of Lights last night and it was magical! Such a lovely reprieve from Covid. Had a wonderful dinner at home with friends social distancing and celebrating then! Then walked around the twinkling gardens and had a delicious hot cocoa to warm up. Dont miss this event!!

This place was just so beautiful, pictures dont do it justice. I enjoyed the scenery and the peacefulness of it. We stopped by on a whim while we were in Denver. The online booking is simple and fast to use.Ticketing process was also very quick and easy. The ticket agent was helpful and enthusiastic. The grounds themselves are huge and beautiful. Its pretty crazy how many different things can grow in Colorado and there were a ton of blooms and bees. The buildings were closed (bummer, as I wanted to see the succulent/cactus house!), but overall there was a lot to see and enjoy. There were two art galleries open in the main building which were nice to stop and take a look at.Gift shop had a bunch of cute things, but we just grabbed a magnet for our collection. Was expecting plants for sale, which they did seem to have had a pickup for an online sale that we missed. We did not try the cafe within the gardens, but we did stop by Copper Door attached to the main building which was also fun and delicious.

An incredible, magical and breathtaking place. A must-see for an out of state visitor like myself. Its absolutely huge, you will need the better part of of a day if you want to enjoy everything. Its amazing to see all the different types of gardens they had in the middle of Denver. I walked around and photographed as much as I could. About 3 - 4 hours and 250+ photos later, and I could have stayed another 3 hours. Great place for a date, family trip, or spending time by yourself.Visited and photographed in May 2018

It was a very beautiful garden. They have 2 art exhibits that they just opened in their new building. It was great to see them. My favorite gardens were the romantic and Japanese gardens. It was a no-touch entry, easy parking, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. You must at least stop in the gift shop, its gorgeous and has a lot of special pieces within it!

If you enjoy wondering around outdoors and looking at nature, then this place is pretty nice. To go with the plants, etc., they also have a few nice sculptures, ponds and other photo ops.As of 10/2020, you must buy your entrance tickets ONLINE and show them the tickets either on your mobile device or printed paper.

What can I say that hasnt been already said? This place has to be seen to be believed. The diversity of plants from numerous different ecosystems is astonishing. The setting among intriguing brutalist architecture makes you feel as if youve been transported somewhere magical, far, far away. Theres simply no other place like it in Denver or anywhere.

I will start off saying we went in November when everything is dead, that being said, everything inside was closed. It took less than an hour maybe an hour if that to walk the entire place. If everything is closed inside I dont think they should be charging full price to walk somewhere you dont get to see anything. If you have a large family save yourself the time, more importantly the money. Definitely not worth it during this time of the year, you could walk at a park thats free and see the exact same thing. Im writing this review to hopefully save people money they could spend way more wisely, specially if they have a large family. The nicest thing we saw was the bathroom area(not kidding) .

There is a place to eat I side, we had dinner reservations so we didn’t eat here, but everyone there seemed to be enjoying their food. I imagine the pricing is a tad high as it normally is for places like this but I again did not get food from here so I cannot recall. Dont forget to occassionally pull your mask low enough to smell the flowers- its pleasant (because more oxygen ) and adds to your experience. Also, watch out for little mice- they are really running around out there . If you want a quick getaway from the city life without going too far, spend some time here.

A very well planned place with every type of garden for every kind of plant enthusiast. We visited in September and the spent perennials were trimmed, flowering Dahlias staked, and the annuals were taking over as the color display. Definitely worth a visit. The only suggestion I would provide is the need for more free standing signs that show a map of where you are in the park. The Covid has forced patrons to photograph a copy of the orientation site map showing a circulation plan that is mostly unrecognizable from what is on the ground. But its ok to just wander around in a circular pattern and hit just about every garden. The desert plants are encountered about the time we were thirsty and lo and behold there was a food station and bathrooms.

Our first time at Blossoms of Light, and our first time at the gardens. Considering people were suppose to be practicing social distancing we felt rushed going through because of how crowded some paths were getting and we could not just stop and look. It was our daughters birthday and she felt disappointed since we only took 30 minutes to see all the lights. We go to Zoo lights every year and wanted to try blossoms this year. Maybe if people didnt crowd skinny one way paths or rush up on us when we were trying to take a picture. A lot of my photos are blurred with having to move out of the way from people who were inpatient to get by. I think considering what we spent we will stick to Zoo Lights and see the gardens during the day.

We visited during the week and it was not crowded at all. We strolled and enjoyed taking our time. I imagine that it probably would be more lively during the spring and summer months, but we still thought most parts were beautiful. The gift shop had a wide selection of unique things, but I wish more items had “Denver Botanic Gardens” on them, so that I could have bought some souvenirs. I loved the painted canvas greeting cards, though. Overall, it was great and definitely worth the visit!

This place is just so beautiful and peaceful. We love to go early in the morning when they first open and walk around. My toddlers pick which direction to go and they love discovering what is hiding behind the next turn. We can bring in drinks and snacks which makes it one of the perfect places for us to spend a morning!!

You must register get a confirmation email, buy your ticket with a CC # no Paypal accepted, and keep your confirmation # because like everyone in front of me, we never got our E ticket on email. I would give it 5 stars because it is a fabulous and relaxing place, but some part of the park were closed for private events, the spectacular looking main greenhouse was closed to the public, same with the pyramid building and smaller pavillion like the tea house, It was October and the vegetation was beautifully over grown and lucious with that fall feel, its a great place to discover.

One of the best botanical gardens for showing both local and native plants and collections from around the world. One of my favourite aspects of Denver BG is the steppe/high plains sections as I have not found too many other gardens that display plants native to other very similar world regions in one area, as opposed to one conglomeration of sorts of typical prairie plants, for example. There was a childrens garden, rooftop garden which was quite something, Chihuly glass sculptures, the cottage-type house, a beautiful conservatory, bonsai collection and many other types of gardens on the outside of the place. They offer several free days per year, so I had the luck of visiting on one of those days, but they do normally charge an entrance fee. They have corresponding plant sales on those days as well, selling many plants that are suitable for the Front Range. Would highly recommend a visit if in the area, and I know I will take another visit here the next time I am in the Mile High City.

Extremely disappointing! I’ve been to the botanical gardens in San Antonio and St. Louis and this didn’t even come close in comparison. The size of the gardens was tiny. Moreover, all the vegetation was dormant or dead and nothing seemed to be manicured. I understand that we are in Fall, but that is still no reason to not maintain the landscape, and if all the vegetation is dormant, then close these areas off or close the entire garden. Additionally, there were minimal if any inside attractions to view. I understand if this is due to COVID measures, however patrons should not be charged when they are not provided the full viewing experience. At the very least, they should inform patrons of the limitations so they can make an informed decision on whether they should spend their money and visit the gardens. This sentiment was shared by many others visiting the gardens.
