Great mountain biking meant for more experienced riders. Fairly long trail with a lot of elevation changes with a good bit of steep trails we had to push our bike up. Great trail with lots of drops my son loved. Probably took us three hours with some play stops for jumping. There really isn’t a way to cut it short in the middle so plan your adventure accordingly. Highly recommended trail.Somewhat hard to find the entrance to the trail, it is right off the main road inside the gate. Have fin!

Pretty cool. Nice views. Cool trails. People with mountain bikes love it.The only bad thing is, im pretty sure drug users go up there to do drugs in their cars and felt unsafe with my kids running around.

Great place to visit and get a sense of what this land was like before the European people cut all the trees down. Found it by accident. Would have liked to have been a part of that great adventure! Nice small trail to walk.

This is a tough review to leave. This is a beautiful monument and the view is incredible. You can see Big Lake, watch the airplanes land and take off, and experience the history through educational signs. However, it is not well taken care of. There is so much trash. The trails are so overgrown they are not usable. The one open trail is great for mountain bikes but that makes it unsafe to hike.

Decided to check this place around lunch toaybe walk around, maybe see if morel mushrooms were in the area. However, I couldnt really find any good trail maps posted and the trails seemed pretty steep for a casual walk around. The views from the top of the plaza are amazing though. Id recommend going there just to see that, seeing downtown Omaha and the airport from a different perspective.

Beautiful overlook. It is also a nice place to walk. This is a big part of our rich heritage in Omaha and Council Bluffs.A bit hard to find. You may need your GPS. This beautiful spot is not well-kept. Trash all over the place. Having said that, if you are a visitor go see it. If you are a local and have never seen it, please do so.It is very much worth your time.

Great views and very nice flowy fun trails just outside of downtown Omaha. When I was there 2 days ago big lake park road was closed due to flooding, so I had to take an alternative route up there. There is still a lot of visible flooding from the overlook view as well.

Beautiful panoramic views of Omaha, miles upon miles of unmaintained trails, great ridge hike for those not interested in a jungle-like experience, natural cold springs are a great place to cool off when in summer, always an abundance of absolutely stunning wildflowers. This is my favorite place to connect with nature in Council Bluffs.

I will not return to this park. There were cars and people there playing loud crazy music and people just hanging out in the parking lot. The whole experience made me so uncomfortable as I was walking around that I almost ran back to my car and jumped in and left. I have not ever felt that unsafe in an area park and being new to the Omaha area, wondered if this was a place where drug deals went down. I hope it was just an off day, but I dont recommend this one for those that travel alone. I have an 80 lb. dog that explores with me and I feared for both of our safety.
