One of the best veterans memorials I have seen in the country. Was great to see so many different wars and people honored in this park. The War Dog statue was top notch! Saw a few homeless people taking up shelter in the park so hopefully that doesnt dissuade others from seeing this wonderful place.

The park is well maintained and the monuments quite impressive. The time period for the monuments is WWI thru the Korean War. Included is an impressive holocaust monument. The only detriment to the park is a few too many homeless people.

Nice little park, a few homeless found lounging around, but well maintained with porta johns and water and soap station.

This is a really pretty park. The memorials are beautiful and high quality, and the landscaping is delightful. Unfortunately, there was a lot of trash around, and it smelled like one of the monuments had been desiccated. It was really infuriating to see memorials for our countrys soldiers ruined by disregard. I am sure that people try to maintain it well, and I just came on a bad day.

Very nice memorials in this park. A little hard to find but worth seeing. Really sad though that several homeless men were sleeping on or near several statues and someone actually defecated behind one. Unacceptable!

The park could use better grooming techniques and the homeless that sleep there. I found a used condom by an isolated statue I had to pull my dog away from trying to eat. That was disgusting. Please help to do your part and clean up the park. Our Veterans deserve better.

A wonderful park in honor of so many. Sadly, you will see, rarely approached by, many homeless, as Columbia is a great place for homeless assistance and those assistance locations are nearby.

The park has monuments for a lot, if not all, of the military conflicts that South Carolina has been involved in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. The monuments are really neat and the park is well laid out. Theres plenty of free parking as well. However, while walking through the WWI trench, we came across a homeless persons camp site, complete with a urine-soaked cardboard mat, several empty 40s, and a huge smelly pile of human feces. It ruined the experience for me.

Very shady people. Be careful taking children. I could smell dope and there were several homeless sleeping in the grass. There was a lot of arguing and fighting going on.

Great landscaping and beautiful memorials. The Holocaust memorial was particularly moving. The WW1 and Korean War memorials were also exceptional. I recommend visiting there if your a Columbian or just someone visiting the city. There was no one there when I went (except a guy I assume was a city employee), which made me slightly uneasy. Go there in the middle of the day. I also noticed a case of vandalism at the WW1 memorial.

This place is pretty small, but some of the memorials are cool. There were lots of dogs there, some unleashed, so its definitely dog friendly.

Nice place for a walk and to memorialize but be prepared for the homeless people who no longer ask for spare change. Now its Can I get a couple of dollars to get something to eat? And this park is literally located within blocks of two homeless facilities and numerous places that provides them with free meals.

Saw the solar eclipse of 2017 here. I fully expect that everyone that comes to this park will have an identical experience. If you go here and dont have a 100% identical experience, contact me and I will support you when you take the matter to court or my name isnt some guy who wrote a review on the internet.
