Quiet peaceful sitting area right in the middle of downtown Columbia. City Life rolling with a little piece of heaven with Functioning modern abstract designed fountain with wishing well to make your wishes come true. Charging ports for phones and laptops. Good place to work or study, and eat with friends or business partners. If you have kids, there is a childrens area shaded by trees. With a turf covered area Incase you want to lay back...

Beautiful urban setting in the heart of downtown, esp on 1st Thursdays.

Awesome place to just hang out

This is a perfectly designed public space for eating lunch outside after walking, and shopping along Main Street. Plenty of chairs, tables and grassy areas too. Perfect area for various types of events too. Great for families to lounge around with public art pieces as centerpieces. A really nice fountain to sit under, fitting for clearing your mind from a long day of work.

The redone space is wonderful for hanging out and having a snack Frome the Soda City Market.

The architecture is impressive. A wonderful place to spend some time in the city. This area is always well maintained and clean.

Wonderful open space. This area outside of the Columbia Museum has been totally redone and the result is great. Open tables to sit or have lunch, read, work, etc. Its also a NON SMOKING space.

Finally we got some tables... a good place to eat (the food that you buy from the vendors at soda city) enjoi it and relax.

Columbia Museum of Art offered yoga on the plaza and a tour themed Balance. Really enjoyed my time here.

It was easy to walk around with my friends and family. Even though there was a protest going on, nothing threatening was happening and the protesters were very open and willing to educate without being rude or rough. The Brazilian Steak house was great but the frozen yogurt place was disgusting. Do not eat at TCBY. Gross.

Very nice place with a museum to explore. Experienced the total solar eclipse there. It was an amazing experience. There were free solar eclipse glasses and ice cream given to viewers

Really nice after the reno

Best plaza. But look out for mockingbirds. They have nests in those trees and will dive bomb you straight up. I used to leave quarters down by those nests so people would stop to pick them up and get attacked.

Boyd Plaza is a lovely square located on Main Street in front of the Museum of Art. During the winter, they put an ice rink here which is perfect for a date night out.

While visiting Columbia we stayed at the Marriott hotel across the street. Our entire evening was ruined by the obnoxious and hideous music being played at the Boyd Plaza. The music was so loud we could hear it in our hotel room on the 7th floor. The city of Columbia should be ashamed to allow the general public to be abused in this manner.
