Wonderful place to rent if your going to school at UofM or the other schools that are near here.

Great and helpful staff. The community is like a slice of heaven on earth. Its surrounded by lakes, parks and an in ground pool!

I love this place I been leaving here for over 4 years and I’m so happy here, Everyone is really nice and The people at the office are very friendly and kind, the maintenance people are very nice too Im so Glad to live here

They will have your car towed from in front of your home in the middle of the night all the way to Livonia and make you pay $450 to get your car back.. meanwhile asking you to stain your porch during winter... and on top of that your neighbor is busy busting out every other cars window (including yours) in the neighborhood... I do not recommend living here. Stay as far away as possible.(Edit)Another addition to the towing comment... the towing company that took my car at 1 am is a sketchy company labeled “wasthenaw towing company” in google but is called something completely different in reality. Told me to pick my car up at a sketchy location (nothing showing it’s a tow place) took them 20 minutes to arrive. I say on the phone that they have a really sketchy place they are running (me thinking someone could have just stolen my car saying they are a towing company) not saying anything really provocative or rude. and then they proceeded to threaten to call the police on me for being on private property when I was standing outside in front of the building they told me to wait at.... they also told me they didn’t have to give me my car because it’s not business hours when they didn’t indicate that at all in the phone call and immediately told me to meet them when I told them about my car, during the phone call... so overall got my car stolen from in front of my house, got threatened and had to pay $450 to get my car back and drive 30 plus minutes back home.... coulda chosen a better towing company that was closer by but I guess that’s just my opinion......

I would not recommend anybody to move in this Mobile Home Park they raise the rent every year this year I got a letter they raise the rent $25 were paying way too much what the park is no security please dont have permission two police in this park pretty sad for the money we paid I checked at a mobile home park in Saline west side of saline at Michigan Ave in Austin Road and they are much cheaper and you dont have to pay for your water and its a very nice part if they would accept my mobile home then the park I would move it without a doubt its my opinion no security at night in this park Street lighting sucks if youre looking to move into Mobile Home Park dont look at this one unless you like your rent go up every year and get nothing back in return corporate that owns the part they suck Rose needs to be repaved they patch here patch there makes the park looks like its a ghetto come and check it out yourself closely you know what Im talking about

They dont keep up the place

Living here we had no problem with the neighborhood it was fairly quiet which was GREAT best place I’ve stayed in Ypsilanti AND the power never went out due to storms. Moving out was a different story we put a 600 deposit down but what they don’t tell you is that 200 if that is a non refundable admin fee; so I was annoyed with that the trailer was very nice though it definitely needed new carpet in all areas that had carpet, and the people that do maintenance and building stuff are AMAZING they are so nice. I was in the living room and they cleaned my whole trailer that day another company I believe does that! I think it’s for people who are renting and not owning tho; we accidentally left our doors unlocked and one time the wind blew the doors wide open and no one went in our home everything was always there and we always had our windows open. The people in the office area were okay we didn’t call there much for anything ; we never got a pool pass to the pool to go swimming though. So can’t tell you what the pool area was like ;

Would not recommend this park on my worst enemy. I have lived here 16 yrs (own my own mobile home). Sun Communities has turned this park into primarily a rental community.Homes are rented monthly and even then, the rental residents skip out after trashing the homes. The police patrol the home nightly due to high crime and annually raid at least one home for drug activity. I watched a SWAT team close my road one morning to raid one! My car is not even safe parked in the public lots due to vandalism!Dont move here... if I could move, I would in a heart beat!

I’m not happy with the way they treat the residence at Lakeview mobile home park so my wife had surgery On her wrist just after our son is born. We told them that we we’re playing catch up on bills and we will get the majority of the rent paid and told us that we would be fine but then we get a letter in the mail saying that we owe this much money and if we don’t have it paid by certain time that we have to leave the premises this was last months rent so on that note then we got charged a $55 late fee which they dropped because we got all our rent paid on time for last month so then we pay this months rent within a five day leeway because that’s what they tell us. and then they decide they want to Charge us last months late fee with this month’s late fee which is 110 now even if we paid our rent on time. and then they wanna threaten us with a court order if we don’t have the late fee paid by December 12 so I already called the leasing office I hope they call me back but this is the worst place to live I recommend nobody lives here. And when my friend lived in the mobile home park the office forced My friend to trash all the stuff that he had in his yard but he ended up getting evicted anyways which was pointless. He did with the mobile home park asked and they just didn’t listen or care

Havent seen the inside of a unit, as of yet, but, the park itself is presentable enough, as well as simple enough to navigate through. Puddles form at the entrance, fairly often though.

I moved into this community October 2018. Ever since then the management has given me a citation for the skirting, and various other things to do with the trailer. I was given this trailer by a friend and he had it for 10 yrs and he said they Never harrased him for nothing and the skirting was the same. I signed up for the e pay portal and I have a $0.00 balance due. Today I come home from work to a 24 he eviction notice. This eas the worst place I have Ever livdd and I m from Detroit. I feel like I have been singled out and discriminated against. Talk to an attorney. My lot rent is paid. You need to check your portal.

Man I hate the staff here. The trailers great but almost not worth it. First off, it took me 3 months after applying to move in because they kept telling me they didnt have anything but we will soon. Maintainence is a joke. Put in two maintainence orders when I moved in, then never heard another word about them until 4 months later when I reminded them about them. They gave me a 48 hour notice to mow my lawn, then 24 hours later they did the worst cut Ive ever seen and tried to charge me $35 for it, even though I had a note telling them not to cut it. hey sent me a bill for TV removal for a TV thats still in my driveway. The staff is the most unorganized company Ive ever seen.

Swimming with my grandson Jayden in this 90° weather was the most fun & best memories from this summer 2016 so far. Love this pool, not crowded what so ever, everyone is layed back not to loud, no rude peeps, its just perfect....

My porch was falling apart from the time I moved in a leek in the bedroom window from the day I moved to the day I moved out my bottom locks on both doors wouldn’t lock I Also payed my rent they told me I didn’t but let me stay for three months and put me and my children on the street i couldn’t find one receipt I was charged 800 for paint I wouldn’t recommend anyone move I’m definitely takin them to court

Bad sucks I lived there for years used to be ok but now nope will not go back the management is horrible and changes like almost every year then when you try to contact the main office in southfield michigan they talk and treat you like trash act like they dont no what ypur talking about and then basically hang up on you and never call back then when you do call them back because they wont return your call you can talk to the same person and they will act like they never even heard from you and also the park is getting worse with break ins and crime and robberies and vandalism to more than you can think of i really never leave a bad review but I DO NOT RECOMMEND LIVING THERE

I like it here. I come from the other side of ypsi and I can say that I dont stress about shootings and crap like that. I feel its a safe place for my kids but I still keep them at eye view. We have security camera and security on our home but thats just there for Xtra cautious incase someone from prison escapes .lol. Im still new here but I feel its a safer place for my kids to live, shooting wise. But parents please watch your kiddos, I see kids running around and I would hate to hear some creep got ahold of them. My kids complain that Im to over protective, but I refuse to be one of those parents on the news and I love my kids way to much to lose them. One last Important thing, we need to have storm shelters here. Family should always come first. Our safety is Important.

Cant believe how poorly they let people keep their properties if I was the manager there it surely wouldnt look like that its a shame to watch such nice establishments go downhill hopefully they can get some new management in there that might make somebody clean up the Messes in their yard and have better information regarding the trailers that are empty and for sale

DO NOT RENT OR BUY HERE! The landlords are terrible, the residents are thieves, and the houses are terrible quality. I moved into a house that was built in the early 2000s and it had an extreme ant issue due to the windows terrible conditions. They were in my cabinets, in my food, in my clothes, in my babys room. I threatened them for a month and dealt with the maintenance man tell me to get a big can of raid and just spray before they came to fix the problem. Mind you, I was 5 months pregnant when he told me to spray raid around my food. Then after a good rain, the ants came back and I was told that they wouldnt spray again, it was my problem now. They managed to jack a $30 water bill to $455 with late fees and court fees for months without ever notifying me then tried to evict me the month before I was supposed to deliver. I would NEVER in my life recommend this place to anyone EVER again. Worst year of my life.*Update: In my last couple of months renting, I reported a leak in my bathroom. One toilet wouldnt stop running because some flapper was broken. But I waited too late to report it, so my water bill was pretty high ($90ish) which I paid because I should have called sooner. Then a couple of weeks later, my second toilet started leaking but it was leaking inside the house from the pipes. I immediately called and reported this. Nobody ever came out to look at it. The water ended up damaging the floors and we were unable to even use the bathroom anymore. So in my last month, I get a $500 water bill. I immediately call the office to tell them that theres something wrong with my bill and she tells me, No, thats the correct bill. Of course I told them that I refused to pay it when not only was my water bill normally nothing over $35-$40, but I had reported an active leak more than a month prior to. They said theyd have someone (Guess who that was? Same guy that told me to spray raid around my food while pregnant) come look at the meter and pipes to see if anything was wrong. I never heard back until AFTER I had moved out. AndI had to call them. I had to call almost every other day to try to speak to the park manager, I was never able to get her. Finally, she decides shell email. They told me that there was nothing wrong with the house, the pipes, or the meter. Which is insane because theres clear water damage in the 2nd bathroom. I immediately called Sun Home Communities corporate office to find out my total bill with them. Guess what? $2500 bill. For painting (we never painted in the house), broken drawers and cabinets (all that were broken before we moved in), holes in the walls (holes that were there before we moved in), that $500 water bill, and other smaller charges. I worked my way up to the VP, filed a complaint, and got all of the fees voided. Apparently the park manager was contacted and admitted that they should have never charged me for any of the things that they did. So I repeat DO NOT RENT OR BUY HERE!

Years ago it was a great place to live, was well managed and kept up. Now they rent and rent to anyone and not a great place to live.
