We got married here in 2010, and loved this sweet little park. We came back for our anniversary this October, ten years later, and fell in love with its beauty even more. It has only become more beautiful, peaceful, and serene over time. This is the perfect place for a small ceremony or a picnic! We used Orlando Picnic to celebrate our anniversary here, and I can’t recommend them enough. It doesn’t get more dreamy than this location. 10/10 I highly recommend.
Gods creation is so beautiful !!!! Thankful for the previous and current generations who worked hard to established and preserve this beautiful peaceful place for all of us to enjoy. Please dont underestimate each of our BIG part in contributing to preserve its beauty. Im a mother of three young ones and I know how hard if not impossible it is to be out in nature and aware of their actions and behavior... But please instill kindness and respect and appreciation for mother nature in them, we can leave a much more beautiful mark behind, than the one of our name being scribbled on the trees...
Beautiful place for any occasion. Just don’t understand the outrageous charge for the columns. It’s a public park but they wanna charge you $350 to rent out the space for 2 hours!
Nice quiet park. The tall cypress trees and open spaces are good for a relaxing stroll in the shade. Good for short visits or a quiet picnic on a blanket. Partial views of the lake. Plenty of benches near the water.On-leash pets only, no bathrooms, no pavillions, no playgrounds/sports, only about a dozen parking spots.Likely intended for use by immediate neighbors within walking/biking distance.
Shaded by giant cypress trees, the Kraft Azalea Garden is a delightful place to escape from the world for a few minute, for a picnic, or to read a book. Nestled back in a quiet Winter Park neighborhood, and on the shores of Lake Maitland, this garden provides great views of the surrounding lake and areas. The garden is both a great photo spot, think engagement and wedding photos, as well as a quick reboot spot if you need some nature therapy.
Beautiful little hideaway. Docks to stroll, Romanesque columns for photos and lots of water. Bonus bathrooms. Rowing dock fire teams and site of several regatta. Hidden gem. Small but worth a stroll.
Me and the hubby took our engagement photos here!! They came out beautifully . Nice park for picnic as well.
Gorgeous park! Love all the beautiful, tall trees that cover this park in shade. Great for photographers. SO MANY photographers here. (It was a tiny bit stressful trying to keep our kids from running into all the photos that were being taken in every corner of the park.)
Very nice park. Its on a lake in winter park. Nice areas to walk around and soak in the scenery!
This is a great place to spend part of your day if youre looking to get away from the busiest locations in Orlando. Its a small park where you can take a walk, rest, take pictures or just relax and breathe some fresh air. It wasnt very crowded, we just went for a walk and spent about an hour in there. Beautiful trees and has great views to the lake.
Absolutely beautiful. A little nook of heaven in Orlando. Relax and watch nature and the day flow by.
This place is perfect for a first date. Or your wedding day. Must see
So Lovely. Bet its even Better when the Azaleas are in bloom!
Small and beautiful park with amazing scenery. My only complaint is that there arent many parking spaces. Since its a very popular photography location, this is a major downfall.
As a very stressed college student, I usually forget the importance of stoping for a second and just breathing in the moment. This place has truly helped me to reconnect with myself, to stop and let the beauty refresh the spirit, just as the beautiful columns say on the middle piece of this Park. It was my discovery of the week to be honest, a tiny gem in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of Winter Park, this place has a great view to the lake, a bunch of places to sit and relax or just take pictures. Its a cute spot for a date but dont get discouraged if youre solo, cause its a great point to enjoy your own company.Theres place to park in the entrance, but it can get busy whenever theres a wedding or a photoshoot. I loved that there was a spot for my bike! Please dont miss out this little piece of peace, its just lovely.
Located on the shores of Lake Maitland, Kraft Azalea Garden is definitely a place for those who like to take a stroll in the nature. Surrounded by the plush green trees and the waves of Lake Maitland makes it a perfect place to spend some time with your friends and family. The park is open everyday from dawn to dusk. Loved the place!!
Not very big, but a great place to find some peace by the lake. Calm trees, benches and the occasional cormorant make this a little oasis in the city.
Beautiful park. We went to take fall photos and it was very scenic and not too busy.
It was a hot summer day, but the shade of the trees and the breeze from the lake made our time there bearable. This park is nestled among lavish homes and beautiful trees and azaleas. Also, a great photo spot.
This is a beautiful small garden right along Lake Maitland. We took our dog to get some nice photos outside. Many people there were getting professional photographs taken. The park itself is very small- but the scenic views of the lake are absolutely breathtaking. I can see why so many people were getting their photos taken there.
I hit the jackpot when I decided to check out this park before leaving Orlando. The park is beautiful, well-kept, fresh and relaxing with ample amount of shade. The park is right by a lake, with dock for rowing/kayaking.The houses in the vicinity are impressive - I recommend a walking tour around the area, especially Palmer street.
Kraft Azalea Garden is a beautiful park along Lake Maitland. Perfect for a morning stroll, picnic, or photographs. Its a relatively small park, but the surrounding neighborhood is also beautiful and an excellent place to run, walk, etc.
Picturesque park and lake. Plenty of shady benches, free parking, water fountain, classic picture spot with pillars under the trees. Safe for family and good for a romantic walk or picnic.
Very beautiful park. Very peaceful and relaxing with beautiful cypress trees and paper trees on lake Maitland
Clean, small park with plentiful trees with Spanish moss. Came here on a Saturday, probably not the best day to go. There were too many photographers taking baby pics, pregnant woman pics, multiple bridesmaids and wedding entourage groups. It was tough to just peruse and enjoy the place, because each photographer and group were staking the best scenery spot. Otherwise the park itself is small, but nice and quiet.
Visit this place when Im in Winterpark in the early Spring. I love how the egrets gather here in the trees to mate and nest. Their mating dances are cute. Beautiful birds.
A hidden gem in Winter Park, Kraft Azalea gardens is a marvelous place to relax and enjoy nature. Even though it’s rather small, it has unique and giant trees and plants. The views of the lake are also fantastic! The parking can be tricky specially on weekends since it’s a popular spot to take wedding/engagement pictures.
Gorgeous place. Peaceful, nature at its finest, great views, not overcrowded at the right times, remote, surrounded by luxury homesteads. A dock to look out over the water. Plenty of people watching to do. Definitely recommended.
Very lovely park with azalias and fabulous trees. It is fantastic for bird watching, having many Egret, Heron, and Cormorant nests in trees. Cars may get bombarded by the birds, so get there early and park in a non white spot. Many signs warn of alligators in the area, so take care that children and dogs stay clear of the shoreline. Have a blast in this wonderful little Park!
One of the nicest, most secluded, hidden gems in the heart of Winter Park. It overlooks a lake and is great for sunrise and especially sunset. It is a great place to get engaged, take pregnancy photos, and even get married at either the bridge with the water fountain, the semi-circular coliseum, or the wooden dock. Not to mention all the cool very tall trees and the beautiful flowers that bloom in the Spring. Dogs on leashes are welcome, but beware there are a lot of squirrels they will want to chase.
The best kept secret in Winter Park and one of our only lakefront parks.
Beautiful magnificent trees. Just wished it was bigger so you could go for a nice brisk walk like Lake Eola.
I want to start by saying how amazing the people who work for winter park are. Ron and his team are people who care and pay attention to peoples requests. After organizing our dream wedding and having to cancel we decided we still wanted to follow through with getting married. Me and my wife had such a hard time finding a venue with COVID. Ron and his team understood our troubles and decided to let love take place in the garden. The day of we had a park Ranger making sure we had the time and space cleared for the ceremony and it went perfect. My wife was so happy on how beautiful this garden is and the views with the Exedra make it a unique place to get married. Thank you Ron and the city of winter park for helping make our wedding happen.
I loved it . Its peaceful and takes you away from all of the worlds problems you should go .
Gorgeous place. Very popupar to go and take. Pictures.
I nice quiet place to relax, read, etc. Plenty of benches and parking.
Beautiful place, its very relaxing. Its a good choice to take a walk, read a book or just sit and relax.
Absolutely beautiful place. Very small, not much parking. Feela prehistoric.
A small park with the most amazing grove of cypress. Not sure if it’s technically a “grove” or maybe a “stand of cypress” either way it’s a neat enough area to admire these beautiful trees. The location on a rounded point in the lake make the short walk around beautiful at every glance, Starr or look.Easy parking.Fish off the dock here.Great photo shoot spot.
Beautiful place with a very peaceful atmosphere. Great for a small ceremony and awesome pictures.
Very beautiful, quiet, scenic waterfront garden
Beautiful peaceful spot for a walk and a picnic.
We got married here 30 years ago. Seems like yesterday
Beautiful scenery and the peaceful surroundings let you let go of the world for awhile.
Great time for a picnic with the family and a light walk on a lazy afternoon, the park is taken care of well and you can tell the neighborhood is a community it the truest sense.
Perfect little lunch outing with the kids. Scenic, wildlife, structures, fountains, public restrooms, benches and easy parking.
Its really pretty but a lot smaller than it looks in the photos
I was married here on a hot July 21, 1985 afternoon. It is a beautiful, serene park. The Greek columns make for a perfect wedding setting. Its Winter Parks best kept secret!
Stopped here during a Kayak trip. There was a shore we could pull our kayaks up on. Is a great place to watch the sunset. One person big clean bathroom. Very small park. Big beautiful cypress trees. Very shady park.
Small calming patch of beautiful cypress trees, banyan tree, the iconic Exedra Monument (semi-circle Roman architecture) all by a lake. Photographers often come to this public garden. You will see many couples having their pictures taken. You’ll love this place if you want a bit of peace and quiet, picnicking, taking pictures, or maybe even meditating.I have no pictures of all the beauty I saw, so you’ll have to see Winter Park’s garden gem for yourself.
Small but nice place to take some photos or relax.
Gorgeous and picturesque spot for a picnic or a quiet walk. I stop by here any chance I get
This is a pretty little spot in a wonderful neighborhood right by the lake. Its a great place for a photo shoot or even just a walk. There columns are a nice place to sit or take pictures. We went on the winter and the flowers were not in bloom but when the namesake Azaleas are out Im sure its even more beautiful.
Very relaxing place great for pictures
Definitely a nice, peaceful place to visit and take a small stroll around. Lots of trees to keep cool in the shade and beautiful scenery all around.
Quiet and very nice place, sit down and look at the lake, just relax and enjoy
Beautiful little park, I recommend visiting during sunset!
Love it. Is a quiet place if you wanna bring a partner for a picnic.. and is good too to take any tips of pictures
Absolutely beautiful location to shoot photos, enjoy a lake breeze or let the kids romp and play. The grounds are gorgeous, and there were several bird-watching photographers and portrait photographer there during our visit. I would give it 5 stars, but there is very little parking available, and the bathrooms smell horrible.
A peaceful lakeside park with some REALLY magnificent specimens of bald cypress. And many late afternoon visits present an opportunity for spectacular sunsets.
Such a pretty park! Great place to launch kayaks/paddle boards.
Beautiful little park. Home to lots of birds and on the lake
Quiet, shady place to see the lake.
A wonderful place to take a stroll, enjoy the nesting birds and enjoy a little bit of natural beauty.
Hidden Park in nice area with a lot of tree, good shade, seats, a small water fountain, wedding pictures spot and a huge lake. Parking not to big.
Good for photos bad for seasonal allergies
Peaceful, amazing trees and beautiful.
Did family pictures here once! A beautiful place to take photos and relax.
Nice little park in the middle of the city. The trees provided a lot of shade, and there were a few people who were walking around enjoying the breeze and the view. Just remember, this is ON the water, so theres a likelihood you could see a gator or two, or maybe a snake.
Lovely, atmospheric waterfront park.
Lovely place, so wonderfull..!!
Absolutely beautiful park on the river front
Come here to take your family photos. Beautiful location.
So beautiful n peaceful. The best place to kayak.
Gorgeous garden in the middle of a secluded neighborhood filled with beautiful homes. There is a beautiful dock, lots of tall trees, and beautiful pillars, perfect for a photoshoot. Great place to take a stroll and watch the sun rise/set!
I am obsessed with Kraft Azalea. The trees are gorgeous and perfect for a spring picnic or hammock adventure. I have enjoyed countless peanut butter sandwiches beneath these trees, corn hole games, jogs down the gravel path, and even got engaged in this beautiful park. I find any excuse I can to jog past and catch a view of the lake. Absolutely my favorite place in Winter Park!
One of my favorite parks. Its beautiful, tranquil, overlooks a lake and has some super cool trees. Look for the gnarly one!
It is quite, not crowded but humid place. Lizards on the benches and everywhere, but still a very nice place at the lake. No cafe, actually no shops around.
Beautiful quiet place for a nice little leisurely stroll.
I love this place! Its peaceful, clean, and spirited. Great for romance or meditation.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL park! My wife and I had our first date there over 20 years ago. Its still OUR park to this day!
They do need more parking spots!I personally love this place. Its one of my favorite weekend morning getaways!
Beautiful park and great views. Park bathrooms needed some attention.
A friend brought me here to show where they got married at. I COULD GET DIVORCED JUST TO GET MARRIED HERE AGAIN!! Absolutely stunning natural beauty right on the water! Im in love. ️️️
Beautiful spot for a small spring wedding.
Absolutely beautiful. And the neighborhood around the park creates plenty of envy...But only in a good way.
Great Place for Professional Pictures Beautiful Backgrounds
This is my favorite spot in the city! The quote on the beautiful colosseum arch that looks over Lake Maitland --- and what a view! --- describes it all in one sweet benevolent sentence, Pause friend, let beauty refresh the spirit.
This place was fantastic. It was quite nice and cozy. I would certainly suggest this park to the travelers who come to Orlando.
Great place to take my granddaughters every year and let the learn about nature and to climb on their favorite Twisted Tree!
This small yet beautiful park is perfect for picnicking, photos, reading a book, or playing frisbee.
