This museum showcases and illustrates all of Tiffany’s works it would be nice if they did one for Clara Driscoll I believe the museum is very beautiful and displays Tiffany’s works very well with illustrations and explanations of his work. I don’t care for the pottery area nor the craftsman area I believe those areas should be opened up to new American artists in glass and showcase their works. There should also be a larger area of ancient Roman glass showing the past in the present and in between. The one big area I was really disappointed in and I’ve been to this museum several times is the chapel it needs to be lit more to showcase all the mosaics and the chandelier which is one of Tiffany’s greatest works. I love this museum I want it to progress forward and show the new works some of our great artists that we have here in United States
Amazing Museum to visite. Tottaly secure on this pandemic time.
This museum is absolutely incredible! This is the third time Ive been here in three years and I still see things that I didnt notice the last time. Tiffanys work is amazing and the collection they have here will absolutely blow you away!
Incredible display of Louis Comfort Tiffany items from incredible lamps to pottery to an entire chapel Tiffany designed for the Chicago worlds fair. Nicely designed and beautifully lit so the glass shines to its fullest extent.
A treasure. The museum is world class collection of stained glass, rare pottery and jewellery by Louise Comfort Tiffany. There is also a variety of other American arts and artists. The price for admission is very reasonable.
Filled with such beautiful artwork. The painting, sculptures, and especially the stained glass are all so unique and gorgeous, I couldve spent the whole day there if I didnt have other things to do! Heads up no food or drink allowed, I had to chug my coffee in the courtyard. They offer student discount with a student ID, I think others too but youd have to confirm on the website.
Great Museum. This is a diamond in the Rough if your visiting the area please slip through. It is worth the trip. Plan 1 hour to 2 hours or more to soak it all in. I was froze in the chapel for 10 minutes.
The Morse Museum located in Winter Park Florida is a wonderful place to view the art of Louis Comfort Tiffany. There are many rooms showing his works including Tiffany Lamps, windows and sculptures. The Chapel is magnificent and Holy. There are rooms from his house showing his detailed glassworks. Great value for little cost. $6; $5 for Seniors. Parking lot behind museum.
Great place to see American art.
Beautiful place to spend your time admiring the great collection of Tiffany glass and art in general, reasonable priced... it is a fabulous museum with the showing parts of the house destroyed by fire, the reconstructed chapel, I admired the door before the chapel, thinking it was woodwork, but is a beautiful metalwork... jewelry is beautiful mixing up glass and precious metals... even the little desk at the entrance used by the security personnel is a little master piece... enjoy and take your time admiring everything this place has to offer..
I have lived in Orlando almost my entire life. I love museums and go to as many as I can while on vacation. Normally, I go straight to the Orlando Museum of Art but this past Saturday, I decided to check out the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art in Winter Park Florida. The Morse museum has one of the worlds largest collection of artwork by Louis Comfort Tiffany. There are a total of 6 exhibits at the museum and every exhibit is worth checking out. Do not miss the Tiffany chapel which is simply breathtaking. At $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $1 for students, and free for kids, the Morse museum is a bargain. Be prepared to spend at least an hour or longer if you want to have enough time to enjoy all the hidden treasures the Charles Morse Museum of American Art has to offer.
Friendly, informative staff. Fabulous displays of the best of the best art nouveau glass, metal and wood. Great stories, photos and objects from Laurelton Hall.
What a beautiful Museum! This is a must-see for any lover of Art and architecture were those who love beautiful things. The museum shop was perfect to get gifts and unique items. Membership is very reasonable and certainly worth supporting. Photos do not do justice. Must be seen in person.
When you hear the name Tiffany, the first thing that comes to your mind is the blue boxes and the New York collection of diamonds and jewelry; however, and even though not as popular as the jewels, one member of the same family, Louis Comfort Tiffany, is the author of an endless collection of glass that is part of the international Arts and Crafts movement that defined a whole era in the decorative and fine arts between 1880 and 1920’s. Aside from being located in Winter Park, a MUST if you visit Orlando, and a beautiful area to walk through, the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum holds the largest collection of Tiffany’s work, including the Tiffany Chappel from 1893, that was salvaged from Laurelton Hall, the residence of the artist, along with a great amount of Tiffany’s work after the house burned almost to the ground in a fire in 1957. I have to say that, when visiting Orlando with a limited amount of time, it was absolutely worth it to make this historical stop over visiting any amusement parks in town. I also want to add that, on top of a mind-blowing walk through the museum, the store is amazing and a great source of unique and elegant gifts and souvenirs from your trip. I recommend this place 100% as a must stop during your visit to Orlando.
This is an amazing place, filled with the works of Louis Comfort Tiffany, as well as others. Tiffany stained glass is exquisite. The colors, textures, how the light plays behind ... Grapes, flowers, water, maidens, religious scenes, and more. Plus Tiffany’s jewelry and paintings. The chapel. This place is more than well worth a visit.
A beautiful, small museum noted for its Tiffany collection. An exhibit showing the history of art pottery was wonderful as was the Tiffany designed chapel. Well worth a visit.
Ive been here several times already, and I never get tired of it.. beautifully curated, friendly staff, clean, well air conditioned building.. and theres new things sometimes, which I love. A must see for any art or history lover
Loved it! Worth the visit.
Are you kidding me? Visit this place.. fantastic
The museum hosts a breath-taking collection of Tiffany glass artworks. The pieces are beautiful, exquisite, and impressive. The museum is not large but spacious. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It would take about 1-2 hours to see everything. Parking is free onsite. It is not crowded at all.The museum has two wonderful educational video about Tiffany and Morse, as well as Winter Park’s history.
Incredibly gorgeous museum, wonderful staff, actually great gift shop
A beautiful museum that encourages relaxation. This museum celebrates the work of Louis Comfort Tiffany. Some rooms replicate his former home. Sit down and enjoy the art and views. We took our time and filled the day. There isnt a cafe but Panera Bread is across the street. Keep your wrist band on for rentry to the museum.
The museum has some beautiful piece of Tiffany artwork and magnificent stained glass. The chapel and its story is awesome. Be sure to watch the films they offer before viewing the museum.
The best collection of Louis Comfort Tiffany glass art. His dining room has been re-created in the museum. Also has some furniture he designed with intricate inlays. Highly recommend you visit.
Great little museum. Tiffany Art and small special exhibit makes for a focused experience. The reconstructed Tiffany chapel from the 1893 Worlds Columbian Exposition worth the trip alone. Highly recommend this collection.
If you are visiting the Orlando area this is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. Amazing collection of Tiffany glass, not just lamps, but also gorgeous windows, and dont miss the chapel. There are also some paintings, furniture, and items of jewelry on exhibit. There is an interesting tour that is included with the price of admission which is very reasonable. $5.00 for seniors, $7.00 for adults, not a place I would recommend for small children. Great gift shop, as with most gift shops prices are high but the selection is wonderful. There is a parking lot in the back which you might not be aware of if you were not told and finding parking on the street is difficult. There are many small shops and places to eat within walking distance from the museum.
Excellent museum. Focus on Louis Tiffany and his life and creations.
A definite must do in Orlando! Absolutely enjoyed our experience.
A small museum with alot to offer! They have a huge collection of Louis Comfort Tiffany art. Ranging from ceramics, glass, jewelry, paintings, mosaics, & eastern inspired woodwork.
This is an amazing museum. If you enjoy beautiful art of any era this us a must see place. The amount of Tiffany material gathered here boggles the mind. From glass lamps to windows to pottery. History and biographical material brings Louis comfort Tiffany to life. Set up and presented perfectly, this is awe inspiring. Set on a lovely street in a beautiful town, it is a tribute to the forsight of Mr and Mrs Morse. Oh, did I mention its $5 to 7 to get in?If anywhere in the vicinity of Orlando, Florida, do yourself a favor and go
Dusting the fake plants would be nice. but i’m not gonna say that the rest of it wasn’t fantastic
Love this museum!
If you want cultural experience away from the theme parks this is the place to go. It is the most comprehensive collection of glass art by Louis Comfort Tiffany. I am from Chicago which has many of his monumental murals and ceilings. Visiting the Morse Museum gave me a greater understanding of the wider range of his work and style. Bring your headset as the audio guide is excellent. Admission is very reasonable. Allow time to take in the Museum and then enjoy the local restaurants.
Beautiful artwork lot of amazing and intricate patters in glass, wood and paint. Everything looks so fantastic its hard to remeber the no touch ruleThey do have an area to feel some of the textured glass and the front desk clerk was great showing the kids and getting them genuinely interested.Oh yeah theres a bunch of magnificent Tiffiny lamps too !!!We will be backThank you for a great afternoon
Awesome and well priced. They allow photography and the kids will enjoy themselves. You can pay with cash or credit/debit card. Make sure you stop at the Chapel!!!
Well presented and organized Museum. Today was there annual Holiday Open House so admission was free. Although the Tiffany art was amazing, there was so much more. Hidden historical treasures around every corner. Be sure to pick up a pamphlet in each room - which provides a thorough description of each exhibit.
This museum has an unbelievable collection of Tiffany glassworks and the other art. It is a must-see if you are in the area, and well worth the drive if you are not in the area! everything is beautifully displayed in a beautiful space, and the gift shop is amazing as well.
If you like Tiffany and/or stained glass, this museum is a must. Intimate, informative with an amazing Tiffany collection of lamps, windows, ceramics along with the amazing chapel he designed for the the 1893 Exposition in Chicago. Top notch.
Amazing collection of Louis Tiffany and many other artists. Great layout. An entire chapel from Tiffany’s original was put back together. Stunning! Recreation’s of Laureate Hall (his decadent home) was also installed with many of his personal belongings. Student admission $1! Remember to allot time for the entire exhibit. They also have their guests exhibits in addition to their standard items. Very relaxing. Strategic places to sit and relax. Pews in chapel. Chairs in the mock rooms of Tiffany’s home so you can breathe it in. A destination! Gift shop is very nice as well. Bathrooms clean!! Pictures allows but NO FLASH.
The best collection of Tiffany glass that you will ever see! I would have been impressed if they housed less half the number of Tiffany objects available to view here. I was also grateful that I got to see all of this for only a $6 adult admission. A must see the next time you visit Winterpark, Florida
A collection that takes on a journey. A journey that feels fulfilling. An entry fee of just $1 for students is an icing on the cake. The glass paintings, the beautifully decorated living room, the insanely beautiful lamps. One would need a good 3 hours to have a proper visit at this wonderful place.
Finally came for a visit after living here 20 years. Loved it! Beautiful museum and some interesting history about Winter Park
I enjoyed this museum very much. A great collection of Tiffany art, among other items. I recommend a visit when in the Winter Park area.
So beautiful. Definitely worth the drive. Plus $1 student ticket
Very beautiful collection of Tiffanys masterpieces. The guided tour is free and amazing, interesting, very knowledgeable and entertaining. The museum is begger than I though. Its only 1$ for students
I loved my experience in the museum. The addition of the videos and the information given for all the pieces was very helpful and helped appreciate the art a lot more. I definitely plan to visit again!
So incredible and I love the little details thats in the chapel and art
We just had to visit here again on our visit to Winter Park. The Senior price is $5 and what a bargain. The pieces on display here are truly amazing. Do not miss this wonderful collection.
An excellent option to know more about american art. When you enter the chapel you only can say: Wow!!!!!
What a great experience! This museum was a very pleasant surprise; the staff members were always happy to guide, direct and answer questions, the displays were well laid out, the lighting was well done and the descriptions were easy to read and informative. The museum displays included everything from tools used and preliminary design drawings to the fabulous final products. I loved the fact that there was everything from a small pin to the entire Tiffany Chapel.
This museum was very interesting .I loved it!! Lots information about life, work, art by Louis Comfort Tiffany .The guide pamphlets were excellent. I loved It and I recommend jt.
Beautiful display of Tiffany art and other American artists. The museum is fantastically curated with many rooms depicting several collections. Take your time on every room, you will see lots of treasures. The staff is knowledgeable and courteous. They take time to explain the art you are curious about. Lovely place to go with teens but I wouldnt recommend with little kids because theres a lot to see and many fragile artifacts.
It is a most wonderful place if you like Tiffany stained glass. The beauty and creativity of the art of stained glass is absolutely incredible. The only thing to be aware of is that sent it is all stained glass its not really kid-friendly under the ages of 10. But it is incredibly beautiful.
This was a jaw dropping experience. We went to Winter Park for the Art festival. The highlight was this museum.
I was a little reticent about spending time in a museum whose claim to fame centers around stained glass and 20th century crafts. However, the layout of this museum makes for a graceful and educational foray into the masterful work of Tiffany and the moment in American history that he occupied. This museum also serves to document some of Winter Parks formative history, with regard to Mr. Morses contributions to his once small town and the philanthropic efforts of his Granddaughter and grandson-in-law. Moreover, this museum is filled with beautiful art, and the reconstructed chapel is awe inspiring. Definitely worth visiting on a Friday (when admission is free), or any other day.
Entering the parking area, a slight breeze rustles leaves sending them into a gentle spiral. The fresh air inspires me while beams of sunlight warm my skin. The sun beams through narrow openings of lazy clouds, giving you the sense that its ok to relax and enjoy a tranquil day. The children play and the parents talk amongst themselves.Benches to sit on, people to watch, wildlife to enjoy, a museum to visit, and art to admire-- there is everything you need to enjoy your day.
This place is awesome! Devoted mainly to Louis C. Tiffany, this quality museum is a well kept secret look into life in affluent American in the start of the 1900s. Check out the window titled Tree of Life, the last stained glass window designed by Mr. Tiffany while he was taking in the summers in Miami, FL. Notice the attention to detail in the amazing pieces of jewelry on display. Blending gold and rare beautiful gems to create art and change the world! You are welcome to take photos of the works and take a friend. $6 admission is well worth the trip to the 1900s.
I enjoyed the free Christmas open house featuring live music. It was a lovely string quartet playing holiday music. The museum was much larger than I expected and was jam packed with interesting things from Tiffany. From lamps to to other glasswork, jewelry, a chapel, and models of his home. I’m usually a quick museum goer, but could easily spend 1-2 hrs in here.
A stunning collection of Tiffany windows, lamps and jewelry. Many historical paintings and statues from early America. The Daffodil pavilion alone is worh going to see. The Chapel is breathtaking too. Guided tours available.
Breath-taking must see! Stunning pieces and what a great price! $6!
This museum is a true jewel. We have brought several of our visitors to the Morse. The admission for the 5 of us, 2 seniors, 1 student, and 2 adults was only $23. The consensus of our guests was that it was awesome. The museum is known for its collection of works by Tiffany.
The best parts of the museum are the Tiffany displays that used to be in the Long Island home of Tiffany. They are displayed in room setting. There are pamphlets in all rooms describing objects, and the photos on the walls showing what things looked like in original location are very interesting.
Fabulous home for Tiffany pieces. Gorgeous items. Relaxed viewing. Interesting introductory short film. Nice gift shop.
Visually stunning, absolutely breathtaking. Wonderful layout. Very low admission fee for such an outstanding museum. The employees were extremely pleasant and helpful.
This museum was amazing I will be going back and bring others along with me since I came an hour before closing! You will surely need more than an hour lol. Ive been in Orlando all my life and this was my first time going and I was amazed at everything! The beauty in each handcrafted piece just had me in complete awe!
Low entrance fees and hours are on their web site. Fridays from 4 to 8 pm is free. Houses the largest collection of Louis Comfort Tiffany stained glass. AMAZING collection. Also has changing exhibits.
I LOVE this museum and the history behind it. Have been going here since I was a child. The staff are excellent and it is very clean. However on this visit, I encountered so much trash overflowing a bin on my way out of the museum. Its where the old century link parking lot is. I couldnt tell them to clean up their act as its permanently closed. I figured I would leave this here in case any staff or passersby are interested in cleaning. I was in a rush to catch my train or I would have done it myself.
A beautiful experience. Loved it.
This place is amazing. If youre into stained glass and Tiffany lamps, this would be the Mecca. There is everything from lamps to glass flowers embedded in concrete columns. There are stained glass windows and descriptions on how they were created, lots of different rooms full of vases and historical windows. Must see if youre in the Winter Park area. E-Z Parking across the street.
Everyone with any taste for Tiffany should visit this gem in the tiny Town of Winter Park, on the northeast side of Orlando. It has the most comprehensive collection of his works. It shows the range of his imagination -- glass, paintings, pottery, wood, architecture, jewelry. The museum itself is a beautiful facility and is well laid out with multiple small rooms for the various exhibits. Oh,vand the gift shop is one of the best . All in all, youll be glad you made this stop, and Im betting you recommend it to your friends too.
Absolutely breathtaking display of Tiffany art, lamps, jewelry as well as restored parts of his home. Lots to do for a very small amount of money!
This museum is a must see if you are visiting Orlando. Very reasonably priced with lots of artworks to see as well as the outstanding collection of Tiffany. We spent 2 good hours there but if time had permitted we could have stayed all day. There is free parking behind the museum and several nice eateries across the street.
What an incredible experience to come and see all the beautiful piece of history.
Fantastic view of the world if Tiffany. The largest collection of Tiffany. Very well presented, in a comfortable atmosphere. Very nice area around the museum
This is one of the best museums I have been to. It is the largest collection of Louis Comfort Tiffany in the world! There is beauty around every corner.
Spectacular collection! A must see. Take the tour if you have a chance. Very educational!
Beautiful museum. Great for class outings. I loved how peaceful I felt in there.
Beautiful stuff, and its huge, doesnt look like it from outside
Hidden little gem of a museum. Highly recommend spending time here its worth it! Lots of interesting history and beautiful stained glass art....
A quintessential Louis Tiffany collection in a lovely Florida town.
Nice museum to kill a few hours in Winter Park. Im not necessarily a Tiffany fanatic, but I still enjoyed the pieces. Appreciated the variety of artwork and the details around Morses life.
Amazing and unique museum. Although the focus is Tiffany stained glass there are other items. Love the displays and the way items are changed out or moved in the 16 years I have visited. Always bring out of town guests.
We had a lovely time and enjoyed the art.
The best small town museum ever! Tiffanys paintings, windows, home decor and architectural pieces are exhibited here. All for five bucks! The chapel is stunning.
Worth the time to visit.Wonderful work Mr. Hosmer did for future generations with salvaging these priceless artifacts from the estate. Theres so much here to see and experience one visit just cant cover it.
Great visit, lots to see. You need to have the time to soak everything in. Neat exhibits in every room. We looked a painting from the 1800s that was super detailed! You could see every individual grass blade. The Tiffany lamp room has beautiful lamps. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Beautiful collection of Tiffanys & his many rooms from his home on Long Island. A wonder that what remains made it all the way here to this historic museum.
We accidentally went to the wrong museum and we were so glad we did. This museum doesnt have a lot of items but what they have is beautiful! Definitely worth a trip to see what they have.
Just amazing to see so much tiffany stain glass pottery and other art all in one place!! Even if you are not a big art fan youll still have a wonderful time!!
The most comprehensive collection of Tiffany stained glass. Amazing museum that costs about $6 per person. Bring your student or senior ID for extra savings on admission.
What a wonderful place to loose oneself in the beauty of Glass Art. Not to be missed.
Very much worth the visit. Then go next door for a great gift. #rainyday
Great art featured. The chapel area is so beautiful and filled my heart when I sat in the Pugh. The staff was very informative and nice. If youre a student you only have to pay $1 instead of$6 which $6 is nothing for what you get to view but its still a great treat.
Gorgeous artwork. Came here for a school project and was amazed. They had a beautiful display of Tiffany lamps.
Beautiful museum. The displays of Tiffany glass are breathtaking!
This place is loaded with the amazing art and craftsmanship of Tiffany and is a must see if you love glass and sculpture. Great shopping and food choices for dinner right outside afterwards.
Very nice exhibit and much larger than I expected. I expected some Tiffany pieces but they have moved whole rooms from his home including a beautiful chapel.
