My favorite park so far. In Winston Salem. It is nice, because its not too big but it has its share of nature, it has a kids park for the young. There is a roof with tables if you want to plan a party. It has some very nice pools, this is a very good park, to even just go for a walk, sit on a bench, or even just go for a swim, beautiful pool. I love the work out place, like any other park, it looks clean and new. I enjoy coming here

The park is awesome! Quiet, not a lot of people there, it was very clean, updated playgrounds and facilities! Huge grills and covered shed areas. Walking trails. Just super nice! All the people there were very friendly.

We came to swim today only to find an empty parking lot and a sign on the door saying the pool was closed until further notice. We also went to Parkland only to find the same scenario. Im not sure why the pools have closed, whether its due to coronavirus concerns or staffing issues. I wish they would update their website so folks do not waste their time and gas.

Want a cheap thrill during the hot summer days? Well heres the place for you. The pool is clean and has a kiddie pool and a dive tower for those daredevils out there and a 16 foot deep end complete with three diving boards. Love it and after 9 or 10 summers of going there I can say that Bolton pool is the place to go.

Park is nice. Plenty of space to relax, outdoor gym area is really cool. However some of the picnic tables under the service area were broken down.

Quiet and nice place to park for lunch. Pool and tennis courts.

Beautiful park to bring the entire family. Big play areas as well as lots more to do for the adults including open fields, walking paths, tennis court, exercise area and more. Never had a bad experience here and it is located in a nice neighborhood.

I love taking my kids to this park. I have never had a bad time or incident either. This park is always clean and the new fitness equipment the have under the sun cover is a great addition. At the back of the park is where the pool is located. Although we have yet to take our family there, it looks like lots of fun.

Ive been to this pool a few times and its always a pleasant experience. My two smaller kids love the splash pool and my older ones love the various diving boards. The last time I went the splash pool wasnt working so the little ones didnt have anywhere to play and if if it rains they do not give a rain check or refund.

This park has definitely improved over the years. Notbhuge, but had a little bit of everything you need. Picnic Shelter, Tennis Courts, medium sized Swimming Pool, restrooms, water fountain. Not a lot to walk, but nice and woodsy.

Great place to work out then relax. The equipment is in good shape. Theres a nice walking track, a covered area, and play areas for the kids.

Really nice place to take the kids. Just remember to have a swimsuit. They will make you show them the suit, and if you dont have one even if youre not swimming, they want let you in. The only thing I dont like about the pool rules is if you have a little one you have to stay in the 3ft side of the pool where there are only ladders to get in and out of, No exceptions. They have another section of 3ft deep that has steps that you could sit on and let your little one stand on the steps and play, but they are not allowed on that side. That is the only thing I would change. One other rule you might want to keep in mind is if youre child cant pass a swim test they have to wear a life jacket at all times in the pool, and they are not allowed to go past the first rope even if the parent is with them, that rule is ridiculous as well, as long as a parent is with them and they have the life jacket on they should be able to go anywhere in the pool except the very deep side.

The kids place might or might not be open. Its always a toss up like it was last year.The people that work here weather its lifeguards or the ones you first see to pay, are nice.The concession stand is its own thing, not the a part of the actual pool. So they tend to come when they would like & dont have hrs posted up. If youre planning on eating there, have a back up plan or bring food.

I like this park because it’s big and open. There is a jungle gym and lots of swings (maybe 8) and some exercise equipment. There is a big field for sports and shelters with grills for get togethers. There has been a shooting there recently so, I’ve been afraid to visit.

Nice, clean park.The walking/jogging path is well-laid-out, and the new Static Exercise gym under the blue tent is a fabulous addition since our last family visit with the kids.The lawns were all well-maintained, and the huge picnic area seemed popular (there were a number of families putting it to use, so it was quite crowded).The pool was being filled for the season, but seemed to be well-maintained as well as we walked around the park while the kids ran around and played.There is also a woodsy trail one can take for a short walk through the trees around the outskirts of the park.Quite the neat little place to visit for a bit to let the kids vent some energy, or to have a family picnic.

The pool is big. The pool was dirty. What they allow people to wear into a family place is unappropriate. Ladies wearing a thing bathing suit. The lifeguards talking picking an playing with friends wasnt impressive to me when your suppose to be doing a job. We will not return.

I took my kids to this park on Easter Sunday. The park was like any other city park. Different activities and a bunch of clutter from people not picking up after themselves. We had a bunch of fun, but there was a guy on the playground with all of the children. He was in the mens bathroom for a long time. (Way before we got there) to about an hour before we left. He came out of the bathroom & went onto the playground after my brother walked my nephew to the restroom. He was just sitting on the swing with a bookbag looking at the kids. He came up to my 1 year old son & thats when I felt like it was time to leave. Very creepy. Other than that, it was an okay park.

I love the new work out section. Awesome for those you cant afford the gym or barely have time to go to the gym.

City does not properly maintain grounds. Not much shade. Dead trees on ground. Portable toilet covered with graffiti. Used to be nice park but like most of Winston, allowed to run down. Mayor needs to do better job with parks and litter throughout city.

Great place for swinging and digging in sand. Huge pavillion and grill for large gatherings. My kids loved it.

The pool area looks great but I only went for the park. Its well maintained. Has a shaded workout area that Im not sure is good for more than learning a routine. The little path for walking was clean. Pavilions were nice. Worth checking out!

Its a public pool to be blunt. Ill say Im not the biggest fan of crowded places with water (water parks, pools etc). Not too bad but they definitely need chairs of some sort.

I had just drove by but I do know they have a pool and everything but exercise equipment up under a tarp that looks really nice and I know they have a trail you can walk on I dont think animals are allowed though

The grass needs mowing and people have thrown trash on the ground instead of putting it in the trashcan

Bolton Park is in a sad state of disrepair. When my daughter was smaller we spent many hours there but now the equipment is boarded up, there is a portojohn with graffiti and sand everywhere so that you cant use the walking trail. What has happened? It looks like plenty was spent on a new workout area and the play area has gone to heck.

Kiddie pool area is nice for little ones. Price is great if your looking for something to do inexpensive. My only issue is that the people who run it need to put a NO SMOKING sign by the food tables. I was told your suppsed to be 200 feet away from them but that clearlt doesnt happen. Several people were smoking while my children and I were eating at the food tables.

Large park great for kids. Best benefit is you can stand in several different areas and see the entire park. Great view to be able to keep a close eye on your kids. New workout section for adults that is small but exactly what you need.

A decent sized park with a picnic shelter, playground for the kids, a walking/running loop, open gym equipment, tennis courts, volleyball court, and a public pool. Leashed dogs are also welcome.

I love this park. Beautiful views w lots of trees, a great walking path and brand-new outdoor center w various apparatus for workouts, a swimming pool, plus nice friendly people and neighborhood. Only weakness is the playground, as it is a little old, but there are swings, something to climb on n hang from, a little playhouse and lots of sand. AND there is a good-sized covered picnic area w many tables. So something for everyone.

This place has really changed in the past year, for the better, and I love it. This park has ample parking spots and is small enough to see the entirety of the park. There is a pool available that has morning classes for children. The shelter is really nice for a party and close to the bathrooms. The bathrooms are what you expect from a public park. The playground has two sections side-by-side and I have seen kids play there a lot. The walking trail is short and easy to walk. There is also a fitness platform that has equipment and a canopy tent covering it so that you dont get burnt. The park is safe and the people are all locals who recognize you after a while and greet you.

A good place for kids to come and play for your family to have a cookout and you can get a workout also at the same time and you can also go to the pool overall very good

Way too strict. Goggles and pool floats not allowed. Must have on swimming trunks or bathing suit, even if youre not swimming. Prices are great though.

The playground is really worn out. Borderline unsafe with plywood blocking off a slide. Rusty areas. Steering wheel falling off the play area. The sand gets everywhere. I really wish theyd replace it with mulch. Im sure its really gross after rain.

This park is really nice. Wide open spaces to enjoy. Exercise equipment under shelter. In season, they have a pool with 4 levels of diving platforms. They also have a spectacular picnic area. Lots of parking!

So thankful for this park, the city of Salem has provided wonderful work out equipment. That in itself says allot about the town, that they actually care about the well-being of the people who live in this town. Also has a community pool just amazing. Great job Winston Salem.
