Great Distillery! Husband and I had the best time - this was our break the pandemic outing. Outdoor seating is amazing, self-directed flight tasting was outstanding and we are going back.

This has become my new favorite distillery! ️ The folks that work here are very friendly and knowledgeable. The owners are hardworking and passionate. Theyre currently undergoing a very impressive renovation too. Looking forward to seeing it completed when we come back to Williamsburg!Maggie did our tasting (+ the extra cost for the cognac which is totally worth it) and tour. I loved all of the spirits I tried! My personal preference is a Rye. The tour was very interesting and the amount of work thats going into this new location is awesome!

Love this place. The Rye is my favorite but you cant pass up a good cocktail. I would love to see them open up the old hotel rooms to guests. Ill be back soon.

The best surprise of our trip to Williamsburg! The outside is an old motel that has been converted into a distillery. The staff was very knowledgeable about the tasting and made stellar cocktails! We ended up staying for another round after our tasting to play corn hole and enjoy the day.

Good experience. Took a star off because they are very light-handed with their pourings. Barely three wee sips in a glass. I know Virginia has silly and prudish alcohol laws, but dang...

Our first distillery experience was absolutely fabulous! Lovely ambience, friendly staff, and extremely knowledgeable tour/tasting guide. Everything we tasted was so flavorful with a great nose. If only wed had time for cocktails. They sounded delicious!!

The owners are so creative. They bought an old hotel and turning it into all kinds of things. Their tour was good, tour guide was knowledgeable and the spirits were smooth. Definitely stop by this distillery if you are in the area.

A buddy and I visited Copper Fox on a Thursday around 11. We were helped by Morgan, who was extremely friendly and professional. Morgan took his time to explain each product and answer all of our questions. Morgan never gave the textbook answer. He used his personal experiences to provide great feedback. The distillery is located on the grounds of an old hotel which really brings home the comfort and olf fashioned feel.

Overall an outstanding distillery for traditional liquors. they have their own unique take on how they distill their liquor everything comes from Virginia with some awesome recipes for the various ryes and single malt liquors they do. they have two locations the one in Williamsburg and the original location in Sperryville.Just wanted to make a quick update their location in Williamsburg. They have now finished remodelel the hotel and their tasting/speakeasy room is great and is an awesome place to do cocktails and shop. Well worth the stop if youre in the area.

A great experience. They have a very unique way of making their whiskey. A must for any enthusiast. The finished product is amazing. The tour guides arent just guides; they actually distill and bottle the whiskey themselves. This is a wonderful up and coming attraction, and they are hard at work on expanding the operation to make it even more pleasant.

Beautiful and fun setting, great selection of surprisingly smooth whiskey, and incredibly knowledgeable and hardworking staff. Morgan, our tour guide, did an excellent job and kept the tour very interesting yet informative. Even though some parts of the distillery are under renovation (which is evidently done by the staff on site--wow!) it is still a lot of fun and a great atmosphere. It is very interesting to see an old motel turned into such a neat and well-run business. Excited to return and see how far they have come and enjoy the tastings in the future. Thanks for having us Copper Fox--loved it!

I cant say enough about the quality of the facility, staff, products and vision of the people behind the Copper Fox Distillery. In just a few short years, the abandoned hotel is being renovated and will become a landmark in Williamsburg for meeting rooms, a B & B and just a good time. I do know a little something about producing distilled spirits and I can tell you the Copper Fox products are excellent! The tasting room makes excellent cocktails! I will be back over and over again!

Not 5 star yet because they are still in the process of renovating and as far as some of the atmosphere goes for the outside, it still needs a little work. Other then that this place is great. All of the liquors I tried were delicious and I recommend getting their pain killer drink. We did the tour after our tasting but I think it would have been better to finished the tour with the tasting after hearing all if the distilling information.

To notch staff. Tim did a great job with the tasting portion of the tour patiently explaining all of the nuances in the whiskey. Stacy gave a first rate tour of the facility. This company is the ideal example for home grown product and have done a wonderful job re purposing this facility. In town? This is a must see.

The actual location doesnt seem to line up with the posted address, or maybe it was just Google being fense, but it was slightly tricky to find the tasting room entrance. The pourers were not the friendliest and could have been better informed, and there didnt seem to be enough of them to handle the Saturday crowd. The tasting room is loud and somewhat disorganized, although there was a sign outside that said pardon our dust so perhaps they have plans to make improvements on that front. It did seem family friendly, but it is quite loud in there when theyre busy, which makes it difficult to hear the servers. I think if you can find a time when theyre not very busy it would be a better tasting experience. I plan to go back and check them out when there are not quite so many people there; hopefully they wont be so rushed and the experience will be a bit more enjoyable.

This is a family owned operation with massive expansion plans for the Williamsburg location. Great Rye whiskey selection, and one the best Gins I have tasted. Their single malts are top of the line. Small batch producer with expansion on the horizon. Cant wait to see their Speakeasy concept for the complex. Weddings and Whiskey B&B .

I visit a lot of craft distilleries as I travel the country. I was very lucky to stumble across the Copper Fox as i was visiting Williamsburg VA. What a unique distillery in so many ways! First, they are in the process of building out the distillery in a defunct hotel but have done a great job with what is built out so far. Second, they actually malt their own barley onsite! This is pretty unique in its own right. Next, their staff, who all lives on site, were super friendly and knowledgeable. Any questions not answered on the tour were answered just after we returned back to the tasting room. And lastly, their spirits! WOW! some of the smoothest and most flavorful single malts I have found! I am not typically a fan of rye blend whiskey but it was so good I also bought some of that. Although I am typically a bourbon guy, I wasnt a huge fan of their bourbon as it was bottled BUT they also have a unique take on this as well. They have a bourbon kit that you can buy which includes 2 bottles of their off the still 124Proof bourbon along with a small oak charred barrel so you can age, and cut, it yourself. Really unique place with some really unique concepts and great spirits. Good job guys!

A fun place to visit with a vivaciously fun tasting guide who really knows her products. The blue top single malt distinguished itself for its smooth flavor with wonderful caramel tones. We left with a bottle.

Some pretty decent drinks here, some may be too rough if you prefer smooth then you may only find one of the so how malts to taste. Friendly staff and even met the owner who seemed a pleasant chap.
