My family and I celebrated my Mothers Memorial Mass at St. Bede on 10/30/20. It was so beautiful!

We were there on a Monday for a funeral mass so it isnt easy to say anything positive or negative. Very solemn and dignified

Absolutely beautiful Church in Williamsburg, Va. Monseigneur Keely gave great homilies, ushers extremely courteous and knowledgeable. Hopefully, our son and his wife will register.

That was a great Mass. We appreciate the live streaming. Itd be great if there was an online version of the missal linked to the St. Bedes website for upcoming services.

What can I say, its church of course its wonderful. We have three great new priests here, and they all do a wonderful job. Plenty of mass times to choose from also. If youre a Catholic man and looking to join a great organization and participate in charity work, come join Saint Bedes Knights of Columbus counsel 6828.

Great active church community. We went to mass here while on vacation and felt very welcome. The layout is very post-Post Vatican II so it takes a bit to find the tabernacle. Once you get oriented this is a great place to celebrate mass.

Beautiful church, very large. Only issue is there is only one entrance. Allow time to get there and park beforehand and lots of time and patience leaving.

Saint Bedes is a very beautiful church. Christmas Eve Mass was great. The new priest was very good and easy to understand!

Beautiful worship space. Much larger than I expected. Lots of parking. My wife and I attended a phillipino celebration and it was very nice.

Always uplifting, beautiful services. But have noticed more activities for the families to play together. I especially benefited from participating in the THANKSGIVING TURKEY TROT 5K run.

This is a wonderful church with many options to attend mass for people with different schedules. I personally love attending the English masses in the morning and at 5pm on Sunday. I wish there was more young adult programming.

The Mass was good, but I was perplexed as to why the Tabernacle was in a completely different room, when the Eucharist is central to Catholicisms beliefs. I was also confused why the EMs came up and grabbed Communion instead of the Priest giving It to them. The Priest did give a good homily, and the music was reverent. The organist was excellent. There wasnt a bunch of whispering before or during the 7:15 Mass, which was good (as Im unfortunately accustomed to hearing in my home town, so this was impressive).

I am not a fan of modern Catholic churches with the tabernacle tucked away but this church is not about the building, but rather the high quality of the priests who do not fear to uphold church teaching. The parishioners also appear to be very engaged, which is a wonderful sign.

Great place for Catholic Mass. We attend here when we are in Williamsburg. The people are friendly and the Mass and homilies are far from boring. We were lucky enough to stop in for Mass the Saturday they in installing the pastor who one greeter told us has been there four years. The Bishop was an excellent speaker. There were one bishop, three priests, three deacons, about five alter servers, and about fifteen extraordinary ministers. The offertory and communion portions of the mass happen very quickly compared to other Catholic Churches. Highly recommend this parish for Mass in Williamsburg.

Great feeling when you are there.

I do not care for the new St. Bedes Church. I was a member of the old St. Bedes in the 1980s. It was a beautiful Church with a wonderful congregation. The new Church is too Protestant like with a ridiculous small altar for the size of the sanctuary. To find the Blessed Sacrament you need to have a road map. I was shocked how noisy the sanctuary was before and during Mass. No respect. One visit for Mass was more than enough.

A spacious church built in the modern in-the-round style with the altar in the center. Interesting for a Catholic church, but beautifully done. Situated on a large campus. Plenty of parking.

This seems like a very vibrant and active community with friendly parishioners (observation as a visitor) who are trying their best to live Catholic lives. Sadly, it felt like the Msgr’s show and had a Baptist/Protestant flare to it with Msgr and choir in the forefront and Jesus (tabernacle) tucked away in the back corner. The lack of reverence for the precious body and blood of Our Lord was troubling and shocking (the priest and the extraordinary ministers looked like they were dealing poker chips). The church building itself although bright and airy, certainly lacked any hint of sacred beauty (just another “modern” structure where the pews encircle the altar). Perhaps my family and I have gotten spoiled over the years living in the Arlington diocese but we were troubled by lack of focus on the worship and praise of God.

Came here for Easter service and loved it. Beautiful church. Lots of kids at the service.

Visited there for a beautiful Christmas eve mass.

I was disappointed to read the two-star comment by a visitor (from Arlington, I believe) regarding our church, and our perceived lack of respect for the Holy Eucharist during Mass. Perhaps this visitor did not realize that the tabernacle is in our Reservation Chapel (not tucked in the back), always adorned with flowers, an icon of Our Lady, and golden statues of angels on the walls. The chapel has large windows at the back, which allow the light to stream in at various times of the day. Here, many of us come to worship our Lord, through adoration, contemplation, and prayer, at different times of the week, and the Liturgy of the Hours also is prayed. As one of many extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, I assure you that we take the distribution of Our Lords Sacred Body and Blood very seriously, and take great pains to show that respect. Incense is used in some of our Masses, many of them actually, and certainly on the great feasts of the liturgical calendar.It is true that St. Bede also is a very large parish that welcomes tourists who come to Mass in between their tourist activities, perhaps more rushed than we--or they themselves might wish--but we welcome them nonetheless, with open arms.Monsignor Keeney is an excellent pastor and an inspiring preacher, whose homilies are rooted in the teachings of the Church. He attempts to make them relevant to our lives and personally I believe he really does.We hope you will visit us again, on a future trip to Williamsburg, so that we might welcome you and dispel the doubts created during your recent visit. Thank you for worshiping with us.

Very beautiful sanctuary. It was hard to hear the choir. They need microphones.

This parish is scheduled to host an Episcopal “ordaination” of a female “bishop” February 1st. Time to change the sign and remove “Catholic” from the letterhead. Modernism rules here, not the one true Church. If you are looking for an orthodox Catholic parish, you won’t find one here.

Attended Thanksgiving Servicing 2017 with family visiting form GA, TX and LA we vacationed at Powhatan Resort so St Bede conveniently located about a block from front entrance - also attended Sunday Mass before heading out. Beautiful services and church, friendly congregation.

Books that will guide you close to god are there for all with great church

I love Williamsburg and have visited often. I have a list of favorites to return to, such as the Colonial houses, the Art Museum, William & Mary., the Inn. Now the chief place I wish to visit upon my return is St. Bede. This church is TRULY Heavenly! The 11a.m. Mass today was said by the Pastor who delivered an inspiring homily. A handbell choir consisting of little children rang several hymns. Tiny grade school angels sang. A large number of EucharisticMinisters distributed the Eucharist from shining white gold Ciboriums and Chalices whose beauty reflected their contents: the Body and Blood of Jesus. The Congregation filled the large, beautiful Nave, and included all generations. Noteworthy was the number of Millennials there, the generation many say has lost faith. Williamsburg is blessed to have this House of God there.
