Great little wooden roller coaster! Its short, but it sure packs a punch! Definitely worth a ride.
Fast and thrilling roller coaster at Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, Virginia. Open during August 2020 as part of Coasters and Craft Brews event for a limited time only, pursuant to the Governor of Virginias emergency orders. Enjoy it while you can before Coronavirus strikes again! Please like this posting! :)
Its time for me to go to Invadr so I can really have some fun
I love this ride! Ive always liked the way a wooden roller coasters ride. And this is a good one.
As much as we love Busch Gardens, this was a terrible experience. My husband and I rode in the last car, and my two children were in front of us, one a teenager and one a preteen. When they told us to pull the lap safety towards us, my daughters would not budge. We got the attention of the workers, but they were just laughing and delayed the ride a good three minutes acting like immature girls having difficulty pulling against the bar to move it. They were also loudly blaming whoever the previous rider was, saying (to the whole group) I wish I know who the previous rider was, they broke it, they were stupid for slamming it forward, this is all because they slammed it forward! We had all just waited in a significantly long line, none of us are experts on your equipment, and for you to publicly make fun of a park guest is absolutely inappropriate. To make matters worse, when they got it fixed, they told my preteen daughter that it should be good and she was terrified that it wasnt working properly. She was so apprehensive that she was crying through the whole ride, and we tried to reassure her that it was fine, but honestly the park workers should have reassured her prior to the bride moving, that everything was in working order and that she would be safe. We as parents did the best we could, but the lighthearted way in which the park Personnel dealt with it without giving her any sort of warm fuzzy that the ride was safe, was absolutely inappropriate. It was a horrible experience, and was the last coaster we rode that night, because my daughter was very scared that they were not safe and that the park employees were not taking it seriously. Very frustrated.
A very fun ride. This is a great starter roller coaster when trying to overcome your fear of roller coasters. There is a small 74 foot drop, and goes moderately fast. This is in my top 3 favorite wooden roller coasters for sure!
Its a fine family coaster from the great guys at Great Coasters International. Nothing to blow your socks off, but that doesnt deter it from being a great addition of BGWs coaster lineup.
Great wooden roller coaster!! Perfect for someone who is just starting to ride coasters and work their way up to the scarier bigger coasters at the park.
What are people talking about when they say this coaster is rickety? Im in my 50s and I have no problem with it. Ive been riding the old Kings Dominion wooden roller coasters since the 70s and yes, if you want to call those old and rickety then I totally agree. I love InvadR, wish lines werent so long.
My ten year old was nervous when she was on line but it turned out she loved it. She even asked to go on again! It was her 1st roller coaster it’s a great starter before the even bigger rides
Kids had a blast. One mildly steep hill only 74 feet drop. Good for mild to moderate coaster.
InvadR is an extraordinary wooden coaster, attracting thousands of thrill seekers from all around the country. One of Busch Gardens Williamsburgs most prized roller coasters. Being constructed out of wood gives it a thrilling experience throughout the whole ride. Despite being rough and jerky, this ride is a fan favorite. The only thing about InvadR that I despise is the great lack of Historical Accuracy.BTW I dont recommend this ride to older adults, due to the jerk and roughness of the coaster.
Was such a fun fast ride. Its a good starter ride for those that dont like roller coasters that much.
This wooden coaster is a great for first time riders if you dont mind waiting 45 minutes to and hour on a busy day.
It’s a great roller coaster and was added to Busch Gardens just last year (2018)! Being a wooden coaster, it’s shaky but it’s a lot of fun and has a good drop!
If you love a thrill...you will love this ride.
This ride Ive rode about 15 times at max and it was always a pretty good ride. I didnt find it rough or not that jerky and it has good speed and just a well done ride. But the one problem is it closes a ton especially in the morning and sometimes at afternoon so I suggest going to ride around 3:00 to 5:45 because that is when it is normally not closed but around 5:00 to 6:30 it can have fairly long lines. So overall it is a good ride (not the best in the park probably 3rd best) but it closes a lot.
I didn’t like it too much, because the seats were small and there was barely any thrill, but I’m giving it 3 stars - it’s really good for doing what it was meant to do, give the family a coaster that wasn’t a kiddie coaster, and also have a woodie in BG’s lineup.
Swear when this came out it was smoother but now its extremely jerky and kinda painful. No more for me. Love the other coasters but Ill pass on this one.
InvadR is a fun ride for adults and kids alike. It’s not too tall and doesn’t go upside down, so it’s good for a starter rollercoaster. My only complaint is that the turns are sharp and often jerky. I like how they brought back the wooden rollercoaster style.
This is a great wooden coaster. Kind of an introduction to roller coasters.
So much fun. My daughter loves thisnride she is 7
It’s a family coaster, so I’m basing this off family coaster standards. It’s a good ride. Only prob is it’s a bit rickety despite how young this ride is. And the reason why is that the trains were used on a older coaster called Gwazi which was at Busch Gardens Tampa. Though it was built by the same company that made Invadr it was a older ride and I heard was super rough. Though I like how BGW is up cycling these trains it would be a lot smoother with new trains like Mystic Timbers(a great ride btw)
We went on a slightly rainy day and the lines were short the ride was great.
Make sure to check out the sample seat before queueing up. Seats are not accomodating for plus sized people. No larger seats are available
Fun hybrid coaster. No inversions.
Excellent addition to Busch Gardens coasters. As a woody, it has a very different, almost rickety feel. Its slower and smaller than the other coasters, but the scale of the turns still makes it exciting. It almost feels dangerous, which is exactly what you want Im a ride like this. Awesome little coaster.
So much fun! Love the thematic elements of the ride, queue, and whole area!
It feels faster than it is and it is awesome!!
Great ride, but the line is always long.
Its such a fun rollercoaster. I wouldnt call it wooden though, because it has a metal structure. It is super fun, I love the flying out of your seat feeling and it doesnt go too high. My son says its his rollercoaster. He loves it.
Didnt expect this newer woodie to be so rough, didnt enjoy it.
One of the best wooden rollercoasters Ive been on. Lots of airtime and bunny hills.
I love the wooden roller coasters. This one did not disappoint.
Pretty good but two bad things 1 the harness it hurts... 2 you get flopped around. Overall 6.5/10. Good family ride.
Thought this ride was great!!! Fast and Fun!!!! It was toward the end of the night so the line was short, the group I was with rode in 6 times in a row!!!
This was an interesting ride. Totally unexpected of the speed.
Tried the tester seats out in front of the ride. They are very small! I doubt anyone over 180 to 200 lbs could fit in those seats. They brought old, used cars from the Tampa location to use as the cars. And before thinking shes just fat, I have no problem rising almost every other ride in park. Im very disappointed.
Amazing.. favorite at the park
The fourth-best wooden coaster that Ive been on but just an okay experience.
Classic GCI! Fun ride for what it is, (family coaster) First drop is still amazing though! Would ride it again when its less busy.
I enjoyed the older rickety feel to it of a classic styled woodie. I look forward to seeing if they fill in the area with great themed construction.
This ride was wicked, I loved it when it felt like my soul came out from that drop, WOOOOHOOOOO
Nice and fast, dont sit in the back end
Ride was rough after 2 years and lines are still long
Everyone here needs to realize a) this ride utilizes the world-class GCI Millennium Flyer trains. They are highly coveted in the coaster community for their lack of over-restrictive restraints and their ability to traverse tight turns with great smoothness, and b) this is a family coaster. It is not meant to be compared to the larger coasters in the park. Its main purpose is to serve as a stepping stone between Grovers Alpine Express and Loch Ness Monster and/or Verbolten. As a family ride, its a perfect addition for the park.
Decent coaster, great for enjoying with kids
Pretty well made family coaster!
Wooden and fantastic
I felt like this was a sub-par choice for Busch Gardens. Busch Gardens has a reputation for world class roller coasters, however, this is a below average ride. Loading operations are slow.
If you want to wait 45 minutes for a slightly above average roller coaster, this ride is for you.
This ride is like woodstock express on steroids. Its a great family roller coaster.
Not the best ride in the park, but I its one of the better ones. Really fast & rickety...but I like it.
Great wooden roller coaster!
Awesome but the First drop is forceful
Awesome fast thrill ride
Awesome wooden coaster.
Awesome coaster
A lot of fun

Tree meat boat ride

An average wooden coaster, nothing special.
