The shelterhouse was very nice. It was perfect for the meeting that we were having. The only problem was the September for our time there was not posted anywhere Uber already has the filter for reluctant to move.
Really loved this park!! Perfect for my 1 yo and my 5 yo. It even has a little something for me!!
Really nice park for younger children, probably one of the better toddler parks in the area. Although there wouldnt be a lot for older kids to do. There are two small play structures with slides and quite a few smaller play items. There arent any swings though. There are indoor bathrooms and six or so picnic tables under shade. And thats the only shade in the small park. When we went at the end of the day a lot of the play items were too hot to sit on, but well definitely be back on a cooler day.
Small equipment.. perfect for toddlers and preschoolers. My granddaughter loves it.
It is a wonderful park, my children like it a lot and me too.
Kids seem to love it. Definitely designed for smaller kids. A nice space that is connected to a nice walking/biking trail.
Great trails for biking and walking, but little shade in the park.
Very small, has a free little library for us book lovers. Nice soft turf so when someone falls down its not into woodchips. Great people. Nice park, very clean,. The bathrooms are clean, water fountains arent on right now so they conserve water. The city takes great care of the park, the parking lot is small but I can get a spot at the nearest Kroger and walk the trail to the park back and forth if needed.Cant recommend this place enough.
Great place for kids with nice trails. The hill is awesome for snow sledding.
The playground is definitely only meant for little kids, but the park over all is beautiful and is a fun place to be. Only downside is the cops that stalk the place constantly. I always feel like I did something wrong when the roll by staring everyone down.
Our family likes to go to Simon Moon Park pretty frequently. We love the little free library and the kids love the playground! It is suitable for toddlers and up, which is nice for families with children in different age groups. You can sled down the hill in the winter and have a party in the shelter in the summer. We also like that there is a trail right to the park!
Great park next to trails that connects to multiple larger trails like The Monon. Modern well maintained park with many features: play ground, fire pit, corn hole, playground, covered picknick gazebo, adult swing, restrooms, water for you and pets, sledding in winter.
Public bathrooms is a great plus. Covered picnic/seating. All play equipment bakes in the sun and was mostly untouchable at 3p in Sept.
Beautiful and well appointed park!
This park is pretty good. It would be a good sledding hill.
Nice entry point to Midland Trace Trail. Restroom was open, clean, and heated.
Great park for the little ones. Very toddler friendly. Fun gill to climb, great path for walking, fire pit, corn hole, even a small library. Great place to end up on a walk down the trail.
Great for sledding. It has a nice steep little hill. We enjoyed the snow there.
Nice little park
Very nice sledding hill here. Bathrooms recently added which is great for kids. Playground, fire pit.
This is a great park for young kids and parents. Places for parents to sit and relax while the kids play on a variety of structures.
Great for sledding in the winter.
Great park for the family!
This review is based on renting the shelter and holding an event at the park. We rented the shelter and had a bonfire in the evening for a baby shower. All in all, it was a great space to entertain. However, when making the paid reservation, the Westfield parks and rec website mentioned the park had restrooms and electricity. When we arrived, we were unable to use our bluetooth speakers for music because the outlets werent working. As it got darker, the lights did not turn on either. We had to scramble to clean up in the dark, AND we had small children with us, so it was not ideal. When we called to talk to parks and rec about it on Monday, we were told we should have requested that the electricity be turned on. NOWHERE on the website was this mentioned and it was ALSO not mentioned to me when I called ahead of time to confirm details of our reservation. My husband requested that the website be changed and it has since been updated for future guests, but at the time of our reservation it did not specify. In addition to this, there was a 7 year old boy who lives in neighboring house to the park who decided to join our party and would not leave us alone. I asked him multiple times to go get his parents and he would not. I tried to explain to him as nicely as possible that we were having a private party (a baby shower!) for just us, but he didnt go home until his parents yelled for him to come back. So.... Just so you know, there are apparently barefoot, unsupervised kids who will come crash your party at this location.
Simon Moon park sits next to the Westfield City Service building. Although a bit small there is plenty of playground equipment for kids under 8 or so. There is a great parking lot with overflow parking in the Westfield City Service parking lot next door. There is a single very large shelter and a great well maintained restroom. The main attraction for my family today was the sledding hills in the park. They have been designated specifically for sledding in the winter. Although its spring now we just received several inches of snow. The sleddibg hills are huge and provided plenty of room for the 40 or so people taking advantage of the park
Nice one mate I would love for you and your family and friends with her to do it
Small but nice for small children.
Simon Moon Park is a wonderful place to sled!
Newly renovated, bathrooms, and water fountains, two different playing areas for the kids, there are walking trails, and a picnic area up the hill, over all a very nice park!!
This park is very good for children, well designed for the younger age group!
Great for little kids and toddlers!
Great place for young children
Beautiful community park
Good sledding
We checked the sleding slope, the high slope was somewhat dangerous as there were trees at the bottom kids were crushing into.
Perfect for little ones
Beautiful
Get place for tots
