This place is pretty amazing. Very relaxing to walk around and explore the predominantly Chinese themed garden with other styles as well. There are little hidden gems to look for throughout the gardens. Lots of things to see like waterfalls, ponds, koi fish, maze, fountains, flowers, sculptures, architecture, and more. They host weddings and other large events. This is one of those hidden treats in the DFW area that doesnt get enough publicity.
Very nice small garden tucked away in Weatherford. Plenty of parking out front. As you walk up to the gardens, you will see signs directing you to the main office. There you will be able to pay the 5 dollar admissions fee. That fee is per person. Plenty of shade to fend off the sun, and a great fountain that you can sit around to relax.
A beautiful, cozy, quiet place to walk, sit quietly and enjoy the silence!️
Chandor Gardens is a beautiful place to have a wedding! The staff is super kind. The main thing that I would recommend they improve on is their rental regulations. Their contract details are extremely vague and they will withhold your deposit for the smallest reason. In the end, I wish the venue would have communicated more specific expectations, details, and rules with me prior to my wedding. I would also tell future renters to be aware of the tripping hazards due to steep seating areas and very dim lighting. Three guests fell at my wedding. Two of which were elderly people. For the most part, I am happy with my experience at Chandor Gardens I would just tell future brides to be very aware of these things when booking.
Quirky and beautifully artistic home with surrounding gardens. Hidden gem in Weatherford for those who love art, history and architecture. Great piece of local history to visit for an hour or two.
Beautiful and peaceful gardens nestled in Weatherford Texas. There are many areas to sit and rest or enjoy a picnic lunch. There are ponds, fountains and a waterfall which promote tranquility and so many lovely plants and trees to admire. Perfect place to take your family and other special photos.
Beautifully kept Gardens with a long history. A wonderful way to spend a day!
This place is absolutely beautiful. I wish I could have gardens like this. Its also very resonably priced for a family outing. Its only $5 for adults and kids under 12 are free. They have onsite bathrooms that are in an actual building, not portapotties and they are clean.
What an amazing oasis in the middle of this part of Texas. Even in the heat, it was a wonderful wander exploring all the gardens. Definitely recommend walking the labyrinth. If you need time to relax and/or reflect, give yourself time to do so. This is the perfect setting for it.
Spring and summer place to go. So nice Great shade and the fountains are great. There are so many little things you will miss if you dont take your time.
Beautiful garden that is excellent for photographing and walking through. My toddler loved walking through the garden and didnt want to leave though we had to hold her hand for the little bridges and stepping stones to be safe. Worth every dollar and was happy to see the staff take the time to sit and take in the garden as well. Ill likely return again sometime.
Nice, very Clean and great social distancing. The setting is perfect for a mini get away- short distance drive!! (Very cool Water falls). We will do it summer
Amazing! So beautiful. So many different areas to explore. So much to see. Do remember bug spray. I didnt think about that and got bit but it was so amazing that I didnt want to leave even if I was getting bitten.
Super pretty n small Asian/ Japanese style garden. Perfect spot if you have photography / photo shoot in mind... Really well maintained spot. If you are around this area the nominal entry fee is a well spent $ for the picturesque garden
Beautiful spooky walk. Wish it was longer. The kids had fun.
Fabulous. We hit it on a cool morning and enjoyed the walk. Not very large, but tons of diversity.
Beautiful place. Dont forget mosquito repellent. Thats the only bad thing was being eat up by mosquitoes with the grandkids. Other than that we loved it. My 3 yr old and 1 yr old grandkids loved it also.
Very clean and all the garden seemed very fresh. The Asian accents and the beautiful fountains . Koi in one pool, think they was cleaning the others. Totally worth $5 to walk in a luxurious place.
This was pretty amazing! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and he had personal history which was really quaint.I was with a garden group doing a tour. I would really like to come back and just sit and contemplate life. There were so many nooks and crannies where you could enjoy the scenery, cool off and listen to the fountains and waterfalls. They have events here as well and it would be an amazing place for a wedding or other reception. There is lots of room for guests. The bathrooms are nice and very clean with 3 stalls in the womens room and 2 stalls in the mens. While not completely accessible for wheelchairs, there is a portion of areas that are accessible. Lots of steps here and there would make it hard for anyone in a wheelchair to see the entire garden. For older people with trouble walking, it would be doable, depending on your mobility. The benches that are scattered throughout the garden are helpful if you need to stop and rest, or wait for your party. It is a small enough place you could see everything in about an hour, however there are so many plants, shrubs and trees to look at we were there for 3 hours and I would have liked to stay longer.
Absolutely beautiful! Such a hidden gem in Weatherford, TX. The paths are easy to walk and the water features are delightful. When we visited, the gardens were not crowded at all and we could take our time... so very peaceful! Admission is insanely cheap! The kids loved it too! We especially enjoyed learning about the history of how the gardens were created and then saved many years later. If you are in the area, you don’t want to miss this garden.
Such a beautiful garden. Loved the quaint art show in that setting.
Beautiful gardens, you can enjoy peaceful moments looking at the fountains and the trees sitting on a bench.
This was a beautiful, peaceful place.
This garden is very beautiful garden. All spot are photographic spot. You cah get multiple different photographic spots in this garden. If you willing to spend 1-2 hr, this is right place.

Absolutely beautiful place, a hidden little gem. Its so calming with the gorgeous water features! Will be back again.
Awesome place. Great photograph opportunities. Staff was very helpful.
Beautiful and artistically pleasing. Definitely worth the drive.
Wish I could give 0 stars. Its mainly because of their office management. We travelled for more than 60 miles to see this place and we arrived at 1pm on Saturday. It usually closes at 3pm. This place was booked for a private event and they did not let us in. We had even checked the website for all updates and called them before we arrived, but still we were not let in. Ridiculous!!!
A hidden jewel from a bygone era. Lovely gardens and worth the trip.
This place is really really nice I brought my kids 4yrs and 5yrs they loved it it is really affordable I will be back.
Beautiful gardens. The detail and upkeep is outstanding. So many nooks and crannies to explore. Very peaceful and delight to the senses.
Beautiful gardens. Spend some time here with a loved one
You dont know what beautiful is until youve been here.
Secret Gem of Weatherford! Since I’m a senior citizen, living on the outskirts of Weatherford and having not grown up in Weatherford, I was over the moon when my husband and I stumbled upon Chandon Gardens. This is by far one of the most beautiful gardens I’ve seen. It’s not a big garden as far as acreage goes, but is grand in beauty and flair. I’ve not been to a wedding or have had to do any kind of wedding/receptions in many years, but this IS a perfect place to consider. 5+ stars for this Beauty.
Nice but kind of small.
Beautiful place. Lots of shade: was surprisingly comfortable even in the Texas summer heat.
Not too big. Not too small. Really nice.
Went there for a wedding and it was really pretty!
Its a beautiful place, well maintained, and the staff is so nice! We have been before and will go again.
Wish we had gotten there earlier, a group of 6 got there & paid full price for about 1 hr, & did not get to see it all. Still was an unexpectedly beautiful & fun place! Loved the KOI & fountains & sculptures, i will go back.
Wonderful place for a wedding reception!
Absolutely breath taking! Its hard to believe this place was a private garden at one time. Douglas Chandor originally built these gardens for his wife Ina, what a treat that must have been. These gardens are maintained superlatively well by the City of Weatherford and are worth every penny of the $5 admission for historic value alone. The home and gardens are a great example of Chinese and English architecture and exploring the 5600 square foot home is really a joy!Although we didnt spend a lot of time here (about an hour, probably less for most folks), its a noteworthy place and worth checking out if youre visiting Weatherford.
Beautiful gardens I loved it
A friend had her wedding reception here, absolutely gorgeous!
Best place right in the middle of Weatherford. Cant wait to research a bit more on Chandors art.
Quiet, beautiful, full of characters and stories from 50+years ago...old plantings. British and Asian. A great painters old mansion home. with examples of his famous works. Go see it for yourself... a true hidden gem. Helpful staff. $5.00 admission.
Wonderful grounds of old home with lots of gardens and waterfalls.
Absolutely beautiful and totally a surprise! I found this by mistake.
Beautiful. Great place to take pictures or just walk around at. Not a big place but just the right size to make you feel like you are not in the city.
Never knew about this awesome place. But we wont forget it either!! Im sure we will be back!
Took our graduation photos here. Beautiful grounds with many picturesque locations for a photoshoot. Definitely reccomend.
Wonderful place to go to have a picnic or see some historical architecture. Its a really neat place to visit and extremely cheap for the experience. The lady at the front was also very sweet and a delight to speak to.

Every aspect of this place was beautiful and Im very thankful that my fiance chose this place to propose.
This is a quaint flower garden with cute areas of different flowers and water features. Takes about an hour and a half to walk it, but it is a very easy and enjoyable walk.

Indoor gardens absolutely fabulouslots of beautiful plants very calm and Serene place to take a walk and enjoy yourself or maybe have lunchso invite everyone from fort Worth Dallas and everywhere else to come over and take a look at our beautiful Vhanfor Gardens
We had a wonderful morning at Chandor Gardens today. Wandering around the brick- and gravel-lined walkways through countless water features and Chinese-inspired architectural elements is very relaxing. Most of the garden is shaded, so the designers have made the most of different shades and textures of green, with pockets of beautiful flowering plants where the sunshine allows.
Beautiful place. They have about 15 to 16 gardens with oriental and english themes. My favorite was the pirate one. It is an awesome place to spen the morning. You can bring snacks and make a picnic. Loved it!
A beautiful oasis in the city. What a lovely place for a picnic, party, wedding, or youre interested in the rich history.
Loved the place!
Not very big but so peaceful. Beautiful place.
There were a lot of bugs but it was really pretty.
Wonderfully made. You have to go through the stepping Stones across the coi pond. Its a really nice to see.
Beautiful grounds and wonderful scenery. Mr Chandor did an excellent job and others have kept the grounds well.
Amaxing peaceful and beautiful. Brings back memories of my childhood.
Nice place to see.
This place is better kept up and nicer than the botanical gardens in fort worth so worth the drive
Very curious, informative, laid back atmosphere and even tho we came kinda close to closing time they didnt rush us out.we both Loved it
These gardens are absolutely beautiful! You can walk the same path for hours and still enjoy what you see. The house itself is also stunning. It is very large and has quite a few turns, so you could get lost if you dont know the place. It is very interesting to see how the efforts of one person can influence an entire area.
This is worth the visit. Amazing history with many world leaders...go see to find out.
