When you driving west on 180, and using mobile gps, it asks you to take right turn where there is no passage. after that you see a signage but no right turn in vicinity. then Maddux road comes where you are supposed to take right but no signage and the gps do not prompt to do that. you ended up going further and then take u turn and return back and you see couple of signage which helps. so I guess they need to put proper signage on westbound traffic too on 180 so they do not miss taking right on Maddux. Other than that it as great trip. No food in vicinity so pack your snack.
Delightful garden to explore. Kids and kids at heart will adore the miniature trains. The variety of trees, plants, and flowers is amazing. The staff is friendly and gave us a lot of insight into the family and the gardens. The only real drawback is that the map is hard to follow. We saw a peacock, ducks, and lots of fish and turtles.
Pretty place, but poorly maintained. Some of the areas clearly needed watering. In one of the ponds there were dead fish floating in the water. We passed two dead animal carcasses just lying there on the trails. Theres no signage helping you find the way back to the entrance, and we got lost trying to make our way back.
Love this garden and all the sights.
Great wedding venue
Clark Gardens has to be one the most prettiest places around Mineral Wells. My most favorite time of the year to visit is spring because the iriss are in bloom. Christmas was also a favorite of mine when they threw a giant party with food and reindeer. Sadly they have stopped with the events. But that doesnt make it less pretty.
Love it..and I can bring my dog
Spent a few hours strolling the gardens on an overnight excursion for my wifes birthday. We make an effort to tour botanical gardens whenever we travel. This was the first time we made a garden tour a destination trip. We were not disappointed. A friend reccomend Clark garden. Thank you Charlotte. Its Beautiful and very accessible. Be sure to tour the Iris garden by the entrance. When you see an Iris that you cant live without and you will, you can walk over the potting area and buy one. We will be back.
Everything is weeds no care taking. No working scenery everything is just sparsely laid out plots of flowers or plants with signs. Drove a long way for something that looked like it died 20 years ago. And charges you $20 to see it
Fantastic Place !
Beautiful place.
