The Garden was beautiful and the people were so nice. We felt honored and grateful to be so close to the oval office and White House. We would love an interior tour!
It was beautiful but a little bit too cold at night. Must go in the day time. You wont see the little stubby orange man with the wig lol. Enjoy
A dream place, most people know from TV. If you stand there, everyone will think Thats great ! .
It is a great place . I dont even have to mention. Lots of people and of course security. I had an amazing time walking around . The pictures that Im posting are from 4th of July thats why they look like horror movie trailer.
Had a chance to see democracy at work, statehood, and the importance of Civics in the schools.
Wow HouseWow one the best place to visit. It looks to much coolEvery where only white colour of house and the grass green colourIt looks to much osmmmI am Indian Tourister. And I like this place very muchHope one day I will live in that houseAnd the interior of that house is omgReally it looks too much osmmI whsh to buy it but its too much costly.I recommend my every friend to visit that placeNice place
I liked it but if you do the garden tour there is occasionally a big line, but its pretty and enjoyable.
It was cool. The national Christmas tree is worth seeing if youre nearby. There are a bunch of model trains around it as well, which are fun. Its probably better people watching that being impressed by a tree but thats good too.
Walking around the capitol is full of fun things and places to see
Being from California and moving to the east coast this was such a beautiful thing to see .. lots of traffic.. over priced water and food.. make sure u bring your own waters it was very hot out the day we went lots and lots of police.. and we got to see the president drive by us at least we thought it was him they shut down the roads and ju6 a few minutes before that we saw the president helicopter fly in over us so thats why we think we saw him drive by us and plus the vehicle he was or whomever it was had the president flags on the front it was such a lucky opportunity to just be able to walk around and see this amazing place
The opportunity to see the White House was amazing! You only get to see a small part but is just beautiful!
All the amazing history to stand where so many influential people have stood.
Hopefully this place in any other year is not so sad. The fencing is an eyesore, but atleast is gives the public a place to express their distaste in our current administration.
I went here. It was a witch hunt. One of the most beautiful pieces of chocolate cakes that you can eat at a witch hunt. Chi and I are pen pals. We write lotsa letters about cake and fast food. I hope my doctor will lie about my weight next year from eating all the most amazing chocolate Cake.
Its beautiful we had a great time walking around taking it all in
I love the architecture of the city.
Surreal to visit during a time in our present history.
The Lincoln Memorial took my breath away! It was such an amazing feeling/sight being in the park. I have to go back. I still didnt see everything I wanted to see! Omg, it was awesome!
Azo g to walk thehalls of the White House! We learned alot about each room we visited from the guards.
Inside the gates near the White House the lawn and garden are manucured to a godlike standard. Year round, the park is host to popular events such ad the Easter egg hunt, the pardon of the turkey and the lighting of the Christmas tree. Here, beauty is not just in the eye of the beholder.
Washington DC at unpresidented times. Protect our freedom to protest
I have never made it to this part of DC so this was an awesomely clear day to be outside. There was a great deal of security which was comforting after seeing some of the unique protesters we ran in to. The White House is so majestic and a bit overwhelming. I just love the architecture in DC. Too bad Trump was out of town. I will certainly visit again.
This park is absolutely beautiful. Ive have visited here every time Ive been to DC and its always stunning, especially in the spring. The park itself is very quiet with tons of benches along the walkways. Very well kept with lush greenery. Generally lots of people @ the gate to the south lawn, and also lots of visible top of the line security. Away from the South Lawn area though it is very serene with tons of squirrels scuttling by. A nice quiet break from the hustle and bustle of our nations capital.
Theres really two ways to see and photograph the actual White House. One of them is through the iron railings of this park. The other option is to circle round and get to the view area next to the Lafayette Park. This view gives you a rounder view of the White House and you can spend more time taking pictures. On the Lafayette Square side, you get the more iconic, columnar Athenian architecture side - Even as that side has more tourists hogging the viewing area.My recommendation: Do both! While here, look to your back: Theres the terrific Eisenhower Building and the gorgeous First Division Memorial.
I really liked the area, it was well maintained and wasn’t to busy. I liked the fact that there were food trucks, police, and scooters all over the place were you only had to down load an app pay and take off.
This place is pretty cool. Great place to play Pokémon go
Its closed at the moment but the little its open now is really really nice
Great place to come and relax. Beautiful scenery
Everything about DC is fun. Lots of walking though so bring your walking shoes or plan to ride a scooter. Remember, pedestrians have the right of way so go around them or slow down
Kind of fun to see the White House but they have put a fence around the park so you can barely peer in and see the White House far off in the distance
This locale is fine and well manicured. The issue is with heightened security it has a bunch more barricades and fences than in some of these pictures. Still nice.
Walk, walk, walk... history and life of a nation. Wonderful to reflect and share the experiance with my youngest, he kept up with the walking but enjoyed all the sites. Take a back pack with snacks and water, may bring own bikes down next time.
Very nice setup with the tree on the lawn. Lots of security so you feel safe. They need to cut the trees so u can see more of Donald’s house.
Tour Washington on bikes! Such a fun and memorable day not to mention how quickly we were able to move around and see everything without feeling rushed!
From the Library of Congress to the State Capitol Building all the way to Arlington Cemetery is a long walk but you will enjoy so much history and gorgeous scenery and architecture.
First time to DC, I really liked it. Im planning a second trip.
Had a nice time.
I had a great time, but the protesters screaming and yelling was a big turn off
Presidents Park looks beautiful in December for Christmas time b/c the 56 Christ-mas trees display. One for each state, plus territories.
It was nice to look at. A very photogenic building.....interesting architecture
This is a great park with statues and monuments surrounding The White House grounds. The statue of Andrew Jackson was really impressive, and the view with The Washington Monument in the background gives an idea of just how tall that monument is. This is a great park and a joy to walk around before or after seeing The White House.
Defined a must see! Whether you are a tourist or local. Presidents park is a beautiful place. We take our grandkids here regularly to enjoy the buildings and surrounding greenery. It is a fantastic spot for photos and I highly recommend you take visiting family or friend to see it.
Say what you want about our politics, but if we can just be real for a minute, I still think this is a beautiful building and place, regardless of the negative associations people may or may not have with presidents who live or have lived here in the past. The building is impressive for how relatively small it is, and the gardens are very well-kept. However, I visited right before a presidential convoy in October, so I got kicked out of the area, and I didn’t feel that having secret service rifles pointed at my face was any fun, so my visit was short. Fortunately, I still had the north half of the Smithsonian and the Lincoln Memorial to visit, so I was preoccupied for the rest of the day. Go when the president isn’t there, for the maximum experience and most time.
There is the White House to visit. It’s in the middle of many free museums, and there are a lot of places to get food. If you want to see White House there is a lot of people and your pretty far away. Another thing to worry is how much people there may be so it might be hard to get a picture with no ones head and clothing in it. The park it’s self is fun to walk around, but what makes it exceptional is it’s location and accessibility to the free museums and attractions.
Nothing special. In Washington you can find a lot of places which are more interesting. Unfortunately at that moment when ive been there i couldnt make a good pictures. But i think its one of the most visited sightseeing in Washington.
What can you say? Its the White House and executive offices on Pennsylvania Avenue. It was beautiful in the spring with cherry blossoms and tulips!
Ive been interested in Bigfoot since I was a little kid he is special to me I have seen him several times in my life time and he is a intriguing species he is our neighbor and has been for a long time
The White house. It was gorgeous. Wish we could have seen more rooms.
So beautiful. You have to send application to go inside. Unfortunately I did not. I ll catch next time. Love the scenery. There was a fake donald trump working and everything. They had performers uplifting the crowd. It was a really nice experience. I would recommend. Free admission. The landscaping is awesome. Perfect place to visit for all ages
Nice outdoor seating. Good food.
Loved it! Everyone, book your White House tour through your Congressional representative. Its gorgeous!
It’s a busy place with manny people moving around. The place is secure.Place is always silent. The people are not allowed to cross the fencing. We should just walk no vehicles are allowed here. The tourists came to visit New York will definitely come here. To see and take a snap of park. The view is magnificent
Every president since John Adams has occupied the White House, and the history of this building extends far beyond the construction of its walls. The White House is both the home of the President of the United States and his family, and a museum of American history.
We usually go to see the national christmas tree every year and sometimes walk through the park other times when we are in town. There is parking within walking distance when there arent major events in the area. The crowds for the tree can be large on weekends so plan accordingly as some patience is required to make your way around.
Attended the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Even though it was so cold and security checks by the Secret Service were required, all was well planned, ran smoothly and best of all, what a memorable event presented by the National Park Foundation. Spectacular! The trees, model train, yule log, menorah. A must do at least once to celebrate the Holiday Season and to stroll the Park at other times too.
Home of our president. Very sad what has become of the surrounding neighborhood
Beautiful park with great views of the White House. Lots of flowers and very well landscaped. I recommend visiting if you are in DC.
Must see Christmas display. Real tree transplanted and surrounded by lights. Smaller trees all around for each state and territory with ornaments from that state. Some years there have been free pictures with Santa and a large wood fire pit, but has not been there the past few years. Recommend at night, parking available on Constitution after 7 (I think it’s free then)
Great views...was able to walk through here after doing the White House tour.
Nice park with many seats and squirrels. A good place to take photos of the white house.
Nice place to see it once. Nothing really special about it other than a landmark.
Amazing place. Everybody should visit it.
Great place to visit ..however the demonstrators are very annoying and especially the ones with bullhorns...just kills the glory of the place..shouting profanities and ignorance
Lots of historical significance, worth seeing--paricularly the various statues and grounds. However, the area is protected to the point of being foreboding (in not necessarily a good way). Guards are professional though, and as gracious about it as they can be.
Not a well maintained park. Very patchy grass areas. You would think it would be a little more organized and landscaped better. Good view of the Small white house.
This has got to be one of the top bucket list items for most everyone. Really feel privileged to live in a Free Country. God Bless America and Our Constitutional Republic.
Amazing. I did a tour and it was fantastic.
Again a cool place to go right by the White House
We love this area. We went several times to several of these locations and rented the electric scooters. LYFT
Good to see this in person
A must visit place.I have been here many times, but its always good to stop by each time you are in Washington DC area, as long as your schedule permits.Recommended my friends to go and they had an awesome experience with their families.
It was free to park my car last January 2017. Really nice walk that I guess the people that live there are so used to it that its not observed the same way. Lots of large black squirrels running around. Everyone I spoke to were amazing, helpful, polite. Nice change from Florida! My daughter got to pet Jango, the security dog that sniffs every car driving into the White house. It was obvious we love animals especially dogs ;) it was a very positive experience that I recommend to any peaceful person that poses no threat to the United States of America!
This is just WOW place with full accessibility for Disabled and senior citizens beautiful garden outside and inside washroom facilities available for disabled and senior citizens. Huge place with full of gardens. Greenery is available. You can visit with your family and friends historical places.
White house as graceful as we see it in the movies. The master piece architect.
We couldnt get close gates was around it
Other than the protection barriers, these statues are a great reminder of our past.
Simply amazing! If you ever have an opportunity to visit, take it.
Not the Whitehouse I remember. I Think POTUS is taking it too literally
Great views of the White House from this historic location. This is a great spot to visit when in Washington D.C. Also note that Dolly Madisons house is on the corner and part of the complex for the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Regardless of political affiliation - a visit to the White House is something everyone should do. There is too much history and tradition at stake to avoid it. Get tickets through your representitive and be prepared for a security screening. Afterward - enjoy taking it in amd dont hesitate to ask questions of the agents stationed in each room. Take the time to appreciate our nations history & government.
Always a pleasure to see the iconic White House, the inevitable protestors and literature providers, couples, foreigners and visitors. When I first lived in DC you drove right by the White House on Pennsylvania Ave. This visit you could only look on from the Park across the street. No less beautiful however. Today the biggest difference are the ubiquitous electric scooters scattered on the sidewalks.
#WeVapeWeVote rally. Park service was professional and helpful. The park was clean when we arrived and we left it clean when we left. I cant stress enough how friendly officials were. Even DC police was friendly and assisted us moving across the street (we had to vacate the park temporarily while Marine 1 took off from the White House).
A first person view of the White House! Clean and well kept! Alot of security as well!
Awesome park with beautiful constructions!
We were on the Hop on Hop off trolley great way to see and hear about the monuments.
Renovations taking place on the fence around the front of the White House. Otherwise things are very nice in late summer.
Great place to visit. Very nice place take pictures as well.
More beautiful than even the Whitehouse inside.
I had a wonderful time at The Presidents Park. I sat in the park for several minutes after viewing The White House. The next time I visit, I will take picnic lunch to enjoy in the park. The Presidents Park is very peaceful and welcoming.
Can not get near the White House like you use to. All kinds of stuff hanging on the fence line. Not like the DC that it use to be.
My first time see the white house is awesome!
Presidents Park is located in Washington, D.C.. It encompasses the White House including the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, the Treasury Building (Washington, D.C.), and grounds; the White House Visitor Center; Lafayette Square; and The Ellipse. The president of the United States lives in a National parkEvery preident except George Washington has called the White House and its surrounding grounds his place of work, rest, and solitude. Recognizable around the world, the White House stands as a symbol of democracy.
Really interesting place, in front of the White House. I was visiting this parc for the first time, and that was amazing for me to come here. I was a bit sad that some roadsworks were present in front of the white house, but its always interesting to discover this type of famous places. Quiet place that takes place in a huge city.
Would have been nice to visit if the President didnt place a fence around it.
Nice view and healthy environment!
An amazing experience at the Easter Egg Roll!
Very nice at Christmas time
