If you are from out of town and looking for a fun place to take kids and hang out this is the perfect place! $5 a person to swing and under 4 years old is free. There is plenty of area to layout either inside or outside. The area for the kids is perfect with slides, lazy river, and small area where kids can slide and swing and play. Go check it out!
Stopped here with my kiddos from out of town, the center was fun but we were treated poorly by the staff for wearing masks. They told us that we don’t wear those around here. I said we are being safe and then they laughed at us. Not sure what’s going on here But it was a bit embarrassing since it’s a public city owned facility. Wasn’t expecting to be mocked in front of my small children for being safe but I guess that’s how they do things here.
It was our first visit, but definitely not the last. Id advise to arrive at 12 pm, because we got there right after 1 pm and they had everyone leave the pool until 2 pm. We used the time to buy snacks and drinks from the snack bar. The prices are very reasonable. $1 for a big size popcorn, $2 pretzels, .75 cents small bag of chips, etc. Then at 3 pm everyone had to leave pool until 3:40 pm. We loved that it wasnt too crowded . Make sure to bring sunscreen. Half of the lazy river is outside. There is a splash pad outside. I assumed it was all indoors and didnt bring sunscreen, so we got sunburned, but lesson learned. You can bring your own lifejacket, but no tubes etc. Admission is $5 per person and kids 3 and under are free. We will be coming back next week. The kids had a blast. The big pool doesnt really get deeper than 3. And at the begging its super shallow by the small slides. Plenty of lounging chairs and food court tables.
Great pools. Fun splash pool with slides, etc for kids and families as well as a very nice lap swim pool. Its not too chlorinated which is nice. Only $5 for a day pass. Well worth it.
We have only used the pool, so I cant speak to the rest of the facility, but the pool is awesome! Best place to swim in Washington County. Lots of activities for the little ones, and a super fun slide for the not-so-little ones. ;)Staff are friendly, the food at the concession stand is yummy and cheap, and its kept pretty clean, all things considered. If you come during the summer, the south and west walls are opened up to the outside areas and splash pad, which creates really nice ventilation (the chlorine smell is much lower than most other indoor pools).Weve brought our kids here many times and they always beg to come back.
No one was there, had the lap pool all to myself. I go to the gym often and they have all the equipment you need. Overall worth it if you use the membership.
I grew up going to this place from the age of 6 all the way to 14(which is how old i am right now), right now i am on my high school swim team and before that i played 3 years of basketball here, i also spent way too many hours at the pool, or the rock climbing wall with my friends, but to finish up, this place has everything. It has made many boring days into so much fun, and THE SLIDE IS INCREDIBLE!!!!!!
Been going there for years now love it very nice staff nice gym and pool
Always fun times here. What a great facility. Lots to do for the kids and the pool has entertainment for all ages. I have played basketball tournaments here. Climbed the rock wall. Birthday parties. Swim parties. Snacks. And other events. I dont think i have done a small portion of what can be done at this place. If you need to work out or cool the kids off thos is a great place for all
This place is great and fun. the only things i dont like abt it is that you cannot bring in your own food to eat. there is also no diving board and there are never many food items at the concessions when its on the menu. :((
Clean facility with lots to enjoy for the whole family at a decent price. Pool, gym, indoor rock wall, indoor track, basket ball courts, classes, really worth the price!
I love the swimming pool and the Rockwall but the pool needs to be a little bit deeper
Enjoyed watching volleyball.
I took my nephews and they loved it! The pool is a great way to beat the heat but stay out of the sun.
I love this place! The staff is super nice and the pool area is awesome. Lots of work out equipment.
Great place to go.
Great for all ages, lazy river is so relaxing. Its great that its mostly shaded
I love this place. Its clean and pretty cheep.
We love this facility - it offers so much for everyone in the community. My kids enjoy taking swimming lessons here. They used to take dance classes here too and they were wonderful! I love that there is an indoor track too.
My kids loved this place. During our vacation it was rainy so we stumbled upon this place. We ended up coming back here 3 times that week. It was a lot of fun and there were a lot of kids in o play with.
We wanted a membership and got one that will work well. Glad to have a safe place to excerse, clean restroom family friendly
I used to work here for a time and I loved it. They have an awesome artificial climbing wall that is great for amateur climbers but can also be challenging for experienced climbers as well, depending on which route you do. Its really nice if the weather isnt great for outdoor climbing. They also put on a lot of community events of which I had a part in planning. They have multiple spaces in the community center that you can rent for private events, large and small. The center also has great exercise classes, fun affordable events, and of course indoor swimming.
This rec center is a blast. If I lived on that side of town we would own a family pass. It is where my kids beg to go for our family outings.Rock climbing, gym, meeting rooms, patio, and swimming. It’s all awesome.
DONT PAY FOR THE ANNUAL PASS! Our family bought the annual pass to save the headache of having to pay another bill each month. We love the community center and have enjoyed our membership there. We had a family emergency come up that took us away from the area. We were about half way through our annual pass and could have used the $200-$300 to help us move. On the back of our contract it said there could be refunds on the annual pass if circumstances permitted it. I guess us having to move to take care of family wasn’t an unforeseen instance. I feel robbed. Won’t ever pay for an annual pass anywhere again that ties me to a location. I was super let down by this experience. Washington City has usually been really good to work with.
Very fun pool and their fitness classes are nice too.
Has to be one of the best city recreation centers in the country. The Aquatic center is very highly rated by the experts, (my 3 granddaughters, and my 3 nephews). They loved the pool area and water features. I wish our city had such fine facilities. Kudos Washington!
Decent set up. The aquatic features (slide, kid areas, lazy river) were average. Lap pool was full and no one wanted to leave. Went during winter so the splash pad and outdoor pools were closed. Positives: big locker rooms and changing areas, plenty of seats and lounge chairs. Negatives: no diving boards, showers are open and communal vs private (felt like I was back in 7th grade PE) showering with a bunch of strangers is never fun. They have a snack bar but literally were out of everything. All things considered if you need to kill a few hours and you dont have access to a hotel pool check this place out.
Came here to dance with Heart of Country swing and was very impressed with the quality of the facility
This is a very awesome pool and all of the facilities are beautifully maintained. My kids love coming here whenever we are in the area.
I took my four kids here with a whole bunch of extended family and they all had a blast. We went to the leisure pool. I was relieved to see that the pool is covered, but outside is still accessible, so if you wanted to lay in the sun you could, but then I didnt have to spend the time putting sunscreen on all my kids. Theres a fun covered slide and a baby/toddler area, as well as another fun section for the 6-10 age range. Highly recommend.
Clean, great equipment, people nice.
Amazing place with so much to offer. Taking our kids there to play in the pool and having them take swimming lessons has been great. We go back all the timeAdd on:We love to take our kids here. There are so many things to do here for kids, adults, and seniors. Basketball courts, running tracks, workout equipment, lap pools, and a fun pool section for kids. It’s very affordable ($5) but can provide hours of fun. We always take our family here for a day of fun for such a great price.
Perfect for family fun water slide and fun pool
We enjoy going early morning and walking in the pool. There are so many things to choose from at our community center! The people are helpful and seem happy to help you.
Its a good place, love the water aerobics class with Caitlyn 3 mornings a week, shes very nice, & has great exercise moves & music! Front staff is nice & helpful, I would give the place 5 stars but the showers need cleaning attention! Hope it gets better!
We have a membership here and love going almost everyday. My husband and I can work out and the kids can swim. My son takes swim lessons here also and the instructors are great.
I just started coming to this place to swim laps due to the gym that I was swimming at (Vasa) was so dirty. I love this place in every way. Plenty of laps in lap pool and CLEAN! People shower before use which is called for and respected. The family pool is warmer and fun with the lazy river effects area. Staff is vey friendly. The $5. daily use fee is very reasonable for such a top notch place. I will be joining for the lap swim benefits.
Good place for the family.
Very nice facility that we visit every time we’re in St George, we prefer this over the Sand Hollow Rec Center in St George. Lots of family changing rooms, lots of fun activities for the kids to do! We only wish we could have found this sooner! Lots of good places to eat are a short drive away.
Great maintenance staff!
I enjoy this location for the variety of things to do. I dont like that at 8am they never seem to have an exercise class going, and that about 3 days a week a group of adults show up in the weight room, start grunting and throwing the weights around.I love that the swimming lanes usually have a lane open all the time, and that everyone there is very friendly.
New years was awesome and I love to swim
Great place for family fun and fitness. Great basketball facilities.
When I visited the Washington city community Center it was to go swimming! It was a awesome pool awesome experience.
We love going there with our kids because of the veriety of slides and water toys that are all indoor and outdoor. We appreciate the great swimming teachers and friendly staff as we have been taking our kids to swim. They also have fun rock walls and gyms and community events and classes.Be sure to look at their site to make sure you go when it isnt swim practice or something like that going on or you may show up and have to wait for parts of the pool to open. All around fun though.
Best indoor pool to take your kids, the daycare is clean for the little ones and it doesnt cost an atm and a leg
Way better than any other Community Center Ive been too especially for swimming.
Had a blast with the kids
It is a great place to swim, but I don’t like that I have to pay a $5 entrance fee even if I am not swimming just to watch my children swim. I’ll go to Sand Hollow Aquatic Center instead where I can watch comfortably and quietly through a window or watch my kids near the pool for free.
We love swimming here year round!
We were down visiting from salt lake, we had a down day and figured wed hit the local community center to go swimming. I was very impressed, although disappointed at the same time. The large slide was down due to an electrical issue which so happened to knock out some of the lights as well. The lighting wasnt much of an issue, but we did have to cut it short as they closed at 5pm to care to the issues. Overall the kids had a ton of fun, our short 7 yr old could touch everywhere in the pool, that just made their day. I took some time to myself to swim a few laps in the lap pool. According to my watch they were 25m lanes, which there were about 7 lanes available. Will visit again, hopefully the slide is up.
Change your operational times to include both the pool closing times and the community center closing times. Not cool to say 8 pm and actually close the pool at 6 pm.
We were part of a party that was fully paid for, but we had to pay to get in, even after telling them we were part of a family reunion. We went back to get our admission returned after confirming we had double paid them. They refused to refund our money. The facility was fine, but the staff had very disappointing customer service.
This place was awesome for a $1 shower while passing through town. Awesome facility, $5 for full access. They even have a climbing wall.
We were in Washington visiting family and I took my boys here for a fun evening of swimming. They had a blast! Super awesome facility and really decent price for visitors. We stayed for several hours and really enjoyed ourselves!
Great place for a quick workout.
Beautiful place great staff fair pricing
We loved this place! Came from Salt Lake for a reunion for the day. Amazing facilities. Glad we brought a blanket and umbrella because there were some longer times waiting while the pool was checked or cleaned. Facility opens up to be an indoor/ outdoor pool. Our kids loved it - ages 8,6,4 and 2
We attended the Star 98 radio party, the food was alright, the swimming was fun.
Great pool, love the slide and the lazy river.
Fun pool. Little chilly in November :)
This community center is very large and one of the best around. It doesnt cost much to get in (around $5) and you have access to so much. It consists of a gym and workout area including a track you can run. Several gymnasiums to play basketball or volleyball. It even has a climbing wall you can tackle. In the summertime it has a pool are and water features for kids. Surrounding and in the pool is a large slide and some smaller ones, lazy river, and an outdoor splash pad. There is also a lap pool that you can swim seriously in. So much to offer for the community.
Been here before we love the indoor out door
This place is awesome. Very well kept, affordable, and fun for all ages
Super impressed with this place. Took the kids for indoor swimming in January. Lots to do and plenty warm. Only five bucks each for all access!
Great place, will be returning when it gets too close to swim in my pool.
A large well kept facility with many activities for both kids and adults. The lifeguards were always actively watching. There is a lap pool as well as a water slide and play area for the kids. There are multiple Courts for basketball volleyball and other activities. The Climbing Wall has multiple levels of difficulty on it. The staff was friendly and eager to help with any questions.Overall an extremely good experience.
For Christmas my wife got the whole family a year pass and this place is great! They have something for everyone. Swimming, basketball, rock climbing, weights, etc.
Super friendly staff, plenty of things to do. Awesome place!
Pretty diverse set of activities. Has a fantastic public pool, nice locker rooms, the only indoor rock climbing wall (as of right now until Contact Climbing opens the end of 2019) in St. George. Average weight lifting area. Track around the building. Cardio equipment. Tons of basketball courts. Overall a great place to come stay active in St. George if you like a diverse variety of activities. I personally mostly go for the climbing wall.
Great place to work out.
Lots of fun things to do but the pool had way too much chlorine.
One of the greatest place to take your kids
Kids had an awesome time and cooled down at the same time!
Staff here is incredible no matter what part of the facility you are in. The pool is always has the perfect amount of lifeguards and safety equipment. Excellent place to swim, workout, or just have fun!
If you havent been, your missing out!!!Great for everyone of all ages.
Great pool. Big slide you can bring a little kid on with you. Indoor and outdoor. Just wish there was a hot tub
Extremely helpful!
The pool far exceeded our expectations. We were especially impressed with the baby area and the awesome lazy river that was very fast moving and fun. Fair prices. We had a great experience!
Lots to do. Kids love it. Up keep is great!
My husband and I work out here, lots of classes, treadmills, free weights and pool. Just tried the TRX class for the 1st time, Ive never sweated more in my life. Such a great workout. My body is still sore from 2 days ago.
We had family in town and decided to come here to go swimming. They had a blast. Five dollars for the day was a great way to stay cool on 107 heat
Nice acility with a lots of activity. Plenty of parking I wouldnt say its the easiest to get to you have to kind of find your way through a bunch of neighborhoods. Facility is generally pretty clean
They have a lazy river, wading pool, lap pool and splash pad. Its pretty cool. Most of it is indoors but theyll usually open up the big garage doors in the summer. Definitely worth checking out if youre looking to swim.
It was nice. The pools playground was a lot of fun for the kids. I wish the water wasnt so warm... Would have been more refreshing on a hot day
Very clean facility with a LOT to do. Great way to spend an entire day.
It is a good spot to workout. Pool could be a bit better and the Rockwall assistance could too
Good place for kids sports. My daughter plays basketball here and the facilities are pretty good. They have a nice little goodie shack that has drinks and treats and simple snack foods. It has bleachers to sit in and watch or you can watch from upstairs on the upper level that has a balcony that looks over the court. The front desk staff is very friendly and informative. They were also quite organized for a small town recreation program.
Not bad compared to what else is offered in the city for indoor recreation... Awesome pool area. Could use a little revamping and music overall. Love the fact that I can bring my baby and utilize the stroller track lane.
Wow! So happy to have discovered this center. Great place for the family and all ages. Swim, workout, play and socialize. A wide variety of classes and activities. Everyone is helpful and friendly.
My family really enjoys the rec center. $5/ person for all the amenities. They have large indoor swimming which is fun for kids of all ages. And that is what keeps us coming back. They have small sectioned off area for toddlers and a play structure with lots of gadgets for preschoolers/school agers, lazy river, lounging pool, and water slide. There is a separate pool for laps. There are several lounge chairs along the pool. Locker rooms and family changing rooms are available. There is a snack bar, basketball court, small rock wall, foosball and many other amenities we have not yet explored.
The Rec Center is pretty fun, especially for kids. The pool area is huge, and offers lots to keep the kids entertained. The weight room area could use some improvement. They have all the basics you would need, but if there is anyone else working the same body group as you, youll end up waiting to use equipment. But all together we like it.
Lots of choices here. Theres great family swimming, splash pad, lazy river, lap pool, slide, basketball gyms, exercise classes, weights, exercise equipment and more.
They have a public shower for one dollar and thats about it. Kids and adults can rock climb on an indoor wall, and there are two basketball courts with one court having an overhead track. I grade this recreation facility a two star due to its expansive prices. Their yearly pass membership is a ridiculous $250.00. And this doesnt include tennis or pickleball. They have an outdoor pool but it closes at eight oclock every night. They have basketball leagues and other family fun games but its a RIP-OFF overall.
Not exactly that much to do with the swimming pool.
