Nice, big playground for many age groups. Convenient to friendship heights shopping and metro. Starting to get run down, and homeless sleep and hang out just outside the fence. Lots of toy cars, bikes, and other rideable vehicles, but most in some state of disrepair or just downright filthy. We like this park, but I am constantly scanning for needles or bottles
This park is awesome! Nice and shady. Water play area and lots of fun used toys to use. Put it altogether with a solid set of playground sets. You got yourself a great place to take your kids!
Its a great safe clean spot.
One of the best. Fun time and well kept park. I recommend you all to come here (Just wait for the weather to get warmer)...
Today was an open house for the co-operative play and the teacher Ms. Bianca wasnt welcoming at all. We brought our little one and we didnt see on the website that parents shouldnt bring kids to the open house. Okay, sorry we didnt notice that on the website but this teacher was rude and she asked us to go out with our baby girl! Our baby was only watching the other kids and was curious to listen to the story time that one parent was reading to all other kids. Also, our child was concerned because she has to see the place where she is supposed to spend a lot of time... This teacher can excuse us specially if our baby doesnt bother the class or be nice and more communicative without agressing us. We decide to stop here and not enroll our child due to the behaviour of this teacher and her lack of communication. She spoke loud and she was so stressed. We were received by a nice parent who was supposed to manage the open house and unfortunately this teacher demotivated us to follow the visit. DPR administration, I think that you should welcome the visitors with kids to be sure if they will like the place or not. Also you should manage better your open house and improve the circumstances to receive new parents. The place was small and noisy to stay focused with the parent who managed the open house. Very bad and disappointed experience.
Great playground in Chevy Chase. Baseball feild, tennis and basketball courts, and two large playgrounds with equipment for various ages. Plus a sandbox. Well-kept and clean, and the on-the-street parking usually has plenty of spaces.
Really neat and fun place for kids
Splash park is great for toddlers and preschoolers in the summertime.
A nice, well-appointed playground with basketball courts for peewees and adults, tennis, handball, baseball, softball, kids playground apparatuses and a rec center with restroom.
Well-maintained and upgraded with soft turf for the playgrounds, fountains to play in during the summer, basketball court and baseball field, and plenty of space to play. This place is well-located between Chevy Chase Circle and Friendship Heights near the Maryland/DC border, with plenty of other activities nearby. A day outdoors in this neighborhood is not wasted!
Really well kept park with a large playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, a baseball field and a dog park!
Nice neighborhood playground.
Pretty much everything you could want in one location - splash park, jungle gym (several), swing sets, tennis courts, basketball courts (including mini-courts for kids), and a baseball field. Theres even a nice club house where they host events and other activities for kids.
Fun neighborhood park.
Great neighborhood park. Good range of play equipment toddlers through 10 year olds. Which may be a drawback, larger kids are moving fast in proximity to the children that are just figuring out how walking works, which sometimes leads to anxious parents/caregivers. Play area has padded rubber chip ground to reduce fall damage. Plenty of donated toys to share, but many are well loved. Small indoor space seems to be for scheduled preschool activities but there are public bathrooms on site.
Park is great. The minute I stepped outside the gate though I stepped in dog poop.
Cute, quiet park with play equipment for 2-5 and 5-10 year olds. Great spray area and rec office where you can check out games and puzzles for non- digital family time.
Great playground for kids, but I wish the dog park was nicer. Its the only dog park near me, but its really small and lacking in equipment.
Grew up here great place for Kiddos!
