Benning Stoddart Recreation Center is a modern recreation center on the border between Fort Dupont and Benning in Ward 7. Its right next to the Washington Tennis and Education East Capitol Campus.The inside is closed due to the pandemic, but the space-themed playground in the front is open. Theres a small splash park (also closed during the pandemic), swings, several slides and equipment for kids to climb on and grow in confidence.Parking is free right in front of the recreation center.

Bending Stoddert Rec is a Beautiful place .Voting was very fast and the people that where voting were nice we had a lot of fun.

Kids had a blast and didnt want to leave the park! Kept us cool on a hot day!

The employees make Benning Stoddert a great recreation center. DPR could have built a better, and larger facility. The rec is small compared to other recreational centers in DC. They have a ton of activities for all ages including seniors. For this facility to have that many people in and out during several times of the day it can be very chaotic. The 5 stars go to the employees at Benning Stoddert and the programs they have. The facility gets 2.5 stars. Although its slightly better than years ago it could have been an awesome rec center if they took the time to listen to the community.

Great staff who get to know the kids and their families. The facilities are very nice as well.

Every time Ive been to this park Ive had a great time Im here today with my nephew my granddaughter my daughter and the rest of my family were having a blast been started is a great place to have fun at this water park they have thats three buckets that pours on you when they get full youll love it I recommend this for anyone that has a family that loves to play in the water

Long awaited. The play area is compact yet more than sufficient, and allows parents to more easily monitor their little ones. Instead of the usual rubber play surface topper, developpers chose green turf which is aesthetically pleasing though it may hide small objects that have been dropped. There is no pool, but the splash area is perfect for hot summer days.
