Had a great time when I was here back in 2016 or so. Was just reading and this house came up in the text so wanted to make sure I left a great review .

The restoration and history on display is exquisite. Bill was charming and really have a personal touch to L. Ron Hubbard and the humble beginnings of Scientology. We intended to spend an hour going through the house museum and ended up being there for 3 1/2 hours. There is just so much of Mr. Hubbards life chronicled here. I am told you can move through the whole museum in 20 minutes if you are short on time, but I highly recommend taking a longer tour.

An extremely interesting place even for a complete outsider to learn about the life of L Ron Hubbard and the history of scientology. You can get a private tour (for free) if you call ahead and I found the guide to be very knowledgeable. She was even willing to answer some of my more critical questions (although it was a clear advertisement for scientology). I think its always worth checking out cultures or mindsets which differ from your own, and this house is one way to do that. Its not one of the more publicized exhibits in DC, but is definitely interesting.

What a cool and historical place. I grow up here in DC and from time to time I would come to DuPont Circle to go to the bookstore back in the day. I never knew this museum was even here. My mom love museums and she and decided to visit. The tour guide was full of interesting stories and we got a real nice history lesson.

I have known about L. Ron Hubbard for many years but learnt so much about him and especially those who he learnt from. Another amazing thing was seeing the history and birthplace of Scientology in its earliest days. Amazing to see the growth of the religion to a world-wide movement with the beginings so humble. Really impressive. Also, the curator really knows what he is talking about (especially since he knew Hubbard personally) and brought the place to life wonderfully.

The museum is quite beautiful with fascinating memorabilia from the old days - from telex and mimeograph machines to upright typewriters. Wow how technology has changed. To learn about the life of LRH was great, and to see his medals and National Geographic award winning photography was fantastic. Its a place you really want to visit while in D.C. for sure. That is, if you are any at all interested in how great people came up through life, traveled and worked hard to contribute to the well being of this planet.

Very interesting hidden museum off the beaten path. Definitely recommended, especially if you want a unique experience and get away from the tourists for a few hours.

My First trip to the LRH House Musem in 2011 was exciting! The second trip is where I was able to truly embrace all the great adventures L Ron Hubbard embarked on, seeing and touch ORGINAL artifacts from his life’s Journey was absolutely amazing! He had the coolest view from his desk I just wanted to stay and enjoy the view! There is so much to know and learn at the museum! I am looking forward to the amazing guided tour and bringing more of my friends with me!

A tribute to a lifetime of lying. This organization´s pr is an extension of the founder´s habitual lying about his background and achievements.L. Ron Hubbard was not, as this so-called church asserts, mankinds best friend. He was neither a pioneer nor a humanitarian. He did not employ rigorous scientific methods, deeply study the spiritual masters of the east, or create a valid therapy or a path to spiritual salvation. He created a cult which enabled him to stuff millions into secret bank accounts while he was alive(a legacy that Miscavige continues, to the tune of billions now, in 2017, when this is being written) and to control and abuse his followers for his own twisted, sadistic gratification. There are a plethora of FOIA (Freedom Of Information Act) documents online that illuminate, in great detail, Hubbards academic record, military service record, criminal record(including records for convictions in other countries outside of the US), FBI investigation record, FDA investigation record, and other sordid aspects of this drug-abusing occultists life. This place is a spiritual garbage heap, a toxic waste dump, and a case study of cult propaganda. Also, to further erase the stench of lies presented in this place, do read Chris Owens Ron The War Hero: The True Story of L. Ron Hubbards Calamitous Military Career, published by Silvertail Books.
