Went to take grandchildren to the museum because the school system is not teaching them the correct information. So we arrived during the business hours and it was not opened. Called the number on the website and did not receive a return phone call. Still would like to take them before they go back home up north.

A wonderful place very professionally put together. Leesa Jones gave us a special presentation. This is a gem of Washington that we should all contribute to!

This is a must-see in Little Washington, NC. Curators Lisa & Milton tell the local story of the Underground Railroad and Black life in this then-bustling port. They even sing a song or two! Lots of objective, balanced history without malice given which was not in our Southern nor Northern history books.

This place might be small but it is overflowing with amazing information. The volunteers are also very knowledgable and friendly and they go the extra mile to give you information.
