The Laugh Index Theatre is an incredible community of improvisers, stand-up comedians, writers, and actors. Watching the shows is great and being a part of the theater is even better. During quarantine, LIT has continued presenting shows and classes virtually. Definitely recommend checking LIT out

No, its not HBO, but it IS local comedy at its best. The improv/sketch are fun high-wire acts, and the Standups are all different and come from unique perspectives that are funny, different, and relatable. They also offer classes if you think you can do better. Give LIT a try.

The Laugh Index Theatre is great! I went and watched the sketch show on May 25th called Separate Beds and was impressed. The sketches were fun. I would recommend for a neat night out.

A great improv theatre in DC! Has lots of different teams doing different types of comedy; Stand-up, short-form, long-form and sketch. If you want to find like minded comedy people, this is the place to check out. Its just a good time. I joined a long form team, and we practiced one a week and have 2 shows a month, it allowed me an outlet in the usually all to serious DC world.

I have always wanted to write sketch comedy and perform just like Saturday Night Live, but moving to new york is not an option. Laugh Index Theatre gave me the opprotunity of my dreams. I am now a very skilled sketch writer and performer thanks to the amazing directors at LIT. This place is a one stop shop to learn, perform, and watch comedy in D.C.

Went to the staff team Hot & Sweatys show In The Hot Seat last week. It was hilarious. I havent seen long-form improv of this caliber in years. The sketches were also relevant and punchy. This is a great company and a great night out in Adams Morgan if youre looking for laughs!

LITs house team program has not only helped me become a better comedian, its introduced me to a ton of awesomely warm, funny people who are making the same kind of theatre. Great place to catch a hilarious show and meet new people.

Saw North Coast three times over one weekend and took a fantastic work shop from North Coast. Laugh Index Theatre made this possible and I love them for that.
