Picked up burgers, fries, ice cream, and wings. The burgers were some of the best we have had bar none! Patty was nice and thick with a nice crust and grilled through nicely but still super juicy and very well seasoned. The additional toppings were crisp and fresh. The fries were also seasoned well and had that crisp outside and soft inside, PERFECT! My daughter polished off half pound of BBQ wings, again not stingy with the sauce and the wings still had a nice crispy outside. One of the highlights of our brief stop in the area, will definitely stop in if in the area again.

Really enjoyed the yummy pizza from here. After moving from Norfolk this is the only pizza on this side of VA Beach I actually found tasty. So glad I decided to try it! I also loved the garlic knots. All pizza is not the same and Pungo Pizza stands out on top!

The garlic knots at Pungo pizza are amazing. If you go and don’t get some, you are doing yourself a disservice! The pizza is very good as well. Although it was crowded when we visited, the wait staff were very attentive and made sure we had refills on drinks.

Have to review this place after my nephew brought home the meat lovers stuffed pizza. This had to be the best meat lovers pizza Ive ever had hands down. I like how they even lattice the pizza with strips of dough. The meat of course was incredible and the crust/dough was outstanding.Going to have to try their other offerings!

Excellent food and service. There is a reason why they have been in business for years. Very friendly. You feel comfortable and feel like they actually go out if their way to ensure you are satisfied. I would recommend to anyone. Plan on taking out of town family here.

Let me tell you. This is without a doubt the BEST pizza I have ever had. It is perfectly salty, the cheese was amazing, literally everything about it. I almost ate the whole thing myself. Not overly greasy either. I think about this pizza every day, and as someone who is out-of-state, I cannot wait until I can come back to have it again! I would make the 5 hour drive back just to have this pizza again - no joke.

Beach Boys were playing in the background - (I love them, though Ive worn out my family, with them) - and perfect end of summer music!Now, the GARLIC KNOTS, well, in just a minute. The PIZZA was wonderful...(think very fresh BRICK OVEN, taste, even though it isnt - but its that good!) Now the PIZZA KNOTS, but wait... the ICE CREAM was FANTASTIC! Our sundaes were absolute heaven, (and this is from someone who can hardly ever finish their ice cream!) Food was good but service was awful. It was Sunday night with no adult manager in sight and the kid employees were spending morw time talking to each other than serving.Pizza came out before the salad!

I love the food there, it has amazing pizza. The garlic knots are awesome and in my opinion the best I have ever had. They have an arcade system in the place. I would totally recommend it to anybody who loves pizza, games, and ice cream. I hope you enjoy.

Food was great and people were super friendly. Only downside is they missed one of my meals. Being a vacationer and not knowing the area well, it sucked having to go back out and pick up a missed item. Plus, my food was cold when I got back because it wasnt missed. But we went back again later in the week and it was still awesome!

Food was great!! Server was not great. Asked what beer they had she told us to get up and look in glass door of fridge. She didnt know what they had. Then asked what ice cream they had and she again told us to get up and go look at the choices. As a server she should know those things.

I got a burger and fries and they were very good. My wife got the patty melt it was also very good. It took them to the beach and ate them and had a lovely time.

Love everything about pungo pizza! The cinnamon knots are a MUST. The Greek salad is constantly good. The pizza is the best in VB. I wish they delivered but I’ll gladly make the drive to pick up myself. Do yourself a favor and eat here!

Our baseball team went for pizza after a game and we couldnt all sit together, because they were busy and packed (pre-COVID packed). Before we got a chance to order we were told we could be moved to sit closer to the team. We said we would stay due to another team members family being left alone.The manager then told us it was reported that we were making inappropriate comments to another customer and still wanted us to move.We hadnt spoken to anyone in the restaurant. But were offended that we were accused. It didnt happen. All the tables around us defended us as well.We were never told the offensive comment we made until my husband called the owner to report the situation. The comment was about another customers size. Never happended!Owner said she didnt know what she could do about it.How about in the future you value ALL of your customers and if the person complaining is so upset, ..they move? Also, we didnt ask for or expect any compensation for our terrible experience, but it is the norm to offer. They clearly didnt care!

Been here twice. Got the pizza pie braided half veggies half meat lovers. It is addictive. Service is always great too. They are always really friendly.

Terrific casual place to go to eat for a quick bite or to hang out after a day in Pungo. Great place to bring kids as well with an arcade in the back to keep them occupied. Plenty of good food to choose from that should appeal to most appetites. Very pleasant staff. We always enjoy our stops at Pungo Pizza.

I like the crust but take a look at the bacon pizza. There’s no bacon on it. I would like to give this place a decent review but I can’t... for the price and lack of bacon it wasn’t worth it.The Tuscan was pretty good and the service was decent but our friends talked up the bacon pizza and it fell totally flat. Too bad. Save your money and buy domino’s.

Update: Came back, and I have to say the pizza tasted better for some reason. This time we tried the onion rings and man oh man, they are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, the homemade onion ring sauce is delicious. Our server James was the great, came out kept our drinks topped off and was there when you needed him. Cant say enough good things about this place, so glad to see a local business doing so well after the RONA shutdown!!!!!Amazing food, amazing service great atmosphere. Not only with the pizza delicious but the wait staff was very friendly and talkative oh, they made sure that our glasses were never empty and we had everything that we could ask for.

Best crust on a pizza I have ever had. Light, not chewy and very delicious. This pizza can rival many NY, NJ and PA pizzas. The staff is extremely nice and the service great. Dont miss this place when you are here in Virginia Beach.

Everytime I get pungo pizza either my food is messed up or something is forgotten. All the workers are young kids ALL over the place, can’t even eat or take out without workers all in your way running around!! ALSO THE MANAGERS ARE VERY RUDE !! The managers always have an attitude towards customers and it’s so unprofessional especially this one young lady named Naomi using foul language all over the place !!!! Definitely needs improvement!! Oh and they use foul language very often in front of customers I have a 7 yr old son who doesn’t need to come in a so called “family restaurant” hearing this and the managers sit there and laugh and curse with them!

Love the Thursday dine-in special 1/2 lb Black Angus burger with cheese and real French fries for under $7.00. You cant get this anywhere else, top quality meal, great hospitality and its one of our local businesses. Dinner for two at 20 bucks, come and get it!!!!

We ordered the Sunday special for pizzas. My wife and mother ordered the 16 Mediterranean for full price and I ordered the 12 for $6.00 plus 2 extra topping. On the very first slice of Mediterranean pizza my wife had, she bit into something very hard almost damaging her tooth. She pulled out a piece of glass. We got the manager on duty Sunday evening around 4:00pm. He told us he would give her a new Mediterranean pizza at no charge.We said ok. Well a new pizza was made. When we received the bill we had no charge for the Mediterranean but a FULL PRICE charge for the 12 which should have been charged out at $6.00 plus 2 topping!!We got the manager again, he said since he took off the 16 Mediterranean it will not ring any other way unless he adds the 16 Mediterranean back on the bill. I told him that is not correct, I was purchasing the Sunday special. With a little bit of attitude the manager told me if I wanted that special he would have to add the 16 Mediterranean back onto our bill.Now how is that for customer service!!!! I would have been fine with getting the price of the advertised special, but switching the price to full price was not right. Almost eating a piece of glass that was servedin the pizza and getting treated poorly by the manager is terrible customer service!!! The owner needs to correct their employees!!! Never will return!

For many years, this place has been a 5 star place for me. The pizza, the fries, the desserts, the appetizers, they are all so great everytime Ive been going.....until recently.I know that covid 19 has taken a toll on restaurants and they need to manage during these rough times, but pungo pizza doesnt really seem to make sense during this time. I arrived later today with a party of 11, and the server took us to the back and let me just tell you, there was so many flies in there! We were disgusted by the conditions of it. The server then said that we had to separate the family into booths and have some of them in a straight line in a booth where chairs would normally be on the opposite side. We tried asking if they could pull some chairs up for the adults and get the kids to sit in the two booths across from the big booth and make it convenient for other customers so we could social distance properly. The lady said that we couldnt (because apparently you can catch covid 19 if you sit in the chairs back there, who knew?) Well this logic was proven flawed later on when they sat us down in the front of the store, by combining two tables with a booth to sit us all in one. Later in our dinner, they sat a family right next to our booth, about a foot apart from us! Yeah pungo, talk about six feet apart! This wouldnt have been a problem if they just sat us in the back!Another thing is that the food quality and service has kind of dropped in the past few weeks. When my family ordered a few baskets of fries, they came out under cooked and some of them were even cold! We then asked for them to make us another batch but crispy like they have always been. Sadly, the second batch wasnt good either. Pizza was good but not the same as I have always tasted in the past few years of coming here. We asked for extra cheese on our pizzas, but when we got them, there was barely any on it and could see the bottom crust showing. Another thing was that there was ants crawling on the table and one of my family members found one in their drink! They really need to do some cleaning. It was never dirty like this before. I dont know if its under new management or not, but the quality of the restaurant has certainly gone downhill.I love pungo pizza and they have great food, but this visit just wasnt it. If you want to try pungo pizza, its best to go there when a pandemic isnt going on. In the meantime, my family and I are going to take a break from them, but arent done with them as we will be back. But I do hope that they get their situations resolved and restore their quality, and make more sense and logic with social distancing.

Ive ordered 2 times this week from pungo pizzas trying to support local business. My orders this week, have totaled almost 100 dollars. I tip the driver extra too! Tonight I ordered 2 lbs bone in wings and an order of boneless wings over 40 dollar order. And guess what one tiny tiny container of ranch. Talked to the manager scotty he did nothing but offer me free ranch next order there will be no next order

Staff is very friendly and attentive. Our waitress was the manager and she was spot on. Fried pickles are flavored with the right amount of seasoning, garlic knots are a must order and the pizza is loaded with toppings. Pizza dough has a good flavor. All deserts are in housemade and there is a wide variety of choices.

Have had pizza, wings and patty melt. Have not been disappoint with any of them. I can only eat the white pizzas.. Yummo. Only enjoy when visiting family. Wished there was one closer to home!

Do not go here without getting their amazing garlic knots, served with lots of garlic butter and homemade marinara. Plenty of different flavors of Hersheys Ice Cream. I was very pleasantly surprised by my meal here. The pizza was fresh and well-made and I enjoyed the taste.After living in Lago Mar for about 5 years I finally made my way out for dinner of high carbs and bad choices (before the pandemic).It has a real small town feel to it and has an outdoor patio with about 6 picnic tables where you can sit indoor/outdoor and watch the cars drive by and sit family style. It was crowded with large parties and groups last night.There really isnt anywhere at all to stand or sit or be out of the way of staff walking around and people coming and going when theyre really crowded and there were about 2 huge groups of 5-6 milling around that central area. Because we were a party of 2, we were immediately seated around the side by the ramp leading down into the arcade area which has even more seating in the back.Staff were exceedingly harried.We chose two starters.... the bacon and cheese fries and the fried jalapeño poppers. The fries were good, a large portion with cheese and bacon and a side of ranch. Nothing special, but good. I really disliked the jalapeño poppers. They tasted frozen or... not good. When I bit into the first one, water shot into my mouth, same with second. I didnt eat anymore.We split a pizza and did half and half. On one side, double bacon double pepperoni, on the other the afterburner with sausage, onions, jalapeño peppers, and chopped garlic. This was good - very spicy! The dough and crust were good.I also chose to get a small side salad with ranch - it was very good but again - water all in the bottom of the bowl.For dessert - they had a lot of pies and cheesecakes but I chose to go with the house made cannoli and we tried a slice of sprinkle cake with a scoop of birthday cake ice cream. The cake was moist and fresh and the ice cream was OK. The cannoli was very good and large and fresh.Service was pretty good... but she didnt check on us super often. It was really busy and cramped and loud and where we sat had people incessantly walking right past us to get to the kitchen, bathrooms, other tables, dessert counter, and deliver food from the back to the front.All in all - this was a good, small, local joint. I could see my dad loving it next time he comes to town. The food was good. Service was OK. Menu is fairly large with enough choices to please most everyone.

The best pizza in the Sandbridge / Princess Anne area. Were from NJ and Pungo Pizza has the closest style to NJ wet and folding pizza. Weve tried many places in the area and they dont match up to Pungo Pizza.

There is always a daily lunch special that is very good. We like to go on Thursdays and get the cheeseburger. The buns are toasted and crispy and the cheese is melted gooey, we love that. A very quaint, popular place for the locals.
