This was our first time staying at this property. We had a great time. Our room was clean and well stocked. They have a wonderful staff. I am really bad with names, however, their were two particular individuals who really stuck out and I commend them for their extraordinary customer service! That was Jackie and Charles who worked at the front desk! Jackie was so attentive and made sure we were comfortable during our entire stay. She is really a sweetheart! Charles was also amazing, very polite and has a genuine interest in making sure we enjoyed our stay! Their professionalism is unmatched. He even gave my kids some donuts! Super sweet! We will definitely be back before the end of the year. Great job Atrium, you have a customer for life!

My family and I loved it here, the room was open and spacious. There was a huge king size bed that fit me, my wife, and our 2 kids comfortably. The staff was very nice also, there was a young lady that just started working the night shift whos name im sorry i cant remember, but she relocated us to a corner room when my lovely neighbor complained that my baby was making too much noise . Everyone was very pleasant and friendly with my kids, and the pool was nice, Id go back again

When we walked in the young woman working the desk couldnt have cared less about customer service. Didnt even attempt to assist us with a request. Luckily all of the other staff were very professional and considerate. Its nice that the pool is indoors. Walking distance to the sea! The room furniture was not comfortable at all. The kitchen had a nice supply of pans, flatware and dishes. Room was well cleaned. Overall for the price, kitchen and location not a bad deal.

Great location --- centrally located within the Virginia Beach Hotel Resort area on 21st Street inbound, 22nd Street outbound on I-264. Ample parking under the building. Less than 2 blocks from the beach. Many good restaurants within walking distance. Rooms, spacious for 4 people, have small complete kitchens, rectangular dining table with 4 chairs, bathroom with tub & shower. Have immensely enjoyed visiting many years with family & friends.

We has 4 nights reserved and left after 2. The tvs in the living areas in both rooms we stayed in didnt work, the door didnt latch so my son nearly escaped, there was mold coming from the bar in the shower, another part of the shower was broken but appeared to be working and I nearly fell, and the pool is in the lobby. I was not at all impressed.

Great space for one or two people. Amenities are everything you need. Full stocked kitchenette, 2 tvs. King bed super comfortable! Plenty of Clean towels. Personnel working are so friendly. There are small maintenance wear and tear issues that need to be addressed. I would stay here again.

Overall good stay and clean room. I especially enjoyed having a small kitchen with appliances to cook our own meals which saved us a lot of money. Staff was friendly but a little bit slow to provide clean fresh towels. I slept great the first two nights but on our last night was kept up until 3 am because of the loud TV sound of other guests.

The refrigerator didn’t work so they had to replace it, after we unloaded our groceries in it. There was coffee in the coffee pot, there was sand on the furniture in the living room. The dishes had not been washed and it smelled awful. The hotel clerk did take care of those things but after unloading and unpacking we had to repack everything and leave for at least 4 hrs and go to our other party’s room. We then had to go get the blanket from front desk for the pull out couch. I wondered if the room was cleaned at all, not extra sanitized like one would expect in a pandemic. I hope my bed sheets were clean and I wish I took more photos. We stay there most times we go to Va Beach but we’re very disappointed this time.

Atrium was very nice. Loved the space and the staff was amazing. Due to covid the pool wasn’t only open for reservations in 30 minute increments. That was a bummer since we missed both of our reservations due to exploring other parts of the beach.

I would like to say that Peter, the manager at Ocean Key Resort, went above and beyond for us during our stay at Virginia Beach. Originally we arrived at Ocean Key Resort to find that their pool was closed due to vandalism. We were disappointed since the kids really were looking forward to having access to those amenities. Once we voiced our concern, Peter happily moved us the following day to The Atrium, their sister resort down the road. We were greeted by one of the sweetest staff, Lola. She was probably one of the nicest hotel personnel we met. She also wrote a personal happy birthday note since she knew we were celebrating a birthday! Couldn’t have asked for better hospitality and customer service! They did excellent making sure we were happy. Times are hard right now with Covid, and it’s always refreshing to be greeted with kindness and a smile. The rooms are clean and spacious compared to most hotel rooms. There’s no housekeeping but it’s pretty easy to get towels exchanged and more toilet paper. Thanks for a great week!

We were referred here after our first choice was unavailable on the labor day weekend. The room was nice, all the staff are nice, but there could have been more amenities, and it might have been a touch cleaner. I do realize it was labor day weekend so they were probably both busy and possibly understaffed.

Great location. Short walk to the boardwalk. Good sized rooms. Only bad thing was the exhaust fan doesnt work very well so the smoke alarm went off while cooking bacon in the morning:(

Wow this place is amazing! I have stayed at many of the hotels on the oceanfront and this place is impressive. On top of how unique the atmosphere and ambiance are. They staff are welcoming, and the place is clean! I will be back!

The rooms are old. The beds are like sleeping on a floor. Hot tub is not functioning. The maintenance man is rude. If I could give no stars this would be the place. Stay away!!

We had a terrible stay at the Atrium. The issues wee cleanliness of the room, a broken appliance, power outage, roach infestation, and a dog stay in the resort. First, the room smelled of vomit. The front desk staff offered us a new room, but we declined. I just wanted the room sprayed with disinfectant. Housekeeping took about 2 hours to come to spray the room. Two days later, my husband saw and killed 2 roaches in our room. Also, my other family members in the next room found and killed another roach. The dishwasher in their room didnt work. The power in their bedroom was not working for several hours. Maintenance came to spray for roaches and fix the dishwasher. They couldnt fix the dishwasher. I saw a guest with a dog stay at the resort. On the last night, another huge roach appeared. My family members called to have the room sprayed for roach. They immediately checked out of the room.

We had a great stay! Everyone was very friendly. Our car battery was dead when welhen we went to leave and an employee Larry was extremely helpful and was very friendly. 12/10 would recommend

Im not picky, but when we arrive at 4pm for check-in, after a long drive, and we dont get our room key until 6pm, then I get grumpy. Add to that the staff were not really wearing masks.. Well, they were, but not over their mouth and nose. And it is on 21st street which doesnt have access to the water, so calling this a waterfront hotel is a bit of a stretch.

The Atrium was a great choice. I was immediately met by a friendly and professional agent, Sasha who placed me in my room. I had an issue operating the input for my television andby the time Id hung up the phone there was staff at my door to make it right. The suite was spacious, clean and perfect to host visitors. The Atrium is close to everything and walking distance to the beach. The only issue one may have is that it is not right on the beach. It should be because there are some real messy hotels on that prime real estate that can go. Wonderful stay at the Atrium!

Rooms are spacious and very clear. The staff is the most accommodating and friendliest we have encountered in our many stays at Va. Beach.

My favorite part was the staff. They are super friendly and helpful. The hotel overall was nice. The pool was nice and warm and the room made for a great getaway from home.

Positive: Location. One block from the beach. The staff is polite. Negative: Non-carpet floors is just foreign to me in hotels. The air conditioning unit in the locked closet is LOUD. You can hear the children above you running around. The window that gives you a view of the main outside hallway is really weird.

Enjoyable experience thus far in which the nationwide pandemic we are going through. We feel as if we were home.

Positive: The staff was friendly and accommodating to our needs. Everything appeared to be clean and sanitized, especially during Covid crisis. Rooms seem clean and nice set up with plenty of room. Hair dryer provided which is nice. Pool available for 30 min appointments due to covid. Only complaint is the internet.... it is AWFUL. never have I experienced this problem at a hotel before. You can purchase higher speed (a certain amount of it daily) but for $190 a night after fees... the internet should work. I’ve paid a lot less for a hotel and the internet way better :/ super frustrating!

I will never return to this property the workers was very rude and the customer service is just sad.... a lot of hidden fees they don’t tell u about until it time to check in and it’s. Big hassle ask to speak to the manager the staff told me it wasn’t one in duty then all of. Sudden they called some guy name Bill which didn’t make it Any better being that he is the property manager customer should always come 1St point blank period.. Rooms were not very clean at all had to call front desk to get my tub clean the worst resort there is please read the review before u submitted a payment

We were a bit hesitant to stay here after reading the reviews but were pleasantly surprised during our stay. I really think some people were being intentionally negative, but our stay and the property were perfectly fine. The property is well located, literally just 2 blocks from the beach. Check in was fine and all employees we encountered were pleasant. The decor has sort of a garden/beach feel, so I’m not sure if I would necessarily say the property is as dated as some people may just not be a fan of the decor, especially if you’re used to more modern stylings in a hotel. To put into perspective, I’ve seen Fairfield branded Marriott family hotels that look similar. We stayed on the 6th floor. The property is 6 floors with a high ceiling, so there was some dust on the ac ductwork, but all accessible areas around the property were clean. The elevator, bathroom, and kitchen within the unit were all updated. The rooms were cleaned well, and the bed was comfy. There is just a soap and shower dispenser in the rooms, with not the best smelling soap, but we brought our own toiletries. As such, the soap/lack of lotion was not a huge deal. Yes, the pool is in the middle of the hotel, but it is enclosed by a 4’ or so wall. Unless someone is a creepster trying to peer down at people at the pool, the area is fine. If you’re fortunate enough to catch this property and a reasonable price, I’d recommend trying it. It’s a solid 7.5-8/10 for sure.

Terrible. This is not a resort. This is a run down, old hotel. Weve stayed at numerous hotels and resorts, this by far is the worst place weve ever visited. At check in the desk clerk had no idea what she was doing. She had so many kids around her just talking. We will NEVER visit this place again.

The staff was kind and friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and accommodating. One of the few places I could find that still has adjoining rooms to accommodate for our large blended family. For a hotel of that cabinet so close to the beach and so reasonably priced Id stay there again and again.

We stayed there and it was part of a gift/time share presentation, well when we went to the presentation we didnt meet the standards to continue like we were told in the beginning. So our free 2 night stay now turned into a $300 dollar trip (not to mention money for gas and food!) We would have never went if I knew this was going to happen at the time we couldnt afford it, but the charges were put on my card within minutes of walking away from the agents desk!!!Now as for condition of the motel! No thanks! The pool is in the middle of the lobby and its only 4 feet deep! When you get a few floors up and look down you can see a ton of tanning oils and lotions floating on the water to the point it changes the water color!! Very gross! The hallway carpets are dirty and the rooms have a musty smell. They are also small and very dated. None of the rooms have a balcony and the small window in the bedroom was so high up on the wall you couldnt see out of it. The other window was of the hallway so there was very little light. The only plus was location if you didnt want oceanfront and the shower had awesome water pressure other than that, nope never again!!!

This place is a diamond in the rough. Excellent resort with exceptional service. Much better than staying in a common hotel. The front desk staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. It is literally 2 blocks from the beach. Many extras included in your stay. The heated pool also has a hot tub. We stayed with my wife and 2 kids and there was more than enough room for all of us. Smartest choice I made picking this resort.

Great hotel and resort

The staff at the Atrium Resort was professional and friendly. Check in was easy and didnt take long to get it done. They have activities for kids and group trips to outlets and other local sites. The kitchen was stocked with about anything you might need to cook with and everything was very clean. Our only issue was not having a shower curtain,but they took care of it really quickly. I will stay there again o. My next visit

Initially, there where some issues that made us really unhappy with this resort. However, the staff was extremely nice and helpful. They went out of their way to fix issues and make our stay better. Overall we had a pleasant experience.

Location. I stayed Oceanside too and actually prefer the Atriums location. Its quiet and no chaos. It was nice to walk a block along Atlantic Ave on the way to the beach to grab some food or do some shopping on the way.Parking. All ground level so easy to get in and out of. Didnt have to waste time winding through a parking garage. Electric car charging is what brought me here. Some places say they are green but the Atrium follows throughLayout. Wind airy hallways made it feel luxurious. The atrium was nice.Room. layout was genius. Half my party could sleep or have privacy with the separate bedroom. Full size fridge! Saved money by having groceries instead of eating out.Staff. They go above whats needed. They could be mini tour guides. You can ask them the best/nearest pizza and get a helpful response.Climate control. Whisper quiet. Some hotels are too loud for light sleepers like me.Pool/hot tub. Hot tub is for ages 16+ which can be a pro or con depending on your party

Appreciated the special attention to requests during check in and assistance during my stay. Details are an important part of what makes this organization of multiple properties a good stay.Very clean, fully updated. I do wish the fitness center had offered a bit more space.

We really enjoyed the service from the time we arrived service was excellent. We were well accommodated. But I do wish they came with a jet spa tub .

It wasnt horrible, but it was dated and was stale. The pool was teeny. I ended up staying on 24th at the ocean club for $30 more. It was well worth it!

There was hair in the bathroom floor that clearly was not mine as I am of the African American decent. The remote control in the bed room was not working properly; a nuance to operate. The staff was friendly which was pleasant.

We stayed here for 5 days. Its very well kept and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The indoor pool is a bit small. The parking is free and convenient. Its within walking distance to the beach and many restaurants and attractions.

They are not pet friendly and when i called to ask how much the pet fee was the lady was a little rude and hung up on me the first time i called because “bad connection”. i was trying to move to a different spot but she couldn’t wait. Looks so beautiful and has great amenities but this was my first impression so i might always associate it with that rude receptionist!

Kinda pricey but walking distance from the oceanfront and all the good stuff. Big rooms, comfy beds, kitchenette, and amenities. Book early.

Spacious rooms for a great price. The only thing negative I would say is the early check out time of 10 AM but other than that great value. Also a pool inside right in the lobby.

Friendly staff security patrol parking on weekends. Dont leave anything valuable in the car. Two cars were caught on camera broke into during my visit. Staff was sanitizing carts and has sanitizer out for people to use.

Very clean and spacious. Excellent location in close proximity to the beach and boardwalk. Plenty of parking. The towels were arranged in a cute pattern.

Not a customer, but the desk agents are the greatest when dealing with the EV charger. Have used the charger twice now and both times they have been fantastic and only asked for a phone number and name in case a guest needed the charger. Thank you very much!

Management and the staff was respectful and kind to us even under the conditions in which we have them in with our 2 dogs. For which we are extremely extremely SORRY, that will never happen again !

They keep the place clean constantly, but why no automatic doors in this day and age? Rooms or very dated and place needs updated. One elevator that is hard to catch on checkin and checkout. Lots of channels on the tube which was nice. No room cleaning service during your stay.

I gave this place a 3 because I was a little disappointed when we arrived, the sofa bed, where my kids were going to sleep, was dirty. It had food on top of the sofa and a dirty sheet was still on the pull-out bed. Even the king size bed, I felt, wasnt as fresh as it could be. The floor wasnt swept good and some of the plastic tupperware had holes in it(the plastic pitcher for example, had a huge quarter size hole in the bottom which prevented me from making fresh lemonade for my kids). Ive certainly stayed at better resorts but all in all we had an enjoyable vacation.

This is NOT A HOTEL, dont get confuse when booking. It is a Time sharing Resort small apartments with all the necessary amenities for an OK stay. Is perfect for family with one or two children or just friends that wants to hang out by the beach. The rooms can use a carpet refresh, it will make a difference. ALSO, get ready for a $100.00 Security Deposit when checking in.The staff is extremely helpful and courteous, they will try their best to make your stay comfortable, specially the manager, who personality will work any complaint that you may have; its a walk away to restaurants and the boardwalk, nice parking, with must of it covered, but do not expect all the amenities and services of a Hotel, neither any luxury room, because is not there. All the common areas are very Nice & CLEAN. Overall...is Good.

I booker this resort to enjoy for my birthday, Sadly about 4am My guest and Woke up from sleeping and had bites on our skin. We notice some tiny bugs under our pillows and immediately called the front desk, we were moved to another room until morning when i could speak to the manager, i took this as a serious matter more than just a refund. I am a customer and from the look of the bug it was bed bugs! The manager was not very apologetic or sympathetic to the fact that this was a big inconvenience.

Clean, nice rooms. Fully loaded kitchen. Even though it isnt right on the beach, its a close walk to everything! Great for the price. Theres no outdoor pool and the indoor pool is in the middle of the building in kind of an awkward place. Thats my only complaint but thats minor. Would definitely stay here again!!

Stayed here for a long weekend (Thursday-Sunday) in July. It was a friends trip, and I felt four adults fit comfortably in one suite. Two slept in the bedroom and two of us were on the sofa bed. The kitchen is fully stocked with pretty much anything you would need to whip up a meal in the room, and the large refrigerator was a nice touch! We didnt end up using the pool, but a lot of families seemed to be enjoying it. The pool is a bit small, but Im sure its fun for kids to splash around in. My only complaints are that check-in was a bit lengthy, and there is only one elevator, which can be especially difficult when its busy during check-out time as hotel workers are using the same elevator to get where they need to go. Other than that, we had a great time and would definitely visit again. Its a very quick walk to the beach and boardwalk. Be sure to check out 21st Street Seafood next door! EXCELLENT specials, like a $2.99 breakfast Monday-Friday! :)

Great atmosphere and awesome staff Corey reffered me and I came on two different occasions Tatiyana was very pleasant and answered the phone in a timely manner and got back with my request ASAP came again in the morning and the Young lady Maya was very helpful in assisting with helping me getting her co-workers phone back to him it was early and I appreciate the positive vibes you guys rock keep up the good work

The first and most important thing to us is cleanliness. This is the reason for the 5 stars, its very clean. Front desk was great and yes some places still give wake up calls!! 4am

Nice spot for family stay in VA beach.We stayed 2 nights. My room was not cleaned while we were out during the day. That is the basis of my rating.

Wonderful place to stay at.This Hotel is very clean, has an indoor pool and All the staff was very friendly .We had a Suite which included a Queen pull-out Sofa, a kitchen and Two Tvs..one in the livingroom and one in the bedroom (We have paid for a Suite that had only 1 tv and it was in the living room).We definitely enjoyed our stay and would definitely book with them again.

I stayed there last week with my family and loved the employees who were very warm and friendly, but professional. The facility is older, but has been maintained pretty well. The bathroom tub faucet was older and tricky. The pool and hot tub were great to hang out in on the couple of rainy days that were definitely not beach days. They kept the 7 year old entertained.

The Atrium is one of our favorite places to stay at VA beach! Affordable, great walking distance to the beach and also the middle of the downtown and boardwalk areas, with several good restaurants nearby. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The pool in the center is unusual, but actually a pretty fun feature! Very nice pool and hot tub. The staff are always very nice and have gone out of their way to help us several times.

This resort is great. Charles was absolutely great and the rest of the staff was friendly and eager to accommodate. The resort is centrally located at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront next to plenty of local favorites such as restaurants and bars. There are a lot of local attractions near by as well. Great place, the pool is imdoors, heated and the hot tub is perfect. Great stay.

Very nice. Its not fancy and the room was smaller than I expected, but it was clean and turned out to be perfect for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and I loved that we had a full sized fridge because we brought some drinks and had leftovers during our stay. I like having someone come in each day to take trash and make the bed, which they do not do here, but it was fine. The trash shoot was right outside our door. They did not tell me when we checked in that we could use the sister properties, which were close by and on the beach. Dont know if we would have had time but it would have been nice to know. They did give us a late check out when we asked. All in all, its nice and I would stay there again.
