Really enjoyed our stay. Bar has live music. Room 207 right over bar so could be issue if dont like music. DQ next door.

I really enjoyed my ocean front room. The view was awesome and the beach accessibility was a super plus for my family. We enjoyed our late night walk along the roaring waves and warm water. Will definitely be back

Pool, spa, and gym were closed due to covid-19. Understandable, but cannot give 5 stars with lack of amenities.

Older hotel but nice view and accommodating staff

The Hotel was clean in and out. The staff was very friendly and accommodating! Great location by the pier. The restaurant is only open on the weekend, we did not eat there. The balcony door was a bit hard to open and close, and the toilet made a loud noise when you flushed. We would definitely stay there again!

Very nice spacious room. Location is amazing would definitely be staying again. Have to edit my review and say this whoever Daniel is she needs more training she doesnt respond back not helpful and has an ahole way about her. The whole place was nice and location is super. But that one lady I mentioned ruined our trip we was willing to pay any up charges I called her at 7 on our check in day to extend my stay. She told me to wait she has to talk to someone else. As I bought $90 worth of food down stairs at the restaurant. She walked past me as I clearly said her name standing with my child and wife. Went to the elevator. I eventually just waited no response until check out Wich was to late. Everyone was inviting except her. The room and manger for the resort and the front desk lady was amazing. Danielle is a problem I said it if she is at the front desk good luck. We drove 4 hours to be disappointed at the end. Her name is Danielle

Positive: Very cute room convenient to everything on the strip. Modern rooms were clean and just enough room for 2 people. Negative: City view room really needs to have light blocking curtains.

Had a really good stay! The rooms where great! There was nothing to complain about and the staff was excellent! I would definitely stay again! One of the best places to stay while at the beach! However you do have to give a down payment that we werent told about until we arrived that was the only bad thing. If they could make a note somewhere saying you have to make a deposit that will get refunded that would be helpful. Other then that 4 stars... its definitely not a Hilton but its alot better then some of the places around there by far!! Its like a really nice comfort inn or holiday inn.. definitely worth it! Would stay again.

This establishment is not up to the usual Diamond standard. We are not sure if we stayed on a popular party weekend, but this was not the family oriented condo as described on the website or at check in. The company may want to consider renaming the condo to The Reefer. Rooms appear to have had some superficial updates, but the wafting smell of pot in the hallways and on the balcony at all times of the day is a definite negative. At night loud music and voices could be heard into the wee hours, even after a call to front desk. A disappointing stay...

Always a great experience. Used front desk couple times and VERY professional and courteous above and out of way to make sure we were taken care of. Clean rooms and the pool was open and CLEAN!!!!

Hotel is old and in need of upgrade. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Staff was very friendly. The hotel guests were awful. Loud all night, kids running everywhere and the smell of marijuana made us feel like we were at Woodstock. The hotel lobby is nonexistent and you basically walk out of the parking lot into a hallway to the elevator. Asked for a late checkout and was interrupted twice in the morning with staff literally walking in on us in our rooms. Not worth the price.

I liked the view of the ocean. The hotel was dirty. We had a suite and the couch had popcorn fromthe previous people. The floor was dirty. I had to wipe everything down.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, I understand that covid is an issues, but I was trying to drop off a a welcome gift for my grandma for my wedding and they would not take it. The manager, Daniel Harris, was very rude and disrespectful to me, and talk to me in a degrading tone. What bothered me more was that while I was trying to dropped off my gift bag, they took a package from USPS. It didnt make any sense.I would recommend if you are going to stay anywhere, stay at the Hilton Garden inn, they took my welcome gift bags right away and handed them off to my guest. They where very accommodating to what I was trying to accomplish ( increasing my guest experience at the hotel). Do not stay at the Boardwalk Resort

I booked a 2 night reservation on priceline.. This place has the rudest front desk workers. I drove all the way from Richmond only to find out there is a 300 deposit on top of the 50 resort fee. Got into a small disagreement with Chris at the front desk. He called his manager. She told me to get the 300 and come back. I transfered the 300 only to find out they had banned me and my family from all diamond resorts and refused to give me a refund then kick me and my wife and four girls off the property with a police escort. My two year old was crying from being in the car so long. I had to click two different links in the itinerary to finally see the info on the 300 deposit. I had to end up spending almost 300 more to get a room somewhere else. I still cant believe how they almost wrecked our Thanksgiving. Verrrrry bad experience. I need to speak with someone really in charge. I need my money back and an apology.

The staff was curtious. Always read the fine print. Check in after 4. The room was clean an ready to relax. The only problem was the drainage in the tub.

The location on the boardwalk on Virginia Beach is great but this resort is not of the quality we expect from a Diamond Resort property. Understand it is a new acquisition and some kinks are being worked out. Does have a nice indoor pool. The carpet and furniture need updating... cleanliness needs improvement. They are responsive to issues.

This was my second time staying. First was last summer when I proposed to my wife. The room was great and the view of the beach was amazing. Especially the night of the 4th watching people set off fireworks. Would definitely choose again in the future.

Very dirty, saw spiders, sofa badly stained and ripped. Holes in the sheets. The worst thing was the bathtub and sink is in the bedroom it had no privacy. Manager was nice and accommodating.

Nice rooms, deceiving on what they consider Ocean View. Apparently looking at the hotel next to you is an ocean view. The doors slam all night not allowing you to get a full nights rest.

Nice location, but subpar service. The room was nice, but there were not any wash cloths. Asked the staff for some but never got any. This hotel probably should not be included in the Ascend group. Theres no comparison to the others where we have stayed.

Nice hotel, right near the Virginia beach fishing pier. Right on the boardwalk to see the Christmas lights tour. Indoor pool is nice.

Great view of the beach (Ocean Front suite). Right on the boardwalk. Amazing location and walking. Resort furniture was very dated and uncomfortable. The worse bed we have ever slept on. Mattress was very low to the floor; lumpy and worn out. Hence we didn’t sleep well.

Tried to knock on doors to notify staff and no one around, doors locked; they haven’t answered calls either. Was tying to advise of the trash around and under the benches on the boardwalk.

Pros: good location, a few minutes walk to the pier, broadwalk is nice, many loco restaurants on the street, good parking lots, nice staffscons: old building, room smell bad. We drove 9 hours to this place and have to wait from 9pm to 12:30am to use the bathroom because the bathtub was blocked. The room was super bright from 6am because there was no blind curtain.

Rock Fish upgrades are sweet!!! Love the beachfront dining even more now. Nice job. Ambiance is right, good fish too

My friends and I were so excited to spend our spring break at the Boardwalk resort. We specifically picked this hotel because of the pool and hot tub. However, among arriving and NOT being told whatsoever upon check-in, we went down to the pool and saw a sign saying it will be closed until halfway into our week stay. Then, on Tuesday, a note was slid under our door telling us the wifi would be down for two hours on Wednesday. The front desk failed to tell us about either of those inconveniences which I think should’ve been addressed first thing. Then finally, I left an item in the room after checkout and called the desk that same evening after I realized. I was told I would be contacted by the room cleaning management the next day and then was abruptly hung up on. It’s been two days and I haven’t been contacted at all. Very disappointed in how they handled any act of communication during and after our stay.

One of the hotels on ocean front Virginia beach. Great location. Good views. We like it here when were walking by. Its all we ever hoped it could be and not a bit less. Exceptional nice weather in may as it has warm days and not oppressive heat as in during the summer. Love watching the dogs walk by.

We stayed in room 301 and the view is absolutely gorgeous service is good. Gym opens at 5am pool opens at 7 both close at 10 13 and under need adult supervision. Lots of local places to eat bikes and boards available to rent all along the boardwalk and the backyard is pretty much the beach wifi is easy to access and the freezer comes with an ice maker and multiple floors with laundry machines and weekly events for the family and kids.

THE LOCATION IS GREAT! CENTRAL TO THE PIER, DAIRY QUEEN! THE AMUSEMENT PARK! BUT THE ROOM WAS PRETTY BUT DIRTY. THERE WAS LITERALLY DIRT ON THE NICE GREY WOOD FLOOR. THE WINDOWS HAD GREASY SMUDGES ON THEM. THE BALCONY HAD SOME MYSTERY RED STICKY GOOY LIQUID ON IT. WE WERE MISSING SOAP, SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER. COFFEE AND FILTERS ECT. PLUS, NO CONCIERGE!

Positive: In front of Beach Negative: The Patio door was very difficult to open and dirty around the windows. Potions of the A/C in bedroom was showing almost cut my foot. Tub could have been cleaner gnats. The A/C unit in Living Room very loud, We thought we had a king bed for the price.

Check in experience was horrible. Room was supposed to be ready at 4 pm and we didn’t get our room until 7 pm. We paid over $200 for one night and the room was barley big enough for the full sized bed. We spoke to the general manager, Teisha Purnell, and she was absolutely amazing. She offered another free night for the inconvenience and went above and beyond at making us feel comfortable. The woman at the front desk, Mercedes, had the hard job of dealing with dissatisfied guests, but she handled it very well. She was friendly, didn’t get flustered, and helped everyone as best as she could.

When we arrived at the hotel there was a problem with the front desk clerk. I told her that i would speak with her alone over to the side.Well the room was very nice it was very small for two people. The bed was a full size bed. My husband slept on the let out bed. It has a small kitchen net,an the bathtub was great. Everything was nice an clean except for the carpet. They need to pull it all up. We never saw anyone from housekeeping until our check out day. They didnt have continental breakfast either. Over all i give it a 8 out of 10 ..

The stay started pretty good however I went out and spent a lot of money on a bathing suit for my fiance to utilize the indoor pool. When we came down to go swim security at lock the door in front of us at around 7:30 p.m. and said that was an accident so they had to close the pool. This was one of the main reasons we selected this hotel to take advantage of the indoor pool so that was a waste.

It was the worst stay Ive ever had, we were kicked out of our room at 1:45 am on Saturday. Without any valid reason or complaint. I intend to seek legal ramifications for the disrespect and misconduct and mistreatment of the hotel and its employees, they are absolutely disgusting and racist.

We had a great stay. Very clean and modern room with a kitchen. Lots of extra towels. Easy to get in and out to our vehicle. Only complaint I had (would have gotten 5 stars if not for this) the curtains didnt cover the window shade. We had a wonderful ocean view and it was great to see the sun rise but if we wanted to sleep in it was impossible. When the sun came up, the room lit right up super bright. Pretty much every hotel has black out curtains that cover the windows and shades. This one does not. Big flaw in my opinion. Other than that we had a really lovely stay!

Our stay was really nice the hotel was in good condition. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

Ocean front Property,Awesome View !

If i could give a 0 star I would. The service provided by the office manager was horrid. I booked this because it was the only one on booking.com that didnt state everything in the hotel was closed however IT WAS KN THE FINE PRINT HE STATES which took him 5 minutes to find himself. We paid 600 for 2 nights for him to put us near the trash shoot and not give a darn about no amenities being available. He wouldnt refund our money and we had to stay in this funky outdated hotel. Oh and when we went in our room in stinks and when you come in from the main door it goes right into our bedroom. Great #sarcastic I guess it earned one star for the location its right off the beach. We never saw room service once . I will be sending this as well to corporate. This stay was a waste of my money.

The suit was really good. Comfortable bed, the badroom was big and everything was very clean. The view is amazing. The had an indoor pool and gym, you can find also a restaurant. The kitchen is nice they have a big refrigerator, oven dishwasher, very nice.

My first time here and loved it. Beautiful boardwalk with a separate area for bike riders. Lovely hotels along the way, restaurants and beautiful sculptures and monuments along the boardwalk.

Just got home from being there for a week. The gals at the front desk were the best. They made us feel so welcome and always had a friendly smile on their face. The unit was very clean, a little outdated, but no complaints. The staff was very friendly and also helpful. We felt right at home and would definitely go back. Cant say enough about the Gals, they were the best!!! THANK YOU!!!

We had a very nice weeks stay at this hotel, the rooms were nice and spacious. With a kitchenette. we were given a ocean front room which was nice. The staff was outstanding. My only complaint was the parking, it could sometimes be a little tight... But over all a good stay.

Nice resort with lovely views of the ocean. Boardwalk resort has direct access to the beach which is wide and well cared for. The hotel has a small indoor ol for kids and a decent fitness room. The 1 BR was spacious with full kitchen. rthe kitchen is sparsely equipped for 4 people.

Loved the way that I felt right at home here. Other than parking not being very good since Ive got it tall truck, everything else about my stay was amazing!

Mostly enjoyed the stay. Hot tub tiles needed to be cleaned pretty badly, mattress was a bit worn. The sheets are cheap and very thin. Exterior windows havent been cleaned in quite some time but it wasnt bad for what we paid. Not worth the summertime fees but early winter fee was doable.

We a late check in, about 11pm. Driving from Michigan we were tired just wanted to get to our room and go to bed. Got out room got all our stuff into the room only to find its never been Cleaned!!!!!!! Check out is at 4 you would think by 11 pm everything would be cleaned. The girls at the front counter did fix it and got us another room. Other then this issue the hotel was nice. Nice pool and hot tub right on the beach. Hall way on floor 10 smelled so bad.

As a guy that likes beaches and boardwalks, this one is great.Plenty of attractions, a nice beach and a long great boardwalk with a lot of places to eat and drink.Rent bikes or bring your own longboards if you dont want to walk or swim and youll have a blast.Ill definitely return.

The hotel will be without water from 9 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon for maintenance 3/28/19. This is very inconvenient as we are here for a wrestling tournament and they have to practice first thing in the morning and would like to be able to freshen up afterwards.

Very nice location but the facility itself is somewhat outdated. It has recently been acquired by Diamond Resorts and, as I understand, will be remodeled and updated throughout. The views out over the beach and the ocean are fabulous.

This is a nice older resort. Was very clean. The staff was excellent. We had an end room so we had view of ocean, parking garage, and city. It was nice to have the different views. The parking garage is low only 68. You only have housekeeping if you stay 7 or more days I think, but they were very nice and brought us anything I ask for. This is not as nice as other Diamonds properties but it was a good experience and we would definitely stay there again. Only bad is check in time is 4pm and they didnt have our room ready till 6pm. They did text me and let me know when it was ready.

Beautifully decorated and modern. Nice curteous staff, and convenient access to the beach.

It was very nice, and the view was great. My husband said that the picture of the room we stayed in was very mis leading to what the actual room looked like, and we didnt have any washcloths. I would definitely go back and stay there again.

Horrible customer service. The room was tiny. There was a $300 hold placed on my debit card. There was not even one bottle of water or a vending machine where I could purchase it.

The room was awesome, clean, roomy, wonderful view . . until they put a canvas up on our balcony two days before any rain was called in the weather forecast making thebalcony unbearably hot. The balcony was where we spent most of our time. We checked out by checkout time a day early and Customer Service and the Manager refused to even talk to us about even a partial refund even though there were irregular circumstances. So the room was good, but just hope you dont need any service.

Great location to good restaurants and nice staff. Could use updating - better quality furnishings and the hallways could be vacuumed more. I like thoroughly cleaned rooms though. Might be my preference. Overall good time.

Very nice place . Only one pool.

The room was spectacular. The staff was wonderful. But be very careful when choosing a room. I paid extra for an ocean view room, which was on the side of the building. Technically you could see the ocean, but it wasnt facing the ocean which is what a reasonable person would think when paying for an ocean view balcony.

I loved the suite. It was perfect for my groups needs.

Always a great time when I stay with them. I have booked during the summer and during the winter and its great no matter what time I go.

The resort itself was okay. Having been here before we were looking forward to an evening with friends at the Rock Fish. Until we were told earlier in the evening not to come back by one of the wait staff because they would be closing early. Seriously. They were turning us away. Not cool. Especially when we were sleeping right upstairs and it would have been so convenient.

Honestly, to have paid what I did to have an ocean front room I was not happy. First off it wasnt ocean front like it was soposed to be. It was practical view. We werent able to use the pool area our entire stay. The parking is crazy. The room was super small for it to have been a suite there was barely any walking room between the ac unit and the bed. The tvs quality was pretty bad. Over all the room was clean and tight staff was super friendly.maybe my expectation for a diamond resort hotel was too high.

Would definetly go again, my friends and I enjoyed our suite. We enjoyed walking the boardwalk which was right outside. The ocean view and ocean front view we had was amazing!! Watching the sunrise and sunset, so beautiful!!

Beds were horrible. Most tv channels were frozen. Called the front desk on Thursday to ask about it and was told it would be Monday before fixed. Sad thing is we are owners and will never go there again.

Nice sized rooms, great location and friendly staff.

Everything was great and the people were very friendly and accommodating, the only problem i had was the pool and hot tub was very dirty and nasty and you could see stuff floating in them.

We just enjoyed the outside common area.

Found this jewel on groupon...great for family getaway. Activities onsite a plus.
