This place is great. Were already planning to stay here next year. It was clean, everyone was nice, its in a great location. The elevator issue that other people mentioned was awful the first day, but was fixed for the rest of our stay. Absolutely beautiful. Our 1 bedroom suite had 2 full baths which was perfect. The kitchen is very nice when you dont want to eat out for every single meal. Well definitely be returning.
Positive: The pool area and it had a microwave Negative: Everything
There is no valet you have to park down the block from the hotel and park yourself in a parking garage. Checking in was very unorganized. There were a bunch of people waiting to check in with luggage charts so there wasnt much room to stand. There was only one person at the front desk so it took forever to check-in. We got our room fine thank goodness because a bunch of other ppl that didnt. The grounds are nice with two indoor pools and 2 kind of smaller outside ones with towel service. The hot tub was out of order which was disappointing. There is one smaller outdoor restaurant. The grounds are very nicely kept with 2 fountains. It is very nice that it is on the board/concrete walk and oceanfront.A day into our stay one elevator went out of order leaving one. It took forever to get on the elevator because of all the floors and there was a line a lot of the time. The elevator got really stuffy and crowded so you could not keep a safe distance at all! There is no room service unless you are staying 8 or more days. You could have them come for a fee. I have never been to a hotel that did not have complimentary room service! This is not the hotels fault, we come back to the hotel at 9:30 pm and there was a domesticated dispute with a bunch of cops around. We couldnt get up to our room because they were blocking the only elevator again not the hotels fault.I am sorry but with the parking, checking in, the broken elevator which left one, no complimentary room service, out of service hot tub ( i was looking forward to that), and the room is not being as nice as the pictures I can not recommend this hotel. Unless you are there for the pools and that it is oceanfront.I hope this helped! I posted a bunch of pictures
I think it was very much over price. With so many things unavailable, the price should have reflected that.
The staff is extremely nice and helpful. Had one issue with bedding when we arrived, but the front desk and housekeeping took care of it. The ocean front room view is beautiful and great for people watching. We will definitely be back.
This place is in a perfect location on VA Beach, easy access to beach. Restaurants, souvenir shops and town. This place gets very busy during the season. Parking for guest is a short block away on 34th street. (Not far). Elevators are limited to 2 and on busy days you ending up waiting. We had a partial view room. And balcony which was not bad. The balacony is directly connected to your neighbors so not much privacy if someone is outside, plus easy to hear conversations. We wanted to keep the door open. For fresh breeze but building next door ac units were loud and on top of street noise made it unbearable after a short time. We stayed on 6th floor. If you want to stay close to beach, and dont mind some extra noise this is the place for you. If you are looking for more tranquil setting I would suggest a different area all together. Price Value is equal to the benefits here. Some issues:1. customer service was not the best at this stay or for diamond property.2.Room didnt seem stocked with extra TP, garbage bags, ice bucket. We asked for ice bucket but told they did t have any...3. Requested extra blanket and supplies and took house keeping 45min to deliver4. Extra trash they didnt want to pickup from outside our room, staff had the mentality of not my job.5. Place seemed busy and not many people doing cleaning for pandemic time. Pools seemed crowded at times we walked by.6. Outside noise when balcony door open.7. Lots of timeshare pushy people.
Great 2 room suite but horrible check in process. I was informed I can check in as early as the room was available so I headed out around noon to see if I could check in early. Normal check-in is at 4:00 p.m. I was waiting around all day long still didnt get an early check-in... The worst part is I didnt get checked into my room until 5:00 p.m. because the housekeeping was slacking and at one point I was told it would be ready at 3:30. The hotel offered nothing for the late check in except a threat to charge me for late check-out.
I booked a queen oceanfront suite. Our suite was a great size, it was a corner suite with great views. The biggest problem was the bed. First off it was a full size bed not a queen. Two adults do not fit in a full size bed. The first night a fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. My husband asleep in bed and I was trying to sleep on the sofa. Great location but if I could not get at least a queen bed...would not stay again.
This hotel and “resort” was pretty meh. I’m still trying to figure out what the resort fee was for considering it wasn’t exactly a resort. In terms of a hotel, it was mediocre. There was a decent amount of room for our stuff and I do admit that the small kitchenette was useful. My number one criticism is that for a hotel on the beach, there was not nearly enough room to hang wet items such as towels and swimsuits. My number two criticism is that there are only 2 elevators for 18 floors. We still had a good time; nothing about the hotel ruined our trip. However, for the price, I would have expected a better operation. Overall, I wouldn’t necessarily book this hotel voluntarily again.
Absolutely beautiful the staff were extremely courteous and Professional. The property was well maintained pristine accommodations. I will be there for another stay!
Room was discussing and filthy. Had the reservation for 9 of us and thank goodness the other family didn’t come because the two room lock off was so small that we couldn’t even sit in the living room together. Waited over three hours for a new room and manager on site didn’t seem to care.
First off, the hotel is in an excellent location. The view of the beach is amazing. They also have a few decent pools. However, I have mixed feelings on the rooms. Theres plenty of space and I like that it had a full size fridge and small kitchen. The beds were also comfy, but most of the other furniture and decor seemed cheap. My other reason for not rating it higher, is that weve stayed there 4 times, and 3 of those times one of the elevators was down. Most recently, one was down for the entire week. We constant waited 5-10 for the elevator. Im not shy about taking the steps, but when youre room is 10+ floors up, its really irritating.
This suite is really nice. I felt like I had my own little apartment. Plenty of space!!! If youre looking to treat yourself. Nice size kitchen, with everything you need. Sit in shower, double sinks . Room enough for the both of you to use. Everything seemed clean. The balcony was a little scary. Its small..but the view was amazing. If I had to change anything it would be the firmness of the bed. If you like a good firm bed..youll love it . The picture quality on both t.vs could be a lot better. I also would prefer a removable shower head. Besides that, I would recommend it .
Nice resort, shows some some wear but 2 bd was great for a family of 5. Lots of room, great living/dining areas and great pools. Some repairs that should have been done to room prior to check in and communication with maintenance staff lacking as they entered the room to do repairs after we checked in.
I stayed at this establishment on Friday 10/09 now while peak season is definitely over they still wanted a whopping 400 for a suite that looked like a regular room I was definitely not impressed. The room was very small with old amenities and a TV with blurry channels could barely watch the basketball game that night. It was nothing special about this place at all then its a 27 dollar charge after paying 400 for a night only for checkout to be at 10 a.m. It was really a bad experience and I only stayed bc I didnt want o bring a bad vibe to my girlfriends birthday.
We reserved a king size bed with a ocean view. Received a queen size bed and very bad view of the ocean. Can only view it from the balcony and leaning over to the left. Other than that, it was a nice room and well designed.
The hotel and staff are great for my first time visit! I was a bit misled due to my lack of experience but the Ocean View Balcony was litterally facing a big yellow building and options to upgrade werent available due to all suites facing ocean front being sold out. I was fairly disappointed in this but the facilities indoor pool and general atmosphere along with the beach vibes turned out great! Though this is a mixed review I cant fault the staff or brand for great marketing, but I will voice it for others to watch out for . Overall great experience!
Best placed i stayed in. Wished i had and ocen front view but side view its still pretty good.
Do not pay extra for ocean view they will put you in a room on the street side corner of the building where you have to lean over the balcony to even catch a glimpse of the ocean.I have seen others say they should be sued for false advertising and I agree since they show oceanfront pictures on their ocean view rooms just to tell you they are different. An absolute scam. I would not recommend to anyone nor would I stay there again. When I called the front desk about the room they pretty much said tough luck that what we have. Room was not clean and had a moldy smell to it. There was leftover crumbs from the prior people who stayed there. For a place with extreme cleaning procedures the place was a mess. Also bathroom light did not work in the shower.
Had a couple of minor issues in the room that maintenance promptly took care of. One of the beds seem to have bad springs and very uncomfortable. Otherwise, the room was good.
My first room was very uncomfortable, the air conditioning unit was not working and the room was very hot and stuffy. They moved me to a second room and it had bugs
Everything at this point should be cleaned above everyone’s standards but this wasn’t done so. The stove was dirty and the bath tub needed extra cleaning. If someone has listed that they have 4 people staying in a room with only one true bed, the bedding for the pullout should already be waiting for you. Otherwise it had a nice layout and great potential. Great view of the ocean on the patio when it wasn’t getting poured on from somewhere above us. All this place needed was a little extra care!
Right on the ocean. Parking garage close by. View incredible. Nice rooms with very comfortable beds. Help desk is amazing . We will definitely come back and stay with them.
I was expecting a much better stay for the price. Door was not properly keyed, toilet was not working (which makes you wonder how it was cleaned), sun tan bottle was left on floor by previous occupant and the the balcony door was off track and was stuck closed. Due to all of this we had to change rooms. Also if you stay there be aware that they only have 2 elevators so you will always have a long wait to go up and down. I would not stay there again.
Stayed for 3 nights. Put trash bag outside the door. It sat in the hallway for 2 days, until after we checked out. No replacement bag. Had to use bathroom trash bags for kitchen trash. Other than that everythings a was great!
Usually this place is top notch and on point. I have stayed here multiple times. This year however has been peppered with multiple issues. No assistance with luggage which may be due to covid issues. Upon arriving within one day credit card was compromised and had to be shut down. Charges to room was made despite our long standing of not allowing any room charges anywhere which was on file at check in. Parking garage had card issues for parking. Room had carpet so dirty bare feet were black. Multiple light bulbs were out. Fridge waterline leaked all over floor. Lots of apologies from staff for deficiencies. Television was out for almost 18 hours. Good time to try a different hotel. Place definitely not as clean as in the past including lots of debris in the pools.
Parking: You have to park about two short blocks away. Its free, so make sure you check-in and they will give you a card you can use to get in and out of the garage. They dont explain this on the website, so just park your car in the loading area, check-in, and youll be good.Elevators: There are two in the building, youll either catch it at the right time and get up and down with no issues, or youll wait 10 minutes for the elevator (and with COVID, if its half-full, You dont want to get in there).Room: Clean but definitely not spacious. The bed was ok, not the most comfortable but you get what you pay for.Amenities: You have access to the pools for both hotels (Ocean Club Resort and Oceanaire) and what they dont explain, is the gym is in the Ocean Club resort and not the Oceanaire.Overall, Id stay somewhere else if your budget allows it. But if beach access is your priority and youre not worried about space and parking, then this place will do.
Ive visited here 2 times and loved each time! Rooms are very nice, love the fact that everything is so close as well.
Positive: Location Negative: Lack of service
For those with complaints, contact Diamond Resorts. I can tell you from firsthand knowledge that the CEO will not tolerate a subpar resort destination. If maintenance needs to be done, report it. Issues with cleanliness? Report it. Anything that made your experience less tham great, report it.
Great location on the beach. Downside is the parking garage is two blocks away. Two elevators for the 18 story resort, BUT... 1 stayed broken down our entire stay. We were on the 12th floor. BUMMER!!! Other than that, the rooms were pretty nice and the amenities were sufficient.
M husband an I recently stayed there for our anniversary. Our children sent us there as their gift to us. We stayed there for 3 nights and the only nice thing that I can say about our stay is that the view from our room was beautiful. For the amount of money we paid for the stay we were expecting better accommodations. We arrive at almost 7pm only to be told that our room was not ready. Check-in was suppose to be at 3pm. Our room was originally on an upper floor but we were offered another room on a lower level. The room we were given was a conference meeting room. The overall feel of the room was overwhelmingly dull and very unimpressive. Our bed was a queen size bed....I think. I would have taken advantage of the Jacuzzi but the built in matting was stained and I didnt feel comfortable using the Jacuzzi. The balcony was nice but we had to deal with the little lizards moving about. Perhaps the worse part of this experience is that there is no onsite parking and the place where we had to park had elevators that were not working. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Oceanaire. I just feel awful that our children used their hard earned money to send us to this placed. Management should really look into getting this place in better order.
I absolutely loved my stay while I was here. I had an oceanfront room and enjoyed the view. The room was clean upon my arrival, anything I requested from the front desk was brought to me with no problem, I was able to access other needs on my own. Loved the hotel and would definitely stay again.
The ocean view Queen Suite is very nice with a jetted tub. Clean and updated. Friendly service. I wouldve rated it higher, but I am here right now and there is only 1 working elevator. There are only 2 and with the volume here right now, this is a HUGE inconvenience
Overrated. Lots of hidden fees to accommodations that are not available. No hot water in my room. Went to stay to have a nice night with my girl away for the craziness, and just ended up leaving in the middle of the night. Might as well have stayed at a cheap motel with hot water, saved money, and have the same experience.
Positive: Location Negative: Staff so rude
Positive: Ocean Negative: No
OVERRATED! I checked in this resort on Nov 6th to celebrate my birthday and some alone time with my fiancé until Nov 9th. The resort is beautiful which is why it got 2 stars. Unfortunately this is not enough to wins a return visit from me. Once I checked in my room the toilet would not flush. After several calls to the front desk someone answered right before midnight only to say he could come check to try to see what he could do but the maintenance was gone. Once he could not fix it he offered us a room without an oceanfront which I refused. That morning someone came to fix it and this took a couple hours. Today is my last night here and the toilet is still constantly running and stopping, we are manually filling it up with water. Also the walls are paper thin, the guest next door are very loud with their kids. I love children and I have three all my own but when I go on vacation without them I would like to enjoy peace and relax quietly. I will not be returning because the customer service is poor because it took them so long to answer the phone.
Excellent service and great people. They really made you feel at home. Looking forward to coming again.
Easy check in. Lovely property. Well-appointed suite. Great view at an amazing price.
First trip to the beach in years! After losing my dad I needed that view to bring peace into my life!
Me and my wife enjoyed our stay with Oceanaire Resort Hotel. The mangement team was the best ever. They found out it was our Anniversary and my wifes birthday and treated us like family. Can not wait to book another stay again. The location is perfect and our room was the best. Love Virginia Oceanaire Resort Hotel its a hidden Gem and the view was outstanding!!!
Poor maintenance & overall cleanliness is lacking, amenities such as sitting chair show signs of soiled fabric also Carpet & air vents had to be cleaned during my visit (unit1223A), also one of two elevators were broken (due to poor PM) ... I have been a owner since this tower was opened. For what I pay in maintenance fee alone this is ridiculous. If you add the monthly mortgage & yearly maintenance fee I could have book a trip to Hawaii. This is no better then a stay at a strip motel. What I was sold is not what Im receiving If you are thinking about buying ... One word DONT ! BTW COVID SHOULD NOT BE USED AS A EXCUSE
Room lacked cleanliness, horrible staff, atrocious customer service, off-site parking, but great location. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else. The town center area is awesome albeit it is not on the oceanfront, its only 15 min away.
Great resort, with amazing views from the oceanfront suite, the rooms are well equipped and very clean, the staff is very friendly, and the location is amazing. Will be back soon for sure!!!
The rooms were disgusting. You would think that the staff would clean the rooms, especially during a PANDEMIC, but me and my family were especially disturbed. I doubt that any of the rooms were truly sanitized, because we found: a greasy pan in the dishwasher; an old baseball cap behind a chair; hair and soap in the bathtub; hair INSIDE the bed sheets; crumbs on the counters; lipstick on the coffee mugs. Were lucky that my mother is already a germaphobe, so we wiped down everything before settling down. The woman who answered the phone was very understanding, but whoever is managing the housekeeping/cleanliness of the rooms needs to get checked.
Steak bites and She Crab soup were very good. Service was good as well. Recommend checking it out.
My family had a great time service was great and grandkids enjoyed your indoor pool
The resort overall is nice, but the carpet and the sofa in the room was old and worn. The smell of cigarettes loomed in our room all day, although there is a non-smoking sign in the room. There appears to be no enforcement.
Loved our time there. Really nice place, great location.
The room was spacious. The view of the beach was Gorgeous. However...my bathroom door was busted. Wouldnt close properly or lock. The balcony door was off track. Black mold all over the balcony wall. Oh...and their are only 2 elevators and one was broken for majority of my stay. The line was extremely long just to get on the elevator. No morning room service. No complimentary breakfast. For the price. Im disappointed. Never again...
Great hotel with nice staff. Has valet service you can call before coming down. Multiple pools including a 21 and older area with hot tub. Rooms are also nice and they have daily activities.
This was a lovely spotI would definitely recommend itIts so lit !!
The resort was really nice, staff was friendly. The location is great, right on the boardwalk/beach. Close to a lot of restaurants. The indoor pools opened July 1st due to Covid-19 restrictions. The room was nice, just a few small issues with housekeeping (food left in microwave and a cup that def hadnt been cleaned) but I know mistakes do happen. Also the parking garage is about a block and a half away from the hotel so thats slightly a pain. Its closer to the Ocean Beach Resort (sister hotel) then it is the Oceanaire. Besides those 2 issues, it was great. Beautiful views
It was ok I guess.... probably wont be staying there again... The Vent in the bathroom that look like itbeas previous chalked in place previously ( and a bad chalk job at that) fell and almost hit me in the head just missing me.... Although I will say as soon as I called the front desk someone was up right alway to Fix It by drilling 2 drywall screws in it (my suggestion by the way)... would have been nice to have something taking off of my bill... but all in all it was so/so..
WASTE OF MONEY! The hotel is nothing more than a motel feel with extreme prices. Elevator was broken, stairs were gross. Views are not good. They do not maintain CDC guidelines. Easy access for anyone to use the amenities (which were consistent of ONLY a pool) even if you didnt pay to be there. Bad location on the boardwalk, all the way down on one end of it. Not worth it! Plenty of other hotels of more reasonable rates with a better experience.
Nice place and right on the beach front. A good family adventure
2/2 they took the security deposit 2 days after we had already left. we booked a 1 bed suite w a living room and kitchen and got a 2 beds in one room and no living room. horrible service there was vomit in the elevators and nobody did anything until someone from my party had said something and honestly it was the worst hotel ive ever been too.would rather stay at a motel 6 than ever come back here and im a vb resident. DONT GET SCAMMED
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and my beautiful room!
Enjoyed this resort that is secluded away from the main strip at VA Beach. However. Due to covid I felt they could have done a better job overall cleaning and sanitizing all high traffic areas including the pool and pool side chairs. The pools were not the cleanses to be an elite resort. This must be looked into. Stayed on second floor with one other guest room. The size and amenities of the room were great. No room service understandable due to covid. However at least a daily knock would have been appreciated to empty trash and offer fresh towels during a weeks stay. Ants were crawling in this presidential suite. Overall you wont be disappointed.
Hotel service was disgusting! My family and I stayed there the weekend of June 26th room priced were 320$ a night. No one came to clean our room after countless times calling front desk. They checked us out of a room but then checked us back into the same room but it had not been cleaned! Overpriced for those tiny rooms. Resort was not open but charging resort prices! Also parking is a block away not adjacent to the building. No continental breakfast & you may stand and wait for an elevator for an hr as only one worked during the entire weekend! I will never stay here again... absolutely nothing exclusive bout this place but high prices for mediocre service!
Service has been courteous and informative, facilities are clean and very nice, parking is located across the street and a little far but, everything is being kept up to date.
Very friendly staff, very clean, great craft cocktails! They have a 10th floor sun deck with a fire pit and an amazing view!
Great place to stay! We stayed in their 2 bedroom suite. Came with full kitchen, stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, all kitchen supplies (dish detergent pods, dawn dish soap, dish towels, paper towels(2), pot holders(2), cutting board(1), pots(2), pans(2), plates(4), saucers(4), bowls(4), spoons(8),forks(8), steak knives(4), mugs(4), highball glasses(4), wine glasses(4), 4ozjuice glasses(4), food strainer(1), baking sheet(1), 6×11baking dish(1) coffee pot, coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, salt, pepper, blender, salad bowl(1), large mixing bowl(1).Living, and dining areas are spacious, and offer a great view of the ocean!! Amenities galore!!We had a great time and will be back with our daughter!
So far so good here until saturday
Maybe not the cleanest looking place I’ve ever been, but spacious and good views. In the off-season it’s good, but I don’t think I’d like it when it’s busy. The parking is in a garage across the street, so you have to check in before you park. Another car lost their parking key and the parking attendant would not let them through even when showing a room key and the paper parking pass from check-in. They couldn’t use my key to get out either. So they had to pull the car over and walk back to the hotel to get another parking key to leave.
The hotel was a bit pricey, but there was no room service and the hotel staff didnt cover thier mouth and nose with the mask. The elevator always busy due the limit of occupancy. Always line to get in the elevator. The pools are not attended and no respect to safe distance. Some residents stay in the pool longer time. The bad thing it was a security gard in the front of the the door is asking for room keys to identify who enter. To pay a huge amount and with no room service, it should better customer service offering. The room I had was side view and the bad thing in it was the fire alarm detector. It went on 3 times due the fog from the shower. It was very annoying. It wasnt ideal vacation for my family.
A very nice place to stay. The rooms were very nice and up to date and the beds, pillows, towels were soft. Would have given 5 stars except parking for check in/ check out was a pain
Visiting this resort was a bad experience, I wish I picked another one. First as welcome greetings a CS rep gave a free passes to the VB aquarium, turns that was a misslead to a time share business to sell you their product and since my wife do not speak good english they canceled the tickets. Also at night while I was parking my car in the garage my wife and kids were kept outside of the hotel because she doesnt have the room keys!! Very bad customer service!!!
This was my second year here in a row. Last year I just had a small hotel room with double beds and a kitchenette. This year I snagged a 3 bedroom lockoff unit. I had a ton of space (husband and son ended up not being able to go with me) with 3 oceanfront balconies. I really like this place, but was disappointed in the cleanliness this time. I included one picture of a sock and drink cap under a bed. I complained to the front desk, who said that the housekeeping supervisor would come to my room, but no one ever did.
The first room they put us in had fresh stain on the cabinets that was still tacky to the touch and there was an issue with the faucet valve in the shower. They moved us to a different room and gave us $100 in prepaid visas for our trouble. The ocean view was nice and the staff were very friendly and attentive. They have indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a tiki bar. One of the indoor pools is for people 21 and over which is great for people without kids. There is a Navy base nearby so you can hear the roar of fighter jets flying overhead virtually non stop but I thought it was pretty cool. Some people might not enjoy it so much.
Two wonderful days of peace, quiet and tranquility!! The Beach was closed due to COVID 19, which made it a great experience!!Nice, clean hotel ..spacious room ...and professional staff...Ocean front room is a must!!!
The hotel looked cool. The pool area and sundeck were nice and it is RIGHT ON THE BEACH. The downside is that if you dont valet you have to park 2 blocks away, the room was very dirty (floor was sticky, bedding had stains, hair in the sink) and very loud. We could hear every word of the people in the room next door. They also harassed us as soon as we walked in to listen to their time share spiel and would not let up until we did.
Amazing. It exceeded our expectations. Only stayed 1 night sadly, but will absolutely stay here again. Every staff member incredibly friendly snd helpful. Suite was stunning! Immaculate, beautifully decorated and stocked. Pools were nice, even outdoor open in winter with gorgeous views and fire pits. Perfect location. Quiet in off season but Im sure summer is a little crazy! Nothing negative to say at all!!
Love this hotel! Gorgeous rooms, amazing view awesome staff!!!
This was a nice location right on Virgina Beach. Nice pools and a sun deck. Slight inconvenience having to park 1/2 block away, but they do have valet service.
Hmmm wish I would’ve read more of these reviews before booking. This hotel doesn’t feel clean at all. There were stains on my sheets and the face cloths. Given we are in the midst of a pandemic this felt unsettling. I definitely wouldn’t stay again. Giving it two stars because the view was nice.
Room was fantastic checkin was horrible but manager upgraded us to a full kitchen suite oceanfront beautiful
Beautiful room. Suites are spacious.Customer service /staff needs improvement.Check in process long-made a mistake on charges and knowledge of amenities of resort limited. Sent several different places, not to find what I was looking for. Great stay for room and view. Service-No!
Its always a great experience to come to Oceanaire. The check-in staff is fantastic, as is the rest of the staff. The room is immaculate and just a good place to spend time and vacation.
Great resort. We love coming to Virginia Beach and staying at such wonderful accomodations.
Very nice stay. Although a very nice suite, the room had issues with cleanliness, for the price!
I come here every year during off season to relax. The rooms are always clean, and the ocean front views are fantastic. They also have an adults only 21+ pool, which is the only one I could find in Virginia Beach!
Room was dirty on check in with splatter on the bathroom door from someone brushing their teeth and sand on the bar stools, with the Coronavirus still very prevalent this concerns us greatly as to whether anything has been cleaned or disinfected at all. We have been in line to see if we can change rooms for over a half hour and still have 4 people in front of us since they only have 1 person at the front desk at check in time. We are not impressed at all and we just got here. Off to a terrible start, hope it gets better.
To start it was not the room I requested, i requested a single queen bed and got two full size bed. They were not the most comfortable bed i’ve ever slept in( my back still hurt) The AC was very loud which made it difficult to sleep.
My sisters and I brought our family to the beach to celebrate Christmas. The rooms were so spacious and the oceanfront views of course were beautiful. Our suites had all the comforts of home and we were able to prepare a delicious holiday meal in our kitchens. We enjoyed our stay so much we didnt want to leave!
I really enjoyed my stay but we had to call maintenance several times... The fridge had to be replaced... The Wi-Fi had issues and the master suites bathtub was leaking...
Family friendly, beach front, cool people and staff. What else would you want.
Extremely understaffed and the staff that they do have obviously are not very competent at their jobs. I was given a replacement key which I wasn’t told that the other keys we had wouldn’t work anymore. In result I spent over and hour in the lobby waiting for a key which ruined $150 worth of seafood. The sub par hotel definitely isn’t worth the headache when dealing with staff. I would give this hotel at a 0 and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I would have rather stayed at a motel 6 or possibly even sleeping in the back seat of my car would have been less aggravation. Don’t make the same mistake I did.
Very nice resort hotel, right on the beach front. Good staff, clean big room, good amenities and pools. A great place to stay while in Virginia Beach
Great resort at a reasonable off-season price. The only reason I’m not giving a five star rating is because the resort does not offer a late checkout and the checkout time for all guests is 10am.Not really complaining about the time because 10am is fairly reasonable. However, there is a huge line at checkout and valet (these poor over worked people) is backed up for over 30 minutes to get all the departing guests their cars.Logistically the checkout process is a mess and could be remedied by allowing guests a later time to checkout instead of a mass checkout excursion at one time.Update: It took an hour, because there was only one valet because the other two called out and no one was able to fill in...the one valet worked 40 plus cars by himself.
Amazing view of the beach. Room was comfortable, but smaller than I was expecting. Overall Im enjoyed my room and the bath was clean. Wish the kitchenette in my room had a stove, but came with a toaster, blender, microwave and fridge. Great cloest space. The only thing I didnt enjoy was the 21+ pool area the same people hogged the hot tub for over an three hours, I felt that the staff could have stepped in so everyone could have an opportunity to enjoy it. Sun deck on the 10th floor was great while we waited for our room to be ready, fire oit outside the pool and sun deck were nice for the chilly nights. Amazing and friendly staff that spoke Everytime they saw us and very knowledgeable about the area and fun things to do. I will definitely stay at this hotel again, great location, thats close to alot of fun and interesting things to do, and good food locations. Someone did steal our towel that we put in the dryer, thats why I took off a star.
We had a 2 week stay at Oceanaire. It was very well kept, updated facilities. We rented an oceanfront suite for our daughter and her family and an ocean view for my husband and I. The views were both incredibly beautiful. We watched dolphins each morning while the beach was being cleaned / raked. The boardwalk and the beach were very clean, lots of fun things going on all of the time. The pool was small and If you want sun, you’ve got to go early. It was fully shaded by 4p. The staff from valet to property manager were all very friendly and so very helpful. We will be booking again in 2020.I highly recommend Oceanaiire.
Love the suites here. Felt like a home and comfy. My only suggestion is that you offer rooms with a king size bed. A suite having a queen size bed doesnt seem realistic for the price Im paying.
Nice hotel, not to high end, but overlooks the Atlantic. Nice staff. Clean and ultimately a good value.
We stayed in different room the night before(420b) 2nd night w stayed in (526b) my kids had terrible breathing problems, the room was moldy smell and damp bathroom. We had to get her double dose of her allergy medicine
Enjoying our owners yearly visit each time we come. Although it was a little colder this year. The above deck has a beautiful view and its nice to sit out on our balcony and look at the water, the morning sunrise and the evening sunset. Oh did I mention the water view is lovely.
The view from the top floor is amazing. The staff is friendly (I didnt interact with them much, but the times I did was nice) Theres a pool on the ground level that looks nice. Regrettably I left my swimming trunks at home. Also its cold outside. Heres a picture of the view from my room.
