We stayed here this past weekend. Upon arrival our impressions were good. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Shortly after our arrival we saw numerous roaches in the room. We were extremely turned off by this and approached the front desk immediately. We were told there was no manager on duty, but there was a room available that was a downgrade from what we originally paid for. So at 1am we had to move our room with an infant and then told we could speak to the manager in the morning. So we moved out room and we were able to speak to the manager in the morning. He showed no sympathy and was not apologetic. He acted like it was something that happens all the time. We had to wait around to see if we could get another room which a few hours later he did fund a new room. It was an ocean front room, which was better than our ocean view we originally had. We were advised by the front desk to ask for some sort of compensation, which we did. After fighting with the managers they eventually decided to offer us $50 to go to dinner. We were told someone would bring the gift cards up. Nobody ever did we left for the day and came back about 6pm so we can use the gift card for dinner. When we came back we were told that wasn’t happening and there was no manager to speak to in regards and come back in the morning. This was very frustrating because we were continuously getting the run around. At checkout the next morning they did give us the gift card. This was not about the gift card. It was about the fact that nobody was taking responsibility and had to spend an entire day waiting for a room and waiting for “compensation” that was promised to us. The front desk personnel were helpful, but the management was absolutely unacceptable. With Having to move 3 rooms in 24 hours and and the lack of acknowledgment or apologies I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I hope management uses this instance in order to improve the way their business is ran.
What a lovely hotel! I rented the penthouse - it had a beautiful spiral staircase leading to two of the upper level rooms, on the lower level was another room, a full kitchen, living room and dining room.Each room had its own jacuzzi tub situated in a beautiful full bathroom. Each room also had full accommodations and a balcony with seating.Parking in a secure garage was included in the price of the room.Excellent location, excellent service!The experience was wonderful, I highly recommend this hotel over any of the others I have stayed at in Virginia Beach (which is quite a few of the oceanfront ones)!
* See update belowDo not get a city view room! Ocean Beach Club is always nice since it is right on the beach, but to maximize your stay opt for an oceanview or oceanfront room. I normally get oceanfront, but this visit I had to get a city view so I was woken up at 7am by garbage trucks instead of the ocean.*Update: Managment was very accommodating and provided us a room upgrade which was a pleasant surprise
Rooms are ok. They need to be updated and better kept. Doors to patios need special technique to lock, inside pools are kept chilly for October season, several elevators not working, small TVs in both rooms (ours broke), the hot tub was closed and we had to go without water for 6 hours for service. The staff was pretty nice and responsive. For the price point I might suggest another resort, with more updated rooms and amenities.
Hotel was nice but my experience with the owners, Diamonds Resorts put a real damper on my vacation. I highly recommend that you not attend one of their presentations. We were told it would be less than two hours when being asked if we could attend. We scheduled childcare for our 4 kids accordingly. However, once we were 2 hrs into the actual presentation, we shared that we had only scheduled childcare for the 2 hours that was communicated. The staff were extremely rude, especially one of the sales persons, Shawn, who told us we could just walk out anytime and not have our promised gift after 2 1/2 hours. Ultimately, I will never support Diamonds in any way directly or indirectly going forward. Very disrespectful and inconsiderate.
This place was so nice n clean..It was greatLike a lil apartment but better..An absoluteAMAAAAZING VIEW.And the people were all very friendly as well. We Absolutely loveit and will definitely be going back asap.(The only complaint we have is they never asked if we needed anything.I guess because of covid..)But all you have to do is ask.

We enjoyed our stay here with a beautiful ocean view from suite. It did get noisy with the jets & helicopters frequently flying over. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They checked everyone coming in after 8:00 for ID, masks were required everywhere. The morning we were leaving we were greeted by a flat tire : (The young gentleman on duty at the door jumped into action & helped us get that tire changed to the donut & directed us to a place to get the tire fixed. He couldnt have been any more helpful! We certainly appreciated it.
$300 deposit that isnt mentioned nowhere at all until you go to check in.......THEN find a spoon with dried peanut butter on it?! Word?! Na, never again... Holiday Inn would NEVER!!!Edit: 11/25/2020Having it listed on your site in fine print is useless if you reserve the room through booking or orbitz or a third party site...If you dont get what I am saying you wont get it because there is a disconnect between you and everyone else.

Due to the pandemic I had to cancel my travel. This hotel is the only company that declined any sort of refund or credit toward future travel. Disappointing, seeing as it is not currently recommended to travel.
Location is good. Hotel staff were nice.My issue was I paid for parking for 3 nights. However when I was leaving my card said it expired the night before. The person at the parking deck was no help.
Nice but the tv and stove needs an update. THE STOVE WAS SO OLD. It was repaired and then broke again. The tv was not a smart tv and you could not get Netflix on it. I know the oweners pay maintenance fees.The cleaning crews were great. The lady wiping the elevators down was greatly appreciated! The front desk was very considerate and accommodating. Hand sanitizer was everywhere. Security was everywhere and made you feel safe also. Activities were on point. Yoga on the beach and glass and ceramic activities. I would definitely return. I cook so the stove needs to be replaced!
Nice but not worth the cost. Could be much nicer. Im in a one bedroom and the pull out bed in the living room is bigger than the bed in the bedroom. The bathroom was not very clean. I called for some pillow cases for the extra pillows and they never came. Staff is friendly. I am in the property management field and very surprised as to the attention to detail given this is a diamond resort.
Loved the suite we had on the 5th floor it was ocean front. Everything was so clean and everyone that worked there were helpful and nice. The pools were awesome as well. My family and I will definitely be coming back to this hotel. Its amazing especially if you have kids
I had a two bedroom oceanfront suite which had a beautiful view of the beach and pool. The location was wonderful and I was so glad we brought our bicycles because we rode them every morning on the bike path, though there were bike rentals everywhere. There were local places to eat and there was a pool for 21 year old and over because the other pools did it get crowded with kids at times. The staff could not have been nicer. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Location is great. Rooms are outdated which is okay but the bed and pillows were so uncomfortable. Its nice to have a kitchen. 2 balconies were nice to have. The room was clean enough though except the windows were so dirty. The plumbing is so loud at night. We asked 2 staff where the gym was and they didnt know. The glass on the sun deck was filthy. Glass on the main level was filthy. Could barely see the ocean through it. It seems staff has a lot of free time because they stand around a lot. Front desk was good checking in and out. The oceanfront view seeing the dolphins every day was amazing. The gym has nice views and is sufficient and seems clean enough. Drinks at the tiki bar were artificial, not made with fresh ingredients, and too sweet. Servers were good though. The adult pool was so cold and they had the doors open almost all the time during the chilly weather which is ridiculous. It would be nice if the hotel would accommodate chilly weather better. Especially if they didnt leave the doors open at the pools. Overall, this hotel can really use some help but it has its good sides too.
Clean accommodations, friendly staff. On the ocean. If you like fighter aircraft, the navy fly right over the building. They do respect night time sleep hours. The poolside bar and grill was very good. Great service.

Check in was very chaotic, i repeated my telephone number multiple times to be alerted when the room was ready. That number was not notified. Though honestly, with covid masks and barriers, really couldnt hear anything! Would be nice to have a better check in system. When we finally checked in for birthday celebration week, room had dirty linen on the floor!! Seriously- you had all day!! Smeared window and dirty shelves in kitchen with toothpaste on bathroom wall. Strange room setup, not at all what we expected two bedrooms are completely locked off. Your kids will be staying completely separate from you. Very odd for a two bedroom unit, you have to go through locked doors to go room to room. Just didnt feel clean at all, even the valet/ bellhop made a comment. Sadly disappointed. Not the experience we expected.
Place was nice. We requested a room with a balcony and ocean view when we booked. Ended up with a view of parking garage. No pool towels furnished went to store and bought our own. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
Very clean and well taken care of facility. Our room was in a suite, it was fairly small but it was cozy. We reserved on groupon but on arrival we were charged $27/day and they needed a $300 refundable deposit.

Everything from the front desk to the room service was great! The room was super clean and everything was up to date. A little expensive. The only thing I would recommend is that you don’t get a room facing the ocean beach club. That side of the hotel faces other rooms and you may get a rowdy bunch that’ll keep you up till 2am.
Booked room online, did not state anything about a extra charge of 54.60 addental once you check in . Room was very very small, tv was a flat screen but old is an understatement. Picture was like I was using bunny ears. I will no longer bring my business to this location. Would not recommend to anyone.
Pros: great beach access and several pools on site. 1 bedroom suite felt larger than expected.Cons: poor room condition. Had to change rooms due to stains on mattress, unclean floors and dirty linen. 2nd room was better, but floors were still VERY dirty.

Zero stars for the cleaning service our room was not clean. I called down to the front desk the young lady said I could come back down to get another room. She did not try very hard to make sure we were taken care of. The bathtub, a.c. unit, and refrigerator was not clean. I had to plug into the bedroom plugin because the bathroom plug didnt work. Water was bubbling up into the sink from the pipes. So disappointed.5 stars for Mr Quincey Harris, Ms Taylor Hodges, and Ms Briarsha Palmer were very professional and polite. Greated me and made me feel better.

Room was tiny for the price. Payed for a Oceanview room and got a city view. Im a VA Beach Local and live 2 minutes from the beach and only got a room for my fiances birthday to wake up right on the water. Not to mention we had no balcony. Not an enjoyable stay at all to be couped up in a room and not even enjoy fresh air let alone get the room I payed for.
Great view, decent room but check in process and overall lack of staff left something to be desired. Also they have a $300 dollar incidental charge which lead to multiple people in front of me decide not to stay and then process a return for the room, which stretched the wait even longer.
The best resort for all the luxuries you want for an excellent vacation. Will be staying here again.
Dont get a street side room if you expect a quiet night sleep. Even on the 9th floor the sound reverberates up from the building on other side of the street. If you are from a high density living area (NYC) it may not bother you. It did me.

Ive stayed in Ocean Beach before as an owner as the experience was top stars. Staying here as a guest not so much. The fridge was stained. The bath tub jets are broken and there are stains on the floor. There was a rag on the bathroom floor when we arrived and the towels were stained. I would think during this time (covid19) cleaning measures would be better. Makes me a bit concerned about the rest of the room.However the employees are delightful and accommodating. I just expect more when staying in Diamomd Property.

Stayed here last week- highly recommend!!!! Me and my husband were beyond pleased with our stay. Honestly I saw alot of negative reviews and I am so confused like why or how. We got a balcony suite first off worth every penny get it- saw dolphins right outside our room almost every single morning! Amazing view. Pools were just all great! The adult one was a nice choice but also just loved the outside pools and glad they were heated! Loved the tinki bar excellent drinks and honestly our favorite food we had (get the pulled pork- delicious!!!!). Staff was friendly, room very clean and spacious. SO close to so many shops, restaurants we didnt have to drive anywhere all week really minus the aquarium which was also a very short drive and cant beat being able to walk right to the beach from the hotel. Will 100% be back again sometime. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. If youre looking for an excellent hotel in the Virginia Beach area look no further and book here you will not regret it!

Great view of the ocean, nice swimming pools, convenient bike trail, and boardwalk. Practicing/enforcing covid safety. Food at the pool but no indoor restaurant (close by).
They currently have the hot tubs closed, but pools open. I didnt see the fire pits outside, but you were still able to sit outside and the lounge chairs. Room was clean, staff was practicing social distancing and parking is included. This hotel is right on the boardwalk, next to multiple restaurants and shops.

Dont ever stay here, Im here now and Im leaving I had roaches in my room the kitchen was nasty and all they offered me was to change rooms. Do not waste your money on this resort. Im contacting there cooperate office abs calling my bank to tell them was going on, I also have pictures. Please find another hotel, you will be disappointed.
My wife & I stayed here for a 3 day weekend in January. The staff was very helpful & friendly! We even got a free upgrade to an ocean view room! The free dvd rental selection was great and the employee was nice to work with! We’ll definitely be back!

Bed was hurting my back. Noisy all night. door creeks. Didnt sleep much. Only good thing it by the ocean. Pool was packed the whole time. Weird shape pool.
Better places to stay! Don’t mind paying $1,700 for two days but not to be insulted by the Kid Dennis (night auditor) upon check in. After traveling, show me the bed! Dennis claimed my card declined for the 24$ parking pass. Confused, I handed another card and looked at my online banking app. Selected declined transactions, and it stated none! I showed Dennis my account with no declined transactions.As Dennis laughed, I asked Dennis, “why would you lie, where you trying to embarrass me”. The other front desk attendants turned in shame of him.The room, sub par at best! I’ve stayed at other properties on the VB strip with better amenities, cleaner rooms, and more square footage.Not worth it.
The pool is amazing. The staff is great. Had water problem. The sink in our room was overflowing. The carpet soaking wet. They didnt clean the room. Used our towels to dry up the water and didnt replace them. We came back and everything was a mess. The water was having to dry with chemical smell from the plumbing. Called for new towels twice before getting them. We should have been moved to a new room. They said they were at capicity but could still book rooms online as we checked. We basically didnt push the issue because we want to enjoy our vacation. So we pretty much stayed on the beach and by the pool. Still a good place to stay. Wouldnt own a timeshare here.

I just got a queen size standard room with a side balcony Customer service tried to accommodate me but hotel was fully booked but they tried so atleast the Customer service was good.
Not a good experience, I was rushed out of my room before checking out. Housekeeping kept walking in the room without knocking. The appliances in room did not work very well.
Nice place, although for it to be a timeshare property I expected the rooms to be updated. The room was very small with some cosmetic issues.
Its a nice resort. Personally wouldnt pay the nightly prices if we didnt have a timeshare. Most of the same comforts at lower end hotels. But the adult only pools, jacuzzi tubs, and the like are nice.

My fiancé and I decided to take a staycation this weekend. We were going to take a drive but decided to support our local hotels. We decided upon Ocean Beach Club after researching the property and reviews. We arrived after 6pm on 5.29.2020, dropped our things off and headed to the strip. Came back to the suite and went to sleep. My fiancé awoke around 3 am to discover that the room was not up to par! With the Covid-19 situation, we didn’t realize we needed to complete an inspection of a suite at a 4 star resort! 1st My fiancé found someone’s (maybe a previous guest) medication under the bathroom sink which means whomever cleaned that room DID NOT sweep the floor. 2nd as he was getting under the covers he noticed red spots on the the lightweight blanket which was white. I awoke around 5:45 at which time he showed me the pills he found earlier! I then got up and we decided to do an inspection of the room. What we saw was beyond disgusting! We stripped the bed to see that the blanket (that was under a flat sheet) had foundation (makeup) on it along with some other type of substance! We went into the living room and I noticed peanuts under the couch, hair in the refrigerator and jacuzzi tub which I didn’t get a chance to use. It looked as if the room had not been cleaned recently period. At that point my fiancé reached out to front desk (Alex) at which time he was told he had to wait until the housekeeping manager was available at 8:30am. My fiancé spoke with the housekeeping manager Wendy and explained the situation. We asked to do a walk through with her but was advised by Wendy that she didn’t need to see it because there had been other complaints regarding cleanliness and that she has had to talk to her supervisors and staff about this issue before ! Let me make this clear we did not NEED to stay in a hotel, we decided to do something nice for ourselves by patronizing one of our local establishments again that is a 4 star hotel!!! Wendy stated she was only able to offer a 50 gift card anything else would have to be discussed with the front desk associate Sarah. It was a back and forth conversation with Sarah and Wendy about how to make this right which ended with us waiting in the lobby for Sarah to return from inspecting the suite, which no one informed us of this while we waited about 10 minutes(I overheard another front desk clerk tell another associate that Sarah was inspecting a room). My fiancé spoke with Sarah who informed him that he could receive a refund for half of what was paid for the suite. My fiancé was not happy with that at which time Sarah advised him that Wendy has the authority to offer any additional refunds. I’m not sure where the disconnect was but my fiancé and I was told by Wendy that Sarah makes those types of decisions. It seemed as though no one may have not known protocol for something like this. After having to deal with this situation for about an hour, Sarah took my fiancé’s cell number for a callback today 5.30.2020. I am surprised at what took place today, being as though this is a highly rated hotel. With the way our world has changed recently, we expected basic cleanliness. The hotel did have hand sanitizer and masks available (thank you for that) however, that suite had not been cleaned and that is not ok.
Gets the job done. 4 kids in the sleeper sofa was pushing it. I noticed some guests didnt feel it was necessary to wear a mask, so if your worried about it make sure to wear yours. Pool area got rowdy, not a family friendly atmosphere on Friday & Sat. into the nights. Staff did move the partiers into Oceanaire which is 21 & up only.
I booked with this establishment because of its upscale service and amenities as a reward for a deserving supporter of mine. I entered the studio room to decorate and to bring food. Upon entering the room and looking out of balcony I wished I had booked this room for myself. It had the best view I have ever seen on the oceanfront. I plan to come back very soon for myself.

We have been timeshare owners for at least 9 years, in the beginning everything was new and everything in the rooms worked as they should. Over the years the check in process has become a natural pain, if you get onsite at the scheduled time. Your room was NEVER ready, its not so bad as we plan accordingly. Go to the check in counter, give the same contact number then go grocery shopping. At least two-four hours would pass then the suite would be ready. Maint. fees consistently go up yet no remodeling has occured. The only reason we have stuck it out, was the location and amenities. The Club is great, no question but its not like it used to be We have since found someone to buy our time slot now we use another website to stay in VA beach.
Upon arrival at the Ocean Beach Club, the initial interaction with the valet was excellent however when we arrived to the room, we noticed it didn’t appear to be cleaned. There was dust and hair on the nightstand, kitchen counters dirty with handprints as well as the bathroom. In addition the tub did not drain properly, when showering, I was standing in water. The windows had smudges, hand prints as well as head prints. The blankets were also soiled. I love this location, whenever I’m traveling to the area this is where I prefer to reside or next door at the Oceannaire. The seating areas in had soiled cushions. I was surprised with some of the conditions. The staff were accommodating; Jayla Wright, front desk, Juan Ortiz or Orlando/who supervises maintenance staff, Darren Douglas, valet, made my visit more tolerable. The gifted me with an extra day. The staff did whatever was within there authority level to enhance my overall experience.
A very nice rest place. Clean, quiet, neatness was a plus. The only reason that the Stars dropped is because right when we was getting ready to check out, the valet was very rude and said we dont have no carts just two or three for your luggage in the whole hotel. Just got here and have been charge for parking when i was told we could have 2 car passes which sounded right . We booked a 2 bedroom master suite ocean front for 6 people so needed 2 cars. So far bathroom doors dont lock and to be honest overall kinda disappointed in room looks nothing like the pictures and way less room. Will post more on this place once ive been here longer. If you book go through hotel.com or booking better deals we went through the hotel and they havent held up their end like they said they would. Go to the hilton same price plus much nicer

Did not stay here, too expensive. My son was hired, given his hours for one day, and then management did not inform him of what his schedule would be. She completely ignored his messages for the next two days requesting his schedule. He quit. Completely unprofessional and rude. Not sure how they keep staff there with a management team like that.

Negative: No bed linens! We call house keeping four times in an hour and a half. The first four times collimating in their agreeing to take the linens to the front desk and would be waiting for me when I got there. not there, my wife called they l they lied to her

Great, great place. But..... beware of the Diamond sales people! Very aggressive in trying to sell you a points system Timeshare. We already own here and they still are like hungry wolves. The place is awesome though!
The rooms are very nice and they swimming pool inside and outside and a bar outside by the pool.
The actual picture are of a studio room oceanfront on the 12th floor. The studio is extremely clean and very well lay out. The room has a small safe, a fridge, glasses and a balcony. The bathroom is updated and very clean and bright. This studio is a great room for couples. The resort also has a variety of pools each designated for different age groups. The only downfall is the parking is across the street from the resort so you have to make sure u park upfront unload ur car than drive it there. The parking garage fee is included in your resort fees.The location is great several good restaurants options available even off season and ice scream places. Overall great experience.

Lovely place to vacation. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They remodeled the rooms, so now they look more modern. Its usually not really cold in December when we visit so it makes for a nice get a way after the hustle and bustle of Christmas!
Ocean Beach Club is a time share property. My check in was Friday and check out was Sunday and the most enjoyable part of my stay were the things not associated with the property: the beach, beach walk and shopping. We reserved a queen bed suite and got a double bed. The bed was so low to the floor, creaked when we sat on it and was as hard as the floor. Within an hour of getting into our room, Maintenance knocked on our door to check for bugs and shortly after he left we found an small roach crawling up a wall. We had two sleepless nights on the hardest mattress for a $300 per night room rate. The humidity in our room was unbearable despite cranking the AC window unit to the low 60s. Our room faced Atlantic Road and we heard traffic on the street all night long. The suite had a small kitchenette and we couldnt find the purpose of wasted space this kitchenette took up for such a small room. The left side of the cabinetry was unfinished and it appeared as if the fridge placed in the kitchenette was smaller than the space and we could see the unfinished cabinetry. The carpet was unvacuumed in our room and was soiled and had snags. There were no USB charging stations in the room. The caliber of guests checking in were on a vacation on redeemed time share vouchers because they wouldnt have otherwise been able to stay on the beach. There is no in house restaurant and the pool side cantina offers little food from 11 - 7. We will stay at the Hilton instead.
Always a great place to go! Pretty well kept resort style property. Bedding could be better but the beds themselves were good. Drain in the jetted tub was extra cruddy which negated the confidence in the actual cleanliness of the tub not just the surface appearance.
For the amount of money, I paid I was very disappointed. My first room was not cleaned properly. They had dirty dishes in the room and the tub had not been cleaned. I complained to management and moved to a second room, that was cleaned properly. The pool also needs to be cleaned more often as well. I will not be coming back to this hotel.

The property was beautiful in a great location. Check in was chaotic and unpleasant: felt like we were being handled the whole time. There was no food or morning coffee on-site (except for the insta-brew in the room). The view from the 14th floor was incredible. Plenty of elevators, paid parking was a block away covered in daily resort fee.
Great place. we had thier 1 room queen bed..it does not have any view for sea..the amenities are good.. all the pools are nice..game room is small but decent..it is nearby lots of good places to eat..would recommend this place to anyone who viaists Virginia beach
Positive: It was half open due to Covid restrictions. Negative: I feel like I could have had a better time at Motel 6 for much less money spent. Last visit there was when the pools and spas were open. It made a major difference.
Staff was super friendly, amenities were great. Located right on the Beach. Rooms could be updated though.

Positive: The location Negative: The first room I stayed in was not what I ordered we had to ocean view. I called the hotel after I booked the room to request a view and. Balcony however we still did not get it the next day I booked another room and was not able to check in until 8pm
